Abstract

The present invention provides a method for manufacturing a matte coating film that can be applied to a variety of materials and can provide a uniform and excellent matte finish. [Solution] A method for producing a matte coating film is provided, comprising the steps of (I) forming a coating film of an active energy ray curable composition on a substrate, (II) irradiating the coating film with ultraviolet light, and (III) irradiating the coating film with ultraviolet light using a low-pressure mercury lamp, wherein the active energy ray curable composition comprises a compound having a (meth)acryloyl group, a photopolymerization initiator, and fine particles, wherein the photopolymerization initiator comprises a 2-hydroxy-2-methyl-1-phenylpropanone structure or a benzophenone structure and includes a photopolymerization initiator (A) having an absorption peak at a wavelength of 270 nm or less, and the particle size of the fine particles is 1 nm or more and less than 10 μm.
