Abstract

To enable the use of the heat storage material at high temperatures and to suppress leakage of the heat storage material at the seal. [Solution] The rotary heating device (20) comprises a rotating shaft (21), a rotor (22) extending in the direction of extension of the rotating shaft and rotating around the rotating shaft as the center of rotation, a container (23) housing the rotor, a seal portion (33) provided in the portion of the container through which the rotating shaft passes, and a heat storage material (24) that flows through the inside of the container and is heated by friction with the rotating rotor. The heat storage material is a liquid or supercritical state that flows through the container at 200°C or higher. The container is provided with an inlet (37) for letting the heat storage material flow into the interior and an outlet (38) for letting the heat storage material flow out from the interior. The inlets are provided near both sides in the direction of extension of the rotor, and the outlet is provided near the center in the direction of extension of the rotor.
