Description

[Technical field]

[0001] The present invention relates to a lighting device used when performing power distribution line construction work at night, and more particularly to a lighting device for an aerial work vehicle that is installed on an aerial work vehicle equipped with a bucket at the end of a boom for a worker to ride on. [Background technology]

[0002] For high-altitude work such as power line construction, a special vehicle called an aerial work vehicle is used, which is equipped with a bucket (a structure in which the floor and enclosure are integrated) at the end of a boom. When power line construction is carried out at night, lighting equipment is required, but since the worker is in the bucket, conventional lighting equipment installed on the ground cannot sufficiently illuminate the worker's hands.

[0003] Here, the structure of the vehicle for working at height will be explained with reference to Figures 6 and 7. Figure 6 is a side view of a conventional vehicle for working at height 50, Figure 7(a) is a plan view of a telescopic boom 53 with a winch post 59 and a bucket 55 attached to the tip, Figures 7(b) and 7(c) are front and side views, respectively, of the winch post 59, and Figure 7(d) is an external view of a connecting member 66. In Figure 6, the state in which the winch 61 rotates together with the winch post 59 is shown by a broken line. Also, in Figure 7(c), the connecting pin 66 is not shown. As shown in Figures 6 and 7(a), the vehicle for working at height 50 has a base end 53a of a telescopic boom 53 connected to a swivel base 52 mounted on the rear of a platform 51a of a vehicle 51 so as to be able to be raised and lowered in the vertical direction, and a bucket 55 connected to a tip end 53b of the telescopic boom 53 via a bucket support base 54. The bucket 55 is a box-shaped member formed so that a worker can ride inside, and includes a rectangular floor plate 55a and an enclosure 55c formed of four side plates 55b that are rectangular in plan view and extend upward from the four ends of the floor plate 55a. The telescopic boom 53 rotates in conjunction with the rotation of the swivel base 52, and is raised and lowered by the extension and contraction of a hoisting cylinder 56 installed between the base end 53a and the swivel base 52, and is extended and contracted by a built-in extension means (not shown). The bucket 55 is equipped with a leveling mechanism (not shown) so that it is always kept in a horizontal position regardless of the hoisting angle of the telescopic boom 53, and is structured to be rotatable around the rotation axis of the bucket support base 54. When the aerial work platform 50 is traveling, the telescopic boom 53 is tilted down to be approximately horizontal and is supported by the boom support base 58 in a rotated position so that the tip 53b is positioned to the front right of the driver's seat 57 installed at the front of the vehicle 51.

[0004] A winch post 59 is attached to the bucket support base 54 via a tip arm (not shown) so as to be rotatable in the vertical direction. A controller 67 for controlling the operation of the winch post 59 is installed between the bucket 55 and the winch post 59. The controller 67 is provided with a lever (not shown) for rotating or raising / lowering the winch post 59, and the winch post 59 is structured to rotate or raise by operating this lever. A winch 61 with a rope 60 wound around it is attached to the tip side of the winch support base 59, and a square tube-shaped boom bracket 62 having an axis parallel to the rotation plane of the winch post 59 is installed near the winch 61 in a state capable of holding a sub-boom 63. The sub-boom 63, which has a square tube shape and a sheave 64 attached to its tip side, has its base end inserted inside the boom bracket 62. A hoisting hook 65 is attached to the tip of a rope 60 that is reeled out from the winch 61 and wound around the sheave 64. A through hole 62a is provided on each of two parallel side surfaces of the boom bracket 62, and a through hole (not shown) is also provided on each of two parallel side surfaces of the sub-boom 63. The pair of through holes 62a, 62a of the boom bracket 62 is formed so that a connecting pin 66 can communicate with the pair of through holes of the sub-boom 63 when the base end side of the sub-boom 63 is inserted inside the boom bracket 62. That is, when the base end side of the sub-boom 63 is inserted inside the boom bracket 62, the connecting pin 66 is communicated with the pair of through holes 62a, 62a and the pair of through holes of the sub-boom 63, whereby the sub-boom 63 is fixed to the boom bracket 62.

[0005] In order to solve the above-mentioned problem of the difficulty in adequately illuminating the area around a worker's hands using conventional lighting devices, for example, Patent Document 1 discloses an idea called a "reflective night lighting device for aerial work vehicles" which relates to a device that illuminates from above the hands of workers who sit in a bucket and perform work such as power line construction at night. The idea disclosed in Patent Document 1 is a structure in which a work platform or the like is installed at the end of a boom that is freely raised and lowered and extended on a turntable mounted on the chassis of a high-altitude work vehicle, and the light from a spotlight located near the chassis is reflected by a reflector located near the top of the work platform or the like, thereby illuminating the work platform and its surroundings. With this structure, the lighting from above brightly illuminates the area close to the worker's hands, allowing the worker to safely perform difficult live-line work, etc. In addition, the light emitted from the floodlight is projected onto the reflector as a spot light, so the light does not directly enter the worker's eyes.

[0006] Furthermore, Patent Document 2 discloses an idea entitled "Lighting Device for Work at Heights" that is related to a device that illuminates a specified working area including the hands of a worker who sits in a bucket and performs work such as power line construction. The device disclosed in Patent Document 2 is characterized by comprising a clamp that has an induction coil inside it that generates induced power and that can be detachably attached to a live high-voltage power transmission line, a lighting circuit connected to the induction coil of the clamp, and a fluorescent lamp connected to the lighting circuit. With this structure, when installing or storing the lighting device, all that is required is to hook the clamp onto the high-voltage power line or detach the clamp from the high-voltage power line, enabling quick preparation and post-processing of the lighting device.

[0007] Patent Document 3 discloses an idea for a device called a “reflective night lighting device for aerial work vehicles” that illuminates the hands of a worker in a bucket from above with uniform illuminance. The idea disclosed in Patent Document 3 is for an aerial work vehicle having a turntable mounted on the chassis and a boom attached to the turntable so that it can be raised and lowered freely. A reflector having a greater curvature in the peripheral mirror portion than in the central portion is placed near the top of the bucket, and light from a spotlight placed near the chassis is shone onto this reflector. With this structure, the light is reflected over a wide range by the mirror portion in the center of the reflector, so that the bucket and its surroundings can be illuminated with a substantially uniform illuminance.

[0008] Furthermore, Patent Document 4 discloses an invention titled "Platform-type high-altitude work equipment with lighting" that relates to a high-altitude work equipment having a lifting means whose base end is attached to a base so that it can be raised and lowered freely, a platform (with handrails attached to the floor) attached to the tip of the lifting means, and a lighting device attached to the platform. The invention disclosed in Patent Document 4 comprises a cutout portion formed by cutting out a part of the outer edge of the platform when viewed in a plan view, a lighting device mounting bracket having a base end attached to this cutout portion or its vicinity, a large lighting device attached to the tip end of the lighting device mounting bracket so that its position can be freely changed, and a power supply unit attached to an appropriate location of the aerial work equipment other than on the floor surface of the platform, wherein the large lighting device in a stored state does not overlap the platform when viewed in a plan view, and the lighting device is mounted so that at least a portion of it is located in the cutout portion and is capable of illuminating vertically downward. With this structure, the large illuminator can illuminate a wide area of the work target, and can also illuminate the area vertically below the platform.

[0009] Furthermore, Patent Document 5 discloses an idea entitled "Lighting Device for Aerial Work Platform with Insulated Boom" relating to a lighting device to be installed on articulating and extending aerial work platforms. The device disclosed in Patent Document 5 is characterized by providing a light source below the insulating part of an insulated boom and providing a floodlight above the insulating part of the boom, with the light source and floodlight connected by an optical fiber cable. Such a construction allows for effective illumination without compromising the insulating properties of the boom. [Prior art documents] [Patent documents]

[0010] [Patent Document 1] Japanese Utility Model Application Publication No. 2-113203 [Patent Document 2] Japanese Utility Model Application Publication No. 3-76301 [Patent Document 3] Japanese Utility Model Application Publication No. 4-38844 [Patent Document 4] JP 2004-35224 A [Patent Document 5] Japanese Utility Model Application Publication No. 55-155800 Summary of the Invention [Problem to be solved by the invention]

[0011] The devices disclosed in Patent Documents 1 to 3 have a problem in that it is difficult to change the direction of the floodlight or fluorescent lamp, so that it is not possible to accurately illuminate the desired location. Also, the invention disclosed in Patent Document 4 has a problem in that the work area within the platform is limited by the large lighting device, so that workability is poor. Furthermore, in the device disclosed in Patent Document 5, it is difficult to change the direction of the floodlight, so it is considered difficult to accurately illuminate the desired location.

[0012] The present invention has been made in response to such conventional circumstances, and has an object to provide a lighting device for an aerial work vehicle that is used on an aerial work vehicle equipped with a bucket and a sub-boom, does not interfere with the work of a worker inside the bucket, and allows the direction of illumination to be easily changed. [Means for solving the problem]

[0013] In order to achieve the above-mentioned object, the first invention is a lighting device for an aerial work vehicle used on an aerial work vehicle in which a bucket and winch post are attached to the end of a telescopic boom, and a square tubular boom bracket into which a sub-boom is inserted is provided on the winch post, characterized in that, instead of a sub-boom, the lighting device is provided with a rectangular parallelepiped mounting member that is inserted into the boom bracket, and a lighting device installed on the upper surface of this mounting member. In the first invention, since the illuminator is fixed to the winch post via the boom bracket, when the controller used to control the operation of the winch post is operated, the illuminator rotates or rises and falls together with the winch post. Also, since the illuminator is installed outside the bucket, there is no risk of the worker in the bucket coming into contact with the illuminator.

[0014] The second invention is characterized in that, in the first invention, a second through hole is provided on a side of the mounting member so that a rod-shaped connecting member can be connected to a pair of first through holes provided on a pair of parallel side surfaces of the boom bracket. In the second invention, in addition to the effect of the first invention, when the mounting member is inserted into the inside of the boom bracket from the underside and the connecting member is connected to the first through hole of the boom bracket and the second through hole of the mounting member, the mounting member cannot be removed from the boom bracket and the lighting device installed on the mounting member is fixed to the winch post.

[0015] The third invention is characterized in that, in the first invention, the mounting member has a width wider than the side plates that constitute the bucket enclosure, and a side plate insertion portion is formed of a desired length from the underside of the rectangular parallelepiped extending upward so that the side plate can be positioned inside. In the third invention, in addition to the effect of the first invention, when the mounting member is straddled across the upper part of the bucket enclosure with the side plate placed within the side plate insertion portion, a pair of holding portions located on either side of the side plate insertion portion abut against both sides of the side plate, thereby preventing the mounting member from rotating around the upper end of the side plate.

[0016] The fourth invention is the third invention, characterized in that it includes a tilt adjustment device that is installed on the upper surface of the mounting member, and the lighting device is installed above the tilt adjustment device instead of being installed on the upper surface of the mounting member. In the fourth invention, in addition to the effect of the third invention, when the lighting device is installed on top of the bucket enclosure, if the direction of illumination is changed by holding the lighting device in one hand and changing its inclination, the lighting device is held in that position by the inclination adjustment device.

[0017] The fifth invention is the fourth invention, characterized in that it is provided with a swivel device that is installed on the upper surface of the mounting member, and the tilt adjustment device is installed on the top of the swivel device instead of being installed on the upper surface of the mounting member. In the fifth invention, in addition to the effect of the fourth invention, even if the lighting device is installed on top of the bucket enclosure, when the lighting device is held by hand and rotated to change the direction of illumination, the lighting device is held in that position by the rotating device via the tilt adjustment device.

[0018] The sixth invention is characterized in that, in any of the third to fifth inventions, the mounting member is provided with a rod-shaped screw member having a male thread on its outer peripheral surface, and the mounting member has a pair of screw holes on the side surfaces of the portions located on both sides of the side plate insertion portion, each of which has a pair of screw holes provided on its inner peripheral surface, the female threads which screw into the male threads, and the screw member is screwed into the screw hole so that its tip can protrude into the inside of the side plate insertion portion. In the sixth invention, in addition to the action of any one of the third to fifth inventions, when the side plate is placed within the side plate insertion portion and the mounting member is straddled across the upper part of the bucket enclosure, and the screw member is screwed into the screw hole until its tip protrudes inside the side plate insertion portion, the tip of the screw member protruding inside the side plate insertion portion presses against the side of the bucket side plate, generating a large frictional force between the tip of the screw member and the side, and this frictional force has the effect of making it difficult for the mounting member to come off from the side of the bucket. Effect of the Invention

[0019] According to the first invention, the irradiation direction of the illuminator can be easily changed by operating the controller. Also, since the illuminator is installed near the bucket, the illuminator can brightly illuminate the hands of the worker in the bucket. Furthermore, according to the first invention, there is no risk of the worker in the bucket accidentally touching the illuminator while working, and the working range is not limited, so high-altitude work such as power line construction can be performed safely and efficiently.

[0020] According to the second invention, the illuminator is fixed to the winch post in the same manner as when the sub-boom is fixed to the winch post, and therefore, in addition to the effects of the first invention, the second invention has the effect of facilitating the installation of the illuminator. Also, the second invention is excellent in safety during work because the illuminator can be reliably fixed to the winch post. Furthermore, the second invention has the advantage that the connecting pin used when fixing the sub-boom to the winch post can be used as the connecting member for fixing the illuminator to the winch post, so there is no need to fabricate a new connecting member.

[0021] According to the third invention, in addition to the effects of the first invention, even if the aerial work vehicle does not have a sub-boom or the sub-boom cannot be removed from the boom bracket in order to use the sub-boom, by installing the illuminator on the bucket, it is possible to brightly illuminate the area around the hands of the worker in the bucket. Also, with the third invention, when installed on the top of the bucket enclosure, the mounting member rotates around the upper end of the side plate, thereby disengaging the mounting member from the side plate, thereby preventing the illuminator from falling from the top of the bucket enclosure.

[0022] According to the fourth invention, in addition to the effects of the third invention, the effect is achieved that even when the lighting device is installed on the top of the bucket enclosure, the lighting direction can be easily adjusted by changing the inclination of the lighting device to change the lighting direction.

[0023] According to the fifth invention, in addition to the effects of the fourth invention, the effect is achieved that even when the lighting device is installed on the top of the bucket enclosure, the lighting direction can be easily adjusted by rotating the lighting device to change the lighting direction.

[0024] According to the sixth invention, by pressing the side surface of the bucket side plate with the tip of the screw member screwed into the screw hole, the mounting member is less likely to come off from the bucket side plate, thereby achieving the effect of the third to fifth inventions, as well as the effect of being able to securely fix the lighting device to the bucket. DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS EXAMPLES

[0026] Fig. 1 is a side view of the lighting device 1a for aerial work vehicles of the present invention. Fig. 2(a) is a front view of the lighting device 1a for aerial work vehicles shown in Fig. 1, and Fig. 2(b) and Fig. 2(c) are front and side views of the illuminator 5 shown in Fig. 2(a), respectively. Fig. 3(a) is a perspective view of the mounting member 2 and the swivel tool 3 shown in Fig. 1 or Fig. 2(a), Fig. 3(b) and Fig. 3(c) are perspective views of the rotating part 8 and the holding part 9 constituting the swivel tool 3, respectively, and Fig. 3(d) shows the swivel tool 3 cut by a plane passing through the center of rotation. Fig. 3(e) and Fig. 3(f) are front and side views of the inclination adjustment tool 4, respectively. In addition, a part of a side plate 55b of the bucket 55 is indicated by a dashed line in Fig. 1. Also, the components already explained using Fig. 6 and Fig. 7(a) to Fig. 7(c) are given the same reference numerals and the explanation thereof will be omitted as appropriate. As shown in Figures 1 and 2(a), the lighting device 1a for aerial work vehicles includes a substantially rectangular parallelepiped mounting member 2 installed on the upper part of a side plate 55b constituting an enclosure 55c of a bucket 55, a swivel tool 3 installed on the upper surface 2a of the mounting member 2, a tilt adjustment tool 4 installed on the upper surface 3a (see Figure 3(a)) of the swivel tool 3, and a illuminator 5 installed on the upper surface 4a (see Figure 3(e) or Figure 3(f)) of the tilt adjustment tool 4. In other words, the lighting device 1a for aerial work vehicles has a structure in which the illuminator 5 is installed on the upper surface 2a of the mounting member 2 via the swivel tool 3 and the tilt adjustment tool 4. The mounting member 2 has a structure in which a part of a rectangular parallelepiped is cut upward from the lower surface 2b side to a predetermined length with a width wider than the side plate 55b of the bucket 55, and the parts located on both sides of the cut part (hereinafter referred to as the side plate insertion part 7a) form a pair of holding parts 7b, 7b. The pair of holding parts 7b, 7b have an inner diameter larger than the outer diameter of the connecting pin 66, and a screw hole 7c with a female screw formed on the inner peripheral surface is provided so that the connecting pin 66 can be communicated. The mounting member 2 may have either a hollow or solid structure. In addition, the mounting member 2 is not limited to the shape shown in FIG. 3(a) as long as it has the side plate insertion part 7a, the pair of holding parts 7b, 7b, and the pair of screw holes 7c, 7c, and the upper surface 2a has a shape that allows the swivel tool 3 to be installed.

[0027] 2(b) and 2(c), the illuminator 5 includes a first light 6a and a second light 6b, 6b that use one or more LEDs as light sources. The first light 6a is installed in the main body 5a, and the second lights 6b, 6b are disposed diagonally above the first light 6a so as to form a pair across the main body 5a and are fixed to the main body 5a via an arm 5b. Both ends of the substantially C-shaped arm 5b are connected to a pair of shaft members 5c, 5c that are installed above and below the second light 6b and have a central axis parallel to the vertical direction and are rotatably connected to the second light 6b. In other words, the second light 6b is held by the arm 5b so as to be rotatable around the central axis of the shaft member 5c. A gripping portion 5d is provided on the upper portion of the main body 5a, and a frame body consisting of four rod-shaped bodies 5e arranged to form the four sides of a rectangle when viewed from above and connected to each other at their ends via connectors 5g is provided below the main body 5a. The lower portion of the main body 5a is connected to a pair of rod-shaped bodies 5e, 5e arranged in parallel via a pair of connecting plates 5f, 5f each having a rectangular shape when viewed from above. That is, the main body 5a is supported from below by the pair of connecting plates 5f, 5f and the frame body.

[0028] As shown in Fig. 3(a), the swivel tool 3 is made up of a disk-shaped rotating part 8 and a holding part 9 which holds the rotating part 8 and has its underside fixed to the upper surface 2a of the mounting member 2. As shown in Fig. 3(b), the rotating part 8 has an axial hole 8a in the center of the circle, and a guide part 8b forming a short cylinder is provided on one side so that the cylindrical axis coincides with the rotation center of the axial hole 8a. The inner diameter of the guide part 8b is larger than the inner diameter of the axial hole 8a. As shown in Figure 3(c), the holding portion 9 has a short cylindrical protrusion 9b that is inserted into the axial hole 8a of the rotating portion 8 and is arranged vertically relative to the disk-shaped base 9a, and a guide groove 9c that is circular in plan view is formed on the upper surface of the base 9a on which the protrusion 9b is provided, surrounding the protrusion 9b. The guide groove 9c has a width that allows the guide portion 8b of the rotating portion 8 to be placed therein, and is formed at a position where the center of the circle is located on the cylindrical axis of the protrusion 9b. Therefore, as shown in FIG. 3(d), when the rotating part 8 is installed on the upper surface side of the holding part 9 with the protrusion 9b inserted into the shaft hole 8a, the guide part 8b is disposed inside the guide groove 9c. At this time, the holding part 9 restricts the movement in a direction perpendicular to the central axis of rotation while allowing the rotating part 8 with the protrusion 9b inserted into the shaft hole 8a and the guide part 8b disposed inside the guide groove 9c to rotate. That is, the rotating part 8 is held by the holding part 9 so as to be rotatable around the cylindrical axis of the protrusion 9b. With this structure, the illuminator 5 fixed to the upper surface side of the rotating part 8 of the rotating tool 3 via the inclination adjustment tool 4 can rotate around the cylindrical axis of the protrusion 9b with respect to the mounting member 2 with the lower surface side of the holding part 9 of the rotating tool 3 fixed to the upper surface 2a.

[0029] As shown in Fig. 3(e) and Fig. 3(f), the inclination adjustment tool 4 is composed of a swinging part 10 made of a plate material bent to form a substantially U-shape in side view, and a holding part 11 on which the swinging part 10 is installed. In the swinging part 10, a pair of parallel flat plate parts 10a, 10a are each provided with an axial hole 10b, and the holding part 11 is composed of a base 11a having a rectangular shape in a plan view and a rectangular parallelepiped axial holding part 11b provided on the upper surface side of the base 11a, and a cylindrical axial part 11c inserted into the axial hole 10b of the swinging part 10 is provided on each of the two parallel side surfaces of the axial holding part 11b. That is, the swinging part 10 is connected to the holding part 11 so as to be swingable via the axial parts 11c, 11c inserted into the axial holes 10b, 10b, respectively. With this structure, the illuminator 5 mounted on the upper surface 4a of the swinging portion 10 of the inclination adjustment tool 4 is capable of swinging relative to the mounting member 2 connected via the swivel tool 3. Although the swinging part 10 of the inclination adjustment tool 4 has a pair of inclined surfaces 10c, 10c that come into surface contact with the inner surface of the connecting plate 5f, the swinging part 10 may have a structure that does not have the pair of inclined surfaces 10c, 10c as long as it has a shape that does not interfere with the inner surface of the connecting plate 5f. Also, the shaft holding part 11b of the holding part 11 may have a hollow or solid structure.

[0030] In the lighting device 1a for aerial work vehicles having the above-mentioned structure, even if the aerial work vehicle 50 does not have a sub-boom 63 or the sub-boom 63 cannot be removed from the boom bracket 62 in order to use the sub-boom 63, by installing the illuminator 5 on the bucket 55, it is possible to brightly illuminate the area around the hands of the worker riding in the bucket 55. In addition, in the lighting device 1a for aerial work vehicles, when the mounting member 2 is placed across the upper part of the enclosure 55c of the bucket 55 with the side plate 55b disposed inside the side plate insertion portion 7a, the pair of holding portions 7b, 7b located on both sides of the side plate insertion portion 7a come into contact with both sides of the side plate 55b, respectively, thereby preventing the mounting member 2 from rotating about the upper end of the side plate 55b. That is, in the lighting device 1a for aerial work vehicles, when the lighting device 1a is installed on the upper part of the enclosure 55c of the bucket 55, the mounting member 2 rotates about the upper end of the side plate 55b, thereby disengaging the mounting member 2 from the side plate 55b, and as a result, it is possible to prevent the illuminator 5 from falling from the upper part of the enclosure 55c of the bucket 55. Furthermore, in the lighting device 1a for aerial work vehicles, when the lighting device 1a is installed on the upper part of the enclosure 55c of the bucket 55, even if the lighting direction is changed by holding the lighting device 5 by hand and changing the inclination or rotating the lighting device 5, the lighting device 5 is maintained in that position by the inclination adjustment tool 4 and the rotating tool 3. Therefore, in the lighting device 1a for aerial work vehicles, the lighting direction can be easily adjusted by changing the inclination of the lighting device 5 or rotating the lighting device 5. [0031] Figures 4(a) and 4(b) are respectively a front view and a side view of the lighting device 1b for aerial work vehicles of the present invention. Also, Figure 5(a) is an external perspective view of the mounting member 12 and the spacer 13 shown in Figure 4(a) or 4(b), and Figure 5(b) shows the lighting device 1b for aerial work vehicles installed on a winch post 59 of aerial work vehicle 50. Note that the components already explained using Figures 1 to 3, 6, and 7(a) to 7(c) are given the same reference numerals and their explanations are omitted as appropriate. As shown in Figures 4(a) and 4(b), the lighting device 1b for aerial work vehicles comprises a rectangular parallelepiped mounting member 12 large enough to be inserted inside the boom bracket 62, a spacer 13 installed on the upper surface 12a of the mounting member 12, and an illuminator 5 installed on the upper surface 13a of the spacer 13 (see Figure 5(a)). In other words, the lighting device 1b for aerial work vehicles has a mounting member 12 and a spacer 13 instead of the mounting member 2, swivel device 3, and tilt adjustment device 4 of the lighting device 1a for aerial work vehicles, and instead of the illuminator 5 being mounted on the upper surface 2a of the mounting member 2 via the swivel device 3 and tilt adjustment device 4, the lighting device 5 is mounted on the upper surface 12a of the mounting member 12 via the spacer 13. A through hole 12b is formed extending from one of a pair of parallel side surfaces 12d, 12d of the mounting member 12 to the other, and into a pair of through holes 62a, 62a of the boom bracket 62 so as to allow communication with a connecting member (not shown) when the mounting member 12 is inserted into the inside of the boom bracket 62 from the underside 12c side.

[0032] As shown in FIG. 5(a), the spacer 13 has a shape in which the upper part of a pair of parallel side surfaces and a part of the upper surface 13a are cut out so that the spacer 13 does not interfere with the pair of connecting plates 5f, 5f (see FIG. 2(b)) when the illuminator 5 is installed on the upper surface 13a. The spacer 13 has a pair of inclined surfaces 13b, 13b that are in surface contact with the inner surface of the connecting plate 5f, but the spacer 13 may have a structure that does not have the pair of inclined surfaces 13b, 13b as long as the spacer 13 has a shape that does not interfere with the inner surface of the connecting plate 5f. The spacer 13 may have either a hollow or solid structure. Furthermore, since the spacer 13 is used for the purpose of increasing the joining strength of the illuminator 5 to the mounting member 12, the installation of the spacer 13 may be omitted if the joining strength of the illuminator 5 to the mounting member 12 is guaranteed even if the rod-shaped body 5e or the connector 5g is directly bonded to the upper surface 12a of the mounting member 12. In the lighting device 1b for aerial work vehicles, when a connecting member is passed through the pair of through holes 62a, 62a and the through hole 12b of the mounting member 12 in a state in which the mounting member 12 is inserted into the boom bracket 62 from the underside 12c side, the mounting member 12 is fixed to the boom bracket 62 together with the spacer 13 and the illuminator 5. As a result, the lighting device 1b for aerial work vehicles is installed on the winch post 59 as shown in Fig. 5(b). In this way, in the lighting device 1b for aerial work vehicles, the illuminator 5 is fixed to the winch post 59 by the same method as when the sub-boom 63 is fixed to the winch post 59, so the work of attaching the illuminator 5 to the winch post 59 can be easily performed. And, in the lighting device 1b for aerial work vehicles, the illuminator 5 can be securely fixed to the winch post 59, so that the safety during work is excellent. Furthermore, in the lighting device 1b for aerial work vehicles, the connecting pin 66 used when fixing the sub-boom 63 to the winch post 59 can be used as the connecting member for fixing the illuminator 5 to the winch post 59, so there is no need to newly prepare a connecting member.

[0033] In the lighting device 1b for aerial work vehicles having the above-mentioned structure, the illuminator 5 is installed near the bucket 55, so that the illuminator 5 can brightly illuminate the hands of a worker who is aboard the bucket 55 and performing distribution line work or the like. In addition, in the lighting device 1b for aerial work vehicles, the illuminator 5 is fixed to the winch post 59 via a boom bracket 62, so that the illuminator 5 rotates or rises and falls together with the winch post 59 by operating a controller 67 used to control the operation of the winch post 59. In other words, according to the lighting device 1b for aerial work vehicles, the irradiation direction of the illuminator 5 can be easily changed by operating the controller 67. Furthermore, in the lighting device 1b for aerial work vehicles, the illuminator 5 is installed outside the bucket 55, so there is no risk of a worker in the bucket 55 coming into contact with the illuminator 5. In other words, with the lighting device 1b for aerial work vehicles, there is no risk of a worker in the bucket 55 accidentally coming into contact with the illuminator 5 while working, so the working range of the worker is not limited. Therefore, with the lighting device 1b for aerial work vehicles, a worker in the bucket 55 can safely and efficiently perform high-altitude work such as power line construction.
