[0003] JP 2010-142399 A
[0004] It is necessary to fully ensure the functionality and performance of electronic components such as a drive board that drives the touch panel, which is installed inside the housing, in order to prevent unexpected water leakage into the inside of the housing from between the touch panel and the housing.
[0005] The present invention has been made in consideration of the above, and aims to provide a drive device that can realize a structure that fully prevents water leakage into the housing from between the touch panel and the housing.
[0006] In order to solve the above-mentioned problems and achieve the object, the drive device of the present invention comprises a housing that forms an exterior, a touch panel that displays images and accepts user operations, a drive board that drives the touch panel, and a treatment tool connector that electrically connects to an external energy treatment tool, wherein the touch panel and the treatment tool connector are each provided in a state exposed to the outside from a front portion that constitutes the front of the housing, and the front portion comprises a front panel that supports the touch panel and the drive board, and a front panel cover that covers the front side of the front panel, wherein the touch panel and the drive board are supported by the front panel with a gap between them, with the drive board located on the back side of the touch panel, and a frame-shaped waterproof film is provided between the front of the touch panel and the back of the front panel cover.

[0009] Hereinafter, a mode for carrying out the present invention (hereinafter referred to as an embodiment) will be described with reference to the drawings. Note that the present invention is not limited to the embodiment described below. Furthermore, in the description of the drawings, the same parts are given the same reference numerals.
[0010] [Schematic Configuration of Treatment System] Fig. 1 is a diagram showing the schematic configuration of a treatment system 1 according to an embodiment. The treatment system 1 applies ultrasonic vibrations to biological tissue such as bone to treat the biological tissue. Here, the treatment refers to, for example, removing or cutting biological tissue such as bone. Note that Fig. 1 illustrates a treatment system for performing anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction as the treatment system 1. As shown in Fig. 1, the treatment system 1 includes an endoscope apparatus 2, a treatment apparatus 3, a guiding device 4, and a perfusion apparatus 5.
[0011] As shown in Fig. 1, the endoscopic device 2 includes an endoscope 21 and a control device 22. As shown in Fig. 1, the tip portion of the insertion section 211 of the endoscope 21 is inserted into the inside of the joint cavity C1 of the knee joint J1 through a first portal P1 that communicates between the inside of the joint cavity C1 and the outside of the skin. The endoscope 21 irradiates the inside of the joint cavity C1, captures the illumination light (subject image) reflected inside the joint cavity C1, and captures the subject image. The control device 22 performs various image processing on the captured image captured by the endoscope 21 and displays the processed captured image on a display device (not shown).
[0012] As shown in FIG. 1 , the treatment device 3 includes an ultrasonic treatment tool 31, a driving device 6, and a foot switch 32. FIG. 2 is a diagram showing the ultrasonic treatment tool 31. The ultrasonic treatment tool 31 corresponds to the energy treatment tool according to the present invention. As shown in FIGS. 1 and 2 , the ultrasonic treatment tool 31 includes a treatment tool body 311, a blade 312 ( FIG. 2 ), a sheath 313, a cable 314, and a connector 315 ( FIG. 1 ). The treatment tool body 311 is formed in a generally cylindrical shape. The treatment tool body 311 houses an ultrasonic transducer 3111 ( FIGS. 1 and 2 ) that is composed of a bolt-clamped Langevin-type transducer and generates ultrasonic vibrations in response to supplied driving power.
[0013] Here, in the drive device 6, a drive circuit (not shown) is provided inside a housing 60 (FIG. 1) that forms the exterior of the drive device 6. The drive circuit supplies drive power to the ultrasonic transducer 3111 in response to an operator's operation of the foot switch 32. The supply of drive power is not limited to operation of the foot switch 32, and may be performed in response to, for example, operation of an operation unit (not shown) provided on the ultrasonic treatment tool 31. The configuration of the housing 60 will be described later in the section "Configuration of the Housing."
[0014] The blade 312 is made of, for example, a titanium alloy and has a substantially cylindrical shape. The proximal end of the blade 312 is connected to the ultrasonic transducer 3111 inside the treatment instrument main body 311. The blade 312 transmits ultrasonic vibrations generated by the ultrasonic transducer 3111 from the proximal end to the distal end. In this embodiment, the ultrasonic vibrations are longitudinal vibrations along the longitudinal direction of the blade 312. Furthermore, a distal treatment portion 3121 is provided at the distal end of the blade 312, as shown in FIG. 2 .
[0015] The sheath 313 is formed in a cylindrical shape that is longer and thinner than the treatment instrument body 311, and covers part of the outer periphery of the blade 312 up to an arbitrary length from the treatment instrument body 311. The proximal end of the cable 314 is electrically connected to the drive energy input unit 3112 inside the treatment instrument body 311. In addition, a connector 315 is connected to the distal end of the cable 314.
[0016] The distal end of the ultrasonic treatment instrument 31 described above is inserted into the joint cavity C1 while being guided by the guiding device 4, which is inserted into the joint cavity C1 through the second portal P2 that connects the inside of the joint cavity C1 to the outside of the skin. When ultrasonic vibrations are generated while the distal treatment section 3121, which is the distal end of the ultrasonic treatment instrument 31, is in contact with the bone treatment site, a hammering action occurs, pulverizing the bone portion that mechanically collides with the distal treatment section 3121 into fine particles. When the surgeon presses the distal treatment section 3121 into the treatment site, the distal treatment section 3121 advances into the treatment site while pulverizing the bone. This forms a bone hole in the treatment site with a cross-sectional shape corresponding to the cross-sectional shape of the distal treatment section 3121.
[0017] The guiding device 4 is inserted into the joint cavity C1 through the second portal P2 and guides the insertion of the tip portion of the ultrasonic treatment instrument 31 into the joint cavity C1.
[0018] The inside of the joint cavity C1 is filled with a perfusion fluid such as physiological saline. The perfusion fluid is delivered into the joint cavity C1 and discharged to the outside of the joint cavity C1 by a perfusion device 5. As shown in FIG. 1 , the perfusion device 5 includes a fluid source 51, a fluid supply tube 52, a fluid supply pump 53, a drainage bottle 54, a drainage tube 55, and a drainage pump 56. The fluid source 51 contains the perfusion fluid. One end of the fluid supply tube 52 is connected to the fluid source 51, and the other end is connected to the endoscope 21. The fluid supply pump 53 delivers the perfusion fluid from the fluid source 51 to the endoscope 21 through the fluid supply tube 52. The perfusion fluid delivered to the endoscope 21 is then delivered into the joint cavity C1 from a fluid supply hole (not shown) formed at the tip of the insertion section 211.
[0019] The drainage bottle 54 stores the perfusion fluid that has been drained to the outside of the joint cavity C1. One end of the drainage tube 55 is connected to the guiding device 4, and the other end is connected to the drainage bottle 54. The drainage pump 56 drains the perfusion fluid from the inside of the joint cavity C1 to the drainage bottle 54 through a flow path that runs from the guiding device 4 inserted into the inside of the joint cavity C1 to the drainage tube 55.
[0020] [Configuration of the Housing] Next, the configuration of the housing 60 will be described. FIGS. 3 and 4 are diagrams illustrating the configuration of the housing 60. Specifically, FIG. 3 is a perspective view of the drive unit 6 as seen from the front side. FIG. 4 is an exploded perspective view of the housing 60 shown in FIG. 3. As shown in FIGS. 3 and 4, the housing 60 has a front portion 61, a rear portion (not shown), a bottom portion 62, and a top cover 63, and is formed in a generally rectangular parallelepiped shape. Specifically, the front portion 61 constitutes the front surface of the housing 60. The rear portion (not shown) constitutes the rear surface of the housing 60. The bottom portion 62 constitutes the bottom surface of the housing 60. The top cover 63 is a U-shaped portion having an upper surface 64 that constitutes the upper surface of the housing 60 and a pair of side surfaces 65 that respectively constitute a pair of side surfaces of the housing 60.
[0021] As shown in FIG. 3 , the front surface 61 is provided with a treatment instrument connector 61A, a power switch 61B, multiple (two in this embodiment) operation switches 61C, and a touch panel 61D, all of which are exposed to the outside. A connector 315 of the ultrasonic treatment instrument 31 is detachably connected to the treatment instrument connector 61A. When the connector 315 is connected to the treatment instrument connector 61A, the ultrasonic treatment instrument 31 and the drive unit 6 are supplied with driving power and communicated with control signals via a cable 314. The power switch 61B is a switch that turns on the power of the drive unit 6. The two operation switches 61C are switches that accept various operations by a user such as a surgeon. The touch panel 61D is a panel that combines a display panel (not shown) that displays various images and a position input device (not shown) such as a touchpad that is provided on the surface of the display panel and accepts user operations.
[0022] 3 and 4, the front surface portion 61 includes a front panel 611 (FIG. 4) and a front panel cover 612. The front panel 611 is made of a metal material and is a rectangular plate when viewed from the front side. As shown in FIG. 4, a gasket 6111 is attached to the upper end of the front panel 611 over the entire length of the upper end. When the top cover 63 is assembled to the front panel 611, the gasket 6111 abuts against the inner surface of the upper surface portion 64.
[0023] Here, the touch panel 61D and a drive substrate 61E (see FIG. 6 ) that drives the touch panel 61D are supported by a front panel 611. FIGS. 5 and 6 are diagrams illustrating the support structure of the touch panel 61D relative to the front panel 611. Specifically, FIG. 5 is a perspective view of the support structure of the touch panel 61D relative to the front panel 611, as seen from the front side. FIG. 6 is a side view of the support structure of the touch panel 61D relative to the front panel 611. Specifically, as shown in FIG. 6 , the drive substrate 61E is fixed to the front surface of the front panel 611 with both surfaces of the drive substrate 61E parallel to the front surface of the front panel 611. Furthermore, the touch panel 61D is supported by a support member 66 and is arranged on the front side of the drive substrate 61E with a gap provided between the touch panel 61D and the drive substrate 61E.
[0024] The support member 66 is made of a metal material. As shown in FIGS. 5 and 6 , the support member 66 includes a first frame body 661 and four legs 662. The first frame body 661 is formed in a rectangular frame shape having a first opening 6611 ( FIG. 5 ). The touch panel 61D is supported by the first frame body 661 while being fitted into the first opening 6611. Also, as shown in FIGS. 5 and 6 , a second frame body 663, which is a rectangular frame-shaped plate made of a metal material and has a second opening 6631 ( FIG. 5 ) that is smaller than the first opening 6611 (smaller than the outer size of the touch panel 61D), is attached to the front surface of the first frame body 661. That is, the second frame body 663 is disposed on the front side of the touch panel 61D. In addition, the left and right portions of the second frame 663 that extend in the vertical direction respectively extend along the left and right edges of the touch panel 61D and correspond to a pair of damming members 6632 (FIG. 5) according to the present invention.
[0025] The four legs 662 are parts that protrude from the four corners of the first frame body 661 toward the rear side and are fixed in a state of abutting against the front surface of the front panel 611. For ease of explanation, only one of the two lower legs 662D of the four legs 662 is shown in Figure 11.
[0026] Here, of the four legs 662, the two upper legs 662U have shorter protruding lengths than the two lower legs 662D. In other words, when the support member 66 is fixed to the front surface of the front panel 611, the touch panel 61D is tilted toward the front surface as it extends downward. In this case, as shown in FIG. 6 , the bottom end position of the touch panel 61D is located lower than the bottom end position of the drive substrate 61E by a height dimension D1.
[0027] The front panel cover 612 is made of a resin material and is a rectangular plate when viewed from the front, covering the front surface of the front panel 611. The front panel cover 612 has openings 6121-6124 for exposing the treatment tool connector 61A, the power switch 61B, the multiple operation switches 61C, and the touch panel 61D to the outside, as shown in Fig. 4 . First and second waterproof films (tapes) 6125 and 6126 (Figs. 4 to 6) each having a rectangular frame shape are provided between the rear surface of the front panel cover 612 and the front surface of the touch panel 61D. The first and second waterproof films 6125 and 6126 correspond to the waterproof films according to the present invention.
[0028] The first waterproof film 6125 is attached around an opening 6124 for exposing the touch panel 61D to the outside on the back surface of the front panel cover 612. This first waterproof film 6125 abuts against the front surface of the second frame body 663 when the front panel cover 612 is assembled to the front panel 611. The second waterproof film 6126 is attached around a second opening 6631 on the back surface of the second frame body 663, and abuts against the front surface of the touch panel 61D when the second frame body 663 is assembled to the first frame body 661.
[0029] The above-described embodiment provides the following advantages. In the drive device 6 according to this embodiment, the front surface portion 61 constituting the front surface of the housing 60 of the drive device 6 includes a front panel 611 supporting the touch panel 61D and the drive substrate 61E, and a front panel cover 612 covering the front side of the front panel 611. The touch panel 61D and the drive substrate 61E are supported by the front panel 611 with a gap between them, with the drive substrate 61E located on the rear side of the touch panel 61D. Furthermore, frame-shaped first and second waterproof films 6125 and 6126 are provided between the front surface of the touch panel 61D and the rear surface of the front panel cover 612. Therefore, the first and second waterproof films 6125 and 6126 eliminate the gap between the periphery of the opening 6124 and the touch panel 61D, thereby improving waterproofing. Furthermore, since a gap is provided between the touch panel 61D and the drive substrate 61E, the function or performance of the drive substrate 61E can be fully ensured even if a liquid such as an irrigation fluid seeps into the housing 60 through the opening 6124. Therefore, the drive device 6 according to the present embodiment can realize a structure that provides sufficient measures to prevent water from leaking into the housing 60 from between the touch panel 61D and the housing 60.
[0030] In particular, the front panel cover 612 made of a resin material and the second frame 663 made of a metal material have different thermal expansion coefficients. Here, the space between the front panel cover 612 and the second frame 663 is not completely sealed with adhesive or a sealant, but the first waterproof film 6125 attached to the front panel cover 612 abuts against the second frame 663. Therefore, it is possible to prevent the front panel cover 612 from deforming due to the difference in thermal expansion coefficients while maintaining the abutting state between the first waterproof film 6125 attached to the front panel cover 612 and the second frame 663.
[0031] Furthermore, in the drive unit 6 according to this embodiment, the front panel 611 and the support member 66 are each made of a metal material and are fixed in a state of abutting against each other. Therefore, even if the front panel 611 and the support member 66 thermally expand and contract due to temperature changes, the front panel 611 and the support member 66 have similar thermal expansion coefficients, so that the front panel 611 and the support member 66 can be stably maintained in a fixed state of abutting against each other. Therefore, no unnecessary gap is created between the periphery of the opening 6124 and the touch panel 61D, and a structure that provides even more sufficient measures to prevent water leakage into the housing 60 can be realized.
[0032] Furthermore, in the drive device 6 according to this embodiment, the support member 66 supports the touch panel 61D in an attitude that tilts downward toward the front. This allows for a structure in which a liquid, such as an irrigation fluid, flowing along the front surface of the touch panel 61D flows only in a specific direction (toward the bottom surface 62 of the housing 60). That is, because the drive substrate 61E is located behind the touch panel 61D, the drive substrate 61E is not located in the path of a liquid, such as an irrigation fluid, flowing along the front surface of the touch panel 61D. Therefore, even if the waterproof film 6125 is damaged and a liquid, such as an irrigation fluid, flows along the front surface of the touch panel 61D and penetrates into the housing 60, malfunction of the drive substrate 61E due to the liquid can be prevented. Furthermore, because the gap between the lower end positions of the touch panel 61D and the drive substrate 61E can be increased, even if a liquid, such as an irrigation fluid, remaining at the lower end of the touch panel 61D splashes toward the rear surface of the touch panel 61D along with air flowing toward the interior of the housing 60, the liquid can be prevented from splashing onto the drive substrate 61E.
[0033] Furthermore, in the drive device 6 according to this embodiment, the touch panel 61D and the drive substrate 61E are supported relative to the front panel 611 with the lower end of the touch panel 61D positioned lower than the lower end of the drive substrate 61E. Therefore, even if the waterproof film 6125 is damaged and liquid such as irrigation fluid remaining at the lower end of the touch panel 61D splashes toward the rear side along with air flowing toward the inside of the housing 60, the liquid can be prevented from falling on the drive substrate 61E. Furthermore, because the lower end of the drive substrate 61E can be positioned above the bottom surface portion 62, even if liquid such as irrigation fluid seeps into the inside of the housing 60 and accumulates on the bottom surface portion 62, the drive substrate 61E can be prevented from becoming immersed in the liquid.
[0034] Furthermore, in the drive device 6 according to this embodiment, a pair of damming members 6632 extending along the left and right edges of the touch panel 61D are disposed on the front surface of the touch panel 61D. This allows for a structure in which a liquid such as an irrigation fluid flowing along the front surface of the touch panel 61D flows only in a specific direction (toward the bottom surface 62 of the housing 60). In other words, because the drive substrate 61E is disposed on the rear side of the touch panel 61D, the drive substrate 61E is not located in the path of a liquid such as an irrigation fluid flowing along the front surface of the touch panel 61D. Therefore, even if the waterproof film 6125 is damaged and a liquid such as an irrigation fluid flows along the front surface of the touch panel 61D and penetrates into the housing 60, malfunction of the drive substrate 61E due to the liquid can be avoided.
[0035] Furthermore, in the drive unit 6 according to the present embodiment, a gasket 6111 is provided between the upper surface portion 64 and the front panel 611. This eliminates any gap between the front panel 611 and the upper surface portion 64, thereby further improving waterproofing.
[0036] Other Embodiments Up to this point, the embodiments for carrying out the present invention have been described, but the present invention should not be limited to the above-described embodiments. In the above-described embodiments, the ultrasonic treatment instrument 31 for removing or cutting biological tissue such as bone has been exemplified as an energy treatment instrument according to the present invention, but the present invention is not limited to this. The energy treatment instrument according to the present invention may also be an ultrasonic treatment instrument for sealing or cutting biological tissue such as blood vessels, an energy treatment instrument for treating biological tissue by applying high-frequency energy to the biological tissue, or an energy treatment instrument for treating biological tissue by applying thermal energy to the biological tissue. Here, "applying high-frequency energy to biological tissue" means passing a high-frequency current through the biological tissue. Furthermore, "applying thermal energy to biological tissue" means transferring heat generated by a heater or the like to the biological tissue.
