Abstract

[Solution] A method for manufacturing wheels by cold extrusion, comprising the following steps: inserting a metal material for forging into a first die and obtaining a deep cylindrical blank (1) having a protruding flange shape by cold extrusion. The flange (101) diameter of the deep cylindrical blank is larger than the rim (103) diameter; inserting the deep cylindrical blank into a second die and obtaining a secondary blank (2) with spoke shapes extruded by cold extrusion; inverting the secondary blank by 180 degrees and inserting it into a third die, first pre-forming the rim by downward pressing of the third die, then cold extruding the rim end by downward pressing of the third die, and finally obtaining a finished wheel (3) with a rim shape. The wheel die for cold extrusion includes a first die, a second die, and a third die, and the first die comprises a first upper die (110), a first lower die (120), a first ejection pin (130), and a first cavity support seat (140). The cold extrusion wheel manufacturing method and molds improve the efficiency of wheel production, reduce production costs, and enhance quality.
