[0012] Hereinafter, embodiments for carrying out the present invention will be described with reference to the drawings. However, the embodiments described below are limited in a manner that is technically preferable for carrying out the present invention, but the scope of the invention is not limited to the following. In all drawings used to describe the following embodiments, the same reference numerals are used for similar parts unless otherwise specified. Furthermore, in the following embodiments, repeated explanations of similar configurations and operations may be omitted.

[0013] First Embodiment First, a management device according to a first embodiment will be described with reference to the drawings. The management device of this embodiment forms an aerial transport path (hereinafter also referred to as a transport path) indoors that is used by a drone to transport luggage. The drone navigates autonomously (also referred to as autonomous navigation) on the transport path formed by the management device. The drone may be configured to navigate the transport path in response to control from the management device. In this embodiment, an example is shown in which a transport path is formed inside an office building.

[0014] In the following, an example will be given in which a flying drone flies along a transport path formed indoors. As long as the drone is capable of navigating, there are no particular limitations on the area in which the transport path is formed. The drone is not limited to a flying drone, but may also be one that travels on the ground or one that navigates on the surface or underwater of water. The drone is not limited to an unmanned aerial vehicle, but may also be a flying vehicle that can accommodate a person. Furthermore, the transport path may be formed not only indoors but also outdoors.

[0015] 1 is a block diagram showing an example of the configuration of a management device 10 according to this embodiment. The management device 10 includes a receiving unit 11, a determining unit 12, a transport path forming unit 13, a forming information output unit 14, and a received information output unit 15.

[0016] The reception unit 11 receives transport information 111 corresponding to an application to use a transport route formed indoors. The transport information 111 is input via a terminal device (not shown). For example, the transport information 111 is input by a user who wishes to transport luggage. For example, the transport information 111 may be input by an operator such as a luggage transporter. The reception unit 11 outputs the received transport information 111 to the determination unit 12.

[0017] FIG. 2 illustrates an example of delivery information 111 received by the management device 10. The delivery information 111 in FIG. 2 is a request to use a delivery route to deliver document P from a sender in office A to a recipient in office B. The delivery information 111 in FIG. 2 includes a requester code, a delivery source, a delivery destination, and a package. The requester code (also referred to as a user code) is an identification code that can identify an individual, such as the sender's user ID (identifier), registration number, employee number, or name. In the example of FIG. 2, the requester code is entered with the sender's identification code "123...321." The delivery source is the departure point of the package to be delivered. In the example of FIG. 2, the location of the sender in office A with the identification code "123...321" is the delivery source. The delivery destination is the destination to which the package will be delivered. In the example of FIG. 2, the location of the recipient in office B with the identification code "456...654" is the delivery destination. The package is the package to be delivered. In the example of Figure 2, document P is a package. The transport information may include a sender code, a transport source, a transport destination, and additional information other than the package. For example, the transport information may include a desired transport route to be used, a desired time for the transport route to be established, and additional information related to the package to be transported. For example, the additional information related to the package may include the weight and size of the package. For example, the additional information related to the package may include information on how to handle the package, such as whether the package is fragile, dangerous, or valuable. There are no limitations on the additional information included in the transport information. For example, the additional information is input by a user who wishes to transport the package or an operator such as a package transporter.

[0018] The determination unit 12 acquires transport information 111 from the reception unit 11. The determination unit 12 determines whether a transport path can be formed based on the transport information 111. For example, if it is possible / impossible to form a transport path from the transport source to the transport destination, the determination unit 12 determines whether it is possible / impossible to form a transport path. For example, if it is possible / impossible to transport the package to be transported, the determination unit 12 determines whether it is possible / impossible to form a transport path. If it is possible to form a transport path, the determination unit 12 outputs an instruction to form a transport path to the transport path formation unit 13. The instruction to form a transport path includes the start point and end point of the transport path. In the example of FIG. 2 , the transport source corresponds to the start point, and the transport destination corresponds to the end point. If it is impossible to form a transport path, the determination unit 12 does not output an instruction to form a transport path to the transport path formation unit 13. Furthermore, regardless of whether it is possible / impossible to form a transport path, the determination unit 12 outputs reception information 115 including the determination result of whether it is possible / impossible to form a transport path to the reception information output unit 15.

[0019] The determination unit 12 may determine whether or not a transport path can be formed, depending on the additional information included in the transport information. For example, if the transport path desired to be used is included in the additional information, the determination unit 12 determines whether or not a transport path can be formed, depending on the usage status of the transport path. If the transport path desired to be used has available space, the determination unit 12 determines that the transport path can be formed. On the other hand, if the transport path desired to be used does not have available space, the determination unit 12 determines that the transport path cannot be formed. If the transport path desired to be used does not have available space, the determination unit 12 may recommend the use of an alternative transport path.

[0020] For example, if the additional information includes a desired time for forming a transport path, the determination unit 12 determines whether or not the transport path can be formed based on the usage status of the transport path during a time period including the desired time for formation. If the transport path is available at the desired time for formation of the transport path, the determination unit 12 determines that the transport path can be formed. On the other hand, if the transport path is congested or there are no available drones at the desired time for formation of the transport path, the determination unit 12 determines that the transport path cannot be formed.

[0021] For example, if the type of luggage is included in the supplemental information, the determination unit 12 determines whether a transport path can be formed based on the type of luggage. For example, the determination unit 12 determines whether a transport path can be formed based on the weight of the luggage. If the weight of the luggage is less than the weight that can be transported by a drone, the determination unit 12 determines that a transport path can be formed. On the other hand, if the weight of the luggage is equal to or greater than the weight that can be transported by a drone, the determination unit 12 determines that a transport path cannot be formed. For example, the determination unit 12 determines whether a transport path can be formed based on the size of the luggage. If the luggage is smaller than the size that can be used for the transport path, the determination unit 12 determines that a transport path can be formed. On the other hand, if the luggage is larger than the size that can be used for the transport path, the determination unit 12 determines that a transport path cannot be formed. For example, if the luggage is fragile, dangerous, or valuable, the determination unit 12 determines that a transport path cannot be formed.

[0022] The transport path forming unit 13 acquires a transport path formation instruction from the determination unit 12. The transport path forming unit 13 generates transport path formation information in response to the transport path formation instruction. The transport path forming unit 13 generates formation information for forming a transport path between the start point and end point included in the transport path formation instruction. The formation information includes the start point, route, and end point of the transport path. The transport path forming unit 13 outputs the generated formation information to the formation information output unit 14.

[0023] FIG. 3 is a conceptual diagram of an indoor space where a transport path is formed, viewed from above. Multiple guide lights 140 are arranged along the route where the transport path is formed. The multiple guide lights 140 are arranged in positions where they can be captured by a camera mounted on a drone using the transport path. For example, the multiple guide lights 140 are arranged on the ceiling, wall, floor, etc. The locations where the multiple guide lights 140 are arranged are not particularly limited, as long as they are in positions where they can be captured by a drone's camera. FIG. 3 shows office A, office B, a convenience store, and a cafeteria as locations that can be selected as the source / destination. The locations that can be selected as the source / destination can be set arbitrarily as long as multiple guide lights 140 can be placed along the route. Although not shown in FIG. 3 , communication devices for wireless communication using communication methods such as Bluetooth (registered trademark) and Wi-Fi (registered trademark) are arranged indoors where the transport path is formed. A management-side terminal device (not shown) that manages the management device 10 and the drones transmit and receive wireless signals to and from each other via wireless communication. There are no particular restrictions on the communication method between the management terminal device and the drone, as long as it can be used indoors.

[0024] 3 illustrates the management device 10. The management device 10 is connected to the emergency light 140 by wired communication via a cable or wireless communication via a wireless signal. There are no particular limitations on the location where the management device 10 is installed. For example, the management device 10 may be implemented in a cloud or a server, or may be installed near the emergency light 140.

[0025] The formation information output unit 14 acquires the formation information from the transport path formation unit 13. The formation information output unit 14 outputs the acquired formation information to guide lights 140 located on the route along which the transport path is formed. The guide lights 140 that have acquired the formation information turn on in accordance with the formation information.

[0026] FIG. 4 is a conceptual diagram showing an example in which a transport path is formed by illuminating guide lights 140 that have acquired formation information in accordance with the formation information. In the example of FIG. 4 , a transport path is formed between office A and office B. To make the direction of travel clear, guide light 140L located on the left side of the direction of travel from office A to office B and guide light 140R located on the right side of the direction of travel are lit in different colors. For example, guide light 140L is lit in green and guide light 140R is lit in red. The drone can navigate the transport path from office A to office B by following at least one of guide lights 140L and 140R.

[0027] In the example of Figure 4, the transport path is hatched, but there is no change in the floor surface below the transport path before and after the transport path is formed. Note that when the transport path is formed, light may be projected onto the floor surface below the transport path. For example, a projector may be installed indoors where the transport path is formed, and light may be projected from the projector onto the floor surface. In this case, the drone can navigate the transport path based on the light projected onto the floor surface below the transport path.

[0028] The reception information output unit 15 acquires reception information 115 including the determination result of whether or not the transport path can be formed from the determination unit 12. The reception information output unit 15 transmits the acquired reception information 115 to a terminal device used by the requester of the transport information 111.

[0029] FIG. 5 is an example of the reception information 115. FIG. 5 shows the reception information 115 for the delivery information 111 in FIG. 2. The reception information 115 in FIG. 5 includes a determination result such as "The following application for use has been accepted." Although FIG. 5 also shows the delivery information 111 in FIG. 2, the delivery information 111 does not necessarily need to be included in the reception information 115. The reception information 115 in FIG. 5 also includes the scheduled collection and delivery time of the package (11:30 AM). For example, at the scheduled collection and delivery time (11:30 AM), a drone transporting the package and a person loading the package onto the drone arrive at the location of the requester (123...321) at office A, which is the source of the package. Once the package (document P) to be transported by the requester (123...321) is loaded onto the drone, the drone travels along the transport route toward the recipient (456...654) at office B, which is the destination of the package. A drone using the transport route follows the lit guide lights 140 and moves from the starting point, which is the source of the transport, to the end point, which is the destination of the transport.

[0030] [Drone] Next, an example of a drone that uses a transport path will be described with reference to the drawings. FIGS. 6 and 7 are conceptual diagrams showing an example of the configuration of a drone 100 that uses a transport path. FIG. 6 is a block diagram for explaining the functional configuration of the drone 100. FIG. 7 is a top view of the drone 100. Side views, rear views, bottom views, oblique views, etc. of the drone 100 are omitted. For example, the drone 100 is equipped with an RID (Remote Identification) device that transmits transmission information including a registration number, a serial number, location information, time, and authentication information.

[0031] The drone 100 includes a main body 101, a propeller 102, a control unit 103, a motor 104, a camera 105, a communication unit 106, a transmission information generation unit 107, and a power supply 109. The control unit 103, the communication unit 106, the transmission information generation unit 107, and the power supply 109 are stored inside the main body 101. Most of the camera 105, except for the lens, is stored inside the main body 101. FIG. 7 shows the lens portion of the camera 105 on the top of the main body 101. The drone 100 also has a cargo transport function (not shown). For example, the drone 100 transports cargo by storing the cargo inside the main body 101, hanging the cargo from the main body 101, or placing the cargo on the main body 101. When placing the cargo on the top of the main body 101, the camera 105 may be detached from the main body 101 and attached above or around the cargo.

[0032] The main body 101 is a housing that houses the control unit 103, the camera 105, the communication unit 106, the transmission information generation unit 107, the power supply 109, etc. At least one propeller 102 for flying the drone 100 is attached to the main body 101. For example, the main body 101 may be provided with a space for storing cargo therein, a mechanism for hanging cargo, a place for placing cargo on top, etc., depending on the application. There are no particular limitations on the shape or material of the main body 101.

[0033] The propeller 102 is a mechanism that causes the drone 100 to fly. The propeller 102 is also called a rotor or a rotating blade. The propeller 102 is rotatably fixed to the main body 101 by an arm 120. The propeller 102 is a blade that causes the main body 101 to lift by rotating. The propeller 102 is equipped with a motor 104 for rotating the propeller 102. The size and attachment position of the propeller 102 in FIG. 7 are not fully designed for flying the drone 100, but are merely conceptual. In the example of FIG. 7, four propellers 102 are installed on the main body 101 of the drone 100. The rotation speeds of the multiple propellers 102 are controlled independently of each other.

[0034] 7 shows an example of a quadcopter equipped with four propellers 102. The drone 100 may be equipped with a single propeller 102, or may be a multicopter equipped with multiple propellers 102. Considering attitude stability in the air and flight performance, it is preferable that the drone 100 be a multicopter equipped with multiple propellers 102. When the drone 100 is equipped with multiple propellers 102, the propellers 102 may be of different sizes. Furthermore, the planes of rotation of the multiple propellers 102 may be different from one another.

[0035] A motor 104 is installed on each of the multiple propellers 102. The motor 104 is a drive mechanism for rotating the propellers 102. The motor 104 rotates the propellers 102 in accordance with the control of the control unit 103.

[0036] The control unit 103 is a control device that controls the drone 100. For example, the control unit 103 is realized by a control device such as a microcomputer or a microcontroller. The control unit 103 controls the rotation of the propellers 102. The control unit 103 controls the rotation speed of each propeller 102 by controlling the drive of the motor 104 for each propeller 102.

[0037] The control unit 103 controls the navigation of the drone 100 by controlling the rotation speed of each propeller 102 according to features included in the image captured by the camera 105. For example, the control unit 103 may cause the drone 100 to navigate by controlling the rotation of the propellers 102 according to a preset navigation route. For example, the control unit 103 may cause the drone 100 to navigate by controlling the rotation of the propellers 102 according to preset flight conditions. For example, the flight conditions are conditions in which the operations to be performed by the drone 100 are summarized in a table format. The navigation route and flight conditions may be stored in a storage unit (not shown).

[0038] The control unit 103 controls the camera 105 to capture an image. The control unit 103 causes the camera 105 to capture an image at a predetermined timing. The control unit 103 acquires the image captured by the camera 105. When the image is to be provided to the management side of the transport path, the control unit 103 outputs the acquired image to the communication unit 106.

[0039] While the drone 100 is traveling within the transport path, the control unit 103 controls the rotation of the propeller 102 based on the positions of the guide lights 140 included in the image captured by the camera 105. The control unit 103 controls the rotation of the propeller 102 so that the drone 100 navigates the transport path according to the positions of the guide lights 140 lit in the color to be referenced. For example, the control unit 103 controls the rotation of the propeller 102 so that the drone 100 navigates the transport path according to the positions of multiple guide lights 140L arranged on the left side of the direction of travel of the transport path. For example, the control unit 103 controls the rotation of the propeller 102 so that the drone 100 navigates the transport path according to the positions of multiple guide lights 140R arranged on the right side of the direction of travel of the transport path. For example, the control unit 103 controls the rotation of the propeller 102 so that the drone 100 navigates the transport path according to the positions of multiple guide lights 140L and 140R arranged on both sides of the direction of travel of the transport path.

[0040] The camera 105 is disposed to capture images of the surroundings of the drone 100. In the case of FIG. 7 , the camera 105 is installed above the drone 100. The camera 105 captures images of the surroundings of the drone 100. For example, multiple cameras 105 may be mounted on the drone 100 to capture images in front of, to the sides of, or below the drone 100. For example, the camera 105 may be disposed in a location where it can capture images in multiple directions by changing the drone 100's aerial orientation. The camera 105 captures images under the control of the control unit 103. The camera 105 outputs captured image data (also referred to as images) to the control unit 103. The camera 105 incorporates a lens for capturing images. The lens is preferably a zoom lens with a variable focal length. The lens may be provided with a protective member such as a protective film or protective glass. The camera 105 is preferably equipped with an autofocus function that automatically adjusts focus. The camera 105 is also preferably equipped with functions commonly used in digital cameras, such as a function to prevent camera shake. A detailed description of the structure of the camera 105 will be omitted.

[0041] The transmission information generation unit 107 generates transmission information unique to the drone 100. The transmission information includes unchanging information and variable information. The transmission information generation unit 107 generates transmission information including unchanging information and variable information at a predetermined cycle. For example, the transmission information generation unit 107 generates transmission information at a predetermined cycle of approximately three times per second. The unchanging information includes the drone 100's registration information, serial number, authentication information, etc. The unchanging information may be stored in a storage unit (not shown). The variable information includes location information and time. For example, the transmission information generation unit 107 generates location information using data collected by a positioning system such as a GPS (Global Positioning System). The transmission information generation unit 107 may acquire location information of a location measurement device (not shown) installed near the transport path from the location measurement device. If the drone 100 is equipped with sensors capable of identifying its flight position, the transmission information generation unit 107 may generate location information using data collected by the sensors. Such sensors include, for example, a geomagnetic sensor, an acceleration sensor, a speed sensor, an altitude sensor, a distance measurement sensor, etc. The transmission information generation unit 107 outputs the generated transmission information to the communication unit 106.

[0042] The communication unit 106 receives wireless signals transmitted from the management side. The communication unit 106 also acquires signals containing transmission information generated by the transmission information generation unit 107 and images captured by the camera 105. The transmission information includes the drone 100's registration information, serial number, location information, time, authentication information (also referred to as identification information), and the like. The drone 100's registration information, serial number, authentication information, and the like are information that does not change while the transport path is in use (also referred to as unchanging information). The location information and time are information that is updated as needed (also referred to as variable information). The communication unit 106 transmits signals containing the transmission information and images. For example, the communication unit 106 transmits signals at a transmission cycle of at least once per second using a communication method such as Bluetooth (registered trademark) or Wi-Fi (registered trademark). The signals transmitted from the communication unit 106 are received by the management device 10.

[0043] The power supply 109 is a general secondary battery with a charging function. The power supply 109 is the power source for the drone 100. There are no particular limitations on the power supply 109 as long as it allows the drone 100 to navigate the transport route. For example, it is preferable that the power supply 109 be capable of controlling charging to the power supply 109 and monitoring the charge level of the power supply 109.

[0044] [Control Unit] Next, a detailed description will be given of the configuration of the control unit 103 mounted on the drone 100. Fig. 8 is a block diagram showing an example of the configuration of the control unit 103. The control unit 103 has an imaging control unit 131, a detection unit 132, a calculation unit 133, a control condition generation unit 134, and a control condition setting unit 135.

[0045] The imaging control unit 131 controls the camera 105 to capture images. The imaging control unit 131 causes the camera 105 to capture images at predetermined timing. The imaging control unit 131 acquires images captured by the camera 105. The imaging control unit 131 outputs the acquired images to the detection unit 132. When providing images to the transport path management side, the imaging control unit 131 outputs the acquired images to the communication unit 106. The imaging conditions for the images used by the imaging control unit 131 and the imaging conditions for the images output to the communication unit 106 may be set to different conditions. For example, the imaging conditions for the images used by the imaging control unit 131 are set to a condition in which images are captured frequently at a low resolution sufficient to detect the position of the guide light 140. For example, the imaging conditions for the images output to the communication unit 106 are set to a condition in which images are captured infrequently at a high resolution sufficient to verify the situation around the drone 100. Setting the imaging conditions in this manner makes it possible to separate information required for flight control from information required for verifying the surrounding situation.

[0046] The detection unit 132 acquires an image captured by the camera 105 from the imaging control unit 131. The detection unit 132 detects the illumination of the guide lights 140 from the acquired image. The detection unit 132 extracts the illumination color of the guide light 140 to be referenced from the illumination of the detected guide lights 140. For example, the guide light 140L on the left side of the traveling direction of the transport path is illuminated green, and the guide light 140R on the right side of the traveling direction of the transport path is illuminated red. The detection unit 132 identifies the positions of the guide lights 140 and the drone (drone 100) in the area where the transport path is formed based on the illumination of the guide lights 140 extracted from the image. The detection unit 132 outputs the positions of the guide lights 140 and the drone (drone 100) extracted from the image to the calculation unit 133.

[0047] For example, the detection unit 132 determines the position of the drone 100 on the transport path according to the lighting color (green) of the guide light 140L on the left side of the transport path. For example, the detection unit 132 determines the position of the drone 100 on the transport path according to the lighting color (red) of the guide light 140R on the right side of the transport path. The detection unit 132 may also determine the position of the drone 100 on the transport path according to the lighting colors (green, red) of the guide lights 140 on both sides.

[0048] The detection unit 132 may identify the position of the drone (100) not only based on the lighting color of the guide light 140 but also based on features extracted from the image. For example, the detection unit 132 may identify the position of the drone (100) based on features of the ceiling, wall, floor, etc. extracted from the image. For example, the detection unit 132 may identify the position of the drone (100) based on features of doors, lights, desks, chairs, vending machines, emergency lights, etc. extracted from the image.

[0049] The calculation unit 133 acquires the positions of the guide light 140 and the drone 100 itself from the detection unit 132. If the drone 100 itself has a function for receiving a GPS (Global Positioning System) signal, the calculation unit 133 may acquire position information contained in the GPS signal. The calculation unit 133 calculates the positional relationship between the guide light 140 and the drone 100 itself based on the acquired positions of the guide light 140 and the drone 100 itself. The positional relationship calculated by the calculation unit 133 includes the distance between the guide light 140 and the drone 100 itself. The calculation unit 133 calculates the distance between the guide light 140 and the drone 100 identified by the detection unit 132. For example, the control timing of the drone 100 is set at a time interval that allows the drone 100 to safely and autonomously navigate the transport path. The control timing of the drone 100 may be common to all drones 100 navigating the transport path or may differ for each drone 100.

[0050] For example, the calculation unit 133 calculates the distance between the drone 100 and the emergency light 140 that is closest to the drone 100. For example, the calculation unit 133 calculates the distance between a straight line that passes through two emergency lights 140 that are close to the drone 100 and the drone 100. For example, the calculation unit 133 calculates the distance between a curve that smoothly connects multiple emergency lights 140 identified from the image and the drone 100. There are no particular limitations on the method of calculating the distance between the emergency light 140 and the drone 100, as long as the drone 100 can navigate the transport route.

[0051] The distance (also referred to as the designated distance) of the drone 100 from the guide light 140 is set in advance for each drone 100 using the transport route. The designated distance may be changed depending on the usage status of the transport route. For example, the designated distance is defined by a minimum designated distance and a maximum designated distance. The drone 100 navigates within a range (also referred to as a designated range) that is within the minimum designated distance and maximum designated distance set for each drone 100. For example, the minimum designated distance is set to the part closest to the guide light 140 for each drone 100. For example, the maximum designated distance is set to the part farthest from the guide light 140 for each drone 100. For example, the minimum designated distance and the maximum designated distance may be set to the center of the drone 100 or some other part.

[0052] The calculation unit 133 calculates the position of the drone 100 at the next control timing (also referred to as the predicted arrival position). For example, the calculation unit 133 calculates the position of the drone 100 if it continues to fly in the direction / speed at the image capture timing as the predicted arrival position. The calculation unit 133 also calculates the target position of the drone 100 at the next control timing (also referred to as the control target position). The control target position is set within the specified range. For example, the control target position is set along the midline between the boundary line of the minimum specified distance and the boundary line of the maximum specified distance. The calculation unit 133 outputs the calculated predicted arrival position and control target position to the control condition generation unit 134.

[0053] The control condition generation unit 134 acquires the predicted arrival position and the control target position calculated by the calculation unit 133. The control condition generation unit 134 generates control conditions for controlling the drone 100 from the predicted arrival position toward the control target position. The control conditions are conditions for rotating the propellers 102 that fly the drone 100. The control condition generation unit 134 calculates the traveling direction / speed of the drone 100 according to the traveling direction / speed from the predicted arrival position. The control condition generation unit 134 sets the rotation speed of the multiple propellers 102 according to the traveling direction / speed. The control condition generation unit 134 outputs the generated control conditions to the control condition setting unit 135.

[0054] The control condition setting unit 135 acquires the control conditions from the control condition generation unit 134. The control condition setting unit 135 sets the control conditions for the motor 104 at the next control timing following the image capture timing. The motor 104 is driven in accordance with the control conditions, thereby controlling the number of rotations of each propeller 102. As a result, the drone 100 travels in a direction / speed according to the control conditions.

[0055] 9 is a conceptual diagram showing an example of a drone 100 navigating a transport path formed indoors. Multiple guide lights 140 are arranged on the ceiling. Guide light 140L on the left side of the direction of travel of the transport path and guide light 140R on the right side of the direction of travel of the transport path are lit in different colors. In the example of FIG. 9, the drone 100 flies while referring to guide light 140L on the left side of the direction of travel of the transport path.

[0056] 10 is a conceptual diagram showing an example of drone 100 moving along a transport path formed between office A and office B. Drone 100 moves along the transport path from office A to office B while referring to guide light 140L located on the left side of the transport path's traveling direction and guide light 140R located on the right side of the transport path's traveling direction.

[0057] 11 is a conceptual diagram showing an example of a drone 100 moving along a transport path formed between office A and a shop. Drone 100 moves along the transport path from office A toward the shop while referring to guide light 140L located on the left side of the direction of travel of the transport path and guide light 140R located on the right side of the direction of travel of the transport path.

[0058] 10 and 11 , the management device 10 appropriately forms a transport path at a location where a guide light 140 is located in response to receipt of transport information 111. When a transport path is formed, the guide light 140 is lit, so that people using the space where the transport path is formed can recognize that a transport path has been formed. On the other hand, when a transport path is not formed, the guide light 140 is not lit, so that people using the space where the transport path is formed recognize the space as a normal indoor space. Note that even when a transport path is not formed, the guide light 140 may be lit in a color different from that when a transport path is formed.

[0059] FIG. 12 is a conceptual diagram showing another example of a drone 100 navigating a transport path formed indoors. FIG. 12 shows an example in which a transport path is formed across multiple floors of a building. For example, the transport path is formed across multiple floors of a building via elevators and stairs. In the example of FIG. 12 , the drone 100 flies while referring to the guide light 140L on the left side of the direction of travel of the transport path. An elevator door is located on the right side of the direction of travel of the transport path. A guide light 140E is located above the elevator door. In the example of FIG. 12 , the guide light 140E is lit in a color different from the guide lights 140L and 140R. For example, the guide light 140L is lit in green, the guide light 140R is lit in red, and the guide light 140E is lit in yellow.

[0060] When the drone 100 detects an exit light 140E indicating the location of an elevator, it proceeds downward from the exit light 140E. Normal elevator use is suspended during the period when a transport path is formed. During the period when a transport path is formed, a car carrying people or luggage is stopped at a floor outside the transport path. For example, the elevator car is controlled by a management side that manages the transport path. For example, the elevator car may be controlled to stop so as to avoid the transport path according to the transport path formation information. Note that the elevator may be available for use at floors that do not include a transport path.

[0061] (Operation) Next, an example of the operation of the management device 10 that forms the transport path and the operation of the drone 100 that uses the transport path will be described with reference to the drawings. Below, the operations of the management device 10 and the drone 100 will be described using a flowchart. With regard to the operation of the drone 100, the operation of the control unit 103 included in the drone 100 will be described.

[0062] [Management Device] Fig. 13 is a flowchart for explaining an example of the operation of the management device 10. In the explanation following the flowchart of Fig. 13, the management device 10 will be described as the subject of the operation.

[0063] In FIG. 13, first, the management device 10 receives transport information 111 from a client requesting transport of a package using a transport route (step S11).

[0064] The management device 10 determines whether a transport path can be formed based on the received transport information 111 (step S12). If a transport path can be formed (Yes in step S12), the management device 10 generates transport path formation information (step S13). On the other hand, if a transport path cannot be formed (No in step S12), the management device 10 proceeds to step S15.

[0065] After step S13, the management device 10 outputs transport path formation information 113 to the guide lights 140 installed on the transport path corresponding to the transport information 111 (step S14). The guide lights 140 are turned on in accordance with the formation information 113, thereby forming the transport path corresponding to the transport information 111.

[0066] After step S14 or if step S12 is No, the management device 10 generates reception information 115 according to the determination result (step S15). After step S14, the management device 10 generates reception information 115 indicating that the delivery information 111 has been accepted. On the other hand, if step S12 is No, the management device 10 generates reception information 115 indicating that the delivery information 111 has not been accepted.

[0067] Next, the management device 10 outputs the generated reception information 115 to the requester of the transport information 111 (step S16). The requester user who has viewed the reception information 115 can take action in accordance with the reception information 115. For example, if a transport route is formed, the requester user loads the cargo to be transported onto the drone 100 by a specified time. For example, if a transport route is not formed, the requester user transports the cargo to be transported by a means that does not use the transport route.

[0068] The order of generating / outputting the transport path formation information and generating / outputting the reception information may be reversed. For example, steps S15 to S16 may be executed before steps S13 to S14. Furthermore, steps S13 to S14 and steps S15 to S16 may be executed in parallel.

[0069] [Drone] Fig. 14 is a flowchart for explaining an example of the operation of the control unit 103 included in the drone 100. In the explanation following the flowchart of Fig. 14, the control unit 103 will be described as the subject of the operation.

[0070] 14, first, the control unit 103 controls the camera 105 mounted on the drone 100 to capture an image (step S101). The image captured by the camera 105 includes an indoor guide light 140.

[0071] Next, the control unit 103 detects whether the reference target emergency light 140 is lit from the image captured by the camera 105 by image recognition (step S102).

[0072] Next, the control unit 103 calculates the positional relationship between the drone 100 and the guide light 140 (step S103). For example, the control unit 103 calculates the distance between the drone 100 and the guide light 140 as the positional relationship between the guide light 140 and the drone 100.

[0073] Next, the control unit 103 generates a control condition according to the positional relationship between the drone 100 and the guide light 140 (step S104). The control unit 103 generates a control condition for moving from the origin to the destination.

[0074] Next, the control unit 103 outputs the generated control conditions to the motor 104 (step S105). The motor 104 is driven in accordance with the control conditions, allowing the drone 100 to proceed along the transport path. If the drone 100 has not yet arrived at the destination, after step S105, the process returns to step S101, and the drone 100 continues using the transport path.

[0075] As described above, the management device of this embodiment includes a reception unit, a determination unit, a reception information output unit, a transport path formation unit, and a formation information output unit. The reception unit receives transport information corresponding to an application to use an aerial transport path to be formed indoors. The determination unit determines whether or not an aerial transport path can be formed based on the transport information. The reception information output unit outputs reception information including a determination result regarding whether or not an aerial transport path can be formed to a requester of the transport information. The transport path formation unit generates formation information for an aerial transport path based on a determination result that the aerial transport path can be formed. The formation information output unit outputs the formation information for an aerial transport path to guide lights installed indoors to form an aerial transport path.

[0076] In this embodiment, whether or not an aerial transport path can be formed is determined based on a determination result according to the transport information. In this embodiment, if it is determined that an aerial transport path can be formed, information on the formation of the aerial transport path is output to guide lights installed indoors to form the aerial transport path. As a result, according to this embodiment, an aerial transport path can be formed indoors for use by drones to transport luggage.

[0077] In one aspect of the present embodiment, the reception unit receives transport information including the origin and destination of the package to be transported. The transport path formation unit generates formation information for turning on guide lights installed between the origin and destination. According to this aspect, an aerial transport path can be formed according to the origin and destination included in the transport information.

[0078] In one aspect of this embodiment, the receiving unit receives transport information including accompanying information. The determining unit determines whether or not to form an aerial transport path based on the accompanying information. According to this embodiment, the aerial transport path can be formed based on the accompanying information included in the transport information.

[0079] In one aspect of this embodiment, the receiving unit receives transport information including a desired transport path as supplementary information. The determining unit determines whether or not to form an aerial transport path including the desired transport path, based on the desired transport path included in the supplementary information. According to this aspect, an aerial transport path can be formed based on not only the transport source and transport destination, but also the desired transport path.

[0080] In one aspect of the present embodiment, the receiving unit receives transport information including, as additional information, the type of cargo to be transported. The determining unit determines whether or not to form an aerial transport path based on the type of cargo. According to this aspect, the aerial transport path can be formed based on the type of cargo.

[0081] Second Embodiment Next, a management device according to a second embodiment will be described with reference to the drawings. In this embodiment, the management device identifies that a package has been loaded onto a drone, and causes the drone to transport the identified package.

[0082] 15 is a block diagram showing an example of the configuration of the management device 20 of this embodiment. The management device 20 includes a reception unit 21, a determination unit 22, a transport path formation unit 23, a formation information output unit 24, a reception information output unit 25, and an identification unit 26. The identification unit 26 acquires a detection value detected by a detector mounted on a drone, which will be described later.

[0083] The reception unit 21 has the same configuration as the reception unit 11 of the first embodiment. The reception unit 21 receives transport information 211 corresponding to an application to use a transport path formed indoors. The transport information 211 is input via a terminal device (not shown). The reception unit 21 outputs the received transport information 211 to the determination unit 22.

[0084] The determination unit 22 has the same configuration as the determination unit 12 of the first embodiment. The determination unit 22 acquires transport information 211 from the reception unit 21. The determination unit 22 determines whether or not a transport path can be formed based on the transport information 211. Regardless of whether or not it is possible to form a transport path, the determination unit 22 outputs reception information 215 including the determination result of whether or not a transport path can be formed to the reception information output unit 25. If it is possible to form a transport path, the determination unit 22 outputs an instruction to form the transport path to the transport path formation unit 23. The instruction to form the transport path includes the start point and end point of the transport path.

[0085] The reception information output unit 25 has the same configuration as the reception information output unit 15 of the first embodiment. The reception information output unit 25 acquires reception information 215 including the determination result of whether or not a transport path can be formed from the determination unit 22. The reception information output unit 25 transmits the acquired reception information 215 to a terminal device used by the requester of the transport information 211.

[0086] When the requester obtains a determination result that the formation of a transport path is possible, the cargo to be transported is loaded onto the drone. A detector (described later) is mounted on the drone. The drone outputs a detection value 216 detected by the detector mounted on the drone to the identification unit 26. Whether or not the cargo has been loaded onto the drone is identified by the identification unit 26.

[0087] The identification unit 26 acquires a detection value 216 detected by a detector mounted on the drone. The identification unit 26 identifies whether a package has been loaded onto the drone based on the acquired detection value 216. When the identification unit 26 identifies that a package has been loaded onto the drone based on the detection value 216, the identification unit 26 outputs a package loading notification to the transport path formation unit 23, notifying that a package has been loaded. The identification unit 26 may output the package loading notification to the transport path formation unit 23.

[0088] For example, the identification unit 26 acquires a detection value 216 indicating the detection of an object by a detector mounted on the drone. In this case, the detector is realized by an optical sensor or an acoustic sensor. The optical sensor detects an object in response to the blocking of light caused by the presence of luggage. The acoustic sensor detects an object in response to the reflection of sound caused by the presence of luggage. The detector is not limited to an optical sensor or an acoustic sensor as long as it can detect whether or not luggage is mounted. When the identification unit 26 acquires the detection value 216, it identifies that luggage is mounted on the drone.

[0089] For example, the identification unit 26 acquires the weight of the luggage detected by a detector mounted on the drone as the detection value 216. In this case, the detector is realized by a sensor capable of measuring weight, such as a weight sensor. When the weight of the luggage is acquired as the detection value 216, the identification unit 26 determines whether the detection value 216 (weight) matches the weight of the luggage to be transported. If the detection value 216 (weight) matches the weight of the luggage to be transported, the identification unit 26 identifies that the luggage has been loaded onto the drone. However, the detection value 216 (weight) and the weight of the luggage to be transported do not have to match completely.

[0090] For example, the identification unit 26 acquires an identification code detected by a detector mounted on the drone as the detection value 216. For example, the identification code is a two-dimensional code such as a barcode or a QR (Quick Response) code (registered trademark). In this case, the detector is realized by a code reader or a camera capable of reading the identification code. The identification code may be an array of symbols such as letters and numbers. When the identification code is acquired as the detection value 216, the identification unit 26 identifies that the luggage has been loaded if the detection value 216 matches the identification code of the luggage to be transported. The detection value 216 (identification code) and the weight of the luggage to be transported must match exactly.

[0091] The transport path forming unit 23 has the same configuration as the transport path forming unit 13 according to the first embodiment. The transport path forming unit 23 acquires a transport path formation instruction from the determination unit 22. The transport path forming unit 23 also acquires a baggage loading notification from the identification unit 26. Upon acquiring the baggage loading notification, the transport path forming unit 23 generates transport path formation information in accordance with the transport path formation instruction. The transport path forming unit 23 generates formation information for forming a transport path between the start point and end point included in the transport path formation instruction. The formation information includes the start point, route, and end point of the transport path. The transport path forming unit 23 outputs the generated formation information to the formation information output unit 24.

[0092] The formation information output unit 24 has the same configuration as the formation information output unit 24 in the first embodiment. The formation information output unit 24 acquires formation information from the transport path formation unit 23. The formation information output unit 24 outputs the acquired formation information to guide lights located on the route along which the transport path is formed. For example, the formation information output unit 24 may output the formation information in response to a baggage loading notification output from the recognition unit 26. The guide lights that have acquired the formation information turn on in response to the formation information.

[0093] [Drone] Next, an example of a drone using a transport path will be described with reference to the drawings. FIGS. 16 and 17 are conceptual diagrams showing an example of the configuration of a drone 200 using a transport path. FIG. 16 is a block diagram for explaining the functional configuration of the drone 200. FIG. 17 is a side view showing a state in which a load is loaded onto the drone 200. Top views, rear views, bottom views, oblique views, etc. of the drone 200 are omitted. For example, the drone 200 is equipped with an RID (Remote Identification) device that transmits transmission information including a registration number, a serial number, location information, time, and authentication information.

[0094] The drone 200 includes a main body 201, a propeller 202, a control unit 203, a motor 204, a camera 205, a communication unit 206, a transmission information generation unit 207, a power supply 209, and a detector 260. The control unit 203, the communication unit 206, the transmission information generation unit 207, and the power supply 209 are stored inside the main body 201. Most of the camera 205, except for the lens, is stored inside the main body 201. FIG. 17 shows an example in which the lens of the camera 205 protrudes above the drone 200. The detector 260 may be mounted inside the drone 200 or may be externally attached to the outside of the drone 200. The drone 200 also has a cargo transport function. FIG. 17 shows an example in which cargo is suspended below the drone 200. For example, the drone 200 may transport cargo by storing the cargo inside the main body 201 or by placing the cargo on the main body 201. When a load is placed on top of the main body 201, the camera 205 may be detached from the main body 201 and attached above or around the load.

[0095] The main body 201 has the same configuration as the main body 101 of the first embodiment. The main body 201 is a housing that houses a control unit 203, a camera 205, a communication unit 206, a transmission information generation unit 207, a power source 209, a detector 260, and the like. At least one propeller 202 for flying the drone 200 is attached to the main body 201. For example, the main body 201 may be provided with a space for storing luggage inside, a mechanism for hanging luggage, a place for placing luggage, and the like, depending on the application. For example, the main body 201 may have a hole that allows the detector 260 to detect luggage. There are no particular limitations on the shape or material of the main body 201.

[0096] The propeller 202 has the same configuration as the propeller 102 of the first embodiment. The propeller 202 is a mechanism that causes the drone 200 to fly. The propeller 202 is rotatably fixed to the main body 201 by an arm 220. A motor 204 for rotating the propeller 202 is installed in the propeller 202. The size and attachment position of the propeller 202 in FIG. 17 are not fully designed for flying the drone 200, but are merely conceptual.

[0097] The motor 204 has the same configuration as the motor 104 of the first embodiment. The motor 204 is installed on each of the multiple propellers 202. The motor 204 rotates the propeller 202 in accordance with the control of the control unit 203.

[0098] Detector 260 is a detection device that detects luggage carried on drone 200. When luggage is carried on drone 200, detector 260 outputs detection value 216 corresponding to the carried luggage to control unit 203. Detection value 216 output to control unit 203 is output to communication unit 206 via control unit 203. Note that detector 260 may be configured to output the detection value to communication unit 206 without going through control unit 203.

[0099] For example, detector 260 is realized by an optical sensor or an acoustic sensor. An optical sensor detects an object in response to the blocking of light caused by the loading of luggage. An acoustic sensor detects an object in response to the reflection of sound caused by the loading of luggage. Detector 260 is not limited to an optical sensor or an acoustic sensor as long as it can detect whether luggage is loaded or not. When detector 260 detects that luggage has been loaded, it outputs detection value 216 indicating that luggage has been loaded. For example, when detector 260 detects that luggage has been loaded, it outputs a flag "1" indicating that luggage has been loaded as detection value 216.

[0100] For example, the detector 260 is realized by a sensor capable of measuring weight, such as a weight sensor. When a package is loaded, the detector 260 measures the weight of the package. The detector 260 outputs the measured package weight as the detection value 216.

[0101] For example, the detector 260 is realized by a code reader or a camera capable of detecting two-dimensional codes (identification codes) such as barcodes and QR (Quick Response) codes (registered trademark). For example, the identification code may be an array of symbols such as letters and numbers. When a package is loaded, the detector 260 reads the identification code of the loaded package. The detector 260 outputs the read identification code as the detection value 216.

[0102] The control unit 203 has the same configuration as the control unit 103 of the first embodiment. The control unit 203 is a control device that controls the drone 200. For example, the control unit 203 is realized by a control device such as a microcomputer or a microcontroller.

[0103] The control unit 203 controls the camera 205 to capture an image. The control unit 203 causes the camera 205 to capture an image at a predetermined timing. The control unit 203 acquires the image captured by the camera 205. When providing the image to the management side of the transport path, the control unit 203 outputs the acquired image to the communication unit 206.

[0104] The control unit 203 controls the rotation of the propellers 202. The control unit 203 controls the number of rotations of each propeller 202 by controlling the drive of the motor 204 for each propeller 202. While the drone 200 is traveling inside the transport path, the control unit 203 controls the rotation of the propellers 202 based on the positions of guide lights included in images captured by the camera 205. The control unit 203 controls the rotation of the propellers 202 so that the drone 200 travels along the transport path according to the positions of guide lights that are lit in a color to be referenced.

[0105] The control unit 203 also acquires a detection value 216 from the detector 260. The control unit 203 outputs the acquired detection value 216 to the communication unit 206. The control unit 203 may detect that a package has been loaded onto the drone 200 based on the detection value 216. For example, the control unit 203 may be configured to depart for the transport path after detecting that a package has been loaded. This configuration can prevent the drone 200 from departing without a package to be transported. For example, the control unit 203 may be configured to transmit an emergency signal to the management device 20 (management side) when the package is no longer detected while using the transport path. This configuration can allow the management device 20 (management side) to recognize that the package being transported has detached from the drone 200.

[0106] The camera 205 has the same configuration as the camera 105 of the first embodiment. The camera 205 is arranged to capture an image of the periphery of the drone 200. The camera 205 captures an image of the periphery of the drone 200. The camera 205 captures an image in accordance with the control of the control unit 203. The camera 205 outputs captured image data (also referred to as an image) to the control unit 203.

[0107] The transmission information generation unit 207 has the same configuration as the transmission information generation unit 107 according to the first embodiment. The transmission information generation unit 207 generates transmission information that is unique to the drone 200. The transmission information generation unit 207 outputs the generated transmission information to the communication unit 206.

[0108] The communication unit 206 receives wireless signals transmitted from the management side. The communication unit 206 also acquires transmission information generated by the transmission information generation unit 207 and images captured by the camera 205. The communication unit 206 transmits signals including the transmission information and images. The communication unit 206 also acquires the detection value 216 detected by the detector 260. The communication unit 206 transmits signals including the detection value 216. The signals transmitted from the communication unit 206 are received by the management device 20.

[0109] The power supply 209 has the same configuration as the power supply 109 in the first embodiment. The power supply 209 is a general secondary battery with a charging function. The power supply 209 is a power source for the drone 200.

[0110] (Operation) Next, an example of the operation of the management device 20 that forms the transport path and the operation of the drone 200 that uses the transport path will be described with reference to the drawings. Below, the operations of the management device 20 and the drone 200 will be described using a flowchart. With regard to the operation of the drone 200, the operation of the control unit 203 included in the drone 200 will be described.

[0111] [Management Device] Fig. 18 is a flowchart for explaining an example of the operation of the management device 20. In the explanation following the flowchart of Fig. 18, the management device 20 will be described as the subject of the operation.

[0112] In FIG. 18, first, the management device 20 receives transport information 211 from a client requesting transport of a package using a transport route (step S21).

[0113] Next, the management device 20 determines whether a transport path can be formed based on the received transport information 211 (step S22).

[0114] Next, the management device 20 generates reception information 215 according to the determination result (step S23). If a transport path can be formed, the management device 20 generates reception information 215 indicating that the transport information 211 has been accepted. On the other hand, if a transport path cannot be formed, the management device 20 generates reception information 215 indicating that the transport information 211 has not been accepted.

[0115] Next, the management device 20 outputs the generated reception information 215 to the requester of the transport information 211 (step S24). The requester user who has viewed the reception information 215 can take action in accordance with the reception information 215. For example, if a transport route can be formed, the requester user loads the cargo to be transported onto the drone 200. For example, if a transport route cannot be formed, the requester user transports the cargo to be transported by a means that does not use the transport route.

[0116] Next, if the transport path can be formed (Yes in step S25), the management device 20 generates transport path formation information (step S26). On the other hand, if the transport path cannot be formed (No in step S25), the processing according to the flowchart in FIG. 18 ends.

[0117] When the detection value 216 is received and the package is identified (Yes in step S27), the management device 20 outputs transport path formation information 213 to guide lights installed on the transport path corresponding to the transport information 211 (step S28). The guide lights are turned on in accordance with the formation information 213, thereby forming a transport path corresponding to the transport information 211. If the detection value 216 has not been received (No in step S27), the management device 20 waits until the detection value 216 is received. For example, as a result of receiving the detection value 216, the package loaded on the drone 200 may be different from the package to be transported. In such a case, the management device 20 may be configured to notify the requester to load the appropriate package on the drone 200.

[0118] [Drone] Fig. 19 is a flowchart for explaining an example of the operation of the control unit 203 included in the drone 200. In the explanation following the flowchart of Fig. 19, the control unit 203 will be described as the subject of the operation.

[0119] 19 , when the detection value 216 is acquired by the detector 260 (Yes in step S201), the control unit 203 outputs the detection value 216 to the management device 20 (step S202). If the detection value 216 is not acquired by the detector 260, the management device 20 waits until the detection value 216 is acquired.

[0120] After step S203, when the transport path formation information 213 is acquired, the control unit 203 executes a transport process (step S204). The transport process in step S204 is the process in Fig. 14 of the first embodiment. If the transport path formation information 213 has not been acquired (No in step S203), the management device 20 waits until the formation information 213 is acquired.

[0121] As described above, the management device of this embodiment includes a reception unit, a determination unit, a reception information output unit, an identification unit, a transport path formation unit, and a formation information output unit. The reception unit receives transport information corresponding to an application to use an aerial transport path to be formed indoors. The determination unit determines whether or not the aerial transport path can be formed based on the transport information. The reception information output unit outputs reception information including a determination result regarding whether or not the aerial transport path can be formed to a requester of the transport information. The identification unit acquires detection values detected by a detector detected by a drone using the managed aerial transport path. The identification unit identifies that a load to be transported has been loaded onto the drone based on the acquired detection values. The identification unit outputs a baggage loading notification notifying that a load to be transported has been loaded onto the drone. The transport path formation unit generates aerial transport path formation information based on the determination result that the aerial transport path can be formed. The transport path formation unit outputs aerial transport path formation information based on the baggage loading notification output from the identification unit. The formation information output unit outputs aerial transport path formation information to guide lights installed indoors to form the aerial transport path.

[0122] In this embodiment, when it is determined that a package has been loaded onto a drone using the aerial transport route, information on the formation of the aerial transport route is output. Therefore, according to this embodiment, an aerial transport route that the drone uses to transport the package can be formed indoors at an appropriate timing.

[0123] Third Embodiment Next, a management device according to a third embodiment will be described with reference to the drawings. In this embodiment, whether or not a transport path can be formed is determined based on the authentication result of the client included in the transport information.

[0124] 20 is a block diagram showing an example of the configuration of the management device 30 according to this embodiment. The management device 30 includes a receiving unit 31, a determining unit 32, a transport path forming unit 33, a forming information output unit 34, a received information output unit 35, a storage unit 36, and an authentication unit 37.

[0125] The reception unit 31 has the same configuration as the reception unit 11 of the first embodiment. The reception unit 31 receives transport information 311, which corresponds to an application to use a transport path formed indoors. The transport information 311 includes a client code, as in the transport information 111 ( FIG. 2 ) shown in the first embodiment. The transport information 311 is input via a terminal device (not shown). The reception unit 31 outputs the received transport information 311 to the determination unit 32 and the authentication unit 37.

[0126] The user codes of users who have registered to use the transport path are registered in the storage unit 36. Users whose user codes are registered in the storage unit 36 can use services that use the transport path.

[0127] The authentication unit 37 acquires delivery information 311 from the reception unit 31. The authentication unit 37 verifies whether a user code matching the requester code included in the acquired delivery information 311 is registered in the storage unit 38. If a user code matching the requester code included in the delivery information 311 is registered in the storage unit 38, the authentication unit 37 outputs an authentication result indicating that the requester has been authenticated to the determination unit 32. On the other hand, if a user code matching the requester code included in the delivery information 311 is not registered in the storage unit 38, the authentication unit 37 outputs an authentication result indicating that the requester has not been authenticated to the determination unit 32.

[0128] The determination unit 32 has the same configuration as the determination unit 12 of the first embodiment. The determination unit 32 acquires transport information 311 from the reception unit 31. The determination unit 32 also acquires an authentication result from the authentication unit 37. The determination unit 32 determines whether a transport path can be formed based on the authentication result of the authentication unit 37 and the transport information 311. When an authentication result indicating that the requester has been authenticated is acquired, the determination unit 32 determines whether a transport path can be formed based on the transport information 311. Regardless of whether a transport path can be formed or not, the determination unit 32 outputs reception information 315 including the determination result of whether a transport path can be formed to the reception information output unit 35. When a transport path can be formed, the determination unit 32 outputs an instruction to form a transport path to the transport path forming unit 33. The instruction to form a transport path includes the start point and end point of the transport path. On the other hand, if an authentication result indicating that the requester was not authenticated is obtained, the judgment unit 32 outputs reception information 315 including the judgment result indicating that the requester was not authenticated to the reception information output unit 35.

[0129] The reception information output unit 35 has the same configuration as the reception information output unit 15 of the first embodiment. The reception information output unit 35 acquires reception information 315 including a determination result on whether or not a transport path can be formed from the determination unit 32. If the requester is not authenticated, the reception information output unit 35 acquires reception information 315 including a determination result indicating that the requester is not authenticated from the determination unit 32. The reception information output unit 35 transmits the acquired reception information 315 to a terminal device used by the requester of the transport information 311.

[0130] FIG. 21 illustrates an example of reception information 315 including a determination result indicating that the requester was not authenticated. For example, the reception information 315 is displayed on the screen of a terminal device (not shown) that can be viewed by the requester. The reception information 315 in FIG. 21 includes a determination result indicating that "The following requester code is not registered." Below the determination result, "Requester code: 123...321," indicating that the requester was not authenticated, is displayed. In the example of reception information 315 in FIG. 21, two pieces of recommendation information are displayed for the unauthenticated requester. The first recommendation information is "Please check your requester code and resubmit your application." The second recommendation information is "If you have not registered to use the transport route, please register to use it." After checking the recommendation information, the requester can use the transport route by taking action according to the recommendation information.

[0131] The transport path forming unit 33 has the same configuration as the transport path forming unit 13 according to the first embodiment. The transport path forming unit 33 acquires a transport path forming instruction from the determination unit 32. The transport path forming unit 33 generates transport path forming information in accordance with the transport path forming instruction. The transport path forming unit 33 generates forming information for forming a transport path between the start point and end point included in the transport path forming instruction. The forming information includes the start point, route, and end point of the transport path. The transport path forming unit 33 outputs the generated forming information to the forming information output unit 34.

[0132] The formation information output unit 34 has the same configuration as the formation information output unit 14 of the first embodiment. The formation information output unit 34 acquires formation information from the transport path formation unit 33. The formation information output unit 34 outputs the acquired formation information to guide lights located on the route along which the transport path is formed. The guide lights that have acquired the formation information turn on in accordance with the formation information.

[0133] (Operation) Next, an example of the operation of the management device 30 that forms the transport path will be described with reference to the drawings. Fig. 22 is a flowchart for explaining an example of the operation of the management device 30. In the explanation following the flowchart of Fig. 22, the management device 30 will be described as the subject of the operation.

[0134] In FIG. 22, first, the management device 30 receives transport information 311 from a client requesting transport of a package using a transport route (step S31).

[0135] Next, the management device 30 authenticates the requester according to the requester code included in the transport information 311 (step S32). If the requester is authenticated (Yes in step S32), the management device 30 determines whether a transport path can be formed according to the transport information 311 (step S33). On the other hand, if the requester is not authenticated (No in step S32), the management device 30 proceeds to step S36.

[0136] If the transport path can be formed in step S33 (Yes in step S33), the management device 30 generates transport path formation information (step S34). On the other hand, if the transport path cannot be formed (No in step S33), the management device 30 proceeds to step S36.

[0137] After step S34, the management device 30 outputs transport path formation information 313 to guide lights installed on the transport path corresponding to the transport information 311 (step S35). The guide lights are turned on in accordance with the formation information 313, thereby forming the transport path corresponding to the transport information 311.

[0138] After step S35, if step S32 returns No, or if step S33 returns No, the management device 30 generates reception information 315 according to the determination result (step S35). After step S35, the management device 30 generates reception information 315 indicating that the delivery information 311 has been accepted. If step S33 returns No, the management device 30 generates reception information 315 indicating that the delivery information 311 has not been accepted. If step S32 returns No, the management device 30 generates reception information 315 indicating that the requester code has not been authenticated.

[0139] Next, the management device 30 outputs the generated reception information 315 to the requester of the transport information 311 (step S37). The requester user who has viewed the reception information 315 can take action in accordance with the reception information 315. For example, if a transport route is formed, the requester user loads the cargo to be transported onto the drone by a specified time. For example, if a transport route is not formed, the requester user transports the cargo to be transported by a means that does not use the transport route. For example, if the requester code is not authenticated, the requester user checks the requester code again or registers the requester code.

[0140] The order of generating / outputting the transport path formation information and generating / outputting the reception information may be reversed. For example, steps S36 to S37 may be executed before steps S34 to S35. Furthermore, steps S34 to S35 and steps S36 to S37 may be executed in parallel.

[0141] As described above, the management device of this embodiment includes a reception unit, a memory unit, an authentication unit, a determination unit, a received information output unit, a transport path formation unit, and a formation information output unit. The reception unit receives transport information corresponding to an application for use of an aerial transport path formed indoors. The reception unit receives transport information including a requester code indicating the requester of the package to be transported. The memory unit stores the user code of a user who has registered to use the aerial transport path. The authentication unit authenticates the requester of the transport information based on a match between the requester code included in the transport information and the user code stored in the memory unit. The determination unit determines whether or not an aerial transport path can be formed based on the transport information authenticated by the authentication unit. The received information output unit outputs reception information including a determination result regarding whether or not an aerial transport path can be formed to the requester of the transport information. The transport path formation unit generates formation information for the aerial transport path based on the determination result that the formation of the aerial transport path is possible. The formation information output unit outputs the formation information for the aerial transport path to guide lights installed indoors to form the aerial transport path.

[0142] In this embodiment, information on the formation of an aerial transport route is output in response to authentication of the requester of the transport information. Therefore, according to this embodiment, an aerial transport route that is used by a drone to transport cargo can be formed indoors in response to a request from an appropriate requester.

[0143] Fourth Embodiment Next, a management device according to a fourth embodiment will be described with reference to the drawings. In this embodiment, a fee is charged to a client according to the use of a transport path.

[0144] 23 is a block diagram showing an example of the configuration of the management device 40 according to this embodiment. The management device 40 includes a reception unit 41, a determination unit 42, a transport path formation unit 43, a formation information output unit 44, a reception information output unit 45, a storage unit 46, an authentication unit 47, and an accounting unit 48.

[0145] The reception unit 41 has the same configuration as the reception unit 11 of the first embodiment. The reception unit 41 receives transport information 411 corresponding to an application to use a transport path formed indoors. The transport information 411 includes a client code, as in the transport information 111 ( FIG. 2 ) shown in the first embodiment. The transport information 411 is input via a terminal device (not shown). The reception unit 41 outputs the received transport information 411 to the determination unit 42 and the authentication unit 47.

[0146] The storage unit 46 stores the user codes of users who have registered to use the transport path. Users whose user codes are registered in the storage unit 46 can use services that use the transport path. The user codes are linked to the user's bank account or account information for a payment system such as a credit card or electronic money so that fees can be charged when using services that use the transport.

[0147] The authentication unit 47 acquires delivery information 411 from the reception unit 41. The authentication unit 47 verifies whether a user code matching the requester code included in the acquired delivery information 411 is registered in the storage unit 46. If a user code matching the requester code included in the delivery information 411 is registered in the storage unit 46, the authentication unit 47 outputs an authentication result indicating that the requester has been authenticated to the determination unit 42. On the other hand, if a user code matching the requester code included in the delivery information 411 is not registered in the storage unit 46, the authentication unit 47 outputs an authentication result indicating that the requester has not been authenticated to the determination unit 42.

[0148] The determination unit 42 has the same configuration as the determination unit 12 in the first embodiment. The determination unit 42 acquires transport information 411 from the reception unit 41. The determination unit 42 also acquires an authentication result from the authentication unit 47. The determination unit 42 determines whether a transport path can be formed based on the authentication result of the authentication unit 47 and the transport information 411. When an authentication result indicating that the requester has been authenticated is acquired, the determination unit 42 determines whether a transport path can be formed based on the transport information 411. Regardless of whether a transport path can be formed or not, the determination unit 42 outputs reception information 415 including the determination result on whether a transport path can be formed to the reception information output unit 45. If a transport path can be formed, the determination unit 42 outputs a transport path formation instruction to the transport path formation unit 43. The transport path formation instruction includes the start point and end point of the transport path. The determination unit 42 also outputs a charging instruction according to the transport path to be formed to the authentication unit 47. For example, the charging instruction includes the determination result that a transport path is to be formed, information about the start point and end point of the transport path, etc. On the other hand, when an authentication result indicating that the requester has not been authenticated is acquired, the determination unit 42 outputs reception information 415 including the determination result indicating that the requester has not been authenticated to the reception information output unit 45.

[0149] The reception information output unit 45 has the same configuration as the reception information output unit 15 of the first embodiment. The reception information output unit 45 acquires reception information 415 including a determination result on whether or not a transport path can be formed from the determination unit 42. If the requester is not authenticated, the reception information output unit 45 acquires reception information 415 including a determination result indicating that the requester is not authenticated from the determination unit 42. The reception information output unit 45 transmits the acquired reception information 415 to a terminal device used by the requester of the transport information 411.

[0150] The authentication unit 47 acquires a billing instruction from the determination unit 42. The authentication unit 47 generates billing information 418 for the client of the acquired billing instruction. The authentication unit 47 generates the billing information 418 including a usage fee (billing amount) for the transport path. The usage fee for the transport path may be set based on pre-set contract conditions, etc. For example, the authentication unit 47 generates the billing information 418 including a usage fee for the transport path according to the distance used for the transport path based on the start and end points of the transport path included in the billing instruction. The authentication unit 47 links the generated billing information 418 to the account information of the client and outputs the information to the billing unit 48.

[0151] The billing unit 48 acquires billing information 418 linked to the account information of the client from the authentication unit 47. The billing unit 48 charges the usage fee included in the acquired billing information 418 to the billing destination corresponding to the account information linked to the billing information 418. There are no particular limitations on the billing method used by the billing unit 48.

[0152] The transport path forming unit 43 has the same configuration as the transport path forming unit 13 according to the first embodiment. The transport path forming unit 43 acquires a transport path formation instruction from the determination unit 42. The transport path forming unit 43 generates transport path formation information in response to the transport path formation instruction. The transport path forming unit 43 generates formation information for forming a transport path between a start point and an end point included in the transport path formation instruction. The formation information includes the start point, route, and end point of the transport path. For example, the transport path forming unit 43 may be configured to form a transport path starting from the payment of a usage fee to a designated account in response to billing by the billing unit 48. The transport path forming unit 43 outputs the generated formation information to the formation information output unit 44.

[0153] The formation information output unit 44 has the same configuration as the formation information output unit 14 of the first embodiment. The formation information output unit 44 acquires formation information from the transport path formation unit 43. The formation information output unit 44 outputs the acquired formation information to guide lights located on the route along which the transport path is formed. The guide lights that have acquired the formation information turn on in accordance with the formation information.

[0154] (Operation) Next, an example of the operation of the management device 40 that forms the transport path will be described with reference to the drawings. Fig. 24 is a flowchart for explaining an example of the operation of the management device 40. In the explanation following the flowchart of Fig. 24, the management device 40 will be described as the subject of the operation.

[0155] In FIG. 24, first, the management device 40 receives transport information 411 from a client requesting transport of a package using a transport route (step S41).

[0156] Next, the management device 40 authenticates the requester according to the requester code included in the transport information 411 (step S42). If the requester is authenticated (Yes in step S42), the management device 40 determines whether a transport path can be formed according to the transport information 411 (step S43). On the other hand, if the requester is not authenticated (No in step S42), the management device 40 proceeds to step S46.

[0157] In step S43, if a transport path can be formed (Yes in step S43), the management device 40 generates and outputs transport path formation information (step S44). The management device 40 outputs transport path formation information 413 to guide lights installed on the transport path corresponding to the transport information 411. The guide lights are turned on in accordance with the formation information 413, thereby forming a transport path corresponding to the transport information 411. On the other hand, if a transport path cannot be formed (No in step S43), the process proceeds to step S46.

[0158] Next, the management device 40 generates and outputs billing information 418 according to the use of the transport path (step S45). The management device 40 charges the account of the client of the transport information 411 for the billing information 418 according to the use of the transport path.

[0159] After step S45, if step S42 is No, or if step S43 is No, the management device 40 generates / outputs reception information 415 according to the determination result (step S46). After step S45, the management device 40 generates reception information 415 indicating that the delivery information 411 has been accepted. If step S43 is No, the management device 40 generates reception information 415 indicating that the delivery information 411 has not been accepted. If step S42 is No, the management device 40 generates reception information 415 indicating that the requester code has not been authenticated.

[0160] Next, the management device 40 outputs the generated reception information 415 to the requester of the transport information 411 (step S46). The requester user who has viewed the reception information 415 can take action in accordance with the reception information 415. For example, if a transport route is formed, the requester user loads the cargo to be transported onto a drone by a specified time. For example, if a transport route is not formed, the requester user transports the cargo to be transported by a means that does not use the transport route. For example, if the requester code is not authenticated, the requester user checks the requester code again or registers the requester code.

[0161] The order of generating / outputting the transport path formation information (step S44), generating / outputting the billing information (step S45), and generating / outputting the reception information (step S46) may be reversed. For example, step S46 may be executed before step S44 or step S45. For example, step S44 may be executed after step S45 so that the transport path is formed after billing. Furthermore, steps S44, S45, and S46 may be executed in parallel.

[0162] Next, application example 1 of the management device 40 of the present embodiment will be described with reference to the drawings. In this application example, a client in an office requests delivery of a package to a store outside the office building in which the client's office is located.

[0163] FIG. 25 illustrates an example of delivery information 411 received by the management device 40 in this application example. The delivery information 411 in FIG. 25 is a request from a requester in office A to use a delivery route to purchase a product from a store (convenience store S) outside the office building in which office A is located. The delivery information 411 in FIG. 25 includes a requester code, a request destination, a delivery origin, a delivery destination, and the product. The requester code (also referred to as a user code) is an identification code that can identify an individual, such as the requester's user ID (identifier), registration number, employee number, or name. In the example of FIG. 25, the requester code is entered as the requester identification code "123...321." The request destination is the store where the product is purchased. In the example of FIG. 25, the request destination is entered as the name of "convenience store S" outside the office building. The delivery origin is the departure point of the package to be delivered. In the example of FIG. 25, the "convenience store S," from which the product is to be delivered, is the delivery origin. The delivery destination is the destination to which the product is delivered. In the example of Figure 25, the location of the requester with the identification code "123...321" in office A is the delivery destination. The product is the product to be purchased. In the example of Figure 25, the product is a "sandwich." The delivery information may include the requester code, the requester, the delivery origin, the delivery destination, and additional information other than the product. For example, the delivery information may include the desired delivery route to be used, the desired time for the delivery route to be formed, and additional information related to the product to be delivered. There are no limitations on the additional information included in the delivery information.

[0164] FIG. 26 is an example of billing information 418 corresponding to delivery information 411. FIG. 26 shows billing information 418 for delivery information 411 in FIG. 25. The billing information 418 in FIG. 26 includes information such as "The billing amount is as follows." Although FIG. 26 also shows delivery information 411 in FIG. 25, delivery information 411 does not have to be included in billing information 418. The billing information 418 in FIG. 26 includes information related to the billing amount, "Billing amount: 350 yen (including delivery fee)." The billing information 418 in FIG. 26 also includes information such as "The above billing amount will be debited from your designated account (YYYY) on December XX."

[0165] FIG. 27 is a conceptual diagram showing an example in which a transport path is formed between an office building in which office A is located and a convenience store S. A guide light 440 is installed between the office building and the convenience store S. In the example of FIG. 27 , a passage window for drone 400 is formed in the office building. Drone 400 departs from the office building and arrives at convenience store S while referring to the guide light 440. When drone 400 arrives at convenience store S, it is loaded with goods according to transport information 411. Note that drone 400 may be owned by convenience store S. When drone 400 arrives at the office building, it uses the transport path formed inside the office building to move toward office A where the client is located.

[0166] As described above, in this application example, the transport path is extended not only indoors in an office building or the like, but also outdoors. Therefore, according to this application example, a package can be transported from an outdoor source to an indoor destination. For example, by installing guide lights 440 on the tops of utility poles, traffic lights, etc., smooth transport of packages can be achieved without being affected by traffic congestion, etc.

[0167] [Application Example 2] Next, application example 2 of the management device 40 of this embodiment will be described with reference to the drawings. This application example is an example in which packages are transported on a transport path formed inside a warehouse.

[0168] FIG. 28 is a conceptual diagram for explaining this application example. FIG. 28 illustrates an example in which a transport path is formed using guide lights 440 installed inside a warehouse. For example, the guide lights 440 are installed on the ceiling or walls of the warehouse. A flying drone 400 moves within the warehouse while referring to the guide lights 440. The flying drone 400 can move above the cargo, so it can move within the warehouse even if there are no gaps between the cargo. FIG. 28 illustrates a ground-traveling drone 401. The ground-traveling drone 401 moves through the gaps between the cargo, so it has less freedom of movement than the flying drone 400. However, the ground-traveling drone 401 can transport larger cargo than the flying drone 400.

[0169] While FIG. 28 illustrates operation in a warehouse that is accessible to humans, this application example can also be used in warehouses that are difficult for humans to enter. For example, this application example can be applied to indoor locations with low oxygen concentrations or freezers that store frozen goods, depending on the storage conditions of the cargo. This application example can also be applied to indoor locations with high temperatures or high radiation concentrations. This application example can be applied to any purpose in which the drone 400 can move.
