Abstract
To provide a technology which is advantageous to improve usability of a recording device.SOLUTION: A recording device according to the invention includes a recording head for discharging an ink to perform recordings. The recording device includes: an output section which outputs a waste ink discharged from the recording head; a container which is configured so as to be insertable to / removable from the device body and connected to the output section when inserted into the device body and receives the waste ink output from the output section. The output section includes a passage part for leading out the waste ink.
