Description

[Technical field]

[0001] The present invention relates to an oil-in-water emulsion composition containing behendimonium ethyl stearyl phosphate. The present invention also relates to a method for stabilizing an emulsion in the production of an oil-in-water emulsion composition using behendimonium ethyl stearyl phosphate. [Background technology]

[0002] In emulsion compositions (especially emulsion cosmetics), emulsion stability against changes over time is important, but when a surfactant with weak emulsifying power is used, the emulsion may become unstable. Therefore, many studies have been conducted to stabilize the emulsion. For example, phospholipids are natural surface active substances with good affinity to the skin and high moisturizing effect, and are used as emulsifiers, but phospholipids generally have weak emulsifying power. Therefore, it is required to improve the emulsion stability of emulsion compositions containing phospholipids. For example, Patent Document 1 discloses a technology that improves the emulsion stability of emulsion compositions containing phospholipids by supplementing emulsification by using liquid higher alcohol and glycerin in combination.

[0003] In addition, emulsion compositions (especially emulsion cosmetics) may contain liquid polar oils for the purpose of providing a suitable adhesion and good spreadability on the skin, but polar oils may affect the stability of emulsions. Therefore, many studies have been conducted on the stable blending of polar oils. For example, Patent Document 2 discloses a technique for improving emulsion stability by combining higher alcohols, polar oils, and long-chain acylsulfonate-type anionic surfactants.

[0004] However, as in the technology of Patent Document 1, cosmetics emulsified with liquid polar oil using phospholipids as an emulsifier and liquid higher alcohol and glycerin as emulsifier aids may have a significantly worsened usability due to stickiness caused by blending liquid higher alcohol and glycerin. In addition, the technology of Patent Document 2 can improve emulsion stability, but the blending amount of higher alcohol may be increased, resulting in a decrease in skin compatibility and smooth usability. Furthermore, as in these documents, when higher alcohol is combined as an emulsifier aid, the higher alcohol may precipitate from the emulsion interface into the aqueous phase, resulting in an increase in viscosity, or conversely, the higher alcohol may dissolve from the emulsion interface into the oil phase, resulting in a decrease in viscosity. Furthermore, some of the higher alcohol may form a gel with the emulsifier (e.g., phospholipid), causing thickening, which may cause problems with usability such as a smooth feel when applying the cosmetic. [0008] According to the present invention, by using behendimonium ethyl stearyl phosphate, it is possible to provide an oil-in-water emulsion composition (particularly a cosmetic preparation) that has good emulsion stability and is excellent in usability, even when a liquid polar oil is blended therein. DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS

[0009] The oil-in-water emulsion composition of the present invention comprises the following components (A) to (F): (A) one or more surfactants selected from the group consisting of nonionic surfactants having an HLB of 12.0 or more and ionic surfactants; (B) behendimonium ethyl phosphate stearyl, (C) a liquid polar oil; (D) fatty acid glyceryl, (E) a water-soluble polymer, and (F) Water; Contains: In this specification, (A) to (F) are label symbols for the components, and hereinafter may be referred to as component (A), etc.

[0010] Component (A) Component (A) is one or more surfactants selected from the group consisting of nonionic surfactants with HLB of 12.0 or more and ionic surfactants. The nonionic surfactants contained in component (A) have an HLB value of 12.0 or more and are relatively highly hydrophilic. Of course, if component (A) is contained in the present emulsion composition, the present emulsion composition may or may not further contain a nonionic surfactant with HLB of less than 12.0. The HLB value is typically an index indicating the degree of affinity between water and oil (hydrophobic oil) of a nonionic surfactant, and the higher the value, the higher the hydrophilicity. The HLB value can be determined as a value specific to each substance, or is publicly known. The HLB value (hydrophilic-lipophilic balance) indicates the molecular weight of the hydrophilic group portion in the total molecular weight of the surfactant, and is determined by the Griffin formula.

[0011] Examples of nonionic surfactants having an HLB value of 12.0 or more include, but are not limited to, fatty acid polyoxyethylene surfactants, polyoxyethylene hydrogenated castor oil, fatty acid polyglyceryl surfactants, and sucrose fatty acid esters, all of which have an HLB value of 12.0 or more. Specific examples include polyoxyethylene sorbitan monostearate (HLB 14.9), polyoxyethylene sorbitan monooleate (HLB 15.0), polyoxyethylene sorbitan monolaurate (HLB 16.7), and sesquis(trifluoroethylene). PEG-20 methyl glucose stearate (HLB 15.0), polyoxyethylene sorbitol tetraoleate (HLB 13.8), PEG-40 monostearate (HLB 17.5), PEG-30 phytosterol (HLB 18.0), polyoxyethylene hydrogenated castor oil (HLB 14.0), decaglyceryl monostearate (HLB 12.0), polyoxyethylene alkyl (12-15) ether phosphate (10 E.O.) (HLB 13.5), and sucrose stearate (HLB 15.0).

[0012] The ionic surfactant may be any of an anionic surfactant, a cationic surfactant, and an amphoteric surfactant (zwitterionic surfactant). Of these, it is preferable to use at least one selected from an anionic surfactant and an amphoteric surfactant.

[0013] Examples of anionic surfactants include, but are not limited to, sodium N-stearoyl-N-methyl taurate, sodium stearoyl lactate, sodium N-stearoyl-L-glutamate, and the like.

[0014] Examples of amphoteric surfactants include, but are not limited to, phospholipids, alkyl betaine type amphoteric surfactants such as lauryl dimethyl betaine, amidopropyl betaine type amphoteric surfactants such as oleic acid amidopropyl betaine, and amino acid type amphoteric surfactants such as sodium lauryl aminopropionate. Phospholipids are amphiphilic substances and are classified as amphoteric surfactants in this specification.

[0015] It is particularly preferable to include phospholipids as component (A). Phospholipids are also called lecithin. Phospholipids are surface active substances with good affinity to the skin and high moisturizing effect, and by using phospholipids, an emulsion composition with excellent usability and moisturizing properties can be obtained in addition to the surface active effect. Here, although phospholipids are highly compatible with the skin, they tend to have weak emulsifying power. However, in the present emulsion composition, by including component (B) in particular, an emulsion composition with excellent emulsion stability can be obtained even when phospholipids are used as an emulsifier. In this specification, phospholipids refer to compounds having a structure in which fatty acids and phosphoric acid are bonded to glycerin or sphingosine as a central skeleton, and further, alcohol is bonded to the phosphoric acid via an ether bond. The phospholipid may be either a natural phospholipid or a synthetic phospholipid, or may be a hydrogenated phospholipid obtained by hydrogenating these phospholipids. Examples of natural phospholipids include phosphatidylcholine, phosphatidylethanolamine, phosphatidylserine, phosphatidylinositol, lysophosphatidylcholine, sphingomyelin, egg yolk phospholipid, soybean phospholipid, etc. Examples of synthetic phospholipids include dilauroylphosphatidylcholine, dimyristoylphosphatidylcholine, dipalmitoylphosphatidylcholine, distearoylphosphatidylcholine, dioleoylphosphatidylcholine, palmitoyloleoylphosphatidylcholine, etc. Examples of hydrogenated phospholipids include hydrogenated soybean phospholipid, hydrogenated soybean lysophospholipid, hydrogenated egg yolk phospholipid, hydrogenated phosphatidylcholine, hydrogenated phosphatidylserine, etc., with hydrogenated soybean phospholipid being particularly preferred.

[0016] The content of component (A) in the present emulsion composition (the total amount when there are multiple components) is not limited thereto, but from the viewpoint of obtaining sufficient surface activity, it can be 0.001 to 10% by weight, preferably 0.01 to 5% by weight, and more preferably 0.1 to 1% by weight, based on the total amount (100% by weight) of the present emulsion composition. In particular, when a phospholipid is included as component (A), the content of the phospholipid is preferably within the above range in order to obtain sufficient surface activity as well as improve usability such as smoothness.

[0017] Ingredient (B) Component (B), behendimonium ethyl stearyl phosphate, is a substance represented by the following structural formula, and contains the phosphocholine structure (-N + (CH3)2(CH2)2-O-PO3 - -). [ka] The phosphocholine portion (also called the phosphocholine group) is the polar group of the phospholipid and functions as a hydrophilic group. In addition, there are alkyl groups (C 22 and C. 18(saturated alkyl) is bonded to the behendimonium ethyl phosphate, and this alkyl group functions as a hydrophobic group. Therefore, behendimonium ethyl stearyl phosphate can function as a surfactant. More specifically, behendimonium ethyl stearyl phosphate contains both a cationic portion and an anionic portion, and is therefore classified as an amphoteric surfactant (amphoteric surfactant). In addition, behendimonium ethyl stearyl phosphate has a chemical structure similar to that of phospholipids, and therefore has a high affinity with phospholipids that can be used as surfactants. Therefore, by containing behendimonium ethyl stearyl phosphate, the present emulsion composition can supplement the emulsification of surfactants (particularly phospholipids) and improve emulsion stability. In addition, behendimonium ethyl stearyl phosphate has a structure similar to that of phospholipids, and is therefore considered to have a high affinity to the skin, and when the present emulsion composition (particularly cosmetics) is applied to the skin, a good feeling of use such as smoothness and moisturizing properties can be obtained. As the behendimonium ethyl stearyl phosphate, commercially available products (for example, "Vinoveil-BS-100P" manufactured by NOF Corporation) can be used.

[0018] The content of component (B) (behendimonium ethyl stearyl phosphate) in the present emulsion composition is not limited thereto, but from the viewpoint of improving emulsion stability, it can be 0.001 to 20% by weight, preferably 0.01 to 15% by weight, more preferably 0.1 to 10% by weight, even more preferably 0.2 to 10% by weight, even more preferably 0.3 to 9% by weight, and even more preferably 0.4 to 8% by weight, based on the total amount of the present emulsion composition (100% by weight). The greater the amount of component (B), the greater the ability of component (A) to assist the surfactant, and the greater the emulsion stability of the composition. In particular, when component (B) exceeds 0.1% by weight (particularly 0.2% by weight or more, even 0.3% by weight or more, or 0.4% by weight or more), the emulsion stability is significantly improved. However, if the amount of component (B) is too large, the feeling of use may be impaired, so it is preferable to mix it at the upper limit as described above (preferably 20% by weight or less).

[0019] Ingredients (C) The liquid polar oil of component (C) can constitute the main oil in the oil-in-water emulsion composition (i.e., emulsion) of the present invention. The inclusion of the liquid polar oil makes it possible to impart an excellent feeling of use to cosmetics and the like. Specifically, the polar oil can provide a moderate sense of adhesion and good spread on the skin, and can provide a smooth feeling of use during use (application), and can provide a moderate film feeling after use while suppressing a sticky feeling and a tight feeling. In this specification, polar oil means an oil having polarity in the molecule. In addition, in this specification, the liquid in polar oil means that it is preferably liquid at a normal temperature (e.g., 10 to 30°C) when using cosmetics, and is liquid under conditions of, for example, room temperature (specifically, 25°C).

[0020] Examples of liquid polar oils include, but are not limited to, synthetic ester oils and natural ester oils, higher alcohols, and fatty acids. Among these, it is preferable that component (C) is a liquid polar oil selected from synthetic or natural fatty acids, their fatty acid esters, or higher alcohols that are in a liquid form at room temperature (specifically, 25° C.).

[0021] The synthetic ester oil is not particularly limited, but examples of synthetic fatty acid esters include esters of fatty acids and lower or higher alcohols, and monoesters, diesters, or triesters of fatty acids and polyhydric alcohols (e.g., dihydric or trihydric alcohols).

[0022] The synthetic ester oils are particularly esters of synthetic fatty acids, and specifically, include cetyl 2-ethylhexanoate, isopropyl myristate, isododecyl myristate, octyldodecyl myristate, isopropyl palmitate, 2-ethylhexyl palmitate, ethyl oleate, oleyl oleate, propylene glycol dicaprate, neopentyl glycol dicaprate, diisostearyl malate, diisobutyl adipate, glyceryl monoisostearate, glyceryl diisostearate, glyceryl triisostearate, polyglyceryl-2 monoisostearate, polyglyceryl-2 diisostearate, polyglyceryl-2 triisostearate, polyglyceryl-2 tetraisostearate, and glyceryl tri-2-ethylhexanoate. Examples of the glyceryl stearate include, but are not limited to, glyceryl trioctanoate, glyceryl tri(capryl / capric acid), neopentyl glycol di-2-ethylhexanoate, octyldodecyl lactate, pentaerythritol tetraisostearate, pentaerythritol tetra-2-ethylhexanoate (pentaerythrityl tetraethylhexanoate), tritridecyl trimellitate, bisethoxydiglycol cyclohexane-1,4-dicarboxylate, isotridecyl isononanoate, isononyl isononanoate, alkyl benzoate (C12-15), ethylhexyl methoxycinnamate, ethylhexyl salicylate, ascorbyl tetrahexyldecanoate, polyhydroxystearic acid, di(isostearyl / phytosteryl) dimer dilinoleate, and the like. In addition to the above synthetic fatty acid esters, examples include, but are not limited to, di(phytosteryl 2-octyldodecyl) N-lauroyl-L-glutamate, tocopherol acetate, dialkyl carbonate, dimer dilinoleyl hydrogenated rosin condensate, polysilicone-15, etc. Among these, diesters or triesters of fatty acids and polyhydric alcohols, such as glyceryl tri-2-ethylhexanoate (also known as triethylhexanoin), are more preferred.

[0023] Natural ester oils, particularly esters of natural fatty acids, include, but are not limited to, avocado oil, camellia oil, macadamia nut oil, corn oil, olive oil, rapeseed oil, egg yolk oil, sesame oil, persic oil, wheat germ oil, sasanqua oil, castor oil, linseed oil, safflower oil, cottonseed oil, soybean oil, peanut oil, tea seed oil, kaya oil, rice bran oil, Chinese ginger oil, jojoba oil, and germ oil, rapeseed oil, almond oil, apricot kernel oil, perilla oil, orange oil, kiwi seed oil, grape seed oil, rice germ oil, sage oil, tea seed oil, evening primrose oil, pearl barley oil, peanut oil, sunflower oil, sunflower seed oil, meadowfoam oil, rosemary oil, jojoba seed oil, lavender oil, rosehip oil, and mink oil.

[0024] Specific examples of higher alcohols include, but are not limited to, isostearyl alcohol, 2-hexyldecanol, and oleyl alcohol.

[0025] Specific examples of fatty acids include, but are not limited to, isostearic acid, isopalmitic acid, and oleic acid, among which isostearic acid is more preferred.

[0026] The content of component (C) (the total amount when there are multiple components) is not limited to this, but from the viewpoint of obtaining an emulsion composition (particularly a cosmetic preparation) that has a good feel in use (smoothness, pleasant after-skin feeling, etc.), it can be 0.001 to 50 wt % relative to the total amount (100 wt %) of the emulsion composition, preferably 0.01 to 40 wt %, more preferably 0.1 to 30 wt %, and even more preferably 1 to 20 wt %.

[0027] Ingredients (D) The fatty acid glyceryl is an ester of a fatty acid and glycerin. It is also called a glycerin fatty acid ester. The inclusion of the fatty acid glyceryl can further improve emulsion stability. Examples of the fatty acid glyceryl include, but are not limited to, glyceryl stearate, hydrogenated rapeseed oil fatty acid glycerides, and glyceryl isostearate. As the fatty acid glyceryl, in particular, one or more selected from glyceryl stearate and hydrogenated rapeseed oil fatty acid glycerides are preferred, and glyceryl stearate is more preferred. The fatty acid glyceryl of component (D) may be a polar oil, and in this case, it may be a solid polar oil or a liquid polar oil. In the case of a liquid polar oil, it also serves as component (C). In one embodiment, component (D) may be a solid.

[0028] The content of component (D) (the total amount when multiple components are present) is not limited to this, but from the viewpoint of improving emulsion stability, it can be 0.001 to 20 wt %, preferably 0.01 to 15 wt %, and more preferably 0.1 to 10 wt %, relative to the total amount of the emulsion composition (100 wt %).

[0029] Ingredient (E) It is believed that the water-soluble polymer dissolves in the aqueous phase, which is the external phase, in the present emulsion composition to form a polymer network, and further increases the viscosity, making it difficult to separate the phases, thereby improving the stability of the emulsion state of the composition. Examples of water-soluble polymers include copolymers of polyacrylic acid and alkyl methacrylate, acrylic acid-based polymers such as crosslinked polyacrylic acid, and polysaccharides, and specific examples thereof include, but are not limited to, (acrylates / alkyl acrylate (C10-30)) crosspolymers, carbomers, xanthan gum, cellulose gum, agar, gellan gum, methylcellulose, hydroxyethylcellulose, hydroxypropylmethylcellulose, sodium acrylate-sodium acryloyldimethyltaurate copolymers, polyvinyl alcohol, collagen, hyaluronic acid, acrylates copolymers, and carrageenans. As the water-soluble polymer, in particular, one or more selected from (acrylates / alkyl acrylate (C10-30)) crosspolymer, carbomer, and xanthan gum are preferred, and one or more selected from (acrylates / alkyl acrylate (C10-30)) crosspolymer and carbomer are more preferred. Incidentally, (acrylates / alkyl acrylate (C10-30)) crosspolymer includes what is called acrylic acid / alkyl methacrylate copolymer. As the (acrylates / alkyl acrylate (C10-30)) crosspolymer, commercially available products (e.g., manufactured by LUBRIZOL) can be used.

[0030] The content of component (E) (the total amount when multiple components are present) is not limited to this, but from the viewpoint of improving emulsion stability, it can be 0.0001 to 10 wt %, preferably 0.001 to 5 wt %, and more preferably 0.01 to 1 wt %, relative to the total amount of the emulsion composition (100 wt %).

[0031] Component (F) Component (F), water, is an essential component in the oil-in-water emulsion composition. Water is not limited to this, but purified water is preferably used. In this emulsion composition, the emulsion form is oil-in-water (O / W), the water phase is the outer phase, and the oil phase is the inner phase.

[0032] Component (F) may be the component with the highest content in the present emulsion composition. The content of water in component (F) in the present emulsion composition, which is an oil-in-water type, is preferably greater than the total amount of oily components, and may be at least two times or at least three times the total amount of oily components. In addition, the content of component (F) relative to the total amount of the present emulsion composition (100% by weight) is not limited thereto, but may be 1 to 99% by weight, preferably 10 to 98% by weight, more preferably 20 to 95% by weight, and even more preferably 30 to 90% by weight. In addition, depending on the form of the preparation, the content of component (F) may be 40% by weight or more, 50% by weight or more, 60% by weight or more, or 70% by weight or more.

[0033] The emulsion composition preferably further contains a higher alcohol as component (G). The higher alcohol further stabilizes the emulsion and improves the feeling of use, such as smoothness on the skin. In the present invention, it is speculated that the behendimonium ethyl stearyl phosphate of component (B) can particularly suppress the instability of the composition (such as an increase or decrease in viscosity, or gelation) caused by the movement of the higher alcohol at the emulsion interface (from the oil phase to the water phase, or from the water phase to the oil phase), but the present invention is not limited to this speculation. In this specification, the higher alcohol means a monohydric alcohol having a chain-like hydrocarbon group with 6 or more carbon atoms (specifically, 6 to 24 carbon atoms, preferably 8 to 22 carbon atoms, more preferably 10 to 20 carbon atoms). Examples of the higher alcohol include, but are not limited to, lauryl alcohol, myristyl alcohol, cetyl alcohol (cetanol), isostearyl alcohol, stearyl alcohol, behenyl alcohol, and cetostearyl alcohol. As the higher alcohol, cetostearyl alcohol is particularly preferable. The higher alcohol of component (G) may be classified as a polar oil, and may be a solid polar oil or a liquid polar oil. When component (G) is a liquid polar oil, it also serves as component (C). In one embodiment, component (G) may be a solid.

[0034] When component (G) is contained in the present emulsion composition, the content of component (G) (the total amount when there are multiple components) is not limited to this, but from the viewpoint of improving emulsion stability, it can be 0.0001 to 20 wt%, preferably 0.001 to 10 wt%, and more preferably 0.01 to 5 wt%, relative to the total amount (100 wt%) of the present emulsion composition. In one embodiment, the present emulsion composition does not need to contain component (G), in which case the content is 0 wt%.

[0035] The present emulsion composition preferably further contains a fatty acid as component (H). The fatty acid further stabilizes the emulsion and improves the feeling of use, such as smoothness on the skin. The fatty acid is preferably a higher fatty acid. In this specification, higher fatty acid means a fatty acid having 12 or more carbon atoms. The fatty acid may be a saturated fatty acid or an unsaturated fatty acid, but from the viewpoint of stability, a saturated fatty acid is preferable. Examples of fatty acids (higher fatty acids) include, but are not limited to, lauric acid, myristic acid, palmitic acid, stearic acid, and isostearic acid. As the higher fatty acid, in particular, one or more selected from stearic acid and isostearic acid are preferable. The higher fatty acid of component (H) may be classified as a polar oil, and in this case, it may be a solid polar oil or a liquid polar oil. When component (H) is a liquid polar oil, it also serves as component (C). Isostearic acid corresponds to a liquid polar oil. In one embodiment, component (H) may be a solid.

[0036] When component (H) is contained in the present emulsion composition, the content of component (H) (the total amount when there are multiple components) is not limited to this, but from the viewpoint of improving emulsion stability, it can be 0.0001 to 20 wt%, preferably 0.001 to 10 wt%, and more preferably 0.01 to 5 wt% relative to the total amount (100 wt%) of the present emulsion composition. In one embodiment, the present emulsion composition does not need to contain component (H), in which case the content is 0 wt%.

[0037] Other Ingredients The emulsion composition may contain various components that can be incorporated into an oil-in-water emulsion composition (particularly a cosmetic). Examples of such components include moisturizers, thickeners, powders, pigments, UV absorbers, film-forming agents, pH adjusters, anti-fading agents, antioxidants, defoamers, cosmetic ingredients, plant extracts, preservatives, and fragrances. For example, pH adjusters are preferably used because they can adjust the viscosity of certain water-soluble polymers (e.g., acrylic acid-based polymers such as (acrylates / alkyl acrylate (C10-30)) crosspolymers and carbomers). Examples of pH adjusters include, but are not limited to, sodium hydroxide, potassium hydroxide, and triethanolamine.

[0038] In addition, the present emulsion composition may further contain a nonionic surfactant with an HLB of less than 12.0, so long as it contains components (A) to (F). Examples of nonionic surfactants with an HLB of less than 12.0 include, but are not limited to, sorbitan sesquioleate, PEG-5 phytosterol, and polyoxyethylene alkyl (12-15) ether phosphate (8E.O.).

[0039] The emulsion composition may also contain a solid polar oil. As described above, the solid polar oil may be contained as component (D), component (G) and component (H), or may be contained as another component. Examples of solid polar oils include, but are not limited to, ester oils such as synthetic ester oils and natural ester oils, higher alcohols and fatty acids. Specific examples include, but are not limited to, di(octyldodecyl / phytosteryl / behenyl) lauroyl glutamate, stearyl alcohol, lauric acid and diethylaminohydroxybenzoylhexyl benzoate. In this specification, the term "solid" in polar oil means that the polar oil is solid under the condition of 25°C.

[0040] The emulsion composition may contain a non-polar oil. In this specification, the non-polar oil means an oil composed of molecules that have no polarity. Examples of the non-polar oil include hydrocarbon compounds and silicon-based compounds, and specifically, for example, light isoparaffin, light liquid isoparaffin, liquid isoparaffin, liquid paraffin, synthetic squalane, vegetable squalane, squalane, α-olefin oligomer, petrolatum, isododecane, and hydrogenated polyisobutene, dimethicone, diphenylsiloxyphenyl trimethicone, cyclopentasiloxane, etc., but are not limited thereto.

[0041] The emulsion composition may contain oily components other than those exemplified above. Examples of such oily components include paste oils such as phytosteryl / isostearyl / cetyl / stearyl / behenyl dimer dilinoleate, hydrogenated castor oil stearate, dipentaerythrityl hexa(hydroxystearic acid / stearic acid / rosin acid), and dextrin isostearate, solid oils such as bisethylhexyloxyphenol methoxyphenyl triazine, and solid water-dispersible components such as methylene bisbenzotriazolyl tetramethylbutylphenol, but are not limited thereto.

[0042] The emulsion composition may optionally contain a water-soluble liquid component. The water-soluble liquid component may include water-soluble alcohols, polyhydric alcohols, etc. The water-soluble alcohols may include, but are not limited to, ethanol, methanol, propanol, and isopropanol. The polyhydric alcohols may include, but are not limited to, glycerin, diglycerin, 1,3-butylene glycol, and dipropylene glycol.

[0043] Preferred ingredient ratio In the present emulsion composition, the ratio of the content of component (D) to component (B) ((D) / (B)) is preferably 0.2 or more, more preferably 0.3 or more, and even more preferably 0.4 or more, by weight. By increasing this ratio ((D) / (B)) as described above, the emulsion stability is further improved, and an emulsion composition with a good usability can be obtained. This ratio ((D) / (B)) may be 0.5 or more, or 0.8 or more. However, if this ratio ((D) / (B)) is too high, the content of component (B) in the present emulsion composition may be relatively too low. For example, this ratio ((D) / (B)) may be, but is not limited to, preferably 20 or less, more preferably 10 or less, and even more preferably 5 or less.

[0044] In the present emulsion composition, the ratio of the content of component (B) to component (A) ((B) / (A)) is preferably 0.05 or more, more preferably 0.1 or more, and even more preferably 0.2 or more, by weight. By increasing this ratio ((B) / (A)) as described above, the effect of component (B) in assisting emulsification of component (A) can be effectively obtained, further improving emulsion stability, and by increasing the proportion of component (B) among components that may have surface activity, it becomes easier to obtain an emulsion composition that provides good after-skin feel (moderate film feel). This ratio ((B) / (A)) may be 0.3 or more, or 0.5 or more, or 0.8 or more. However, if the ratio ((B) / (A)) is too high, the content of component (A) in the present emulsion composition may become too low relatively, which may reduce the surfactant ability and may also reduce the pleasant after-skin feeling (adequate film-like feel). Therefore, for example, the ratio ((B) / (A)) may be preferably 30 or less, more preferably 20 or less, and even more preferably 10 or less, but is not limited to this.

[0045] In the present emulsion composition, the ratio of the total content of polar oils including component (C) to the total amount of oily components (polar oil / total amount of oily components) is preferably 0.05 or more, more preferably 0.1 or more, and even more preferably 0.2 or more, in weight ratio. By increasing this ratio (polar oil / total amount of oily components), the proportion of polar oil contained in the oily components increases, making it easier to obtain an emulsion composition (particularly a cosmetic) that has good after-skin feel (moderate adhesion and film feeling) and spreads during use and gives a smooth feeling of use. Here, in this ratio, polar oil means polar oil including component (C), that is, all polar oils including liquid polar oils, solid polar oils, and semi-solid polar oils when blended. Therefore, the content of polar oil means the total amount of polar oil. In addition, oily components mean the entire oily components including polar oils and non-polar oils. The oily components do not include water, surfactants, water-soluble polymers, inorganic salts, and organic salts. This ratio (polar oil / total amount of oily components) may be 0.3 or more, or 0.5 or more, or 0.8 or more. Note that since polar oil is a constituent of the oily components, the upper limit of this ratio (polar oil / total amount of oily components) is 1 (when all of the oily components are polar oils), i.e., this ratio (polar oil / total amount of oily components) is 1 or less.

[0046] In the present emulsion composition, the ratio of the total content of components (A) and (B) to the total amount of oily components (((A)+(B)) / total amount of oily components) is preferably 0.01 or more, more preferably 0.03 or more, and even more preferably 0.05 or more, by weight. By increasing this ratio (((A)+(B)) / total amount of oily components), the oily components can be emulsified with a more sufficient amount of components (A) and (B), and the emulsion stability can be improved. As above, the oily components refer to the entire oily components including polar oils and non-polar oils, and do not include water, surfactants, water-soluble polymers, inorganic salts, and organic salts. This ratio (((A)+(B)) / total amount of oily components) may be 0.06 or more, or 0.08 or more, or 0.09 or more. However, if this ratio (((A)+(B)) / total amount of oily components) is too high, the total amount of components (A) and (B) in the present emulsion composition may exceed the amount required for emulsification and become too high, or the content of the oily components may become relatively low, resulting in a poor feel when used; therefore, for example, this ratio (((A)+(B)) / total amount of oily components) may be preferably 1 or less, more preferably 0.8 or less, and even more preferably 0.6 or less, but is not limited to this.

[0047] In one embodiment, the present emulsion composition is preferably an emulsion cosmetic (i.e., an oil-in-water emulsion cosmetic). In that case, a cosmetic having excellent emulsion stability and a good feel in use can be obtained. Cosmetics include skin cosmetics and hair cosmetics, and the present emulsion composition is particularly preferably an emulsion composition for skin, particularly a skin cosmetic (a cosmetic for skin). In addition, the present emulsion composition is applicable to emulsion compositions for all purposes, including skin care products and makeup products. The present emulsion composition can provide a smooth feel during use (during application), good after-skin feeling, reduced stickiness and tightness after application, and a film-like feel can be obtained.

[0048] The skin cosmetic is not particularly limited as long as it is in the form of an oil-in-water emulsion, and can be used as a cosmetic for various purposes. For example, it can be a lotion, cream, beauty essence, hand cream, eye cream, body cream, makeup cosmetic, makeup base, foundation, etc. Methods of using the skin cosmetic include applying it to hands or fingers, using cotton, impregnating nonwoven fabric, etc., spraying it with a spray or mist, etc.

[0049] The hair cosmetic is not particularly limited as long as it is in the form of an oil-in-water emulsion, and can be used as a cosmetic for various purposes. For example, cosmetics such as hair cream, hair wax, hair rinse, hair mask, and hair treatment are exemplified. Methods of using the hair cosmetic include a method of applying it to hands or fingers, a method of spraying or misting, and the like.

[0050] The present emulsion composition can be produced by mixing the above-mentioned components. For example, a method can be used in which the aqueous component that has been heated and mixed in advance and the oil component that has been heated and mixed in advance are mixed and emulsified, and then cooled. Of course, the method for producing the present emulsion composition is not limited to this.

[0051] This specification discloses a method for stabilizing emulsion in the production of an oil-in-water emulsion composition, which comprises mixing components (A) to (F). As described above, emulsion can be stabilized by blending behendimonium ethyl stearyl phosphate. Its application method and application means are not particularly limited, but are preferably as described above.

[0052] As described above, in one embodiment of the present invention, by using a hydrophilic surfactant (particularly a phospholipid) (component (A)) as the main emulsifier and behendimonium ethyl stearyl phosphate (component (B)) as an emulsifying aid, it is possible to provide an oil-in-water emulsion composition (particularly a cosmetic product) that is blended (particularly in a high blended amount) with a liquid polar oil (component (C)), which has high emulsion stability, excellent smooth feel, and excellent film feeling (non-stickiness) on the skin after application. When a higher alcohol (component (G)) is further blended, in addition to obtaining the effect of improving emulsion stability and improving usability due to the higher alcohol, it is possible to suppress viscosity changes and gelation caused by the higher alcohol, and it is possible to provide a stable oil-in-water emulsion composition. [0062] Suppression of crystallization over time The emulsion composition was allowed to stand in a thermostatic chamber at 40° C. for one week (7 days), and the presence or absence of crystals was visually observed. ◎: No crystals were observed ○: A small amount of crystals is observed, but it is so small that it is not noticeable when it comes into contact with the skin. △: A small amount of crystals is observed, but it is noticeable when touching the skin (its presence is noticeable). ×: Crystals are clearly observed

[0063] Smoothness during use A panel of 20 experts rated the products on a four-point scale using the absolute criteria (scores) below, and the average score was calculated from the total scores of all panelists, and judged according to the following criteria: Specifically, each sample was placed on the skin, and evaluated for smoothness (ease of spreading) when spread. <Score> 3: You can feel the smoothness (stretchiness) of the product. 2: Smoothness (stretchiness) is felt, but it is slightly insufficient 1: Smoothness (spreadability) is slightly insufficient 0: Insufficient smoothness (spreadability) <Judgment criteria> (Average score):(Judgment) 2.5 points or more: ◎ 2 points or more and less than 2.5 points: Yes 1 point or more but less than 2 points: △ Less than 1 point: ×

[0064] (Afterskin) Moderate film feeling A panel of 20 experts rated the products on a four-point scale using the absolute criteria (scores) below, and the average score was calculated from the total scores of all the panelists, and judged according to the following criteria: Specifically, after applying each sample to the skin and spreading it, the skin was evaluated on whether it felt sticky or tight, and whether it felt like a film. <Score> 3: No sticky or tight feeling, just a good filmy feel 2: No sticky or tight feeling, but the film-like feel is slightly insufficient 1: Either a sticky or tight feeling is felt, and the film-like feel is somewhat insufficient 0: Either a sticky feeling or a tight feeling is felt, and the film feeling is insufficient <Judgment criteria> (Average score):(Judgment) 2.5 points or more: ◎ 2 points or more and less than 2.5 points: Yes 1 point or more but less than 2 points: △ Less than 1 point: ×

[0065] result Examples 1 to 24, which contain components (A) to (F), did not receive an X rating in any of the evaluation items (emulsion stability, inhibition of crystallization immediately after production, inhibition of crystallization over time, smoothness during use, and (skin) moderate film-like feel after use), and thus had a good balance of emulsion stability and feel after use. On the other hand, Comparative Examples 1 to 6 were rated X in the evaluation item of "(skin) moderate film-like feel after use," and Comparative Examples 3 to 5 were also rated X in "emulsion stability," "inhibition of crystallization immediately after production," and "inhibition of crystallization over time."
