Abstract

The present invention provides a coated steel substrate in which weight loss due to oxidation of semi-finished products during the reheating process before rolling is reduced. [Solution] The present invention relates to a coated steel substrate coated with a first coating comprising more than 40% by weight of chromium, and optionally one or more elements selected from yttrium, silicon, calcium, titanium, zirconium, vanadium, niobium, and nickel in amounts of less than 10% by weight of each element, with the remainder being chromium, and a second coating comprising 2 to 30% by weight of aluminum, 10 to 40% by weight of chromium, and optionally one or more elements selected from yttrium, silicon, calcium, titanium, zirconium, vanadium, niobium, and nickel in amounts of less than 10% by weight of each element, with the remainder being iron, wherein the coated steel substrate contains 2.0% by weight or less of Cr, a method for manufacturing this coated steel substrate, a method for manufacturing coated hot steel products, coated hot steel products, and the use of hot steel products.
