Abstract
Description
[Technical field]
[0001] The present invention relates to a monopolar filter press type electrolytic cell having a plurality of anodes and a plurality of cathodes which are separate from one another, and an electrolytic cell formed between these electrodes. [Background technology]
[0002] An example of this type of electrolytic cell is described in Patent Document 1. In this electrolytic cell, the anode has a convex shape with a part of it protruding outward more than the other parts, and the protruding part serves as the power supply terminal of the anode. The cathode is formed in the same manner as the anode. In addition, both the anode and the cathode are fitted inside a frame configured so that each power supply terminal protrudes or is exposed to the outside. The anode and the cathode are alternately stacked at a predetermined interval so that the power supply terminal of the anode and the power supply terminal of the cathode are positioned opposite each other in the horizontal direction. In addition, each power supply terminal is positioned at approximately the same height in the height direction of the electrolytic cell. The space between the anode and the cathode in the stacking direction serves as an electrolytic chamber. [Prior art documents] [Patent documents]
[0003] [Patent Document 1] Japanese Patent Application Laid-Open No. 60-125386 Summary of the Invention [Problem to be solved by the invention]
[0004] Here, electrolytic cells are classified into monopolar and bipolar types according to the difference in electrode structure. The difference is that in a bipolar electrolytic cell, it is sufficient to supply power only to the electrodes at both ends of the stacked electrodes, whereas in a monopolar electrolytic cell, power must be supplied to each electrode.
[0005] In general, in an electrolytic cell, it is preferable that the distance between the anode and the cathode (the interelectrode distance) is as narrow as possible in order to suppress ohmic loss and power consumption. However, as described above, in a monopolar electrolytic cell, it is necessary to connect a power supply mechanism to each electrode to supply power, which makes it difficult to shorten the interelectrode distance.
[0006] In the electrolytic cell described in Patent Document 1, as described above, the anode power supply terminal and the cathode power supply terminal are located on opposite sides of each other, but the power supply terminals are disposed adjacent to each other in the stacking direction, and are located at approximately the same height in the height direction of the electrolytic cell. Therefore, if the distance between the anode and the cathode is narrowed, the bolts connecting the electric wires, cables, etc. to the power supply terminals adjacent to each other in the stacking direction may interfere with each other. In other words, there is still room for improvement in reducing ohmic loss and power consumption by narrowing the above distance.
[0007] The present invention has been made in view of the above-mentioned technical problems, and has an object to provide a monopolar filter press type electrolytic cell in which the distance between the electrodes can be made as narrow as possible. [Means for solving the problem]

[0018] Hereinafter, an embodiment of the present invention will be described, however, the present invention is not limited to the following embodiment and can be modified as appropriate within the scope of the present invention.
[0019] (Overall composition) First, an example of the overall configuration of a monopolar filter press type electrolytic cell (hereinafter, simply referred to as an electrolytic cell) according to an embodiment of the present invention will be described, and then an example of the configuration of each electrode will be described. FIG. 1 is an exploded perspective view showing an example of an electrolytic cell according to an embodiment of the present invention. The electrolytic cell 1 shown in FIG. 1 has a pair of end plates 2, 3, a plurality of anodes 4, and a plurality of cathodes 5. The end plates 2, 3 sandwich the anodes 4 and the cathodes 5, and in the example shown here, have a rectangular shape with approximately the same outer shape. The anodes 4 and the cathodes 5 are alternately arranged or stacked between the end plates 2, 3 at a predetermined interval.
[0020] Of the end plates 2, 3, one of them is fixed to a fixed portion (not shown). The other end plate is configured to move toward and away from the other end plate by an actuator (not shown). Specifically, for example, the first end plate 2 is fixed onto a rail (not shown) installed on a floor, ceiling, or the like. The second end plate 3 is attached so as to be movable along the rail, and is configured to move toward the first end plate 2 by thrust generated by the actuator. The actuator may be a conventionally known actuator, such as a hydraulic actuator or a motor.
[0021] In the example shown here, a supply hole (not shown) penetrating the first end plate 2 in the plate thickness direction is formed in the lower part of the first end plate 2 in the up-down direction H or vertical direction of the electrolytic cell 1. A supply pipe 6 is connected to the supply hole. The supply pipe 6 is connected to a supply source of a treatment liquid (not shown), and the treatment liquid to be electrolyzed between the electrodes 4, 5 is supplied to the electrolytic cell 1 via the supply pipe 6.
[0022] Gasket 7 is disposed adjacent to first end plate 2. In the example shown here, gasket 7 has a rectangular sheet shape and is approximately the same size as first end plate 2. Furthermore, supply hole 8 is formed in the lower part of gasket 7 in the up-down direction H of electrolytic cell 1, at approximately the same position as the supply hole of first end plate 2, penetrating gasket 7 in the plate thickness direction.
[0023] The cathode 5 is disposed adjacent to the packing 7 in the stacking direction L of the first end plate 2 and the packing 7. In the example shown here, the cathode 5 is substantially rectangular, and the length along the width direction W or horizontal direction of the electrolytic cell 1 is set slightly longer than the length along the up-down direction H of the electrolytic cell 1. This is because, for example, the packing 7 and a spacer 13 described later are stacked offset to one side in the width direction W of the electrolytic cell 1 relative to the cathode 5, so that a power feed bar 9 is attached to the other side of the cathode 5. In other words, the other side of the cathode 5 functions as a cathode-side power feed terminal 5A. A cathode-side electric wire 10 connected to a power source (not shown) via the power feed bar 9 is connected to the cathode-side power feed terminal 5A so as to be electrically connected. The configuration of the power feed bar 9 will be described later.
[0024] Furthermore, in the stacking direction L, the surface of the cathode 5 facing the first end plate 2 is almost entirely covered by the above-mentioned packing 7. This is because, in the cathode 5, an electrolytic chamber (described later) is formed only on one of the two surfaces of the electrolytic cell 1 in the stacking direction L, the surface being opposite the first end plate 2. As a result, only one surface functions as an electrode, and the other surface does not function as an electrode, and therefore the other surface that does not function as an electrode is covered.
[0025] A supply hole 8 penetrating the cathode 5 in the plate thickness direction is formed below the cathode 5 in the up-down direction H of the electrolytic cell 1 and at approximately the same position as the supply hole of the first end plate 2. When the packing 7 and the cathode 5 are overlapped and their supply holes 8 are approximately aligned with each other, a supply flow path for the treatment liquid communicating with the supply pipe 6 and the electrolysis chamber is formed. A discharge hole 11 penetrating the cathode 5 in the plate thickness direction is formed above the cathode 5 in the up-down direction H of the electrolytic cell 1. The discharge hole 11 will be described later.
[0026] A frame-shaped packing 12, a spacer 13, and an anode 4 are arranged in this order adjacent to the cathode 5 on the opposite side of the packing 7 in the stacking direction L. The packing 12 and the spacer 13 are both frame-shaped and have approximately the same size and external shape as the first end plate 2. Therefore, when the packing 12 and the spacer 13 are stacked on top of each other, a space is formed inside the packing 12 and the spacer 13. The anode 4 and the cathode 5 face each other with the space in the stacking direction L of the electrolytic cell 1. Therefore, this space functions as the electrolytic chamber 14. In the electrolytic cell 1 according to the embodiment of the present invention, since it is necessary to supply a treatment liquid to the electrolytic chamber 14, an opening 15 that communicates with the supply pipe 6, the supply hole 8, etc. and opens to the electrolytic chamber 14 is formed at the lower part of the packing 12 and the spacer 13 in the vertical direction H of the electrolytic cell 1.
[0027] 1, the above-mentioned packing 12 and spacer 13 are arranged offset to one side in the width direction W of the electrolytic cell 1 with respect to the cathode 5, while being offset to the other side in the width direction W of the electrolytic cell 1 with respect to the anode 4. Therefore, one side of the anode 4 functions as an anode-side power supply terminal 4A. An anode-side electric wire 16, which is connected to a power source (not shown) via a power supply bar 9, is electrically connected to the anode-side power supply terminal 4A.
[0028] A supply hole 8 is formed in the lower part of the anode 4 in the vertical direction H of the electrolytic cell 1, like the cathode 5, penetrating the anode 4 in the plate thickness direction and communicating with the supply pipe 6. Furthermore, when the treatment liquid is electrolyzed in the electrolytic chamber 14, gas corresponding to the type and components of the treatment liquid is generated in the anode 4 and the cathode 5. In order to facilitate the discharge of the gas from the electrolytic chamber 14, a discharge hole 11 is formed in the upper part of the anode 4 in the vertical direction H of the electrolytic cell 1 and in the center in the width direction W of the electrolytic cell 1, penetrating in the plate thickness direction. Here, the "upper part of the anode 4" where the discharge hole 11 is formed specifically means the upper part of the anode 4 in the vertical direction H of the electrolytic cell 1 among the parts that do not contact the packing 12, the spacer 13, etc. That is, it means the upper part of the electrolytic chamber 14. Similarly, a discharge hole 11 is formed in the cathode 5.
[0029] The packing 12, the spacer 13, and the cathode 5 are arranged in this order adjacent to the anode 4. In this manner, in the example shown in Fig. 1, the packing 12, the spacer 13, and the anode 4 or the cathode 5 form one unit, which is repeatedly arranged multiple times between the pair of end plates 2, 3. As an example, five anodes 4 and six cathodes 5 may be arranged between the pair of end plates 2, 3.
[0030] In the example shown in FIG. 1, the cathode 5 is disposed closest to the second end plate 3 in the stacking direction L of the electrodes 4, 5. A packing 17 is disposed between the cathode 5 and the second end plate 3. The packing 17 is formed in a rectangular sheet shape similar to the packing 7 located closest to the first end plate 2 in the stacking direction L of the electrolytic cell 1. This is because, in the cathode 5 closest to the second end plate 3, of both sides in the stacking direction L of the electrolytic cell 1, only the face on the first end plate 2 side functions as an electrode, and the face on the opposite side does not function as an electrode, and therefore the packing 17 covers the face that does not function as an electrode. Therefore, the supply hole 8 is not formed in the packing 17. A discharge hole 11 penetrating in the plate thickness direction is formed at the top of the packing 17 in the vertical direction H of the electrolytic cell 1 and at the center of the width direction W of the electrolytic cell 1.
[0031] A hole communicating with the discharge hole 11 is formed in the upper part of the second end plate 3 in the vertical direction H of the electrolytic cell 1 and in the center in the width direction W of the electrolytic cell 1, and a discharge pipe 18 is connected to the hole. The inside diameter of the discharge pipe 18 is set to be larger, i.e., thicker, than that of the supply pipe 6 in order to flow the gas together with the treatment liquid. This is to facilitate the discharge of the gas described above.
[0032] (Configuration of electrodes 4 and 5) Here, the configuration of each electrode 4, 5 in the embodiment of the present invention will be described. In the embodiment of the present invention, the anode 4 and the cathode 5 are each composed of two types of plates that are configured almost the same. FIG. 2 is a diagram showing an example of two types of plates that configure each electrode 4, 5, in which FIG. 2(A) shows a first plate of the two types of plates, and FIG. 2(B) shows a second plate of the two types of plates. The first plate shown in FIG. 2(A) and the second plate shown in FIG. 2(B) are configured almost the same except that the formation patterns of the bolt holes for attaching the power supply bar 9 to the plates are different from each other. Therefore, the first plate shown in FIG. 2(A) will be mainly described, and the same reference numerals will be given to the configuration of the second plate shown in FIG. 2(B) that is the same as that of the first plate shown in FIG. 2(A) and the description thereof will be omitted.
[0033] As shown in FIG. 2A, the first plate 19 is substantially rectangular in shape, with a length along the width direction W of the electrolytic cell 1 being slightly longer than a length along the up-down direction H of the electrolytic cell 1. A plurality of first bolt holes 20 are formed at regular intervals along the boundary between the electrolytic cell 14 and the first plate 19, in a portion outside the boundary (the boundary is shown by a dashed line in FIG. 2A) with the electrolytic cell 14. The first bolt holes 20 are for positioning the packings 7, 12, 17, the spacer 13, the electrodes 4, 5, etc., which are disposed between the end plates 2, 3, relative to each other, and for maintaining them in a state of close contact or engagement with each other. Therefore, although not shown in detail, bolt holes similar to the first bolt hole 20 are formed in the end plates 2, 3, the packings 7, 12, 17, the spacer 13, the second plate 22, etc., at positions corresponding to the first bolt hole 20 of the first plate 19. Therefore, when the packings 7, 12, 17, spacer 13, electrodes 4, 5, etc. are arranged between the end plates 2, 3 and the first bolt holes 20 are aligned and bolts (not shown) are passed through, the end plates 2, 3, packings 7, 12, 17, spacer 13, electrodes 4, 5, etc. are positioned relative to one another in the vertical direction H and width direction W of the electrolytic cell 1. Then, by attaching nuts to the bolts and tightening the bolts and nuts, the packings 7, 12, 17, spacer 13, electrodes 4, 5, etc. are sandwiched between the end plates 2, 3 and maintained in a state of close contact or engagement with one another.
[0034] As shown in FIG. 2A, a plurality of second bolt holes 21A are formed at regular intervals in the vertical direction H in first plate 19 in a portion 19A (the right side portion of first plate 19 in FIG. 2A; hereinafter simply referred to as power supply terminal) outer than first bolt hole 20 in the width direction W. These second bolt holes 21A are for attaching power supply bar 9 to first plate 19, and are formed at the same intervals in the vertical direction H and in the same number as the bolt holes formed in power supply bar 9. In the example shown here, the hole size of second bolt holes 21A is set to be smaller than the hole size of first bolt hole 20, and five of them are formed at regular intervals in the vertical direction H.
[0035] As shown in Fig. 2B, the second plate 22 is configured in a manner similar to that of the first plate 19. Specifically, second bolt holes 21B are formed at regular intervals in the up-down direction H in the power supply terminal 22A of the second plate 22 shown in Fig. 2B. The second bolt holes 21B are formed shifted in the up-down direction H in Fig. 2 with respect to the second bolt holes 21A of the first plate 19 shown in Fig. 2A. More specifically, the second bolt holes 21A of the first plate 19 shown in Fig. 2A and the second bolt holes 21B of the second plate 22 shown in Fig. 2B are both formed so as to be alternately arranged at regular intervals in the up-down direction H. When the anode side electric wire 16 or the cathode side electric wire 10 is connected to the power supply terminal 19A of the first plate 19, the first plate 19 functions as the anode 4 or the cathode 5, and the power supply terminal 19A functions as the anode side electric wire 4A or the cathode side electric wire 5A. Similarly, when the anode side electric wire 16 or the cathode side electric wire 10 is connected to the power supply terminal 22A of the second plate 22, the second plate 22 functions as the anode 4 or the cathode 5, and the power supply terminal 22A functions as the anode side electric wire 4A or the cathode side electric wire 5A.
[0036] In this manner, each of the electrodes 4, 5 in the embodiment of the present invention is composed of two types of plates 19, 22. In the electrolytic cell 1 according to the embodiment of the present invention, the anode side power supply terminal 4A of the anode 4 and the cathode side power supply terminal 5A of the cathode 5 are arranged on opposite sides of the electrodes 4, 5 in the width direction W. That is, when the plates 19, 22 arranged as shown in Fig. 2(A) or (B) are made to function as the anode 4, the plates 19, 22 arranged as shown in Fig. 2(A) or (B) are made to function as the cathode 5 by flipping the plates 19, 22 arranged as shown in Fig. 2(A) or (B) left to right.
[0037] Therefore, when constructing the electrolytic cell 1 shown in FIG. 1, for example, the anode 4 is alternately stacked in the stacking direction L with the anode 4 configured with the first plate 19 arranged as shown in FIG. 2(A) and the anode 4 configured with the second plate 22 arranged as shown in FIG. 2(B). In addition, the cathode 5 is alternately stacked in the stacking direction L with the cathode 5 configured with the first plate 19 that is inverted from the first plate 19 that constitutes the anode 4, and the cathode 5 configured with the second plate 22 that is inverted from the second plate 22 that constitutes the anode 4. This prevents or suppresses interference between the bolts that attach the power supply bars 9 to the power supply terminals 19A, 22A between the anodes 4 or between the cathodes 5 that are adjacent to each other in the stacking direction L. In addition, interference between the cathode side electric wires 10 and the anode side electric wires 16 that are adjacent to each other in the stacking direction L is prevented or suppressed.
[0038] (Configuration of power supply bar 9) The configuration of the power feed bar 9 will be described. In the embodiment of the present invention, the power feed bar 9 is composed of three types of L-shaped plate pieces having different lengths in the vertical direction H. In each power feed bar 9, bolt holes are formed in a formation pattern corresponding to the formation pattern of the second bolt holes 21A, 21B in the plates 19, 22 constituting each electrode 4, 5. In other words, three power feed bars 9 having different lengths are attached to each of the plates 19, 22, and therefore the electrolytic cell 1 in the embodiment of the present invention has a total of six power feed bars 9.
[0039] FIG. 3 is a diagram showing an example of a power feed bar 9 in an embodiment of the present invention, in which FIG. 3(A) shows an example of each power feed bar 9 attached to a first plate 19, and FIG. 3(B) shows an example of each power feed bar 9 attached to a second plate 22. Each power feed bar 9 shown in FIG. 3(A) and each power feed bar 9 shown in FIG. 3(B) are configured almost the same except for the formation pattern of bolt holes for attachment to each electrode 4, 5. Therefore, in the following description, each power feed bar 9 shown in FIG. 3(A) will be described, and each power feed bar 9 shown in FIG. 3(B) will be omitted. Note that "A" is added to the reference symbol of each power feed bar 9 shown in FIG. 3(A), and "B" is added to the reference symbol of each power feed bar 9 shown in FIG. 3(B).
[0040] Of the power feed bars 9A1, 9A2, and 9A3 shown in Fig. 3A, the first power feed bar 9A1 has the shortest length in the up-down direction H and has an attachment portion 23A1 extending in the up-down direction H and an extension portion 24A1 extending in a direction perpendicular to the attachment portion 23A1, i.e., in the width direction W of the electrolytic cell 1. As shown in Fig. 3A, the length of the attachment portion 23A1 is set to be longer than the height of the first plate 19 when the height of the lower end of the first power feed bar 9A1 and the height of the lower end of the first plate 19 in the up-down direction H are approximately equal. Of the attachment portion 23A1, the extension portion 24A1 is formed on a protruding portion 25A1 that protrudes upward beyond the upper end of the first plate 19 in the up-down direction H.
[0041] A plurality of third bolt holes 26A1 are formed in the mounting portion 23A1 at regular intervals in the up-down direction H. As shown in Fig. 3A, each third bolt hole 26A1 is formed at approximately the same height as each second bolt hole 21A of the first plate 19 in a state in which the height of the lower end of the first power supply bar 9A1 and the height of the lower end of the first plate 19 are approximately the same in the up-down direction H. In other words, each third bolt hole 26A1 and each second bolt hole 21A are formed to coincide with each other when the lower end of the first power supply bar 9A1 and the lower end of the first plate 19 are aligned and overlapped with each other.
[0042] Furthermore, when the power feed bar 9A1 is attached to the first plate 19, the extension portion 24A1 extends in the width direction W toward the opposite side to the first plate 19. The length of the extension portion 24A1 is set to be the longest among the three power feed bars 9A1, 9A2, and 9A3. A fourth bolt hole 27A1 is formed at the tip of the extension portion 24A1, and the anode side electric wire 16 or the cathode side electric wire 10 is bolted to the first power feed bar 9A1 using the fourth bolt hole 27A1.
[0043] The third power feed bar 9A3 has the longest length in the up-down direction H among the three power feed bars 9A1, 9A2, and 9A3. Specifically, the length of a protruding portion 25A3 protruding upward from the upper end of the first plate 19 in the up-down direction H is the longest among the three power feed bars 9A1, 9A2, and 9A3. Also, the length of an extending portion 24A3 of the third power feed bar 9A3 in the width direction W is the shortest among the three power feed bars 9A1, 9A2, and 9A3. Since other configurations are similar to those of the first power feed bar 9A1, similar reference numerals are used to designate configurations similar to those of the first power feed bar 9A1, and description thereof will be omitted.
[0044] The length of the second power feed bar 9A2 in the vertical direction H is set to the length between the first power feed bar 9A1 and the third power feed bar 9A3. That is, the length of the protruding portion 25A2 protruding above the upper end of the first plate 19 in the vertical direction H is set to the intermediate length between the length of the protruding portion 25A1 of the first power feed bar 9A1 and the length of the protruding portion 25A3 of the third power feed bar 9A3. In addition, the length of the extending portion 24A2 of the second power feed bar 9A2 in the width direction W is set to the intermediate length between the length of the extending portion 24A1 of the first power feed bar 9A2 and the length of the extending portion 24A3 of the third power feed bar 9A3. Since the other configurations are the same as those of the first power feed bar 9A1, the same reference numerals are used for the same configurations as those of the first power feed bar 9A1, and the description thereof will be omitted.
[0045] A plurality of third bolt holes 26B1, 26B2, 26B3 are formed at regular intervals in the up-down direction H in the mounting portions 23B1, 23B2, 23B3 of the power feed bars 9B1, 9B2, 9B3 attached to the second plate 22. As shown in FIG. 3B, the third bolt holes 26B1, 26B2, 26B3 are formed at substantially the same height as the second bolt holes 21B of the second plate 22 in a state in which the height of the lower end of each power feed bar 9B1, 9B2, 9B3 and the height of the lower end of the second plate 22 are substantially equal in the up-down direction H. That is, the third bolt holes 26B1, 26B2, 26B3 are formed so as to match the second bolt holes 21B when the lower end of each power feed bar 9B1, 9B2, 9B3 and the lower end of the second plate 22 are aligned and overlapped with each other. Other configurations of the power feed bars 9B1, 9B2, and 9B3 attached to the second plate 22 are similar to those of the power feed bars 9A1, 9A2, and 9A3 attached to the first plate 19, and therefore, as described above, "B" is added to the reference characters of the components of the power feed bars 9B1, 9B2, and 9B3 shown in Fig. 3B, and the description thereof is omitted. In the following description, the power feed bars 9A1, 9A2, and 9A3 shown in Fig. 3A may be referred to as A-dimension power feed bars 9A1, 9A2, and 9A3, respectively, and the power feed bars B1, 9B2, and 9B3 shown in Fig. 3B may be referred to as B-dimension power feed bars B1, 9B2, and 9B3, respectively.
[0046] The operation of the electrolytic cell 1 according to the embodiment of the present invention having the above-mentioned configuration will be described. When constructing the electrolytic cell 1 shown in FIG. 1, for example, a sheet-like packing 7 is laminated on a first end plate 2 fixed on a rail (not shown). One of a first plate 19 and a second plate 22, for example, the first plate 19 (hereinafter, sometimes referred to as the first plate in the stacking direction L), is laminated on the packing 7. In the example shown in FIG. 1, the power supply terminal 19A (cathode side power supply terminal 5A) of the first plate 19 is located on the other side in the width direction W of the electrolytic cell 1.
[0047] On the first plate 19, a frame-shaped packing 12, a spacer 13, and one of the first plate 19 and the second plate 22, for example, the first plate 19 (hereinafter, may be referred to as the second plate in the stacking direction L), are stacked in this order. The second plate (first plate 19) in the stacking direction L is stacked in a state in which it is inverted left and right from the first plate (first plate 19) in the stacking direction L described above. Therefore, as shown in FIG. 1, the power supply terminals 19A of each first plate 19, that is, the anode side power supply terminal 4A and the cathode side power supply terminal 5A, are located on opposite sides to each other in the width direction W.
[0048] A frame-shaped packing 12, a spacer 13, and a second plate 22 (hereinafter, sometimes referred to as the third plate in the stacking direction L) are stacked in this order on the second plate (first plate 19) in the stacking direction L. At this time, the third plate (second plate 22) is stacked such that the power supply terminal 22A of the third plate and the power supply terminal 19A of the second plate are positioned on opposite sides of each other in the width direction W.
[0049] Then, the frame-shaped packing 12, the spacer 13, and the second plate 22 (hereinafter, may be referred to as the fourth plate in the stacking direction L) are stacked on the third plate (second plate 22) in this order. At this time, the fourth plate (second plate 22) is stacked such that the power supply terminal 22A of the fourth plate and the power supply terminal 22A of the third plate are positioned on opposite sides of each other in the width direction W.
[0050] As described above, in the embodiment of the present invention, packing 12, spacer 13, and first plate 19 or second plate 22 are regarded as one unit, and this is repeatedly stacked multiple times. Then, second end plate 3 is stacked on the plate located closest to second end plate 3 in stacking direction L (second plate 22 in the example shown in FIG. 1) via sheet-like packing 17. Then, the above-mentioned electrodes 4, 5, packings 7, 12, 17, spacer 13, etc. are brought into close contact with or engaged with one another by an actuator (not shown).
[0051] Further, in the embodiment of the present invention, the A-dimension first power feed bar 9A1 shown in FIG. 3A is bolted to the power feed terminal 19A of the first plate 19, which is the first plate in the stacking direction L. Specifically, bolts are inserted into the second bolt hole 21A of the first plate 19 and the third bolt hole 26A1 of the A-dimension first power feed bar 9A1, which are stacked on top of each other, and the A-dimension first power feed bar 9A1 shown in FIG. 3A is bolted to the power feed terminal 19A of the first plate 19. These bolts correspond to the connection parts of the power feed bar to the anode side power feed terminal and the cathode side power feed terminal in the embodiment of the present invention. Then, the cathode side electric wire 10 is bolted to the extension part 24A1 of the A-dimension first power feed bar 9A1 so that electricity can be conducted. Also, the B-dimension second power feed bar 9B2 shown in FIG. 3B is bolted to the power feed terminal 22A of the second plate 22, which is the third plate in the stacking direction L. Specifically, bolts are inserted into the second bolt hole 21B of the overlapping second plate 22 and the third bolt hole 26B2 of the B-dimension second power feed bar 9B2, and the B-dimension second power feed bar 9B2 shown in Fig. 3B is bolted to the power feed terminal 22A of the second plate 22. Then, the cathode side wire 10 is electrically connected to the extension 24B2 of the B-dimension second power feed bar 9B2 with a bolt.
[0052] 3A is bolted to the power supply terminal 19A of the first plate 19, which is the second plate in the stacking direction L. Specifically, bolts are inserted into the second bolt hole 21A of the first plate 19 and the third bolt hole 26A1 of the A-dimension first power supply bar 9A1, which are stacked on top of each other, and the A-dimension first power supply bar 9A1 is bolted to the power supply terminal 19A of the first plate 19. The anode side electric wire 16 is connected to the extension 24A1 of the A-dimension first power supply bar 9A1 with a bolt so that electricity can be conducted. The B-dimension second power supply bar 9B2 is bolted to the power supply terminal 22A of the second plate 22, which is the fourth plate in the stacking direction L. Then, the anode side wire 16 is electrically connected to the extension 24B2 of the B-dimension second power feed bar 9B2 with a bolt.
[0053] Thus, in the embodiment of the present invention, the anodes 4 and the cathodes 5 adjacent to each other in the stacking direction L are formed of different plates 19 and 22. In addition, the bolt holes 21A and 26A for attaching the A-dimension first power feed bar 9A1 to the first plate 19 and the bolt holes 21B and 26B for attaching the B-dimension second power feed bar 9B2 to the second plate 22 are formed at different positions in the vertical direction H. Therefore, the bolts for attaching the first power feed bar 9A1 to the first plate 19 and the bolts for attaching the second power feed bar 9B2 to the second plate 22 are offset from each other in the vertical direction H. FIG. 4 shows this state. Therefore, it is possible to prevent or suppress interference between those bolts. This allows the distance between the electrodes 4 and 5 to be as narrow as possible, thereby reducing ohmic loss and power consumption in the electrolytic cell 1.
[0054] In the embodiment of the present invention, the lengths of, for example, the power feed bars 9A1, 9B2 attached to the plates 19, 22 are different from each other. That is, the lengths of the protrusions 25A1, 25B2 in the up-down direction H are different from each other. Therefore, when the anode side electric wire 16 and the cathode side electric wire 10 are connected to the power feed bars 9A1, 9B2, the connection portions, i.e., the positions of the bolts, are shifted from each other in the up-down direction H. More specifically, since the electric wires 10, 16 are connected to the tips of the extensions 24A1, 24B2 of the power feed bars 9A1, 9B2, the connection portions are also shifted from each other in the width direction W. FIG. 5 shows this state. Therefore, even if the electric wires 10, 16 are thick and the bolts connecting the electric wires 10, 16 to the power feed bars 9A1, 9B2 are large in size in order to apply a large current to the electrolytic cell 1, it is possible to prevent or suppress interference between the electric wires 10, 16 adjacent to each other in the stacking direction L and between the bolts connecting the power feed bars 9A1, 9B2 to the electric wires 10, 16. This makes it possible to make the distance between the electrodes 4, 5 as narrow as possible, thereby reducing ohmic loss and power consumption in the entire device.
[0055] Furthermore, in the embodiment of the present invention, the electrolysis chamber 14 is configured to supply the treatment liquid from below in the vertical direction H, and to discharge the gas generated by electrolysis together with the treatment liquid from above in the vertical direction H. Therefore, the gas can be smoothly discharged from the electrolysis chamber 14. In other words, since gas is unlikely to remain in the electrolysis chamber 14, the contact area between the treatment liquid and the electrodes 4, 5 can be increased as a whole of the device, and electricity can be efficiently passed through the treatment liquid. In addition, since the electrolysis chamber 14 is not provided with an ion exchange membrane or the like, it is possible to prevent or suppress a situation in which the deposit generated by electrolysis adheres to the ion exchange membrane, hindering the flow of the treatment liquid, or the electrodes 4, 5 are electrically connected to each other.
[0056] The present invention is not limited to the above-described embodiment, and for example, the electrolysis chamber 14 may be formed such that one of its four corners is located higher in the vertical direction H than the other three corners. Then, the discharge hole 11 is formed near the upper corner in the vertical direction H. With this configuration, the gas can be collected at the corner located higher in the vertical direction H, making it easier to discharge the gas. [Explanation of symbols]
