DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS
[0007] Hereinafter, an embodiment of the present invention will be described with reference to the drawings. Figures 1 to 9 show one embodiment of the pull handle 1 of the present invention, and Figure 10 shows a door (sliding door) 2 to which the pull handle 1 is attached. As shown in Figure 9, the pull handle 1 is composed of a front pull handle 1a that is attached from the front side to a mounting hole 3 formed in the door 2, and a rear pull handle 1b that is attached from the rear side to the mounting hole 3 in the door 2. The front pull handle 1a and the rear pull handle 1b are made of hard resin. The door 2 is made of wood, for example, and the mounting hole 3 of the pull handle 1 is formed in the shape of a vertically long hole that penetrates the front and rear surfaces. The front pull handle 1a and the rear pull handle 1b are exactly the same, but as shown in FIG. 8(a), the rear pull handle 1b is oriented in the opposite direction to the front pull handle 1a, and as shown in FIG. 8(b), it is used upside down. In addition, the terms "front side" and "rear side" simply refer to one side of the door 2 in the fore-and-aft direction as the "front side" and the other side as the "rear side," so either side of the door 2 can be the front side.
[0008] As shown in Figures 2 to 5, the front pull tab 1a and the rear pull tab 1b have a bottomed recess 11 that is inserted into the mounting hole 3 of the door 2, and a flange 12 that protrudes outward from the open edge of the bottomed recess 11. The bottomed recess 11 has a bottom wall 13, side walls 14, 15 on the leading and trailing sides, and a semicircular upper wall 16 and lower wall 17. The bottomed recess 11 is for inserting fingers when opening or closing the door 2, and has a finger hook 18 on the trailing side that protrudes inward.
[0009] As shown in Figures 2 and 3, the front pull tab 1a has an elastically deformable portion 4a protruding rearward from the back surface of the flange 12 at a position slightly lower than the center in the vertical direction on the door end side. The elastically deformable portion 4a is formed in a plate shape along the vertical direction. The outer peripheral side of the tip of the elastically deformable portion 4a has multiple protrusions 19 that bite into the mounting hole 3 of the door 2. The protrusions 19 are arranged in three rows in the direction of insertion into the mounting hole 3. In the first and third rows from the front side in the insertion direction, two protrusions 19 are arranged vertically, and in the second row, three protrusions 19 are arranged vertically, with the positions of the protrusions 19 shifted vertically between adjacent rows. Each protrusion 19 is formed in an approximately pyramid shape, and as shown in Figure 1, it has an inclined surface 19a on the front side in the insertion direction into the mounting hole 3 and a vertical surface 19b on the rear side in the insertion direction. A gap S is provided between the elastic deformation portion 4a and the side wall 15 of the bottomed recess 11 on the door end side (see FIG. 1). The rear pull tab 1b is formed with an elastically deformable portion 4b protruding forward from the rear surface of the flange 12 at a position slightly above the center in the vertical direction on the door end side.
[0010] 1 to 3, rear pull handle 1b has a wedge portion 5b protruding forward at a position slightly lower than the vertical center on the trailing edge side. The wedge portion 5b is inserted into the gap S between the elastic deformation portion 4a of front pull handle 1a and the trailing edge side wall 15 of bottomed recess 11. Wedge portion 5b is formed in a horizontal, narrow plate shape, with the width of its tip being narrower than the gap S between the elastic deformation portion 4a of front pull handle 1a and the trailing edge side wall 15 of bottomed recess 11, and a tapered portion 20 is provided on the outer periphery midway to make the width at its base larger than the gap S. Wedge portion 5b is provided at a position midway in the vertical width direction of elastic deformation portion 4a of front pull handle 1a. The front pull tab 1a has a wedge portion 5a located slightly above the center in the vertical direction on the door tail side.
[0011] As shown in Figure 1(a), when the front pull handle 1a is fitted from the front side and the rear pull handle 1b is fitted from the rear side into the mounting hole 3 of the door 2, as shown in Figure 1(b), the wedge portion 5b of the rear pull handle 1b is inserted into the gap S between the elastic deformation portion 4a of the front pull handle 1a and the side wall 15 on the door end side of the bottomed recess 11, and the wedge portion 5a of the front pull handle 1a is inserted into the gap S between the elastic deformation portion 4b of the rear pull handle 1b and the side wall 15 on the door end side of the bottomed recess 11, and each elastic deformation portion 4a, 4b is pushed by the tapered portions 20 of the wedge portions 5a, 5b and elastically deforms so as to bend toward the outer periphery, so that the outer peripheral side surface of their tip portions is pressed against the mounting hole 3 of the door 2, and multiple protrusions 19 provided on the outer peripheral side surfaces of the elastic deformation portions 4a, 4b bite into the mounting hole 3. As a result, the front pull tab 1a and the rear pull tab 1b are stretched left and right within the mounting hole 3 to prevent rattling, and the protrusions 19 bite into the mounting hole 3 to prevent them from coming off the mounting hole 3, so that the front pull tab 1a and the rear pull tab 1b can be firmly attached to the mounting hole 3. The elastic deformation portions 4a, 4b may be provided on the door end side, but since a greater force is generally applied to the handle 1 when a sliding door is opened than when it is closed, it is more preferable to provide the elastic deformation portions 4a, 4b on the door end side as in this embodiment, because the force applied to the handle 1 when the door is opened causes the protrusion 19 to bite deeper into the mounting hole 3.
[0012] As shown in Figures 2 to 5, on the side surfaces of the front and rear ends of the front pull handle 1a, an engagement protrusion 6a with an arrowhead-shaped tip is formed at a lower position in the vertical middle part and protrudes toward the rear. On the outer peripheral side surface at the base side of the engagement protrusion 6a, a plurality of protrusions 10 are provided that bite into the mounting hole 3 when the front pull handle 1a is fitted into the mounting hole 3 of the door 2. The protrusions 10 are arranged in three rows in the insertion direction into the mounting hole 3, similar to the protrusions 19 of the elastic deformation parts 4a and 4b described above, and the positions of the protrusions 10 in adjacent rows are shifted up and down. Also, like the protrusions 19 of the elastic deformation parts 4a and 4b (see Figure 1), the protrusions 10 have an inclined surface on the front side in the insertion direction into the mounting hole 3 and a vertical surface on the rear side in the insertion direction. The rear handle 1b has an arrowhead-shaped engagement protrusion 6b formed at a position near the upper middle part of the vertical direction on the side surface at the door leading end and the door trailing end, which protrudes toward the front, and multiple protrusions 10 that fit into the mounting hole 3 are provided on the outer peripheral side surface at the base side of the engagement protrusion 6b.
[0013] 2 and 4, the rear pull handle 1b has a receiving portion 7b protruding forward at a lower position in the vertical middle part of the side surface on the leading and trailing sides of the door. The receiving portion 7b is made of a pair of elastic pieces 9, 9 having a hook portion 8 that engages with the arrowhead-shaped tip of the engaging projection 6a of the front pull handle 1a. The outer peripheral side surface on the base side of the receiving portion 7b has a plurality of projections 10, which bite into the mounting hole 3 when the rear pull handle 1b is fitted into the mounting hole 3 of the door 2, just like the base side of the engaging projection 6a. The front pull handle 1a has a receiving portion 7a for the engaging protrusion 6b of the rear pull handle 1b formed at a position toward the upper middle part of the vertical direction of the side surface on the door leading and trailing sides, which protrudes toward the rear, and multiple protrusions 10 that fit into the mounting hole 3 are provided on the outer peripheral side surface at the base side of the receiving portion 7a.
[0014] When the front pull handle 1a is fitted into the mounting hole 3 of the door 2 from the front side and the rear pull handle 1b is fitted into the mounting hole 3 of the door 2 from the rear side, as shown in Figs. 6 and 7, the engagement protrusions 6a provided on the lower side of the front pull handle 1a on the door leading side and the door trailing side resiliently engage with the receiving part 7b of the rear pull handle 1b, and the engagement protrusions 6b provided on the upper side of the rear pull handle 1b on the door leading side and the door trailing side resiliently engage with the receiving part 7a of the front pull handle 1a, so that they cannot be removed even if pulled. As a result, the front pull handle 1a and the rear pull handle 1b are inseparably joined, and the door 2 is sandwiched between the flanges 12 of the front pull handle 1a and the rear pull handle 1b from the front and rear. Furthermore, the engagement protrusions 6a, 6b and the protrusions 10 formed on the outer peripheral side of the base side of the receiving parts 7a, 7b bite into the mounting hole 3. As a result, the pull handle 1 is firmly attached so that it will not fall out of the mounting hole 3.
[0015] As shown in FIG. 2, a plate-shaped male fitting portion 21 is provided on the top surface of the front pull handle 1a, protruding rearward. Saw-tooth-shaped interlocking teeth 22 are provided on both left and right edges of the male fitting portion 21. The interlocking teeth 22 have an inclined surface 22a on the front side in the direction of insertion into the mounting hole 3 of the door 2, and a vertical surface 22b on the rear side in the direction of insertion (the same applies to the interlocking teeth of other parts described below). A female fitting portion 23 that fits with the male fitting portion 21 of the front pull handle 1a is provided on the top surface of the rear pull handle 1b, protruding forward. The female fitting portion 23 also has saw-tooth-shaped interlocking teeth 22 on the left and right inner edges that come into contact with the male fitting portion 21. As shown in FIG. 3, a male fitting portion 21 is provided on the underside of rear pull tab 1b so as to protrude forward, and a female fitting portion 23 is provided on the underside of front pull tab 1a so as to protrude rearward.
[0016] When the front pull tab 1a is fitted from the front side and the rear pull tab 1b is fitted from the rear side into the mounting hole 3 of the door 2, the above-mentioned male fitting portion 21 and female fitting portion 23 fit together with their interlocking teeth 22 meshing with each other, as shown in Figures 6 and 7, and the upper and lower portions of the front pull tab 1a and the rear pull tab 1b are joined together so that they do not separate.
[0017] 2 and 3, connecting parts 24a are provided protruding rearward at two locations: between the receiving part 7a on the side surface of the front pull tab 1a at the end of the door and the wedge part 5a, and between the elastic deformation part 4a and the engagement protrusion 6a. The connecting part 24a is rod-shaped with an L-shaped cross section (see FIG. 2), and has saw-tooth-like interlocking teeth 25 formed on its underside. Two connecting parts 24b are provided protruding forward from the rear pull tab 1b at two positions: between the engaging projection 6b on the side surface of the rear pull tab 1b at the end of the door and the elastic deformation part 4b, and between the wedge part 5b and the receiving part 7b. The connecting part 24b is rod-shaped with an L-shaped cross section, and has saw-tooth-like interlocking teeth 25 formed on its upper surface.
[0018] When the front pull tab 1a is fitted from the front side and the rear pull tab 1b is fitted from the rear side into the mounting hole 3 of the door 2, the underside of the connecting portion 24a of the front pull tab 1a and the upper surface of the connecting portion 24b of the rear pull tab 1b come into contact with each other with the interlocking teeth 25 meshing with each other, preventing the front pull tab 1a and the rear pull tab 1b from separating in the front-to-rear direction, as shown in Figures 6 and 7.
[0019] As shown in Figure 4, the front pull handle 1a and the rear pull handle 1b have multiple protrusions 26 on their side faces on the door edge. As shown in Figure 9, the mounting hole 3 of the door 2 has a recess 27 that bulges outward on the door edge side, so that the front pull handle 1a and the rear pull handle 1b can only be mounted in a direction that allows the protrusions 26 to be accommodated in the recess 27. This prevents the front pull handle 1a and the rear pull handle 1b from being mounted with the door edge and the door tail facing in the opposite direction.
[0020] As described above, this pull handle 1 comprises a front pull handle 1a which is attached from the front into the mounting hole 3 of the door 2, and a rear pull handle 1b which is attached from the rear into the mounting hole 3 of the door 2, the front pull handle 1a having an elastic deformation portion 4a and the rear pull handle 1b having a wedge portion 5b, and when the front pull handle 1a and the rear pull handle 1b are fitted into the mounting hole 3 of the door 2 from the front and rear respectively, the elastic deformation portion 4a is pressed by the wedge portion 5b and elastically deforms outward and is pressed against the mounting hole 3, thereby enabling it to be firmly attached to the door 2. Furthermore, the pull handle 1 has protrusions 19 on the elastically deforming portions 4a, 4b that bite into the mounting holes 3 of the door 2, so that the protrusions 19 bite into the mounting holes 3, thereby preventing the pull handle 1 from coming out of the mounting holes 3. In addition, in this pull handle 1, the elastic deformation portions 4a, 4b are pressed against the mounting hole 3 of the door 2 with their faces, and the wedge portions 5a, 5b are provided at the midpoint in the width direction of the elastic deformation portions 4a, 4b, so that the elastic deformation portions 4a, 4b are pressed strongly against the mounting hole 3 of the door 2, preventing them from coming loose.
[0021] This pull handle 1 is equipped with a front pull handle 1a that is attached to the mounting hole 3 of the door 2 from the front side, and a rear pull handle 1b that is attached to the mounting hole 3 of the door 2 from the rear side. At least one of the front pull handle 1a and the rear pull handle 1b has arrowhead-shaped engagement protrusions 6a, 6b, and at least the other of the front pull handle 1a and the rear pull handle 1b has receiving portions 7a, 7b consisting of a pair of elastic pieces 9, 9 having hook portions 8 that engage with the tips of the engagement protrusions 6a, 6b. b are provided in multiple positions around the periphery of the pull handle 1, and have engaging protrusions 6a, 6b on the outer peripheral side surfaces of the front pull handle 1a and the rear pull handle 1b and protrusions 10 at the base side of the receiving portions 7a, 7b that fit into the mounting hole 3 of the door 2. Therefore, the front pull handle 1a and the rear pull handle 1b are inseparably joined by the engaging protrusions 6a, 6b and the receiving portions 7a, 7b, and the engaging protrusions 6a, 6b and the protrusions 10 at the base side of the receiving portions 7a, 7b fit into the mounting hole 3 of the door 2, thereby enabling the front pull handle 1a and the rear pull handle 1b to be firmly attached to the door 1. This pull tab 1 has engaging protrusions 6a, 6b and receiving portions 7a, 7b distributed at four locations around the circumference of the pull tab 1, distributing external forces acting on the pull tab 1 in a well-balanced manner and preventing damage to the engaging protrusions 6a, 6b and receiving portions 7a, 7b caused by external forces being concentrated in one location. In addition, the four engaging protrusions 6a, 6b and the protrusions 10 at the base of the receiving portions 7a, 7b each fit into the mounting holes 3, making the pull tab 1 more firmly fixed.
[0022] The present invention is not limited to the above-described embodiment. The shape and material of the front pull tab and the rear pull tab can be changed as appropriate. In the embodiment, the engagement protrusion and the receiving portion are provided on both the front pull tab and the rear pull tab, respectively, but the engagement protrusion may be provided only on the front pull tab and the receiving portion may be provided only on the rear pull tab. The specific shape of the engagement protrusion and the receiving portion is not particularly limited as long as they are resiliently engaged with each other and do not easily come off. The material and structure of the door are arbitrary, and it does not necessarily have to be a sliding door. [Explanation of symbols]
