Abstract
Description
[Technical field]
[0001] The present invention relates to a wind turbine generator having a rotation axis perpendicular to the wind flow. [Background technology]
[0002] Patent Document 1 discloses a structure in which a lift blade is equipped with a spoiler, weight, and torsion spring; in normal wind conditions, the spoiler is retracted into the lift blade due to the elasticity of the torsion spring, but in strong winds, the spoiler opens against the tension of the torsion spring and the centrifugal force of the weight, disrupting the airflow on the outer surface of the lift blade, thereby reducing the lift of the blade and preventing over-rotation of the wind turbine. However, there is a problem in that the entire rotating parts of the lift blade, including the spoiler, weight, and torsion spring, are exposed to strong winds. [0003] [Patent Document 1] JP 2012-229685 A Summary of the Invention [Problem to be solved by the invention]
[0004] The present invention has been made in consideration of the above-mentioned background art, and has an object to provide a wind turbine generator that is protected from damage due to strong winds. [Means for solving the problem]
[0005] The present invention is characterized in that it comprises a support pole installed perpendicular to a wind flow, a rotating shaft attached to the support pole so as to rotate horizontally to the wind flow, a generator connected to the lower part of the rotating shaft so as to generate electricity, a windbreak fixed to the rotating shaft so as to rotate together with the rotating shaft and having an internal space surrounding the rotating shaft, an upper arm attached to the rotating shaft in the internal space so as to be movable up and down around a fulcrum, a drag blade fixed to the outer end of the upper arm, a lower arm attached to a part of the rotating shaft located between the upper arm and the generator so as to be movable up and down around a fulcrum, a lift blade fixed to the outer end of the lower upper part, a connector connecting the upper arm and the lower arm so as to be movable up and down, and an opening provided in the peripheral wall of the windbreak so as to allow the drag blade to pass between the outside of the windbreak and the internal space. Effect of the Invention
[0006] In the present invention, during normal wind force, the drag blade rotates around the support together with the rotating shaft and the windbreak, and the lift blade rotates to assist the rotation of the drag blade. During strong wind, the lift blade receives lift from the strong wind, and as the lower arm is lifted upward around the fulcrum on the rotating shaft side, the upper arm is lifted upward around the fulcrum on the rotating shaft side, and the drag blade is accommodated in the internal space from the outside of the windbreak through the opening, so that the drag blade is not exposed to the strong wind, the rotational force is reduced, and excessive rotation of the drag blade can be prevented and damage can be prevented. In addition, the lift blade rotates slightly, and appropriate rotation due to the strong wind can be obtained. Therefore, even during strong wind, the appropriate rotation can be received and power can be generated without stopping the rotation of the rotating shaft. [Brief description of the drawings]

[Diagram 3] 1 is a front view showing a wind turbine generator according to an embodiment of the present invention; DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS
[0008] The structure of a wind turbine generator according to an embodiment of the invention will be described with reference to Figures 1 to 3. As shown in Figure 1, the wind turbine generator according to an embodiment of the invention has a support pole 1, a rotating shaft 2, a generator 3, a windbreak 4, an upper arm 5, a drag blade 6, a lower arm 7, a lift blade 8, a connector 9, and an opening 10, and is structured to be adaptable to winds in all directions.
[0009] The support 1 is installed at the installation location as the device body 12 so as to be perpendicular to the air flow 11. The rotating shaft 2 is fitted onto the outside of the support 1 so as to be rotatable in a horizontal direction parallel to the air flow 11, and is supported so as to be rotatable and not to move downward, for example, by a protrusion 13 protruding outward from the support 1 at the bottom thereof or by a stop ring (not shown).
[0010] The generator 3 is connected to the lower part of the rotating shaft 2 so as to be capable of generating electricity. For example, a casing of the generator 3 is fixed to the device body 12, and a gear 15 fixed to the generator shaft 14 of the generator 3 and a gear 16 fixed to the rotating shaft 2 are rotatably connected to each other, so that as the rotating shaft 2 rotates, the generator shaft 14 of the generator 3 rotates, and the generator 3 becomes capable of generating electricity.
[0011] The windbreak 4 is rotatably placed on the upper part of the rotating shaft 2 so as to rotate together with the rotating shaft 2, and forms an internal space 17 that covers the periphery of the rotating shaft 2. Specifically, the windbreak 4 has a structure in which the lower end of the cylinder is open and the upper end of the cylinder is closed, the lower end of the cylinder is placed over the upper part of the rotating shaft 2 and mounted on an annular bearing 18 arranged on the periphery of the device main body 12, the center part of the closed upper end of the cylinder is rotatably placed over the upper part of the rotating shaft 2, and the closed upper end of the cylinder and the cylindrical peripheral wall form an internal space 17 that covers the periphery of the rotating shaft 2. It is also possible to configure the windbreak 4 to rotate together with the rotating shaft 2 by placing the center part of the closed upper end of the cylinder over the upper part of the rotating shaft 2 and fixing it.
[0012] The upper arm portion 5 is linearly extended radially outward in the diameter direction from the rotation axis 2. The inner end portion on the side of the rotation axis 2 of the upper arm portion 5 is vertically movably accommodated in an open concave portion 21 on the upper surface formed in the middle portion of the rotation axis 2 and is vertically movably attached around the fulcrum 22. By the lower surface around the fulcrum 22 of the upper arm portion 5 being received by the bottom portion 23 of the concave portion 21, the upper arm portion 5 is prevented from moving downward. A drag blade 6 is fixed to the outer end portion extending radially outward of the rotation axis 2 in the upper arm portion 5.
[0013] In a pair of drag blades 6 facing each other in the vertical direction shown in FIG. 2, the upper drag blade 6 is concave with respect to the wind flow 11 when viewed from above, and the lower drag blade 6 is convex with respect to the wind flow 11 when viewed from above. Therefore, when the wind blows from the left, the force received by the upper drag blade 6, that is, the drag, is stronger than the force received by the lower drag blade 6, that is, the drag. Due to the drag difference between the upper drag blade 6 and the lower drag blade 6, when viewed from above, it rotates in the direction of arrow A. The concave and convex shapes of the drag blade 6 are not limited to the illustrated V shape, and an arc shape like splitting bamboo, a semi-circular shape obtained by splitting a hollow sphere, or a spherical segment can also be applied. As shown in FIG. 3, if the lateral width H1 of the drag blade 6 is smaller than the height H2 of the drag blade 6 (H1 < H2) and the drag blade 6 has an elongated shape, the lateral width of the opening 10 can be made smaller than when the drag blade 6 is formed in a semi-circular shape or a spherical segment. Further, if the concave and convex shapes of the drag blade 6 are in a V shape as shown in FIG. 2 when viewed from above, when the wind blows from the left, the resistance received by the lower drag blade 6 is small, that is, the drag is small, the drag difference between the upper drag blade 6 and the lower drag blade 6 becomes large, and the drag blade 6 can rotate smoothly.
[0014] Returning to FIG. 1, the lower arm 7 is located directly below the upper arm 5 and extends linearly from the rotating shaft 2 in the radially outward direction. The inner end of the lower arm 7 on the rotating shaft 2 side is housed in a recess 24 with an open lower surface formed in a portion of the rotating shaft 2 between the drag vane 6 and the generator 3 so as to be movable up and down, and is attached so as to be movable up and down about a fulcrum 25. As the lower arm 7 rises from the position shown by the solid line to the position shown by the imaginary line around the fulcrum 25, the upper surface of the lower arm 7 around the fulcrum 25 is received by the head 26 of the recess 24, stopping the rise of the lower arm 7 and preventing the lift vane 8 from colliding with the outside of the windbreak 4. The lift vane 8 is fixed to the outer end of the lower arm 7 extending radially outward from the rotating shaft 2.
[0015] As shown in FIG. 3, the lift vanes 8 are inclined so that the upstream side of the wind flow 11 is higher and the downstream side is lower, and when they receive the wind flow 11, they generate drag and lift and rotate.
[0016] As shown in Fig. 1, the connector 9 connects the upper arms 5 to each other so that they can move up and down. Specifically, the connector 9 is disposed in the internal space 17 of the windbreak 4 so that it is less susceptible to the effects of wind flow 11 outside the windbreak 4, and the upper end of the connector 9 is rotatably connected to the upper arm 5 by an axis 27, and the lower end of the connector 9 is rotatably connected to the upper arm 5 by an axis 28, so that the upper arm 5 and the lower arm 7 can move up and down as a unit via the connector 9.
[0017] An opening 10 is provided in the peripheral wall of the windbreak 4 so as to allow the upper arm 5, drag vane 6 and lower arm 7 to pass through between the outside of the windbreak 4 and an internal space 17.
[0018] Next, the operation of a wind turbine generator according to an embodiment of the invention will be described with reference to Figures 1 and 2. In the state shown by the solid line in Figure 1, in the case of normal wind force, the drag blade 6 receives wind force from the wind flow 11 and rotates around the support 1 together with the rotating shaft 2 and the windbreak 4 in the direction of arrow A in Figure 2, and the lift blade 8 rotates in the direction of arrow A in Figure 2 to assist the rotation of the drag blade 6.
[0019] In FIG. 2, as the drag blade 6 rotates from the top position 31 to the bottom position 32, wind flows from the back of the drag blade 6 at an angle, and the drag blade 6 rotated to the bottom position 32 rotates smoothly in the direction of arrow A around the support 1.
[0020] When a strong wind blows, the lift vane 8 receives lift from the strong wind and the lower arm 7 is lifted upward from the position shown by the solid line in Figure 1 to the position shown by the imaginary line, centered on the fulcrum 25 connected to the rotating shaft 2, while the upper arm 5 is lifted upward from the position shown by the solid line in Figure 1 to the position shown by the imaginary line, centered on the fulcrum 22 connected to the rotating shaft 2, and the drag vane 6 is accommodated in the internal space 17 from the outside of the windbreak 4 through the opening 10, thereby preventing excessive rotation of the drag vane 6 and preventing damage.
[0021] 1, the lower arm 7 of the lift vane 8 is received by the head 26 of the recess 24, and the lift vane 8 stops so as not to collide with the outside of the windbreak 4. As a result, even if the drag vane 6 and the lift vane 8 rise together, the lift vane 8 stops outside the windbreak 4, and the drag vane 6 is simply housed in the internal space 17 of the windbreak 4.
[0022] Furthermore, as shown in FIG. 2, the width L1 of the drag vane 6 is smaller than the width L2 of the lift vane 8, so that the width of the opening 10 can be narrowed and the strength of the windbreak 4 is increased.
[0023] As the lift vane 8 moves upward from the position shown by the solid line in FIG. 1 to the position shown by the imaginary line, the drag vane 6 enters the windbreak 4, the rotational force of the drag vane 6 gradually weakens, and the lift vane 8 maintains appropriate rotation even in strong winds, allowing the generator 3 to continue generating electricity.
[0024] As shown in FIG. 2, four drag vanes 6 and four lift vanes 8 are provided and arranged radially at positions that divide the rotating shaft 2 into four equal parts in the circumferential direction, but five, six or more of them may be used. In FIG. 2, a part of one upper arm 5 on the right side and the drag vanes are not shown. Since a plurality of beams 29 are hung between the peripheral wall of the windbreak 4 and the rotating shaft 2 at positions that do not interfere with the vertical movement of the drag vanes 6 and the lift vanes 8, the windbreak 4 is fixed to the rotating shaft 2 so as to rotate together with the rotating shaft 2, and the strength of the windbreak 4 is increased. In addition, it is also possible to adopt either one or both of the structures in FIG. 1 in which the windbreak 4 is fixed by covering the upper part of the rotating shaft 2, and the structures in FIG. 1 and FIG. 2 in which the windbreak 4 is fixed to the rotating shaft 2 via the beams 29. By adopting a structure in which the windbreak 4 is fixed to the rotating shaft 2 via the beams 29, it is possible to improve the strength of the windbreak 4 and transmit the rotation of the rotating shaft 2 to the windbreak 4. The windbreak 4 also functions as a flywheel.
[0025] As shown in FIG. 3, the lift vanes 8 are configured to have an upward gradient from windward to leeward.
[0026] In FIG. 1 and FIG. 2, a bearing (not shown) may be provided between the support column 1 and the rotating shaft 2. [Explanation of symbols]
