Abstract
Description
[Technical Field]
[0001] The present invention relates to a fastening device and a method for attaching a linear object, and more particularly to a fastening device and a method for attaching a linear object that can fasten a linear object to fasten an article. [Background technology]
[0002] In daily life, we often tie things with linear objects such as strings and belts, and the most common fastening method is to use the linear object to pass through holes on the item and secure it with a knot, such as tying shoelaces. However, such fastening methods tend to loosen the knot due to external forces, which not only requires the knot to be retightened, but also causes inconvenience because the item cannot be tied securely.
[0003] To solve this problem, some companies have developed a simple linear object fastening mechanism, which includes a housing, a brake unit, and a spring. The housing has a linear object threading hole for threading the linear object, and the linear object is clamped between the brake unit and the housing by the force acting between the spring and the brake unit to achieve the fastening effect. The length of the linear object can be changed by pulling it by pressing the spring and changing the position of the brake unit. However, such a linear object fastening mechanism provides fastening force by the return force of a spring, and the linear object is still likely to loosen due to vibration or external force. Moreover, such a linear object fastening mechanism does not have space to store the linear object, which can easily expose the linear object and pose a danger. Summary of the Invention [Problem to be solved by the invention]
[0004] For this reason, some companies have developed another fastener that can tighten and fix a linear object while rotating it. This fastener can accommodate the linear object inside the fastener, and by using the mechanical force of the internal member, the length of the linear object can be adjusted and the degree of tightening can be adjusted. However, such fasteners have a complicated structure, which increases manufacturing costs and makes assembly and maintenance difficult. Furthermore, when the linear object breaks and needs to be replaced, the process of disassembling (the fastener), replacing the linear object, and reassembling it is very tedious, leaving room for improvement. [Means for solving the problem]
[0005] According to one aspect of the present invention, a fastening device is provided, comprising: a housing including a housing having a storage space and two linear object threading holes communicating with the storage space; a base removably connected to the housing and including a continuous annular wall; a reel stored in the storage space and winding a linear object that has passed through the two linear object threading holes; and a knob provided on the housing; when the base is connected to the housing, the continuous annular wall surrounds the bottom edge of the housing, and the knob is rotated relative to the housing to fasten the linear object in conjunction with the reel.
[0006] This allows the base and the housing to be combined more stably, and the reliability of the structure to be improved, by using a structural arrangement in which the continuous ring wall surrounds the bottom edge of the housing.
[0007] According to the fastening device of the above aspect, the continuous annular wall may have a uniform height.
[0008] According to the fastening device of the above aspect, the continuous annular wall may have a non-uniform height.
[0009] According to the fastening device of the above aspect, the continuous ring wall may include two first segments and two second segments that are alternately connected, and each of the first segments is higher than each of the second segments.
[0010] According to the fastening device of the above aspect, the housing may further include at least one engaging protrusion, and the base may further include at least one hole, and the at least one engaging protrusion corresponds to and fits into the at least one hole.
[0011] According to the fastening device of the above aspect, the housing may include three of the mating protrusions, two of the three mating protrusions protruding radially outward from a first side of the housing, and the remaining one of the three mating protrusions protruding radially outward from a second side of the housing.
[0012] According to the fastening device of the above aspect, the base may include a guide groove and a bottom wall connected to the continuous annular wall, and the base may include three of the holes, the three holes being recessed radially at locations of the continuous annular wall close to the bottom wall, and the guide groove being located in the continuous annular wall and aligned with the hole corresponding to the remaining one engaging protrusion.
[0013] According to the fastening device of the above aspect, the housing may further include a flange that protrudes outward in the radial direction and is abutted against the continuous annular wall.
[0014] According to the fastening device of the above aspect, the housing may further include an extended protrusion extending axially downward from the flange, and the base further includes an alignment recess located in the continuous annular wall and aligned with the extended protrusion.
[0015] According to one aspect of the present invention, there is provided a linear object attachment method for connecting a linear object to a fastening device, the method comprising: a fastening device providing step of providing a fastening device including a housing including a housing having an accommodation space and two linear object threading holes communicating with the accommodation space, a base that is detachably connectable to the housing and includes a continuous annular wall, and when connected to the housing, the continuous annular wall surrounds the bottom edge of the housing; a reel that is stored in the accommodation space and that winds a linear object that has passed through the two linear object threading holes; and a linear object attachment step of exposing the first and second ends of the linear object from the housing after they have passed through the housing and the reel, tying the first and second ends together, and then coupling the linear object to the reel.
[0016] According to the method for attaching a linear object of the above aspect, after the linear object is coupled to the reel, the base is connected to the housing. [Brief explanation of the drawings]

[0018] Hereinafter, embodiments of the present invention will be described with reference to the drawings. For clarity, many practical details will be lumped together in the following description. However, readers should understand that these practical details are not intended to limit the present invention. That is, in some embodiments of the present invention, these practical details are not necessary. In addition, to simplify the drawings, some existing conventional structures and elements are shown in the drawings in a simple and exemplary manner, and overlapping elements may be represented by the same or similar numbers.
[0019] In this specification, terms such as "first," "second," and "third" are used merely to describe different elements or components and do not limit the elements / components themselves. Therefore, a first element / component may be changed to a second element / component. Furthermore, the combinations of elements / components / mechanisms / modules in this specification are not generally known, conventional, or existing combinations in this field. Therefore, whether the combinations can be easily completed by a person skilled in the art cannot be determined based on whether the elements / components / mechanisms / modules themselves are conventional.
[0020] <First Example> 1 is a perspective schematic diagram showing a fastening device 100 according to a first embodiment of the present invention, FIG. 2 is an exploded schematic diagram showing the fastening device 100 of the first embodiment of FIG. 1, and FIG. 3 is another exploded schematic diagram showing the fastening device 100 of the first embodiment of FIG. 1. The fastening device 100 may include a housing 200, a reel 300, and a knob 500. The housing 200 includes a case 260 including an accommodation space 210 and two linear object threading holes 220 communicating with the accommodation space 210, and a base 270. The base 270 is detachably connected to the housing 260 and includes a continuous annular wall 274. The reel 300 is stored in the accommodation space 210, and a linear object T1 (shown in FIG. 4) is passed through the two linear object threading holes 220 before being wound around the reel 300, and the knob 500 is provided on the housing 200. When the base 270 is connected to the housing 260, the continuous annular wall 274 surrounds the bottom edge 264 of the housing 260, and the knob 500 is rotated relative to the housing 200 to engage the reel 300 and tighten the linear object T1.
[0021] As a result, the continuous annular wall 274 surrounds the bottom edge 264 of the housing 260, which allows the base 270 and the housing 260 to be more stably combined and improves structural reliability. The fastening device 100 will be described in detail later.
[0022] 2 and 3, the housing 260 may further include a plurality of internal teeth 230 and a lower opening 240. The internal teeth 230 face the accommodating space 210, and the lower opening 240 communicates with the accommodating space 210. By assembling the base 270, the lower opening 240 can be sealed to prevent the reel 300 from being removed from the accommodating space 210 via the lower opening 240. In particular, the continuous annular wall 274 is integrally molded, and no significant axial notch is recessed into the continuous annular wall 274 during molding. The continuous annular wall 274 may have a uniform height or a non-uniform height. Even if the continuous annular wall 274 has a non-uniform height (i.e., the height of each segment on the continuous annular wall 274 is different), this height changes smoothly rather than having an axial notch that is suddenly and obviously lowered. As a result, due to the structural arrangement in which the height of the continuous ring wall 274 changes smoothly, the base 270 has strong stress resistance and great covering power, and can be stably assembled with the housing 260. Furthermore, it is possible to avoid the problem that conventional bases suffer from large forces at the corners of the axial notches during disassembly and assembly, causing cracks or breakage, and the reliability of the fastening device 100 can be improved.
[0023] The housing 260 may further include at least one mating protrusion 261, 262, 263, and the base 270 may further include at least one hole 271, 272, 273, where the at least one mating protrusion 261, 262, 263 corresponds to and fits into the at least one hole 271, 272, 273. In a first embodiment, the housing 260 may include three mating protrusions 261, 262, 263, and two of the three mating protrusions 261, 262, 263, the mating protrusions 261, 262, protrude radially outward from a first side of the housing 260, and the remaining mating protrusion 263 of the three mating protrusions 261, 262, 263, protrude radially outward from a second side of the housing 260. The base 270 may include a guide groove 275 and a bottom wall 276 connected to the continuous annular wall 274, and the base 270 may include three holes 271, 272, 273, which are radially recessed in the continuous annular wall 274 near the bottom wall 276, and the guide groove 275 is located in the continuous annular wall 274 and is aligned with the hole 273 corresponding to the remaining mating protrusion 263. In other words, the base 270 can be assembled to the housing 260 through the structural relationship in which the mating protrusions 261, 262, 263 are fitted into the holes 271, 272, 273, respectively. During the assembly process, the mating protrusions 261, 262 are first inserted into the holes 271, 272, and then the mating protrusion 263 can be inserted into the hole 273 according to the guidance of the guide groove 275. In other embodiments, the number of fitting protrusions and holes can be changed as needed, and the guide groove does not necessarily have to be provided, and the present invention is not limited thereto.
[0024] 2 and 3, please refer to Fig. 4, which is a partial cross-sectional side view of the fastening device 100 of the first embodiment of Fig. 1 coupled to a linear object T1, and Fig. 5, which is a cross-sectional side view of the fastening device 100 of the first embodiment of Fig. 1 coupled to a linear object T1, where the base 270 is omitted in Fig. 4. The reel 300 may have a disk structure and includes a central post (not shown), a first opening 321, a second opening (not shown), and a bottom hole 315, the first opening 321 and the second opening communicating with the bottom hole 315. The first and second ends of the linear object T1 can be coupled to the reel 300 by passing through the first opening 321 and the second opening, respectively, and the linear object T1 is wound around the central post. In detail, the first end of the linear object T1 can be exposed from the lower opening 240 after passing through the first opening 321 and the bottom hole 315, and the second end of the linear object T1 can be exposed from the lower opening 240 after passing through the second opening and the bottom hole 315, and can be tied by the user, thus preventing the linear object T1 from detaching from the first opening 321 and the second opening, and then the base 270 can be assembled to the housing 260.
[0025] The knob 500 may include a rotating cover 530 and an internal disk 510, and the internal disk 510 is coupled to the rotating cover 530. The fastening device 100 may further include a brake unit 400 coupled to the knob 500 and the reel 300, a ratchet 800 provided in the housing 260, and a spring 700 located on the ratchet 800 and seated in the internal disk 510, so that when the knob 500 rotates, it drives the brake unit 400, rotates in conjunction with the reel 300, and tightens the linear object T1.
[0026] More specifically, ratchet 800 includes a plurality of lower diagonal teeth 810, a plurality of upper diagonal teeth 820, and a plurality of ratchet teeth 830, wherein the lower diagonal teeth 810 and the upper diagonal teeth 820 are both located on the outer surface of ratchet 800, the lower diagonal teeth 810 are located below the upper diagonal teeth 820 to correspond to internal teeth 230, and the ratchet teeth 830 are located on the inner surface of ratchet 800.
[0027] The brake unit 400 is located within the ratchet 800 and includes a brake ring 410, an internal gear 450, a plurality of engagement teeth 460, and three ratchet pawls 470. The internal gear 450 is located within the brake ring 410, is axially displaceable relative to the brake ring 410, and includes a threaded hole 451. The engagement teeth 460 are located on the internal gear 450 and detachably mesh with the meshing teeth 330, and the three ratchet pawls 470 are provided on the brake ring 410 and correspond to the ratchet teeth 830.
[0028] The knob 500 may further include a guide inclined block 520 located on the inner wall of the rotating cover 530 and corresponding to the upper inclined tooth 820, and the inner disk 510 may further include a stud bolt 511 and an engagement arm 512, wherein the stud bolt 511 is screwed into the corresponding screw hole 451, and the engagement arm 512 is selectively coupled to the engagement protrusion 411 of the brake ring 410.
[0029] With this structural arrangement, when the rotating cover 530 rotates in the tightening direction, the ratchet pawl 470 and the ratchet teeth 830 repeatedly separate, allowing the reel 300 to tighten the linear object T1. Conversely, when the rotating cover 530 rotates in the loosening direction without being pressed, the internal gear 450 is driven by the stud bolt 511 to rise relative to the brake ring 410. In this case, the internal gear 450 separates from the meshing teeth 330, allowing the reel 300 to rotate freely without being constrained and loosen the linear object T1. When the rotating cover 530 rotates in the loosening direction and is pressed, the upper diagonal teeth 820 are guided by the guide inclined block 520, causing the ratchet 800 to repeatedly rise, repeatedly separating the lower diagonal teeth 810 from the internal teeth 230, and further gradually loosening the linear object T1.
[0030] <Second Example> Please refer to FIG. 6, which is a perspective schematic diagram showing a base 270a of a fastening device according to a second embodiment of the present invention, FIG. 7, which is a side view of the base 270a of the second embodiment of FIG. 6, and FIG. 8, which is a side cross-sectional schematic diagram of the base 270a of the second embodiment of FIG. 6 along the section line 8-8. FIGS. 6 to 8 show only the base 270a, and do not show other components of the fastening device. The fastening device may actually further include a knob, a brake unit, a reel, and a housing. The knob may be enclosed in the housing, and the brake unit and reel may be disposed within the housing. The brake unit may include a ratchet pawl coupled to the knob and interfering with internal teeth on the housing. The reel may engage with the brake unit. Pulling or rotating the knob separates the brake unit from the reel, thereby allowing the reel to rotate freely. A detailed description of the details and structure of this part will be omitted. The base 270a is for combining with a housing and has a non-uniform height, and the continuous annular wall 271a may include two first segments 2711a and two second segments 2712a that are alternately connected, and each first segment 2711a is higher than each second segment 2712a. It should be particularly noted that in the second embodiment, the first segment 2711a and the second segment 2712a have no actual boundary and are distinguished as the first segment 2711a and the second segment 2712a only for ease of explanation, and the present invention is not limited thereto.
[0031] The height H2 of the first segments 2711a is greater than the height H1 of the second segments 2712a, and each first segment 2711a is connected to each second segment 2712a to form a continuous, integrated wall surface without any gaps. Each of the first and second segments 2711a and 2712a may have a high arc-shaped structure with a high middle portion and slightly lowered heights at both ends. That is, the height of the boundary between the second segment 2712a and the first segment 2711a is lower than the height H1, giving the continuous annular wall 271a a wavy structure.
