The terminal device must properly use the relay device as an extended antenna. [Solution] A terminal device capable of forming multiple fixed beams holds first information that identifies the relationship between the number of beams used and the probability of maintaining communication quality in response to changes in the positional relationship between the terminal device and each of the multiple relay devices capable of relaying communication between the terminal device and the base station device to which the terminal device is connected. Second information is obtained regarding changes in the positional relationship between each of the multiple relay devices and the terminal device. Based on the first information, the second information, and the number of beams that can be used simultaneously from the multiple beams, the terminal device identifies one or more relay devices to be used and the number of beams to be used in communication using each of those one or more relay devices. A signal is then transmitted to the base station device using the identified number of beams toward the identified one or more relay devices.
