Abstract
We provide an elevator system that allows for accurate intercom call testing with minimal personnel. [Solution] The elevator system comprises a car, an intercom installed inside the car that enables voice communication, operator equipment installed in the information center that enables voice communication with an operator at the information center, a terminal carried by a person inside the car that enables voice communication, and an information device that relays voice communication between the intercom and the operator equipment when an alarm is issued from the car. The information device accepts changes to the test mode settings associated with the car's unit number information and the terminal's identification information, and when the test mode is set, it switches the target of voice communication with the intercom from the operator equipment to the terminal and relays voice communication between the intercom and the terminal.
