Description

[Technical field]

[0001] The present invention relates to a packaging material for packaging a robot. [Background technology]

[0002] Conventionally, packaging materials that are provided with gripping parts that can be gripped by workers have been known (for example, JP 2015-229517 A). For example, robots are packaged in the packaging materials. Summary of the Invention

[0003] When the robot is to be installed on the stand, it needs to be unpacked. Therefore, the robot needs to be provided with a mounting part to which a lifting member of a lifting device for lifting the robot is attached, or a gripping part for an operator to lift the robot. This causes a problem of an increase in the number of parts of the robot.

[0004] The present invention has been made to solve the above problems, and aims to provide a packaging material that can eliminate the need for dedicated parts for mounting a robot on a stand, thereby reducing the number of parts in the robot.

[0005] An aspect of the present invention is a packaging material for packaging a multi-joint robot, the packaging material having a first support member that supports the multi-joint robot with a base of the multi-joint robot exposed, the first support member having a mounting portion to which a mounting member of a lifting device is attached so that the lifting device can lift the multi-joint robot together with the first support member, or a gripping portion that is gripped by a worker so that the worker can lift the multi-joint robot together with the first support member.

[0006] According to the present invention, the number of parts of a robot can be reduced. [Brief description of the drawings]

[0008] [First embodiment] FIG. 1 is a perspective view showing a packaging material 10. The packaging material 10 packs a robot 12. In FIG. 1, the robot 12 packed in the packaging material 10 is shown by a dotted line. The robot 12 is an articulated robot, and has a base 14 and a manipulator 16. When the robot 12 is packed in the packaging material 10, the robot 12 takes a predetermined packaging posture. Hereinafter, in this embodiment, directions are described using the coordinate axes X, Y, and Z shown in FIG. 1. Coordinate axes corresponding to the coordinate axes of FIG. 1 may be described in figures other than FIG. 1.

[0009] The packaging material 10 is made of cardboard or a foaming agent. The packaging material 10 has a strength sufficient to bear the load of the robot 12. The packaging material 10 has a first packaging member 20, a second packaging member 22, and a third packaging member 24. The first packaging member 20 is attached to the robot 12 from the negative side in the Y-axis direction of the robot 12. The second packaging member 22 is attached to the robot 12 from the positive side in the Y-axis direction of the robot 12. With the first packaging member 20 and the second packaging member 22 attached to the robot 12, the base 14 of the robot 12 is exposed to the outside. The third packaging member 24 is attached to the robot 12 from the negative side in the Z-axis direction and covers the base 14 of the robot 12. The first packaging member 20 and the second packaging member 22 correspond to the first support member of the present invention, and the third packaging member 24 corresponds to the second support member of the present invention.

[0010] FIG. 2 is a view of the first packaging member 20 as viewed from the negative side in the Y axis direction. FIG. 3 is a view of the first packaging member 20 as viewed from the positive side in the Y axis direction. The first packaging member 20 has an attachment portion 26. The attachment portion 26 is formed by a through hole penetrating in the Y axis direction. A recessed gripping portion 28 is provided on the surface of the first packaging member 20 on the negative side in the Y axis direction. A recessed storage portion 30 is provided on the surface of the first packaging member 20 on the positive side in the Y axis direction. The storage portion 30 is formed along the outer shape of the robot 12 in the packing posture as viewed from the negative side in the Y axis direction.

[0011] FIG. 4 is a view of the second packaging member 22 as viewed from the Y-axis direction positive side. FIG. 5 is a view of the second packaging member 22 as viewed from the Y-axis direction negative side. The second packaging member 22 has an attachment portion 32. The attachment portion 32 is formed by a through hole penetrating in the Y-axis direction. When the first packaging member 20 and the second packaging member 22 are attached to the robot 12, the attachment portion 26 of the first packaging member 20 and the attachment portion 32 of the second packaging member 22 communicate with each other. A recessed gripping portion 34 is provided on the surface of the second packaging member 22 on the Y-axis direction positive side. A recessed storage portion 36 is provided on the surface of the second packaging member 22 on the Y-axis direction negative side. The storage portion 36 is formed along the outer shape of the robot 12 in the packaging posture as viewed from the Y-axis direction positive side.

[0012] With the first packaging member 20 and the second packaging member 22 attached to the robot 12, the surface of the first packaging member 20 on which the storage section 30 is formed and the surface of the second packaging member 22 on which the storage section 36 is formed are joined together. An adhesive may be applied to each of the joining surfaces of the first packaging member 20 and the second packaging member 22 to firmly join the two. Also, an engagement portion that engages the first packaging member 20 and the second packaging member 22 with each other may be provided on each of the joining surfaces of the first packaging member 20 and the second packaging member 22. Also, the first packaging member 20 and the second packaging member 22 may be fixed together with an adhesive tape.

[0013] With the first packaging member 20 and the second packaging member 22 joined together, the space formed by the storage section 30 and the storage section 36 has a shape substantially equal to the shape of the manipulator 16 of the robot 12 in the packing posture. That is, the robot 12 is sandwiched between the first packaging member 20 and the second packaging member 22. This allows the robot 12 to be moved together with the first packaging member 20 and the second packaging member 22.

[0014] Fig. 6 is a view of the third packaging member 24 as viewed from the Z axis direction positive side. Fig. 7 is a view showing a state in which the third packaging member 24 is attached to the robot 12. A storage section 38 formed by recessing along the shape of the base 14 on the Z axis direction negative side is provided on the surface of the third packaging member 24 on the Z axis direction positive side. The storage section 38 is formed in a shape that allows the robot 12 to stand on its own on the storage section 38 with the base 14 of the robot 12 placed on it from the Z axis direction positive side. This allows the robot 12 to stand on its own with the base 14 placed on the storage section 38 as shown in Fig. 7.

[0015] 8A to 8D are diagrams showing the procedure for installing the robot 12 on the pedestal 40. Fig. 9 is an enlarged view of the vicinity of the base 14 when the robot 12 is installed on the pedestal 40.

[0016] As shown in FIG. 8A, the opening operation of the packaging material 10 is performed near the stand 40 on which the robot 12 is installed. As shown in FIG. 8B, the sling 42 is passed through the mounting parts 26 and 32 and is hung by the lifting tool 46 of the crane 44. The robot 12 is then lifted up together with the first packaging member 20 and the second packaging member 22 by the crane 44. At this time, the third packaging member 24 is removed from the base 14 of the robot 12 and remains on the ground. Since the robot 12 is supported by the storage part 30 of the first packaging member 20 and the storage part 36 of the second packaging member 22, the robot 12 will not fall even if the third packaging member 24 is removed from the base 14. The crane 44 corresponds to the lifting device of the present invention, and the sling 42 corresponds to the mounting member of the present invention.

[0017] As shown in FIG. 8C, the robot 12 is installed on the stand 40 by the crane 44 while the first packaging member 20 and the second packaging member 22 are attached. As shown in FIG. 9, when the first packaging member 20 and the second packaging member 22 are attached to the robot 12, the base 14 is exposed to the outside. Therefore, the worker 50 can fix the base 14 to the stand 40 with the bolt 48 in this state. If the base 14 is fixed to the stand 40 by at least one bolt 48, the robot 12 can be prevented from falling over. As shown in FIG. 8D, the worker 50 removes the first packaging member 20 and the second packaging member 22 from the robot 12. This completes the installation of the robot 12 on the stand 40. Since the base 14 is fixed to the stand 40 by the bolt 48, the robot 12 is prevented from falling over when the worker 50 removes the first packaging member 20 and the second packaging member 22 from the robot 12.

[0018] In the above, the procedure has been described in which the robot 12 is hoisted by the crane 44 and installed on the pedestal 40. However, the robot 12 may be lifted by the worker 50 and installed on the pedestal 40. FIGS. 10A to 10D are diagrams showing the procedure in which the robot 12 is installed on the pedestal 40.

[0019] As shown in Fig. 10A, the work of opening the packaging material 10 is carried out near the stand 40 on which the robot 12 is installed. As shown in Fig. 10B, the gripping portions 28, 34 are gripped by two workers 50, and the robot 12 is lifted up together with the first packaging member 20 and the second packaging member 22. At this time, the third packaging member 24 is detached from the base 14 of the robot 12 and remains on the ground.

[0020] As shown in Fig. 10C, the worker 50 installs the robot 12 on the stand 40 with the first packaging member 20 and the second packaging member 22 still attached. With the first packaging member 20 and the second packaging member 22 attached to the robot 12, the base 14 is exposed to the outside. Therefore, the worker 50 can fix the base 14 to the stand 40 with the bolts 48 in this state. As shown in Fig. 10D, the worker 50 removes the first packaging member 20 and the second packaging member 22 from the robot 12. This completes the installation of the robot 12 on the stand 40.

[0021] [Effects] Conventionally, the robot 12 is installed on the stand 40 after being unpackaged. Therefore, it is necessary to provide the robot 12 with an attachment part to which the sling 42 of the crane 44 is attached, or a gripping part to be gripped by the worker 50. The attachment part or gripping part is not necessary except when the robot 12 is being moved. Therefore, if the robot 12 is provided with parts that are used infrequently, the number of parts in the robot 12 increases, and the man-hours required for assembling the robot 12 also increase.

[0022] Therefore, the packaging material 10 of this embodiment includes a first packaging member 20 having an accommodation section 30 for accommodating the robot 12 therein, and a second packaging member 22 having an accommodation section 36 for accommodating the robot 12 therein. When the robot 12 is accommodated in the first packaging member 20 and the second packaging member 22, the base 14 of the robot 12 is exposed to the outside. The first packaging member 20 includes an attachment section 26 and a gripping section 28. Similarly, the second packaging member 22 includes an attachment section 32 and a gripping section 34.

[0023] As a result, the mounting portion 26 and the gripping portion 28 are provided on the first packaging member 20, and the mounting portion 32 and the gripping portion 34 are provided on the second packaging member 22, so there is no need to provide a mounting portion or a gripping portion on the robot 12. This reduces the number of parts of the robot 12, and the number of steps required to assemble the robot 12 can be reduced.

[0024] Moreover, the packaging material 10 of this embodiment has a third packaging member 24 that covers the base 14 of the robot 12. The third packaging member 24 is formed so as to come off the base 14 when the first packaging member 20 and the second packaging member 22 containing the robot 12 are hoisted by a crane 44 or lifted by a worker 50.

[0025] As a result, the base 14 can be protected by the third packaging member 24 when the robot 12 is transported. Furthermore, when the robot 12 is installed on the stand 40, the third packaging member 24 is detached from the base 14, and the base 14 is exposed to the outside. Therefore, the robot 12 can be installed on the stand 40 with the first packaging member 20 and the second packaging member 22 attached to the robot 12.

[0026] Moreover, in the packaging material 10 of the present embodiment, the third packaging member 24 is formed in a shape that allows the robot 12 placed on the third packaging member 24 to stand on its own. This allows the robot 12 to stand on its own stably while being packed in the packaging material 10.

[0027] In the above, the first packaging member 20 and the second packaging member 22 are lifted by the crane 44, but they may be lifted by a robot other than the robot 12.

[0028] Second Embodiment Fig. 11 is a perspective view showing the packaging material 52. Fig. 12 is a perspective view of the packaging material 52 with the outer box 54 removed. Fig. 13 is a perspective view of the packaging material 52 with the outer box 54 and the fourth packaging member 56 removed. The packaging material 52 of this embodiment packages the robot 12 in the same manner as the packaging material 10 of the first embodiment.

[0029] The packaging material 52 is made of cardboard. The packaging material 52 has a strength sufficient to support the load of the robot 12. The packaging material 52 includes an outer box 54, a fourth packaging member 56, a fifth packaging member 58, and a sixth packaging member 60.

[0030] As shown in FIG. 11, the robot 12 is entirely covered by an outer box 54 and a sixth packaging member 60. Hereinafter, in this embodiment, the structure of the packaging material 52 will be described based on a state in which the packaging material 52 is placed so that the sixth packaging member 60 is in contact with the ground. In this embodiment, directions are described using the X, Y, and Z coordinate axes shown in FIG. 11. Coordinate axes corresponding to the coordinate axes of FIG. 11 may be described in figures other than FIG. 11. The X-axis direction and the Y-axis direction are parallel to the horizontal direction (direction perpendicular to the direction of gravity). The Z-axis direction is the up-down direction (direction parallel to the direction of gravity), with the positive Z-axis direction indicating the upper side and the negative Z-axis direction indicating the lower side.

[0031] The robot 12 is an articulated robot, and has a base 14 and a manipulator 16. When the robot 12 is packed in a packing material 52, the robot 12 takes a packing posture as shown in Fig. 12 and Fig. 13. The manipulator 16 has a plurality of links. When the robot 12 takes the packing posture, the axial direction of one link 62, which is located at the top of the plurality of links, approximately coincides with the Y-axis direction. The link 62 corresponds to one link of the present invention.

[0032] The outer box 54 is formed in a box shape with an opening on the negative side in the Z axis direction, and is placed on the robot 12 from the positive side in the Z axis direction to accommodate the robot 12 inside. The fourth packaging member 56 is formed in a box shape with an opening on the negative side in the Z axis direction, and is attached to the robot 12 while covering the link 62 from the positive side in the Z axis direction. The fifth packaging member 58 is inserted between the link 62 and the base 14 and attached to the robot 12. When viewed from the positive side in the Z axis direction, the fourth packaging member 56 is disposed to extend in the Y axis direction, and the fifth packaging member 58 is disposed to extend in the X axis direction. The fourth packaging member 56 and the fifth packaging member 58 are housed in the outer box 54 together with the robot 12 in a state where they are attached to the robot 12. The fifth packaging member 58 corresponds to the first support member of the present invention.

[0033] When the fourth packaging member 56 is housed in the outer box 54, it abuts against the inner peripheral surface of the outer box 54 or faces the inner peripheral surface of the outer box 54 with a small gap therebetween. This prevents the robot 12 from falling in the Y-axis direction. When the fifth packaging member 58 is housed in the outer box 54, it abuts against the inner peripheral surface of the outer box 54 or faces the inner peripheral surface of the outer box 54 with a small gap therebetween. This prevents the robot 12 from falling in the X-axis direction. The sixth packaging member 60 is attached to the robot 12 from the negative side in the Z-axis direction and covers the base 14 of the robot 12. The shape of the sixth packaging member 60 is the same as the shape of the third packaging member 24 of the first embodiment.

[0034] 14A and 14B are perspective views of the fifth packaging member 58. Fig. 15 is a view from the Y-axis direction positive side showing how the fifth packaging member 58 is attached to the robot 12. At this time, the robot 12 is in a packaging posture, and the axial direction of the link 62 approximately coincides with the Y-axis direction.

[0035] As shown in Fig. 14A and Fig. 14B, the fifth packaging member 58 is formed by folding a sheet of cardboard so as to have a hollow portion inside. Both ends of the folded cardboard are fixed to each other at two points by fasteners 61. The fasteners 61 are exposed to the outside on the top surface (the surface on the positive side in the Z-axis direction) of the fifth packaging member 58. The top surface of the fifth packaging member 58 does not come into contact with the robot 12 when the fifth packaging member 58 is attached to the robot 12. By arranging the fasteners 61 on the top surface of the fifth packaging member 58, damage to the robot 12 can be suppressed.

[0036] Grip portions 64, 66 that penetrate the cardboard are formed on the Y axis direction positive side surface and the Y axis direction negative side surface of the fifth packaging member 58, respectively.

[0037] The fifth packaging member 58 has an insertion portion 68 recessed from the surface on the positive side in the Z-axis direction. When the fifth packaging member 58 is attached to the robot 12, the link 62 is inserted into the insertion portion 68. The insertion portion 68 is formed so that the length (depth) in the Z-axis direction is sufficiently longer than the diameter of the link 62. As a result, when the fifth packaging member 58 is attached to the robot 12, the link 62 inserted into the insertion portion 68 is located on the negative side in the Z-axis direction from the surface on the positive side in the Z-axis direction of the fifth packaging member 58. Also, the insertion portion 68 is formed so that the length (width) in the X-axis direction is slightly longer than the diameter of the link 62. As a result, when the fifth packaging member 58 is attached to the robot 12, the link 62 can be easily inserted into the insertion portion 68. Furthermore, when the fifth packaging member 58 is housed in the outer box 54 together with the robot 12, rattling of the robot 12 in the X-axis direction can be suppressed.

[0038] As shown in FIG. 15, the fifth packaging member 58 has an inclined portion 70 that is inclined with respect to the direction of gravity (Z-axis direction) from the side surface to the bottom surface of the fifth packaging member 58. When the fifth packaging member 58 is attached to the robot 12, the link 62 is inserted into the insertion portion 68 from a diagonal direction with respect to the Z-axis direction, as shown by the dotted line in FIG. 15. Thereafter, the fifth packaging member 58 is rotated around the link 62 as an axis, and the fifth packaging member 58 is attached to the robot 12. When the fifth packaging member 58 rotates around the link 62 as an axis, the inclined portion 70 can avoid the surface of the base 14 on the positive side in the Z-axis direction. Therefore, it is possible to ensure a distance between the bottom surface (surface on the negative side in the Z-axis direction) of the insertion portion 68 and the bottom surface (surface on the negative side in the Z-axis direction) of the fifth packaging member 58. This makes it possible to suppress rattling of the fifth packaging member 58 in the Z-axis direction with respect to the robot 12.

[0039] 15, the length (width) in the X-axis direction of the fifth packaging member 58 is longer than the length (width) in the X-axis direction of the robot 12 in the packing posture. As a result, when a force in the X-axis direction acts on the packaging material 52, the fifth packaging member 58 receives the force before the robot 12, thereby suppressing damage to the robot 12.

[0040] 16 is a diagram showing a state in which the robot 12 is lifted by the workers 50. The robot 12 is lifted by two workers 50. The workers 50 grip the gripping portions 64, 66 of the fifth packaging member 58 and lift the fifth packaging member 58. At this time, the bottom surface (the surface on the negative side in the Z-axis direction) of the insertion portion 68 supports the link 62 from below, and the robot 12 is lifted together with the fifth packaging member 58.

[0041] 17A to 17D and 18A to 18D are diagrams showing the procedure for installing the robot 12 on the pedestal 40. As shown in FIG.

[0042] 17A, the packaging material 52 is placed in a sideways state near the stand 40 on which the robot 12 is installed. First, as shown in FIG 17B, the packaging material 52 is raised so that the outer box 54 is on top, and the packaging bands 63 wound around the outer box 54 and the sixth packaging member 60 are removed.

[0043] Thereafter, as shown in Fig. 17C, the outer box 54 is lifted up, and the robot 12 is removed from the outer box 54. Thereafter, as shown in Fig. 17D, the fourth packaging member 56 attached to the link 62 of the robot 12 is removed.

[0044] 18A, the worker 50 grasps the gripping portions 64, 66 of the fifth packaging member 58 and lifts up the robot 12 together with the fifth packaging member 58. At this time, the sixth packaging member 60 comes off the base 14 of the robot 12 and remains on the ground.

[0045] 18B, the robot 12 with the fifth packaging member 58 attached is installed on the stand 40 by an operator 50. With the fifth packaging member 58 attached to the robot 12, the base 14 is exposed to the outside, and therefore the base 14 can be fixed to the stand 40 with the bolts 48 in this state.

[0046] As shown in Fig. 18C, the worker 50 removes the fifth packaging member 58 from the robot 12. This completes the installation of the robot 12 on the stand 40 as shown in Fig. 18D.

[0047] [Effects] In the packaging material 52 of this embodiment, the fifth packaging member 58 is inserted between the link 62 of the robot 12 and the base 14. As a result, when the worker 50 grasps the gripping portions 64, 66 of the fifth packaging member 58 and lifts the fifth packaging member 58, the robot 12 is lifted with the fifth packaging member 58 supporting the link 62 from below.

[0048] In addition, in the packaging material 52 of this embodiment, when the robot 12 to which the fifth packaging member 58 is attached is viewed from the axial direction of the link 62, the width of the fifth packaging member 58 is longer than the width of the robot 12 in the packaging posture. As a result, when a force in the width direction acts on the packaging material 52, the fifth packaging member 58 receives the force before the robot 12, so that damage to the robot 12 can be suppressed.

[0049] In the packaging material 52 of this embodiment, the fifth packaging member 58 has an insertion portion 68 formed by recessing from the upper surface and into which the link 62 is inserted. This allows the fifth packaging member 58 to support the link 62 in a state in which movement of the link 62 relative to the fifth packaging member 58 is restricted.

[0050] Furthermore, in the packaging material 52 of this embodiment, the insertion portion 68 of the fifth packaging member 58 is formed so that its length in the depth direction is longer than the diameter of the link 62. This makes it possible for the link 62 inserted into the insertion portion 68 to be positioned below the upper surface of the fifth packaging member 58 when the fifth packaging member 58 is attached to the robot 12. When a force acts on the upper surface of the outer box 54 while the robot 12 is packed in the packaging material 52, the fifth packaging member 58 receives the force before the robot 12, so damage to the robot 12 can be suppressed.

[0051] In addition, in the packaging material 52 of this embodiment, when viewed from the axial direction of the link 62, the fifth packaging member 58 has an inclined portion 70 that is inclined with respect to the direction of gravity from the side surface to the bottom surface. When the fifth packaging member 58 is attached to the robot 12, the inclined portion 70 can avoid the upper surface of the base 14. This makes it possible to ensure a distance between the bottom surface of the insertion portion 68 and the bottom surface of the fifth packaging member 58, and thus makes it possible to suppress rattling of the fifth packaging member 58 in the vertical direction relative to the robot 12.

[0052] [Technical Idea Obtained from the Embodiments] The technical ideas that can be understood from the above-described embodiments will be described below.

[0053] A packaging material (10, 52) for packaging a multi-joint robot (12), the packaging material having a first support member (20, 22, 58) for supporting the multi-joint robot with a base (14) of the multi-joint robot exposed, the first support member having an attachment portion (26) to which a mounting member (42) of a lifting device (44) is attached so that the lifting device can lift the multi-joint robot together with the first support member, or a gripping portion (28, 34, 64, 66) gripped by a worker (50) so that the worker can lift the multi-joint robot together with the first support member.

[0054] The above-mentioned packaging material may be configured to package the articulated robot in a state in which one link (62) of a manipulator (16) of the articulated robot is positioned above the base and is in a packaging posture in which the axial direction of the one link is approximately aligned with a direction perpendicular to the direction of gravity, and the first support member may be inserted between the one link and the base.

[0055] In the above packaging material, when viewed from the axial direction of the one link, the width of the first support member may be formed longer than the width of the articulated robot in the packing posture.

[0056] In the above packaging material, the first support member may have an insertion portion (68) formed with a recess on an upper surface thereof and into which the one link is inserted.

[0057] In the above packaging material, the insertion portion may be formed so that a length in a depth direction is longer than a diameter of the one link.

[0058] In the above packaging material, when viewed from the axial direction of the one link, the first support member may have an inclined portion (70) formed from the side surface to the lower surface and inclined with respect to the direction of gravity.

[0059] In the above packaging material, the first support member may have a housing portion (30, 36) for housing the articulated robot therein.

[0060] The above-mentioned packaging material may have a second support member (24, 60) that supports the articulated robot while covering the base, and the second support member may be formed in a shape that allows the second support member to come off the base when the first support member is lifted together with the articulated robot or when the first support member is lifted together with the articulated robot.

[0061] In the above packaging material, the second support member may be formed in a shape that supports the articulated robot so that the robot can stand on its own.
