Accurately monitor the concentration of volatile substances such as ethanol in the incubator and appropriately manage the impact of these volatile substances on the child's health. [Solution] The volatile substance monitoring system can be installed in a containment chamber (101) in which the internal temperature and humidity can be controlled to house a patient (X), and comprises an ethanol sensor (14a, 14b, 14c) for detecting the concentration of volatile substances in the containment chamber (101), and a recording means for recording the concentration of the volatile substance and detection time information indicating the time when the concentration of the volatile substance was detected, wherein the volatile substance is ethanol or isopropanol.
