Abstract
Description
[Technical field]
[0001] The present invention relates to a soundproof box for engine-driven working machines such as compressors and generators that have an engine as a driving source, and more specifically, to a soundproof box for engine-driven working machines that is characterized by the structure of the cooling air inlet flow path provided in the soundproof box. [Background technology]
[0002] Engine-driven working machines, such as compressors and generators that have an engine as a driving source, are usually configured as packaged soundproof working machines, with the engine, the working machine body, and other components housed in a soundproof box to prevent noise from escaping outside the machine during operation and to make transportation and installation easier.
[0003] An example of the construction of a soundproof box 310 for such an engine-driven working machine 300 is shown in FIGS.
[0004] The soundproof box 310 shown in Figures 7 and 8 is composed of a base 320 that is rectangular in plan view on which the components of the engine-driven work machine 300, such as the engine 351 and the work machine body (the generator body in the illustrated example) 352, are placed, and a soundproof case 330 that covers the base 320 when the components are placed on it.
[0005] The space within this soundproof case 330 is divided into two chambers, one at the front and one at the rear in the longitudinal direction of the soundproof box 310, by a partition wall 312 erected vertically on the base 320. One of these chambers is an engine chamber 330a which houses an engine 351 and the work machine main body (generator main body) 352, while the other chamber is an exhaust chamber 330b which communicates with the outside of the machine via an exhaust port 335 provided in the top panel 334.
[0006] The engine compartment 330a and the exhaust chamber 330b are connected through a communication port (not shown) provided in the central part of the partition wall 312, and a heat exchanger 354 such as a radiator for the engine 351 or, if the engine 351 is equipped with a turbocharger, an intercooler for the turbocharger is arranged facing this communication port, and a cooling fan 355 is provided to introduce cooling air into the heat exchanger 354, so that the cooling air that has exchanged heat with the heat exchanger 354 is introduced into the exhaust chamber 330b, and the cooling air introduced into the exhaust chamber 330b can be discharged outside the aircraft through the exhaust port 335 provided in the top panel 334.
[0007] In this way, when the cooling fan 355 is rotated to generate a flow of cooling air from the engine compartment 330a toward the exhaust compartment 330b, negative pressure is created inside the engine compartment 330a, and outside air is introduced into the engine compartment 330a from outside the aircraft as cooling air.
[0008] Such introduction of cooling air from outside the machine is generally performed via an air intake 327 provided on the side wall of a soundproof case 330 as shown in FIGS.
[0009] In this case, if an air intake 327 is simply provided on the side wall of the soundproof case 330, noise generated by the engine 351, the work machine body 352, etc. will leak directly outside the machine through the air intake 327.
[0010] Furthermore, when outside air is introduced into the engine compartment 330a through the air intake 327 provided on the side wall of the soundproof case 330 in this manner, if the engine-driven work machine 300 is used outdoors in rainy weather, rainwater may enter the engine compartment 330a along with the outside air through the air intake 327 and wet the component equipment.
[0011] In particular, in a configuration in which an oil tank is provided on the base 320 of the soundproof box 310 to function as an oil barrier in order to prevent fuel, lubricating oil, etc. leaking from equipment such as the engine 351, the work machine body 352, or the fuel tank (not shown) from leaking outside the machine, if rainwater that seeps in through the air intake 327 accumulates in the oil tank provided on the base 320, the accumulated rainwater will mix with the leaked oil in the oil tank and become contaminated, making it impossible to treat it as wastewater, which will result in disposal costs being incurred to dispose of the accumulated rainwater.
[0012] Furthermore, if rainwater accumulates in an oil storage tank, in the event of a leak of fuel, lubricating oil, etc., the tank will not have the capacity to accommodate the leaked oil, and the leaked oil may overflow from the tank and pollute the surrounding environment.
[0013] Therefore, when providing an air intake on the side wall of the soundproof case 330, it is necessary to provide a duct 360 inside the air intake 327 as shown in Figure 8 (B) to prevent noise from leaking outside the aircraft, and also to take measures to prevent rainwater from entering the engine compartment 330a through the air intake 327.
[0014] In this way, in a configuration in which air intake 327 is provided on the side wall of soundproof case 330, it is necessary to provide duct 360 inside air intake 327. Therefore, if it is not possible to secure space for providing duct 360 inside air intake 327 due to the constraints of the external shape and internal space of soundproof box 310, it is not possible to adopt a configuration in which air intake 327 is provided on the side wall of soundproof case 330.
[0015] For this reason, instead of a configuration in which an air intake is provided on the side wall of the soundproof case, a soundproof box for engine-driven work machines has been proposed in which a cooling air intake passage is formed in the base.
[0016] As a base for such a soundproof box, Patent Document 1, cited below, discloses a base 470 shown in FIG.
[0017] This base 470 is composed of a bed 480 on which the engine and the work machine body are placed, and a wheeled oil guard 490 on which the bed 480 is placed, and ducts 494, 494 are formed in the oil guard 490 between outer walls 491, 491 in the longitudinal direction of the oil guard 490 and side walls 493, 493 of an oil storage tank 492 arranged parallel to the outer walls 491, 491, and the ducts 494, 494 are connected to the outside of the machine via air intakes 495 provided in the outer walls 491, 491 of the oil guard 490.
[0018] These ducts 494, 494 are separated by partition plates 496 provided in front of and behind the position of each wheel, but these partition plates 496 are formed lower than the outer wall 491 of the oil guard 490 and the side wall 493 of the oil storage tank 492, so that the ducts 494, 494 are connected to the space 497 above the wheels.
[0019] The bed 480, which is placed on the oil guard 490, has bag-shaped passages 481, 481 surrounded by walls on the top, bottom, front, back, left and right sides in the portion placed on the duct 494, and the bag-shaped passage 481 is connected to the duct 494 directly or through the space 497 above the wheel via an opening 482 formed in the bottom wall of the bag-shaped passage 481, and the bag-shaped passage 481 is connected to the space inside the soundproof case via an opening 483 provided in the side wall of the bag-shaped passage 481.
[0020] This forms an intake passage for cooling air within base 470, running from intake port 495 through duct 494, space 497 above the wheels, opening 482 in bed 480, bag-shaped passage 481, and opening 483 to the space within the soundproof case (not shown). [0021] [Patent Document 1] JP 2012-219704 A Summary of the Invention [Problem to be solved by the invention]
[0022] In the cooling air intake passage described in the above-mentioned Patent Document 1, a complex-shaped cooling air intake passage is formed from the air intake 495 provided in the outer wall 491 of the oil guard 490 to the opening 483 provided in the bed 480, thereby making it possible to prevent noise generated inside the soundproof box from leaking directly outside the machine through the air intake 495.
[0023] In addition, since the outside air flows through the base 470 from the lower side to the upper side via a bent flow path and reaches the opening 483 provided in the bed 480, even if rainwater passes through the intake port 495 together with the cooling air, this rainwater drops off from the cooling air and is drained before reaching the opening 483, thereby effectively preventing the rainwater from entering the soundproof case.
[0024] However, in the base 470 of the soundproof box described in Patent Document 1 cited above, in order to form the above-mentioned complex shaped intake passage, in addition to the longitudinal outer wall 491, a side wall 493 of an oil storage tank 492 is separately provided on the oil guard 490 to form a duct 494, and this duct 494 is divided at multiple points by partition plates 496.Furthermore, a complex structure is adopted in which a bag-shaped passage 481 is formed at the upper position of the duct 494 on the bed 480 side.
[0025] Therefore, the configuration described in Patent Document 1 requires many parts to be attached by welding or other work to form an inlet flow path for cooling air, resulting in a complex structure and a large number of labor-hours, resulting in high manufacturing costs.
[0026] In addition, after the soundproof box is assembled, the duct 494 and the space above the wheels 497 are covered by the bottom plate of the bed 480, and the bed 480 also has a bag-shaped flow passage 481, making it difficult to access the cooling air intake passage from the outside.
[0027] Therefore, dust sucked in along with the cooling air accumulates in the duct 494 and the bag-shaped flow passage 481, and if sucked-in foreign matter such as dirt gets stuck in the duct 494 or the bag-shaped flow passage 481, it is extremely difficult to remove them, making maintenance difficult.
[0028] Therefore, the present invention has been made to eliminate the drawbacks of the above-mentioned conventional technology, and has as its first object to provide a soundproof box for an engine-driven working machine which has a relatively simple structure yet has a cooling air inlet flow path capable of introducing a sufficient volume of cooling air into the base without compromising the soundproofing and waterproofing properties of the soundproof box.
[0029] A second object of the present invention is to provide a soundproof box for an engine-driven working machine in which the cooling air inlet passage of the above-mentioned configuration can be installed on a base having the function of an oil barrier and an oil storage tank, without impairing the function of the oil storage tank.
[0030] Furthermore, a third object of the present invention is to provide a soundproof box for an engine-driven working machine that is easy to maintain and can be easily removed even if dust or other foreign matter accumulates in the cooling air inlet flow path or foreign matter is sucked in. [Means for solving the problem]
[0031] The means for solving the problems are described below together with the reference numerals used in the description of the embodiment of the invention. The reference numerals are used to clarify the correspondence between the description of the claims and the description of the embodiment of the invention, and needless to say, are not used to restrict the interpretation of the technical scope of the present invention.
[0032] In order to achieve the first object, the soundproof box 10 of the engine-driven working machine 1 of the present invention is A soundproof box 10 for an engine-driven working machine 1 includes a base 20 with an open top on which an engine 51 and a working machine body 52 driven by the engine 51 are mounted, and a soundproof case 30 that covers the base 20, and the space inside the soundproof case 30 is divided into two chambers by a partition wall 12 that is erected vertically, one chamber being an engine chamber 30a in which the engine 51 and the working machine body 52 are housed, and the other chamber being an exhaust chamber 30b into which cooling air is introduced from the engine chamber 30a via a communication port 13 provided in the partition wall 12 and which is exhausted outside the machine via an exhaust port 35. The upper opening of the base 20 is covered with a component mounting plate 14 at a position where the air exhaust chamber 30b is disposed, and the component mounting plate 14 forms the bottom surface of the air exhaust chamber 30b. The inside of the base 20 is divided into upper and lower parts by a floor plate 22 at a predetermined position in the height direction, and the upper side of the base 20 including the floor plate 22 is formed as an upper stage portion 20a, and the part of the base 20 below the floor plate 22 is formed as a lower stage portion 20b, A partition wall 24 that divides the space 23 in the upper stage portion 20a in the longitudinal direction is provided below the engine room 30a, and the space in the upper stage portion 20a that is closer to the exhaust air chamber 30b than the partition wall 24 is defined as one space 23a. Between the partition wall 12 and the bulkhead 24, a cooling air inlet 15 is provided to communicate the engine room 30a with the one space 23a, a through hole 25 is provided at the bottom of the one space 23a below the air exhaust chamber 30b, the through hole 25 communicating the one space 23a with a space in the lower stage 20b; A side wall (211b, 212b, 213b, 214b) of the lower section 20b is provided with an intake port 27 for cooling air that connects the space within the lower section 20b with the outside of the machine (claim 1; see Figs. 1 to 6).
[0033] It is preferable that the cooling air intake 27 is provided in any part of the side wall (211b, 212b, 213b, 214b) of the lower portion 20b that is located below the engine compartment 30a.
[0034] The upper stage 20a and the lower stage 20b of the base 20 may be formed as a single unit, or the upper stage 20a and the lower stage 20b may be formed as separate members, and the base 20 may be formed by placing the upper stage 20a on the lower stage 20b (Claim 2).
[0035] Of the side walls of the lower portion 20b, the longitudinal side walls (211b, 212b) may be provided with the intake port 27 which is also used as a fork insertion port for a forklift (claim 3).
[0036] Furthermore, the inlet 15 may be covered with a mesh cover 16 (claim 4; see Figs. 1 and 2).
[0037] In addition, in order to achieve the second objective described above, the soundproof box 10 of the engine-driven working machine 1 of the present invention is further characterized in that the other space 23b of the space 23 in the upper portion 20a divided by the partition 24 is formed as a liquid-tight chamber, serving as an oil tank for storing leaked oil (Claim 5).
[0038] Furthermore, in order to achieve the third objective mentioned above, the soundproof box 10 of the engine-driven working machine 1 of the present invention is further characterized in that an inspection hatch 28 is provided in the portion of the side walls 211, 212, 213, 214 of the base 20 that forms the one space 23a (in the illustrated example, one of the widthwise side walls 213 on the exhaust chamber 30b side), and a cover 29 is provided to cover the inspection hatch 28 (Claim 6; see Figure 2). Effect of the Invention
[0039] With the configuration of the present invention described above, the soundproof box 10 of the engine-driven working machine 1 of the present invention can provide the following significant effects.
[0040] The base 20 of the soundproof box 10 is divided into an upper section 20a and a lower section 20b by a floor plate 22 at a predetermined position in the height direction, and a partition wall 24 is provided to longitudinally divide the space 23 in the upper section. Of the spaces 23 divided by the partition wall 24, the space located on the exhaust chamber 30b side of the partition wall 24 is defined as one space 23a. A cooling air passage 12 and a cooling air passage 24 are provided between the partition wall 12 and the partition wall 24 to connect the engine room 30a and the one space 23a. By providing an inlet 15, providing a through hole 25 at the bottom of one of the spaces 23a located below the exhaust chamber 30b to connect the one of the spaces 23a to the space within the lower section 20b, and providing an air intake 27 for cooling air in the side wall (211b, 212b, 214b) of the lower section 20b to connect the space within the lower section 20b to the outside of the machine, it has become possible to form an inlet flow path for cooling air from the air intake 27 to the inlet 15 within the base 20.
[0041] As a result, when a flow of cooling air is generated from the engine compartment 30a toward the exhaust compartment 30b by the blower 55 installed in the soundproof box 10, creating negative pressure inside the engine compartment 30a, the air outside the machine introduced through the intake port 27 can be introduced into the engine compartment 30a through the internal space of the lower section 20b, the through hole 25, one space 23a of the upper section 20a, and the inlet port 15 provided in the component mounting plate 14.
[0042] This cooling air inlet flow path is formed in a serpentine shape within the base 20, as shown in Figures 3 and 6, so that noise generated within the soundproof box 10 does not leak directly outside the machine through the air intake 27, and a cooling air inlet flow path can be formed within the base 20 without compromising the soundproofing properties of the soundproof box 10.
[0043] In addition, the cooling air flowing through this cooling air inlet passage meanders upward within the base 20 from the bottom to the top, as shown in Figures 3 and 6. Therefore, even if rainwater travels along with the cooling air and passes through the intake port 27, the rainwater drops out of the cooling air flow and falls before reaching the inlet 15, thereby preventing the rainwater from entering the engine compartment 30a.
[0044] Furthermore, since an inlet flow path for cooling air can be formed within the base 20 in this manner, it is not necessarily necessary to provide a cooling air intake 327 on the side wall of the soundproof case 330 as in the conventional soundproof box 310 described with reference to Figures 7 and 8. Even if a cooling air intake 327 is provided on the side wall of the soundproof case 330, the intake 327 can be made smaller and fewer in number, and therefore there is no need to provide a duct 360 on the inner surface of the side wall of the soundproof case. Alternatively, the duct 360 can be made smaller and fewer in number, making it possible to reduce the size of the soundproof case and ultimately the size of the entire engine-driven working machine.
[0045] In a configuration in which the upper and lower stages 20a and 20b of the base 20 are formed as separate members and the base 20 is formed by placing the upper stage 20a on the lower stage 20b, it is possible to more easily form an introduction flow path for cooling air within the base 20.
[0046] Furthermore, in a configuration in which the air intake 27 shared with the fork insertion port of a forklift is provided on the longitudinal side walls (211b, 212b) of the side walls of the lower portion 20b, there is no need to form the air intake 27 separately from the fork insertion port, thereby reducing the number of steps during manufacturing.
[0047] In a configuration in which the inlet 15 is covered with a mesh cover 16, even if foreign matter such as dust is sucked in, the foreign matter can be captured by the mesh cover 16 before it enters the engine compartment 30a, making it possible to prevent serious malfunctions, etc., caused by the sucked in dust getting tangled in the fan of the blower 55 inside the engine compartment 30a.
[0048] In a configuration in which the other space 23b in the upper portion 20a divided by the partition 24 is formed as a liquid-tight chamber and serves as an oil tank for storing leaked oil, the oil tank 23b can be easily provided within the base 20, and no processing such as drilling is required in the wall surface of the oil tank 23b portion. Therefore, a flow path for introducing cooling air can be relatively easily formed within the base 20 without compromising the liquid-tightness of the oil tank 23b.
[0049] Furthermore, in a configuration in which an inspection hatch 28 is provided in the portion of the side walls 211, 212, 213, 214 of the base 20 that forms the one space 23a (in the illustrated example, the one side wall 213 on the exhaust chamber 30b side), and a cover 29 is provided to cover the inspection hatch 28, the inlet flow path of the cooling air can be easily accessed by simply removing the cover 29 without removing the soundproof case 30 or the component mounting plate 14.Even if dust accumulates in the inlet flow path of the cooling air or foreign matter such as garbage is sucked in, these can be easily removed, greatly improving maintainability. DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS
[0051] The soundproof box for an engine-driven working machine according to the present invention will be described below with reference to the accompanying drawings.
[0052] Reference numeral 1 in Figs. 1 and 2 denotes an engine-driven working machine equipped with a soundproof box 10 of the present invention.
[0053] This engine-driven work machine 1 is packaged by housing the components of the engine-driven work machine 1, such as the engine 51, the work machine body (the compressor body in the illustrated example), and the receiver tank 53, inside a soundproof box 10.This prevents noise generated within the soundproof box 10 from escaping and is configured to make it easy to transport and install.
[0054] The aforementioned soundproof box 10 which houses the components of the engine-driven work machine 1 is composed of a base 20 which is rectangular in plan view on which the aforementioned engine 51, work machine body 52 and other components are placed, and a soundproof case 30 which covers the base 20 when the components are placed on it.
[0055] Of these, the soundproof case 30 is a box-shaped case consisting of a front panel 31, a rear panel 32, a side panel 33, and a top panel 34, and by placing this soundproof case 30 on the base 20, a storage space is formed within the soundproof case 30 to accommodate the component equipment placed on the base 20.
[0056] In the soundproof case 30 in Figures 1 and 2, the rear panel 32, a portion of the side panel 33 on the front side of the page, and the top panel 34 are in a removed state, and when these components are attached, the overall case is formed into a rectangular box shape, as shown by the dashed lines in Figures 1 and 2.
[0057] The space within this soundproof case 30 is divided into two chambers, front and rear, in the longitudinal direction of the soundproof box 10, by a partition wall 12 erected vertically from the base 20, with an engine chamber 30a, which houses the engine 51, the work machine main body 52, etc., formed on the front panel 31 side, and an exhaust chamber 30b, which is connected to the outside of the machine via an exhaust port 35, formed on the rear panel 32 side.
[0058] The aforementioned engine compartment 30a and exhaust chamber 30b are connected via a communication port 13 (see Figures 3 and 5) provided in the central part of the partition wall 12, and the exhaust chamber 30b is connected to the outside of the aircraft via an exhaust port 35 provided in the top cover 34 as shown in Figures 1 and 2.
[0059] The aforementioned base 20, on which components such as the engine 51 and the work machine main body 52 of the engine-driven work machine 1 are placed, is formed in a rectangular shape in a plan view with all four sides surrounded by a pair of longitudinal side walls 211, 212 and a pair of widthwise side walls 213, 214, and the space within the base 20 surrounded by these side walls 211-214 is divided into two levels, upper and lower, at a predetermined position in the height direction by a floor board 22.
[0060] In this specification, of the base 20 divided into upper and lower parts by the floor plate 22, the upper level including the floor plate 22 will be described as the upper level 20a, and the portion below the floor plate 22 will be described as the lower level 20b.
[0061] Therefore, as shown in Figs. 1 and 2, One of the longitudinal side walls 211 of the base 20 has an upper side that forms one of the longitudinal side walls 211a of the upper stage 20a, and a lower side that forms one of the longitudinal side walls 211b of the lower stage 20b (see FIG. 2). The other longitudinal side wall 212 of the base 20 has an upper side that forms the other longitudinal side wall 212a of the upper stage 20a, and a lower side that forms the other longitudinal side wall 212b of the lower stage 20b (see FIG. 1). One width direction side wall 213 of the base 20 has an upper side forming one width direction side wall 213a of the upper stage 20a, and a lower side forming one width direction side wall 213b of the lower stage 20b (see FIG. 2). The other width direction side wall 214 of the base 20 has an upper side that forms the other width direction side wall 214a of the upper stage 20a, and a lower side that forms the other width direction side wall 214b of the lower stage 20b (see FIG. 1).
[0062] In this embodiment, as shown in Figures 3 and 5, the upper portion 20a excluding the widthwise side walls 213a, 214a and the lower portion 20b of a frame shape formed by combining four molded members are each formed as separate members, and the longitudinal edge portion of the floor plate 22 of the upper portion 20a is placed on the longitudinal side walls 211b, 212b of the lower portion 20b, and the two are fixed together by bolting, welding or other method to form the base 20.
[0063] In this embodiment, as shown in Figures 3 and 5, the longitudinal side walls 211a, 212a of the upper stage 20a and the longitudinal side walls 211b, 212b of the lower stage 20b are each formed from separate parts, and when the upper stage 20a is placed on the lower stage 20b, one longitudinal side wall 211 of the base 20 is formed by one longitudinal side wall 211a of the upper stage 20a and one longitudinal side wall 211b of the lower stage 20b, and the other longitudinal side wall 212 of the base 20 is formed by the other longitudinal side wall 212a of the upper stage 20a and the other longitudinal side wall 212b of the lower stage 20b.
[0064] On the other hand, the side walls 213, 214 in the width direction of the base 20 are each formed from a single template, and these templates (side walls 213, 214) are attached to the lower portion 20b before the base 20 is assembled.
[0065] When the upper portion 20a excluding the widthwise side walls 213a, 214a is placed on the lower portion 20b, the lower portions of these templates (widthwise side walls 213, 214) form the widthwise side walls 213b, 214b of the lower portion 20b, and the upper portions form the widthwise side walls 213a, 214b of the upper portion 20a.
[0066] However, the configuration of the side walls 211-214 of the base 20 is not limited to the configuration shown in Figures 3 and 5. The longitudinal side walls 211, 212 may also be formed from a single template, similar to the widthwise side walls 213, 214. The widthwise side walls 213, 214 may also be formed by combining widthwise side walls 213a, 214a of the upper stage 20a and widthwise side walls 213b, 214b of the lower stage 20b, which are formed as separate members, similar to the longitudinal side walls 211, 212.
[0067] As shown in Figures 1 to 3 and 5, the space 23 formed in the upper portion 20a is divided into two longitudinally, front to back, by a partition 24 erected on the floor board 22 below the engine compartment 30a, and the upper part of one of the spaces 23a on the exhaust chamber 30b side of this partition 24, which corresponds to the position where the exhaust chamber 30b is formed, is covered by a component mounting plate 14, and this component mounting plate 14 forms the bottom surface of the exhaust chamber 30b.
[0068] The aforementioned partition wall 12 is erected on the edge 14a of the part mounting plate 14 facing the engine compartment 30a, dividing the interior of the soundproof case 30 into the engine compartment 30a and the exhaust air chamber 30b.
[0069] Between the lower end of this partition plate 12 (the edge 14a of the part mounting plate 14 on the engine compartment 30a side) and the upper end of the bulkhead 24, the upper part of one of the spaces in the upper section 20a is opened by a cooling air inlet 15, and the engine compartment 30a is connected to one of the spaces 23a in the upper section 20a via this inlet 15.
[0070] In the embodiment shown in Figure 3, as shown in Figures 4(A) to (C), a partition 24 is formed by a vertical piece of an angle plate with an L-shaped cross section, and an inlet 15 is formed through the other piece of the angle plate extending from the upper end of the partition 24 toward the lower end of the partition plate 12 (the edge 14a of the component mounting plate 14 on the engine compartment 30a side), and the other piece of the angle plate serves as a frame 17 for attaching a mesh cover 16, which will be described later.
[0071] In the configuration described with reference to Figures 3 and 4, the aforementioned frame body 17 is described as being formed integrally with the partition 24 and protruding from the upper end of the partition 24 toward the edge 14a of the part mounting plate 14 on the engine compartment 30a side. However, although not shown, the frame body 17 may alternatively be formed integrally with the part mounting plate 14 and protruding from the edge 14a of the part mounting plate 14 on the engine compartment 30a side toward the upper end of the partition 24.
[0072] Furthermore, the aforementioned frame body 17 does not necessarily have to be provided, and as shown in Figure 5, the area between the lower end of the partition plate 12 (the edge 14a of the part mounting plate 14 on the engine compartment 30a side) and the upper end of the bulkhead 24 can be left open with nothing attached, and this entire area can be used as the aforementioned inlet 15.
[0073] It is preferable to attach a mesh cover 16 to this inlet 15 as shown in Figures 1 and 2, so that even if foreign matter such as dirt is sucked in through the cooling air inlet flow path, it cannot reach the engine compartment 30a.
[0074] The floor plate 22 provided in the upper stage 20a has a through hole 25 formed in the portion forming the bottom surface of the one of the spaces 23a, which penetrates the floor plate 22 below the position where the exhaust chamber 30b is formed, as shown in Figure 3, and this through hole 25 connects the one of the spaces 23a of the upper stage 20a to the space in the lower stage 20b.
[0075] As shown in Figs. 1 to 3, it is preferable to provide this through hole 25 at a position as far away as possible from the inlet 15, for example, at a position close to one of the widthwise side walls 213a of the upper stage portion 20a.
[0076] In the embodiment shown in Figures 1 to 3, the entire bottom of the upper stage 20a is covered with a floor plate 22, and the aforementioned through hole 25 is formed by penetrating the floor plate 22 at the bottom portion of one of the spaces 23a of the upper stage 20a. However, instead of this configuration, as shown in Figure 5, no floor plate 22 may be provided at the portion forming one of the spaces 23a of the upper stage 20a, and the entire bottom of one of the spaces 23a may be used as the through hole 25.
[0077] In this embodiment, the other space 23b of the space 23 in the upper section 20a separated by the partition wall 24 is made liquid-tight to serve as an oil storage tank, and is configured so that components of the engine-driven work machine 1 such as the engine 51 and the work machine main body 52 can be mounted on a mounting base 26 provided in this oil storage tank 23b, and fuel, lubricating oil, etc. that leaks from the engine 51 and the work machine main body 52 are stored in the oil storage tank 23b to prevent them from leaking outside the machine.
[0078] In addition, in Figure 2, the symbol 28 denotes an inspection hatch provided in one of the widthwise side walls 213 of the base 20, and this inspection hatch 28 is covered with a cover 29 when the engine-driven work machine 1 is in operation, but by removing the cover 29 during inspection, dust accumulated in one space 23a of the upper section 20a and foreign objects sucked into said portion can be removed through the inspection hatch 28 without removing the soundproof case 30 or the part mounting plate 14.
[0079] In the illustrated example, the inspection hatch 28 is provided in one of the widthwise side walls 213 of the base 20, but the inspection hatch 28 may also be provided in one of the longitudinal side walls 211, 212 of the base 20, in the portion forming the space 23a.
[0080] Furthermore, the inspection hatch 28 and cover 29 are not essential components of the soundproof box 10 of the present invention, and do not necessarily have to be provided.
[0081] An intake port 27 for cooling air is formed in any portion of the side wall of the lower portion 20b, preferably in a portion of the side wall of the lower portion 20b that is positioned below the engine compartment 30a.
[0082] In the illustrated embodiment, the air intakes 27 are provided at six locations in total, two on each of the longitudinal side walls 211b, 212b of the lower portion 20b and two on the other widthwise side wall 214b, but the location of the air intakes 27 is not limited to the illustrated example and they can be provided at any location on the side walls of the lower portion 20b.
[0083] In the illustrated embodiment, the air intake 27 provided on the longitudinal side walls 211b, 212b of the lower section 20b is formed to correspond to the width of the forks of a forklift, so that the air intake 27 can also be used as the fork insertion port of the forklift.
[0084] By configuring it in this manner, when obtaining the base 20 of the soundproof box 10 of the present invention by modifying the structure of an existing base equipped with a fork insertion port, there is no need to provide a new air intake port 27, thereby reducing the amount of labor required during manufacturing.
[0085] On the exhaust chamber 30b side of the soundproof box 10 constructed as described above, a heat exchanger 54 such as a radiator for the engine 51 is arranged facing a communication port (not shown) provided in the partition wall 12 as shown in FIG. 2, and on the engine compartment 30a side, a blower 55 having an internal cooling fan (not shown) is arranged toward the above-mentioned heat exchanger 54 through the communication port (not shown). When the blower 55 is operated to generate cooling air, the air in the engine compartment 30a passes through the heat exchanger 54 through the communication port 13 and is heat exchanged, and then is introduced into the exhaust chamber 30b, and the cooling air introduced into the exhaust chamber 30b is discharged outside the aircraft through the exhaust port 35.
[0086] When the air in the engine compartment 30a is sent to the exhaust chamber 30b side by the operation of the blower 55 in this manner, a negative pressure is created in the engine compartment 30a.
[0087] As a result, as shown by arrows in Figures 3 and 6, outside air introduced from the air intake 27 provided on the side walls 211b, 212b, 214b of the lower portion 20b of the base 20 passes through the space within the lower portion 20b of the base 20, reaches one space 23a of the upper portion 20a through the through hole 25, and is introduced into the engine compartment 30a through the cooling air inlet 15 provided in the component mounting plate 14.
[0088] That is, an intake flow path for cooling air, extending from the intake port 27 to the introduction port 15 , is formed within the base 20 .
[0089] The cooling air inlet flow passage formed within this base 20 is capable of introducing a sufficient amount of cooling air necessary for cooling the heat exchanger 54, and as a result, in the soundproof box 10 of the present invention, it is not necessarily necessary to provide an air intake 327 in the side wall of the soundproof case 330, as in the conventional soundproof box 310 described with reference to Figures 7 and 8. Even if the air intake 327 is provided in the side wall of the soundproof case, the air intake 327 can be made smaller and fewer in number, and therefore there is no need to provide a duct 360 inside the position where the air intake 327 is formed, or it is possible to reduce the size and number of ducts 360 provided inside the position where the air intake 327 is formed, making it possible to reduce the size of the soundproof case and ultimately the size of the entire engine-driven working machine.
[0090] Furthermore, since the aforementioned cooling air inlet passage formed within the base 20 is formed in a serpentine manner within the base 20, noise generated within the soundproof case 30 cannot leak directly outside the machine through the air intake 27, and the formation of the cooling air inlet passage does not impair the soundproofing properties of the soundproof box 10.
[0091] Furthermore, the cooling air flowing through this inlet passage is configured to move in a serpentine manner from bottom to top, so that even if rainwater travels along with the cooling air and passes through the intake port 27, the rainwater is separated from the cooling air before reaching the inlet port 15 and falls downward to be drained, thereby preventing the rainwater from entering the engine compartment 30a.
[0092] Furthermore, in the above configuration, an inlet for cooling air can be formed in the portion of the upper portion 20a of the base 20 where the oil tank 23b is formed without performing any drilling or other processing, so that, for example, by dividing the oil tank of an existing base having the function of an oil barrier with a partition wall 24 to create the other space (oil tank) 23b, a liquid-tight other space (oil tank) 23b can be easily obtained.
[0093] Furthermore, as described above, in the configuration in which the inspection hatch 28 is provided on one of the widthwise side walls of the upper section 20a, it is possible to easily access the cooling air inlet passage by simply removing the cover 29, and even if a malfunction occurs such as dust accumulating in the cooling air inlet passage or foreign matter being sucked in and clogging it, dust and foreign matter can be easily removed, making it easy to maintain.
[0094] In the configuration shown in Figures 1 to 6, the partition 24 that divides the space 23 within the upper portion 20a of the base 20 is located relatively close to the partition 12, and when an inlet 15 is provided in the component mounting plate 14 between the lower end of this partition 12 and the upper end of the partition 24, the inlet 15 inevitably opens near the blower 55.
[0095] With this configuration, the cooling air introduced into the engine compartment 30a can be introduced into the heat exchanger 54 in a cold state before it is heated inside the engine compartment 30a, thereby improving the cooling performance of the engine 51.
[0096] However, the configuration of the soundproof box 10 of the present invention is not limited to this, and the aforementioned partition 24 may be moved to a position away from the partition wall 12, for example, to the inside of the engine compartment 30a to a position below the components that require cooling among those arranged within the engine compartment 30a.
[0097] By configuring in this manner, it becomes possible to open the inlet 15 below the equipment that requires cooling, and instead of or in addition to introducing cooling air near the blower 55, it is possible to introduce cooling air into the engine compartment 30a below the components that require cooling, thereby cooling these devices.
