Description

Technical Field

[0001] The present disclosure relates to a reel for accommodating long objects such as hoses and cords.

Background Art

[0002] For example, in factories that handle various machine tools, an air blower gun that ejects compressed air supplied from a compressor, a high-pressure tank, etc. is used. Since this air blower gun is held by an operator by hand for work, it is connected to a flexible hose. Conventionally, the air blower gun has generally been used by being connected in a form of being suspended from a spiral hose (see, for example, Patent Document 1). Since the spiral hose does not require special installation work or the like for use, it can be easily used. In addition, since the spiral hose itself has elasticity, it can be configured to return to its original position when the user releases it, which is highly convenient and has a simple configuration, so it is widely used.

Summary of the Invention

Problems to be Solved by the Invention

[0004] However, the spiral hose becomes weak in elasticity due to repeated use and hanging the air blower gun for a long period of time, and plastic deformation progresses, resulting in a state where the spiral hose is stretched. In addition, when the hand is released from the air blower gun connected to the spiral hose, there is also a risk that the air blower gun will be pulled up forcefully and collide with surrounding objects or people. Thus, the spiral hose has problems to be improved in terms of durability and safety.

[0005] On the one hand, conventionally, a reel having a configuration capable of automatically winding a hose, a cord, or the like has been known. By using such a reel, convenience is high, durability is higher than that of using a spiral hose, and safety is also high.

[0006] In such a reel, since the hose, cord, etc. are automatically wound, when the hand is released from the hose, cord, etc., the hose, cord, etc. are always wound onto the reel, which may be difficult to use.

[0007] An object of the present disclosure is to provide a reel that is easy to use.

[0017] (Embodiment) FIG. 1 is a front view of the reel according to the present disclosure. FIG. 2 is a rear view of the reel according to the present disclosure. FIG. 3 is a bottom view of the reel according to the present disclosure. FIG. 4 is a cross-sectional view of the reel according to the present disclosure taken at the position of arrow A-A in FIGS. 1 and 2. FIG. 5 is a cross-sectional view of the reel according to the present disclosure taken at the position of arrow B-B in FIGS. 3 and 4. In the drawings, for convenience of explanation, orthogonal coordinates of U-D (up-down), L-R (left-right), and F-B (front-back) are provided, and in the following description, the directions of up and down, left and right, and front and back corresponding to these coordinates are used to describe the directions of each part together with words such as the front side and the rear side. Note that the expressions of the above U-D (up-down), L-R (left-right), and F-B (front-back) orthogonal coordinates are set for convenience and do not limit the usage form of the reel to this direction.

[0018] In the reel 1 of the present embodiment, the long object 200 will be described by taking, as an example, the case where it is a hose for delivering gas, water, or the like. Note that the reel of the present disclosure is not limited to a hose and may be a reel for winding and storing other long objects such as an electric cord and a wire. Note that 0 is appropriately omitted from the illustration.

[0019] The reel 1 of the present embodiment has a structure assumed to be fixed to an attachment object such as a wall surface 300 and used. Here, the attachment object may be not only the wall surface of a building but also the outer surface (wall surface) of a machine tool, the side surface (wall surface) of a shelf, a locker, or the like, and hereinafter, these will also be simply referred to as "wall surface" or "wall surface or the like".

[0020] The reel 1 of this embodiment is a reel that winds and accommodates a flexible elongated object 200. The reel 1 includes a first housing 10, a second housing 20, a drum 30, a drum plate 40, a spring presser 50, a spring 60, a joint 70, a shaft 80, a magnet 90, and a support portion 100.

[0021] The first housing 10 is disposed on the rear (back) side of the reel 1, and is formed by resin molding into a substantially flat plate shape when viewed macroscopically, constituting the back of the reel 1 that is fixed to an object to be attached, such as a wall surface 300. The first housing 10 includes a base portion 11, a hook hole 12, a screw hole 13, a magnet attachment portion 14, a support portion attachment portion 15, a rib 16, a columnar projection 17, an engagement hole 18, and a spring support portion 19. Including the first housing 10, the second housing 20, the drum 30, the drum plate 40, the spring presser 50, the joint 70, and the shaft 80, which will be described below, are all resin molded products. Note that these parts are not limited to resin molded products, and may be made of metal.

[0022] The base portion 11 is a flat plate-like portion formed approximately parallel in the vertical and horizontal directions, and when viewed from the front and rear sides, it has an approximately square shape with each side and corner being rounded and bulging.

[0023] The hanging holes 12 are through holes that open at equal positions on the left and right above the base portion 11, and open in a generally round flask shape with a circular opening connected to an elongated opening above. The hanging holes 12 are used to fasten the reel 1 to a wall surface 300 (see Figs. 3 and 4) or the like using screws, hooks, or the like that are attached in advance to the wall surface 300 or the like. The method of fastening the reel 1 using the hanging holes 12 is one of multiple selectively usable methods of fastening the reel 1 of this embodiment.

[0024] The screw hole 13 is a through hole that opens at a position symmetrical left and right above the base portion 11, and in this embodiment, it is arranged further outside left and right than the hanging holes 12. The screw hole 13 communicates with the through hole 21a of the screw receiver 21 of the second housing 20 described later. The reel 1 can be attached using a screw hole or nut or the like on a wall surface 300 or the like through which an attachment screw (not shown) passes through the screw receiver 21 of the second housing 20 described later and is screwed. Also, the attachment screw may be a tapped screw and directly attached to the wall surface 300 or the like. Furthermore, the reel 1 can be attached to an L-shaped attachment bracket or the like (not shown) using the screw hole 13, and the reel 1 can be fixed to a ceiling surface or the like via this attachment bracket or the like. The method of fixing the reel 1 using this screw hole 13 is one of the fixing methods of the reel 1 in this embodiment that can be selectively used in multiple ways.

[0025] The magnet attachment portion 14 is a portion to which a magnet 90 described later is attached, and has a screw hole 14a into which a magnet attachment screw 91 is screwed.

[0026] The support portion attachment portion 15 is a portion to which a support portion 100 described later is attached. The support portion attachment portion 15 has a circular shape that is slightly larger than the outer diameter shape of the support portion 100 described later when viewed from the rear side, and is configured as a flat surface recessed forward from the rear surface of the first housing 10.

[0027] The rib 16 is a rib that reinforces the first housing 10, and protrudes rearward from the rear surface of the base portion 11 and is arranged in an annular shape and a radial shape.

[0028] The columnar protrusion 17 is located at a position where it can be seen through the opening 23 of the second housing 20 described later below the base portion 11, and is arranged at a position closer to the left side (L side) of the opening 23. The columnar protrusion 17 is a substantially columnar protrusion that protrudes forward from the base portion 11.

[0029] The engagement holes 18 are provided at a plurality of locations around the base portion 11, and have an engagement shape (hole shape) for engaging with the engagement convex portions 25 of the second housing 20 described later.

[0030] The mainspring support portion 19 protrudes forward in a substantially cylindrical shape from the center of the base portion 11. A groove 19a is provided on the cylindrical wall surface of the mainspring support portion 19, and the center-side end portion of the mainspring 60 described later is engaged with this groove 19a. Further, at the base (rear end) of the outer periphery of the cylindrical wall surface of the mainspring support portion 19, a drum 30 described later is rotatably fitted.

[0031] The second housing 20 includes a screw receiver 21, a shaft support portion 22, an opening 23, and a slit 24. The first housing 10 and the second housing 20 constitute a housing that is arranged to cover a drum 30 described later. In this embodiment, the housing that covers the drum 30 is constituted by two parts, the first housing 10 and the second housing 20, but the housing may be constituted by three or more parts, or may be one part.

[0032] The screw receiver 21 is provided at a position corresponding to the screw hole 13, that is, at a position that is equally spaced left and right above the second housing 20. The screw receiver 21 is configured in a substantially cylindrical shape that protrudes from the rear surface side of the second housing 20, and has a through hole 21a, a cylindrical wall portion 21b, and a front screw head relief portion 21c. On the rear surface side of the second housing 20, the screw receiver 21 protrudes and extends to a position where the cylindrical wall portion 21b and the through hole 21a that penetrates the inside of the cylindrical wall portion 21b contact the front surface of the base portion 11 of the first housing 10. Further, on the front surface side of the second housing 20, the screw receiver 21 is provided with a front screw head relief portion 21c having an inner diameter that is one size larger than that of the through hole 21a, and the front end side of the cylindrical wall portion 21b is a flat surface that is recessed from the front surface of the second housing 20. When fixing the reel 1 by passing a screw (not shown) through the screw hole 13, the screw head fits into the front screw head relief portion 21c and the screw head is not exposed from the front surface of the second housing 20.

[0033] The shaft support portion 22 is a through hole that supports the front end side of a shaft 80 described later. The shaft support portion 22 of the present embodiment is a through hole having a regular hexagonal shape when viewed from the front side, and the hexagonal shape of the fitting convex portion 81 on the front end side of the shaft 80 fits therein.

[0034] The opening 23 is an opening through which the long object 200 wound around the drum 30, which will be described later, is drawn out. In the present embodiment, the opening 23 is provided on the lower surface side of the second housing 20. The width of the opening 23 in the front - rear direction of the opening is configured to be wider on the left - end side of the opening 23 than on the right - hand side of the opening 23. The opening 23 is provided with a first engaging portion 23a and a second engaging portion 23b.

[0035] The first engaging portion 23a is at the right end of the opening 23 and has a substantially U - shaped opening shape that is open to the left. The width of the open side (left side) of the first engaging portion 23a is formed to be equal to or slightly narrower than the outer - diameter dimension of the long object 200. Also, the width of the bottom side (right side) of the substantially U - shaped first engaging portion 23a is equal to or slightly wider than the outer - diameter dimension of the long object 200 and is formed wider than the width of the open side (left side). Therefore, the first engaging portion 23a can engage and hold the long object 200. Also, the first engaging portion 23a has the effect of suppressing and holding the movement of the long object 200 due to the frictional resistance between the long object 200 and the housing 20.

[0036] The second engaging portion 23b is at the right end of the portion where the width of the opening 23 in the front - rear direction is wide and has a substantially U - shaped opening shape that is open to the left. Therefore, the position of the second engaging portion 23b is shifted and separated to the left of the first engaging portion 23a, that is, in a direction orthogonal to the direction along the rotation center O of the drum 3 when viewed from the direction in which the opening 23 opens (downward). Also, it is in a position shifted and separated to the front side of the first engaging portion 23a, that is, in a direction orthogonal to the direction along the rotation center O of the drum 3 when viewed from the direction in which the opening 23 opens (downward). The width of the open side (left side) of the second engaging portion 23b is formed to be equal to or slightly narrower than the outer - diameter dimension of the long object 200. Also, the width of the bottom side (right side) of the substantially U - shaped second engaging portion 23b is equal to or slightly wider than the outer - diameter dimension of the long object 200 and is formed wider than the width of the open side (left side). Therefore, the second engaging portion 23b can engage and hold the long object 200. Also, the second engaging portion 23b has the effect of suppressing and holding the movement of the long object 200 due to the frictional resistance between the long object 200 and the housing 20.

[0037] Furthermore, a third engaging portion 23c is provided in the opening 23. The third engaging portion 23c is located at the left end and the rear end side of the opening 23, and by sandwiching the long object 200 between the columnar protrusion 17 protruding from the first housing 10, the long object 200 can be engaged and fastened.

[0038] In FIG. 3, the long object 200 is shown in cross section at the respective positions of the first engaging portion 23a, the second engaging portion 23b, and the third engaging portion 23c. This is shown at three locations for ease of understanding, but in reality, the long object 200 is fastened at any one of these three positions.

[0039] When the long object 200 pulled out through the opening 23 is released from the restraint force when the user releases their hand or the like, it is wound around the drum 30 by the action of the spring 60 described later and drawn into the first housing 10 and the second housing 20. However, by providing the above-described first engaging portion 23a, second engaging portion 23b, and third engaging portion 23c, the state in which the long object 200 is pulled out by a desired length can be maintained. In particular, in the reel 1 of the present embodiment, since the engaging portions are provided at a plurality of different positions described above, the convenience can be improved. Also, the reason for making the width in the front-rear direction wider on the left end side of the opening 23 than on the right side is for providing the second engaging portion 23b and for facilitating the operation of hooking the long object 200 to the third engaging portion 23c. Also, by forming the width in the front-rear direction of the right opening 23 to be narrow, the position of the pulled-out long object 200 can be guided.

[0040] The slits 24 are provided in plurality at positions corresponding to the engagement holes 18 on the outer peripheral wall surface of the second housing 20. On the inner peripheral surface of the second housing 20, engagement protrusions 25 (see FIG. 4) are provided so as to protrude inward of the second housing 20 adjacent to the slits 24. The slits 24 are shaped such that a mold for forming the engagement protrusions 25 is inserted. The second housing 20 is attached to the first housing 10 by the engagement between the engagement protrusions 25 and the engagement holes 18. Further, by expanding the second housing 20 outward in the vicinity of the slits 24, the engagement between the two can be easily released, and the second housing 20 can be easily removed. When the usage method is inappropriate or the like, there is a possibility that a situation may occur in which the long object 200 gets entangled inside the second housing 20. Even in such a case, since the second housing 20 is detachable from the first housing 10 and both attachment and detachment are easy, the maintainability is good.

[0041] The drum 30 is rotatably arranged, and the long object 200 is wound around it. More specifically, the rear end 34 of the drum 30 is rotatably fitted to the base (rear end) side of the outer periphery of the cylindrical wall surface of the spring support portion 19. The direction of the rotation center O of the drum 30 is the same as the axis in the front-rear direction in each figure. The drum 30 has a cylindrical portion 31 having a cavity opened on the front side, and a flange portion 32 extending in a substantially disk shape in the circumferential direction at the rear end of the cylindrical portion 31. The long object 200 is wound around the outer peripheral side of the cylindrical portion 31. An insertion hole 33 is opened in the cylindrical portion 31, and one end side of the long object 200 wound around the cylindrical portion 31 is inserted into the inside of the cylindrical portion 31 through this insertion hole 33, and one end side of the long object 200 is connected to the connection portion 72 of the joint 70 described later.

[0042] The drum plate 40 is attached to the front end side of the drum 30 and is rotatable together with the drum 30. The drum plate 40 is provided with an opening 41 corresponding to the internal cavity of the cylindrical portion 31 of the drum 30 at the center, and a flange portion 42 extends in a flange shape around this opening. The long object 200 is accommodated between the flange portion 32 of the drum 30 and the flange portion 42 of the drum plate 40.

[0043] The spring retainer 50 is a substantially plate-shaped member disposed at the front end position of the spring support portion 19. After the spring 60 is attached, both ends of the spring retainer 50 are fixed to the cylindrical portion 31 and rotate together with the drum 30. Further, at the center of the spring retainer 50, an engagement hole 51 is provided for the engagement protrusion 71 of the joint 70 to engage so that the joint 70 can rotate as the spring retainer 50 rotates.

[0044] The spring 60 is formed by spirally winding an elastic strip-shaped metal plate and is disposed between the rear end 34 of the drum and the spring retainer 50. The central-side end of the spring 60 engages with the groove 19a of the spring support portion 19. Further, the outer-side end of the spring 60 engages with an engagement portion (not shown) provided on the cylindrical portion 31 of the drum 30. With this configuration, when the long object 200 is pulled out from the drum 30, the elastic force of the spring 60 increases the biasing force that biases the drum 30 in the direction in which the long object 200 is wound back, that is, the elastic force is charged. If the movement of the long object 200 is not restricted, it is automatically wound around the drum 30.

[0045] The joint 70 is configured in a substantially cylindrical shape with an open front end side and a closed rear end side, and is a void when the shaft 80 is not inserted inside. At the rear end of the joint 70, an engagement protrusion 71 protrudes rearward. The engagement protrusion 71 engages with the engagement hole 51 of the spring retainer 50, and the joint 70 can rotate integrally with the spring retainer 50 and the drum 30. Further, on the cylindrical surface of the joint 70, a connection portion 72 protruding outward from the cylindrical surface is provided. The connection portion 72 is formed in a substantially cylindrical shape, and the internal void of the connection portion 72 communicates with the void inside the cylindrical shape of the joint 70. The end portion of the long object 200 inserted into the inside of the cylindrical portion 31 through the insertion hole 33 is connected to the connection portion 72.

[0046] The shaft 80 is configured in a substantially cylindrical shape with an open front end and a closed rear end, and the interior is a void. The front end portion of the shaft 80 is provided with a fitting convex portion 81 protruding in a hexagonal shape that fits into the hexagonal shape of the shaft support portion 22. Since the shaft support portion 22 and the fitting convex portion 81 are fitted together, the rotation of the shaft 80 is restricted and it does not rotate with respect to the second housing 20. Further, a female screw portion 82 is provided on the inner surface of the front end side of the void inside the shaft 80. By connecting a piping connector or the like using this female screw portion 82, a supply hose for compressed air from the outside can be connected. Near the approximate center in the front-rear direction of the shaft 80, the outer diameter is configured to be smaller than that of the front and rear, and a through hole 83 is provided to penetrate in a direction orthogonal to the extending direction (front-rear direction) of the shaft 80 at this portion where the outer diameter is thin.

[0047] Also, O-rings 84 are arranged at each of the thick outer diameter portions provided before and after the portion where the outer diameter of the shaft 80 is thin, ensuring airtightness. With these configurations, the compressed air supplied from a supply hose for compressed air from the outside connected to the female screw portion 82 reaches the connection portion 72 through the through hole 83 and is supplied into the long object 200 connected to the connection portion 72. Further, since the shaft 80 is fixed, the supply hose for compressed air from the outside connected to the female screw portion 82 does not get twisted. Furthermore, although the joint 70 rotates with the rotation of the drum 30, the air supply path can continue to be in a state where air can be supplied even when the joint 70 rotates.

[0048] The magnet 90 is fixed by a magnet mounting screw 91 to the rear surface of the second housing 20 that intersects the rotation center O of the drum 30. In the present embodiment, the magnet 90 uses a neodymium magnet with a diameter of 20 mm and a thickness of 4 mm. However, other types of magnets such as ferrite magnets may be used as long as a magnetic force capable of fixing the reel 1 to a metal wall surface 300 or the like is obtained. Also, the diameter of the magnet 90 is preferably 16 mm or more and 25 mm or less, and the thickness is preferably 4 mm or more and 6 mm or less. The position of the surface on the rear side of the magnet 90 is on the rear side of the position that most protrudes rearward among the rear surfaces of the second housing 20. Therefore, in a state where the support portion 100 is not provided, when attached to a flat mounting surface (such as the wall surface 300), the surface (rear surface) of the magnet 90 contacts the mounting surface.

[0049] A plurality of support portions 100 are provided so as to protrude rearward from the magnet 90 and the second housing 20 in the direction (front-rear direction) along the rotation center O of the drum 30. Therefore, when attached to a flat mounting surface (such as the wall surface 300), the surface (rear surface) of the magnet 90 does not contact the mounting surface (such as the wall surface 300), and the support portion 100 contacts the mounting surface (such as the wall surface 300). In the present embodiment, the protruding amount H (see FIG. 3) by which the surface (rear surface) of the support portion 100 protrudes from the surface (rear surface) of the magnet 90 is set to 0.5 mm. In the present embodiment, by setting the protruding amount H to 0.5 mm, even when the second housing 20 is bent by the magnetic force of the magnet 90 or warped by shrinkage after molding or other external forces, only the support portion 100 contacts the mounting surface (such as the wall surface 300), and the magnet 90 can be in a non-contact state. Note that this protruding amount H can be appropriately changed according to the magnetic force of the magnet 90, the rigidity of the second housing 20, the relative positional relationship between the magnet 90 and the support portion 100, and the like.

[0050] Further, it is desirable that the support portion 100 be made of an elastic body. In this embodiment, the support portion 100 is a disk-shaped support portion 100 with a diameter of 13 mm and a thickness of 4 mm made of polyurethane rubber (for example, hardness: Shore A70), which is fixed to the second housing 20 with an adhesive. Note that the support portion 100 is not limited to the above-mentioned polyurethane rubber, and for example, rubber with excellent anti-slip properties such as silicone rubber (for example, hardness: around Shore A70) may be used. Also, the diameter of the support portion 100 depends on the magnetic force of the magnet 90 and the thickness of the support portion 100, but for example, it is desirable to be 10 mm or more and 14 mm or less. Further, the thickness of the support portion 100 is desirably 3.5 mm or more and 6.0 mm or less. By making the support portion 100 an elastic body, when the support portion 100 contacts the mounting surface (such as the wall surface 300), the support portion 100 is slightly elastically deformed, and an effect is obtained that all of the plurality of support portions 100 can appropriately contact the mounting surface (such as the wall surface 300). Also, the surface of the support portion 100 may be roughened or the like to increase the friction coefficient. This is to enhance the effect of preventing the reel 1 from moving due to the pulling force of the long object 200 described later.

[0051] As described above, in the reel 1 of this embodiment, only the support portion 100 contacts the mounting surface (such as the wall surface 300) and the magnet 90 does not contact, so that appropriate fixing to the mounting surface (such as the wall surface 300) can be realized with a small number (two in this embodiment) of magnets 90. More specifically, the reel 1 of this embodiment can maintain its fixed position even when the long object 200 is pulled out during use, and can be easily removed when the reel 1 needs to be removed.

[0052] As described above, since the reel 1 of this embodiment is provided with engaging portions capable of engaging the long object 200 at different positions in a plurality of locations, it is easy to use and can improve convenience. Also, the reel 1 of this embodiment can be easily changed in the installation location using the magnet 90. At that time, since a plurality of engaging portions for securing the long object 200 are provided, a more appropriate engaging portion can be freely selected from among the first engaging portion 23a, the second engaging portion 23b, and the third engaging portion 23c according to the installation location, which is easy to use and can improve convenience.

[0053] (Variant form) Without being limited to the embodiments described above, various modifications and changes are possible, and these are also within the scope of the present disclosure.

[0054] For example, in the embodiment, an example in which three engaging portions, namely, the first engaging portion 23a, the second engaging portion 23b, and the third engaging portion 23c, are provided has been described. However, it is not limited to this. For example, the third engaging portion 23c may be omitted, or four or more engaging portions may be provided.

[0055] In addition, each embodiment and variant form can be used in appropriate combination, but detailed description thereof is omitted. Further, the present disclosure is not limited by each of the embodiments described above.
