Abstract

To switch to a four wheel drive state as much as possible even when an abnormality occurs in a sensor for detecting the rotational speed of a wheel.SOLUTION: The controller includes an abnormality determination unit (step S5) that determines that the number of wheel speed sensors in which an abnormality has occurred among a total of four wheel speed sensors provided for each of the first wheel and the second wheel is two or less, a vehicle stop determination unit (step S7) that determines that a vehicle speed detected by a wheel speed sensor having no abnormality is equal to or less than a predetermined vehicle speed, and a switching instruction unit (step S8) that permits switching of the dog clutch from the released state to the engaged state on condition that the vehicle stop determination unit determines that the vehicle speed is equal to or less than the predetermined vehicle speed and the abnormality determination unit determines that the number of wheel speed sensors in which an abnormality has occurred is two or less.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
