Description

[Technical field]

[0001] The present invention relates to a housing that can be used to house various devices such as ticket gates, a sheet metal member that constitutes the housing, and a method for manufacturing the housing. [Background technology]

[0002] For example, in relation to a cover mounting structure for an electronic device housing, a technology is known that uses uneven portions created by drawing to reduce the gap formed between the cover and the base on which the electronic components are mounted, thereby preventing electromagnetic waves from outside the cover from entering the cover and improving the electromagnetic shielding performance (see Patent Document 1).

[0003] However, although Patent Document 1 discloses the drawing process for improving the electromagnetic shielding performance as described above, it is silent about increasing the rigidity of the curved parts in order to maintain the design when manufacturing a housing having curved surfaces, and therefore it may not be possible to deal with this appropriately. [0004] [Patent Document 1] Japanese Patent Application Publication No. 10-303572 Summary of the Invention

[0005] The present invention has been made in consideration of the above-mentioned points, and aims to provide a housing that can be made rigid so as to maintain the curved shape, a sheet metal member that constitutes the housing, and a method for manufacturing the housing.

[0006] To achieve the above objective, a housing includes an attachment portion having a curved end and a drawn portion extending from the curved end, and a curved plate portion connected along the curved end of the attachment portion.

[0007] In the above-mentioned housing, the curved surface of the housing can be formed by connecting the curved plate portion along the end of the mounting portion. In this case, by providing a drawn portion on the mounting portion so as to extend from the curved end, it is possible to maintain the curved shape formed by the curved plate portion and increase rigidity.

[0008] In a specific aspect of the present invention, the mounting portion is attached so that a tangent portion of the curved plate portion is aligned with a tangent portion of the flat plate portion connected to the curved plate portion. In this case, the curved plate portion and the flat plate portion can be appropriately joined by the mounting portion.

[0009] In another aspect of the present invention, the mounting portion, the curved plate portion, and the flat plate portion are joined by welding. In this case, the entire housing can be assembled by relatively simple welding at these locations.

[0010] In yet another aspect of the present invention, a reinforcing portion is provided that supports the curved plate portion from the flat plate portion from the inner surface side. In this case, for example, the reinforcing portion may be made of a reinforcing metal plate or the like, which can further increase the rigidity at the supporting portion.

[0011] In still another aspect of the present invention, the drawn portion of the attachment portion has a stepped shape. In this case, the strength of the drawn portion can be increased.

[0012] In yet another aspect of the present invention, the mounting portion is formed by cutting out a portion from a ring-shaped drawn member according to the degree of curvature of the curved plate portion. In this case, even if the curved plate portion is bent at various angles other than 90°, it is possible to accommodate this, and therefore it is possible to accommodate a variety of designs when manufacturing the housing.

[0013] The sheet metal member for achieving the above object has a curved end and a drawn portion extending from the curved end, allowing a curved plate portion to be connected along the curved end.

[0014] In the above-mentioned sheet metal member, the curved surface of the housing can be formed by connecting the curved plate portion along the curved end portion. In this case, by providing a drawn portion extending from the curved end portion, it is possible to maintain the curved shape formed by the curved plate portion and increase rigidity.

[0015] A method for manufacturing a housing to achieve the above-mentioned objective is a method for manufacturing a housing that includes an attachment portion having a drawn portion extending from a curved end portion, and a curved plate portion connected to the attachment portion, in which a sheet metal member is formed as the attachment portion, and the end portion of the formed sheet metal member is connected to a side portion of the curved plate portion.

[0016] In the manufacturing method for the above-mentioned housing, the sheet metal member serving as the mounting part of the housing is connected to the curved plate part along the curved end part, thereby forming the curved surface of the housing. At this time, by providing a drawn part extending from the curved end part, it is possible to maintain the curved shape formed by the curved plate part and increase rigidity. DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS

[0018] [First embodiment] An example of the housing according to the first embodiment and the sheet metal member constituting the housing will be described below with reference to Fig. 1 etc. Fig. 1 is a perspective view showing a part of the housing 100 according to this embodiment, in which a sheet metal member 10 is attached as an attachment part, in an enlarged manner, and Fig. 2(A) is a perspective view of Fig. 1 seen from a different angle. Fig. 2(B) is a perspective view showing the state after the sheet metal member 10 has been attached. Figs. 3(A) and 3(B) are conceptual perspective views showing an example of the housing 100.

[0019] The housing 100 according to this embodiment includes, at the mounting locations shown in Figs. 1 and 2(A), sheet metal members 10 (10a, 10b) as mounting portions, a curved plate portion 20, and flat plate portions 30 (30a, 30b).

[0020] The sheet metal members 10 (10a, 10b) are a pair of mounting parts attached to both ends of the curved plate portion 20. In the drawing, the sheet metal member 10a is attached to one end of the curved plate portion 20, and the sheet metal member 10b is attached to the other end of the curved plate portion 20, and the sheet metal members 10a and 10b have mirror-symmetrical shapes. The functions of the sheet metal members 10a and 10b are similar, so in the following description, the sheet metal member 10a will be assumed to represent the sheet metal member 10 in principle.

[0021] The sheet metal member 10 is an iron member, and is formed into an uneven shape by drawing. Here, the sheet metal member 10 has a curved end 11 and a drawn portion 12 extending from the curved end 11, and the curved end 11 is a portion that connects to the curved plate portion 20. As shown in FIG. 2(A), the drawn portion 12 has a stepped shape. More specifically, the drawn portion 12 has a first flat portion 12a extending from the curved end 11, a second flat portion 12b, and a connection surface portion CN that connects the first flat portion 12a and the second flat portion 12b. The stepped shape is formed by these. An example of a method for forming the drawn portion 12 will be described later with reference to FIG. 4.

[0022] 2(A) and 2(B), the curved end portion 11 and the drawn portion 12 are connected to a flat plate portion 30 (30a, 30b). In the illustrated example, the surface of the sheet metal member 10 that is connected to the flat plate portion 30a is referred to as end surface Va, and the surface that is connected to the flat plate portion 30b is referred to as end surface Vb.

[0023] As for the other sheet metal member 10, sheet metal member 10b, as shown in FIG. 1, the curved end 11 is connected to the other side of the curved plate portion 20, and is also connected to the flat plate portions 30a and 30b, similar to sheet metal member 10a.

[0024] The curved plate portion 20 is an iron member, and is formed by bending a single rectangular flat plate member. The curved plate portion 20 is a portion that constitutes the rounded external shape of the entire housing 100. The curved plate portion 20 is connected to the curved ends 11 (more precisely, the side faces of the ends 11) of the sheet metal members 10a, 10b at both side surface portions Sa, Sb. Meanwhile, the curved plate portion 20 is connected to the flat plate portions 30 (30a, 30b) at tangent portions Ta, Tb.

[0025] The flat plate portion 30 (30a, 30b) is an iron member, and is formed by bending a single rectangular flat plate member. In the illustrated example, the flat plate portion 30a provided as the upper side portion of the housing 100 is inclined, and the flat plate portion 30b provided as the lower side portion of the housing 100 is in a vertical state. The inclination of the flat plate portion 30a with respect to the flat plate portion 30b is determined by the degree of curvature of the curved plate portion 20 connecting them. In the illustrated example, the flat plate portions 30a, 30b have flat plate portions Fa, Fb as flat central portions and bent portions Ba, Bb as peripheral portions having a three-dimensional shape. That is, the flat plate portions 30a, 30b are formed by bending the pair of both side surfaces of a single rectangular flat plate member to provide portions corresponding to the bent portions Ba, Bb. The end faces Ca, Cb of the bent portions Ba, Bb have shapes corresponding to the end faces Va, Vb of the sheet metal member 10. On the other hand, the tangent portions Ua, Ub, which are the end faces of the flat plate portions Fa, Fb, are connected to the tangent portions Ta, Tb of the curved plate portion 20.

[0026] If we look at the above example configuration from the perspective of the sheet metal member 10, first, the sheet metal member 10 has a shape corresponding to the curvature of the curved plate portion 20 to enable the above-mentioned connection. In other words, the curved plate portion 20 is connected along the curved end portion 11 of the sheet metal member 10. Furthermore, the sheet metal member 10 has a drawn portion 12 to maintain the strength of the curved portion of the curved plate portion 20. In particular, in the illustrated example, the drawn portion 12 has a stepped shape, which can further increase the strength of the drawn portion 12.

[0027] On the other hand, in the above case, the bent portions Ba, Bb of the flat plate portions 30a, 30b are shaped according to the step shape of the drawn portion 12. That is, the sheet metal member 10 and the flat plate portions 30a, 30b are connected at the drawn portion 12 and the bent portions Ba, Bb. Accordingly, the tangent portions Ta, Tb of the curved plate portion 20 are in contact with the tangent portions Ua, Ub of the flat plate portion 30. In the above case, it is not necessary to provide a three-dimensional shape for the curved plate portion 20 having a curved surface, and the curved plate portion 20 can be manufactured by simply performing bending processing to form the exterior of the housing 100 on a single flat plate. With regard to the above, in terms of the sheet metal member 10, the sheet metal member 10 is mounted in such a manner that the tangent portions Ta, Tb of the curved plate portion 20 are aligned with the tangent portions Ua, Ub of the flat plate portion 30 connected to the curved plate portion 20.

[0028] As described above, the mounting parts, the sheet metal members 10 (10a, 10b), the curved plate portion 20, and the flat plate portion 30 (30a, 30b), are welded together at their connection points, forming a housing 100 with no gaps at the connection points, as illustrated in FIG. 2(B). Specifically, as shown in the overall appearance of an example illustrated in FIG. 3(A), it is possible to manufacture (produce) a housing 100 with an exterior shape (design) having curved portions. In the illustrated case, the housing 100 has the above-mentioned connection points at three locations surrounded by dashed lines, and the overall shape is formed by providing a pair of side plates SSa and SSb in a pentagonal shape with rounded corners. If necessary, a plate member may be further provided on the bottom surface to seal the inside. When the housing 100 is used, for example, to store various devices, the above-mentioned connection points are welded and then painted, etc., to form the housing 100 with all parts integrated together, as shown in FIG. 3(B).

[0029] Generally, in order to manufacture (produce) a housing having a rounded shape as described above, it is possible to make a mold (molding mold) that is the basis of the overall shape, but there is a high possibility that the cost of making the mold will increase and large-scale equipment will be required. For example, when manufacturing a housing for a ticket gate that functions as a passing gate at a station or airport, a fairly large mold will be made, and considering the cost of making the mold and the equipment, the initial investment will be large and it is considered to be unsuitable for small-lot production. On the other hand, when a rounded housing is manufactured by welding a flat plate and a curved flat plate (such as the curved plate portion 20) without using a mold, high welding technology is required, and there is a possibility that the finished product (beauty) will differ depending on the proficiency of the welding engineer, for example. In contrast, in the present embodiment, by combining the sheet metal member 10 produced by the drawing process as described above with the curved plate portion 20 and the flat plate portion 30 connected thereto, it is sufficient to have a mold for the sheet metal member 10 produced by the drawing process; a large mold is not required, and the number of welding points is reduced as much as possible, making it possible to produce housings having the required rigidity while having various shapes, using only simple welding.

[0030] Hereinafter, an example of the formation of the sheet metal member 10 as a mounting portion will be described with reference to a conceptual diagram shown in FIG. 4. In the figure, as shown in state α, the metal member 10X from which the sheet metal member 10 is based is ring-shaped, and as shown in the partially cut-away perspective view surrounded by a dashed line, the metal member 10X has a three-dimensional shape portion (concave and convex) RP. That is, the three-dimensional shape portion RP forms the drawn portion 12 of the sheet metal member 10. In this case, the edge portion EG forming the outermost end portion 10Xe of the metal member 10X is the portion that becomes the curved end portion 11 of the sheet metal member 10, the outer hollow disk portion 10Xa is the portion that becomes the first flat portion 12a of the drawn portion 12, the inner hollow disk portion 10Xb is the portion that becomes the second flat portion 12b, and the connection portion 10Xc that connects the hollow disk portion 10Xa and the hollow disk portion 10Xb is the portion that becomes the connection surface portion CN. The metal member 10X can be formed into a member having the above-mentioned unevenness by, for example, drawing a disk-shaped or hollow disk-shaped member. As shown in state β, the sheet metal member 10 is formed by cutting out the metal member 10X having a circular shape (hollow disk shape) in a plan view at a central angle θ with the center (center of gravity) O of the metal member 10X as a reference.

[0031] In the above, the radius R1 of the circular metal member 10X corresponds to the curvature of the curved plate portion 20. The value of the radius R1 can be changed in various ways depending on the desired design, etc., but it can be set to about 6 cm, for example.

[0032] In the case of the above configuration, the radius R1 and the central angle θ when forming the sheet metal member 10 can be easily and reliably adjusted according to the required design, i.e., the degree of curvature (angle and radius of curvature) of the curved plate portion 20, thereby making it possible to produce (manufacture) the sheet metal member 10 having the desired shape.

[0033] As described above, the sheet metal member 10 serving as the mounting portion is formed by cutting out a portion from the metal member 10X, which is a ring-shaped drawn member, according to the degree of curvature of the curved plate portion 20. In this case, even if the curved plate portion 20 is curved at various angles other than 90°, this can be accommodated, so that it is possible to accommodate a variety of designs when manufacturing the housing 100.

[0034] FIG. 5 is a conceptual perspective view showing a ticket gate (automated ticket gate) TG as an example of a device to which the housing 100 according to the present embodiment is applied. For example, as shown in FIG. 5(A) and FIG. 5(B), the ticket gate TG is composed of a pair of housings 100 (100A, 100B), and one housing 100A is formed with various interface units IF such as a touch panel unit TP, a non-contact type reading unit CR, or a ticket insertion unit TI. In the illustrated example, the various interface units IF are provided at a location corresponding to the flat plate portion Fa (see FIG. 1) of the inclined flat plate portion 30a constituting the upper side portion of the housing 100. In addition, although details are omitted, various control mechanisms are provided inside the housing 100A, which operate the various interface units IF and determine whether or not passage is permitted depending on the results of the operations. Furthermore, between the housing 100A and the housing 100B, as shown in FIG. 5(A) and FIG. 5(B), an openable / closable gate device GT is provided, which performs opening and closing operations depending on the results of the operation of the various interface units IF. That is, when passage is permitted and the gate device GT is in an open state as shown in FIG. 5(B), the user of the ticket barrier TG can proceed in the direction indicated by the arrow A1.

[0035] In addition, the shape of the housing 100 used as the ticket gate TG may be a pentagonal shape with three rounded corners as shown in FIG. 3, a pentagonal shape with all five rounded corners as shown in FIG. 5(A) and FIG. 5(B), or a pentagonal shape with no vertical faces as shown in FIG. 5(C). Furthermore, a hexagonal shape as shown in FIG. 5(D) may be used. In this embodiment, as described above, by using the sheet metal member 10, it is possible to easily manufacture the housing 100 having various shapes as described above. In particular, as described with reference to FIG. 4, in this embodiment, it is possible to configure polygonal shapes with various angles as described above by appropriately adjusting the angle when cutting the sheet metal member 10 from the metal member 10X. In other words, it is possible to meet various design requests for the housing 100.

[0036] As described above, the housing 100 according to this embodiment includes the sheet metal member 10, which is an attachment part having the curved end 11 and the drawn part 12 extending from the curved end 11, and the curved plate part 20 connected along the curved end 11 of the sheet metal member 10. As a result, in the housing 100, the curved surface of the housing 100 can be formed by connecting the curved plate part 20 along the end 11 of the sheet metal member 10, and at this time, by providing the drawn part 12 to extend from the curved end 11 in the sheet metal member 10, it is possible to maintain the curved shape formed by the curved plate part 20 and to increase rigidity. In other words, by attaching the sheet metal member 10 manufactured by drawing at the connection with the curved plate part 20, which is a curved part, it is possible to increase rigidity while maintaining the design in the manufacture of the curved part, which was difficult to achieve by sheet metal processing.

[0037] Furthermore, as described above, the sheet metal member 10 in this embodiment has a curved end 11 and a drawn portion 12 extending from the curved end 11, making it possible to connect the curved plate portion 20 along the curved end 11.

[0038] Furthermore, as described above, the manufacturing method for the housing 100 in this embodiment is a manufacturing method for the housing 100 which includes a sheet metal member 10 as an attachment portion having a drawn portion 12 extending from a curved end portion 11, and a curved plate portion 20 connected to the sheet metal member 10 as the attachment portion, and which forms the sheet metal member 10 as the attachment portion, and connects the end portion 11 of the formed sheet metal member 10 to the side portions Sa, Sb of the curved plate portion 20.

[0039] Second Embodiment Hereinafter, an example of the housing 200 according to the second embodiment will be described with reference to Fig. 6 etc. This embodiment differs from the first embodiment in that a reinforcing portion RI is provided on the inside of the housing 200, but apart from this, it is similar to the first embodiment, so illustrations and descriptions of the overall configuration of the housing 200 will be omitted.

[0040] Fig. 6 is a perspective view showing a part of the housing 200 according to this embodiment where the sheet metal member 210 is attached as an attachment portion, in an enlarged manner, and corresponds to Fig. 2(A). Fig. 7(A) is a perspective view for explaining the attachment state between the sheet metal member 210 and the reinforcing portion RI in Fig. 6. Fig. 7(B) is a perspective view showing the state after the sheet metal member 210 is attached, and corresponds to Fig. 2(B).

[0041] In an example shown in Fig. 6 etc., two reinforcing members RIa, RIb made of sheet metal (reinforcing sheet metal) or the like are provided as reinforcing parts RI for one sheet metal member 210. Both reinforcing members RIa, RIb are iron members and plate-shaped members, like the other parts. As shown in Fig. 6 and Fig. 7(A), of the reinforcing members RIa, RIb, the first reinforcing member RIa corresponds to the first flat surface portion 212a in the drawn portion 212 of the sheet metal member 210, and the second reinforcing member RIb corresponds to the second flat surface portion 212b of the sheet metal member 210.

[0042] As shown in the figure, for example, the first reinforcing member RIa is attached from the inside of the first flat surface portion 212a, and further extends from the curved surface plate portion 220 to the flat surface portion 230 (230a, 230b) so as to support it from the inner surface side. Specifically, the through holes HL1a (two in the illustrated example) provided in the first reinforcing member RIa correspond to the mounting holes MH1a provided in the flat surface portion 230a, and in the state shown in FIG. 7(B), the first reinforcing member RIa is attached and fixed to the flat surface portion 230a from the inside at the corresponding locations. Also, the through holes HL1b (two in the illustrated example) provided in the first reinforcing member RIa correspond to the mounting holes MH1b provided in the flat surface portion 230b, and is attached and fixed to the flat surface portion 230b from the inside. Similarly, with respect to the second reinforcing member RIb, the through holes HL2a and HL2b provided in the second reinforcing member RIb correspond to the mounting holes MH2a and MH2b provided in the flat plate portions 230a and 230b, respectively, and are attached and fixed to the flat plate portions 230a and 230b from the inside. As described above, the sheet metal member 210 is supported from the inner surface side from the curved plate portion 220 to the flat plate portion 230 by the reinforcing portion RI, and thus the rigidity at the supporting points (connecting points) can be further increased.

[0043] In this embodiment as well, the curved surface of the housing 100 can be formed by the curved plate portion 220 of the housing 200, and in this case, by providing the sheet metal member 210, it is possible to maintain the curved shape formed by the curved plate portion 220 and to increase rigidity. Furthermore, in this embodiment, by providing a reinforcing portion RI made of, for example, a reinforcing sheet metal or the like, which supports from the inner surface side from the curved plate portion 220 to the flat plate portion 230, it becomes possible to press down from the back side by the strong portion RI, so to speak, and it becomes possible to further increase the rigidity at the supporting point.

[0044] 〔others〕 The present invention is not limited to the above-described embodiment, and can be embodied in various forms without departing from the spirit and scope of the present invention.

[0045] First, in the above example, the shape of the housing 100 and the like is shown as a pentagonal or hexagonal side shape, but this is not limited thereto, and various shapes are possible, for example, it is also possible to consider a triangular side shape. Furthermore, in the above, as an example of the application of the housing 100 and the like, the case where it is used as a housing for a ticket gate is shown, but this is not limited thereto, and the present invention can be applied to a housing that stores various devices. In addition, the ticket gate is not limited to the paired configuration illustrated in FIG. 5, but various types of ticket gates, such as those configured with one housing, are possible, and the present invention can be applied to these.

[0046] In the above description, the metal member 10X from which the sheet metal member 10 is made is circular in plan view, but the shape is not limited thereto and may be, for example, an elliptical shape. The stepped shape of the drawn portion 12 in the sheet metal member 10 is also not limited to the above and may be of various shapes. For example, it may be possible to further increase the steps to increase rigidity.

[0047] In the above description, each part of the sheet metal member 10 etc. is made of iron, but the present invention is not limited to this and can be applied to cases where other metal members or alloy members etc. are used. [Explanation of symbols]
