Embodiments for Carrying Out the Invention

[0009] Hereinafter, embodiments of the present invention will be described with reference to the drawings. FIGS. 2 to 4 show an embodiment of a plant cultivation apparatus including a plant cultivation pool 17 of the present invention. This plant cultivation apparatus is installed in a plant factory for producing vegetables and the like. As shown in FIG. 2, it includes a plant cultivation shelf 18 and a blower 19 installed on the side of the plant cultivation shelf 18. The plant cultivation shelf 18 has five upper and lower shelf boards 20 and a top plate 21 supported by columns 22. A plant cultivation pool 17 is installed on each shelf board 20. The size of one plant cultivation pool 17 is approximately 12.5 meters in length in the left-right direction, approximately 1.2 meters in depth, and approximately 10 centimeters in height. The reference numeral 23 in FIGS. 2 and 3 is a water supply pipe for supplying nutrient solution to the plant cultivation pool 17. As shown in FIG. 3, lights 24 are attached to the lower surface of the top plate 21 and the lower surfaces of the shelf boards 20 of the first to fourth stages from the top. The plants to be cultivated are not particularly limited, and examples include leafy vegetables such as lettuce.

[0010] In the plant cultivation pool 17, as shown in FIG. 4, a plurality of cultivation panels 26 are arranged side by side in the left-right direction and the depth direction of the pool, floating on the nutrient solution 25. The cultivation panel 26 is made of plastic and has a plurality of holes 27 at intervals for attaching medium cups planted with plants.

[0011] As shown in Fig. 2, the air blower 19 includes an air supply device 28, a pressure adjustment chamber 29, and an air duct 30. The air supply device 28 uses a commercially available sirocco fan, and by rotating the fan with a motor, it sucks in the air inside the factory with the adjusted carbon dioxide concentration and sends it into the pressure adjustment chamber 29. The pressure adjustment chamber 29 is in the shape of a rectangular parallelepiped box, and the internal pressure is kept constant by directly sending air from the air supply device 28. The air duct 30 is formed of a polyethylene tube, spans the entire length of the plant cultivation shelf 18 in the left - right direction, one end is connected to the air outlet 31 of the pressure adjustment chamber 29, and the other end is closed. As shown in Fig. 3, three air ducts 30 are provided at intervals in the depth direction for each stage of the plant cultivation shelf 18, and each air duct 30 is supported by a substantially U - shaped support 32 attached to the lower surfaces of the top plate 21 and the shelf plate 20. The air duct 30 is provided with air outlets (not shown) at regular intervals in the longitudinal direction. The air outlets are provided at positions inclined forward and backward at a predetermined angle from the vertical direction on the lower surface side of the air duct 30, and blow the air 33 obliquely. Thereby, the moisture and heat accumulated on the plant cultivation pool 17 due to the transpiration of the plants are diffused, and can be efficiently replaced with the new air sent from the air duct 30. By using the air blower 19 with such a configuration, air can be evenly applied to all the plants on the plant cultivation shelf 18, and uniform growth can be achieved.

[0012] As shown in Figs. 4 and 5 - 1, the plant cultivation pool 17 is configured by covering the pool main body 2 with a plant cultivation pool sheet 1. The pool main body 2 is made of expanded polystyrene, and the bottom wall 3 and the side walls 4, 4, 5, 5 rising around the bottom wall 3 are integrally formed. Note that the pool main body 2 is actually longer than that shown in Fig. 5 - 1(a) and is formed by being divided into a plurality in the longitudinal direction (see Fig. 2).

[0013] The sheet 1 for a plant cultivation pool is a thin resin sheet that does not allow water to pass through, specifically a black polyethylene sheet with a thickness of 0.2 mm. Fig. 1 shows a developed view of the sheet 1 for a plant cultivation pool. The sheet 1 for a plant cultivation pool has a bottom surface portion 6 that overlaps with the bottom surface 3a of the pool main body 2, and is continuously provided around the bottom surface portion 6. As shown in FIG. 5-2(e), when the one end portion 13 of the outer peripheral side surfaces 9a, 9a is bent toward the transverse side wall 5 side, the folding portion 37 is bent along the diagonal line 38 and folded inside the one end portion 13.

[0014] This sheet 1 for a plant cultivation pool can be manufactured by the following procedure. First, a sheet with a predetermined width is cut to a length that matches the size of the pool body 1. Next, as shown in Fig. 1, at four corner portions of the cut sheet, welding portions (edges 10, 10) of the inner peripheral side faces 7a, 7a, 7b, 7b, overlapping portions (one-side end portions 11 and the other-side end portions 12) of the side wall upper faces 8a, 8a, 8b, 8b on the intersecting side walls 4, 5, and folding portions (one-side end portions 13 and the other-side end portions 14) of the outer peripheral side faces 9a, 9a, 9b, 9b are provided, leaving a cutout 39 while leaving a folding portion 37. The cutout 39 has a shape formed by obliquely shifting and connecting two quadrilaterals 40a, 40b with different sizes. The smaller inner quadrilateral 40b is a square with a side length equal to the height of the inner peripheral side faces 4a, 4a, 5a, 5a of the side walls 4, 4, 5, 5 of the pool body 2. Thereafter, the edge 10a of the portion 7a, 7a covering the inner peripheral side faces 4a, 4a of the longitudinal side walls 4, 4 of the inner peripheral side faces 7a, 7a, 7b, 7b and the edge 10b of the portion 7b, 7b covering the inner peripheral side faces 5a, 5a of the transverse side walls 5, 5 are welded. Note that the dotted lines shown in Fig. 1 are added for convenience in explaining the configuration of the sheet, and no lines such as folding lines are attached to the actual sheet.

[0015] Next, the procedure for attaching the sheet 1 for a plant cultivation pool to the pool body 2 will be described. First, as shown in Figs. 5-1(a) and (b), the sheet 1 for a plant cultivation pool is covered over the pool body 2 so that the welding portion 15 of the sheet 1 for a plant cultivation pool is received in the inner corner portion 16 of the pool body 2. As a result, the sheet 1 for a plant cultivation pool closely adheres to the inside of the pool body 2 (the bottom face 3a and the inner peripheral side faces 4a, 4a, 5a, 5a of the side walls 4, 4, 5, 5) without overlapping. Next, as shown in Fig. 5-2(d), portions 8a, 8a of the upper surface portions 8a, 8a, 8b, 8b of the side walls of the plant cultivation pool sheet 1 that cover the upper surfaces 4b, 4b of the longitudinal side walls 4, 4 are bent outward along the ridge line 34 between the inner peripheral side surfaces 4a, 4a and the upper surfaces 4b, 4b of the same side walls 4, 4. Then, as shown in Fig. 5-2(e), portions 8b, 8b of the upper surface portions 8a, 8a, 8b, 8b of the side walls of the plant cultivation pool sheet 1 that cover the upper surfaces 5b, 5b of the transverse side walls 5, 5 are bent outward along the ridge line 34 between the inner peripheral side surfaces 5a, 5a and the upper surfaces 5b, 5b of the same side walls 5, 5. Then, one end portion 11 of the portions 8a, 8a that cover the upper surfaces 4b, 4b of the longitudinal side walls 4, 4 of the upper surface portions 8a, 8a, 8b, 8b and the other end portion 12 of the portions 8b, 8b that cover the upper surfaces 5b, 5b of the transverse side walls 5, 5 of the upper surface portions 8a, 8a, 8b, 8b overlap on the intersecting side walls 4, 5. Next, as shown in Fig. 5-2(e), portions 9a, 9a of the outer peripheral side surface portions 9a, 9a, 9b, 9b of the plant cultivation pool sheet 1 that cover the outer peripheral side surfaces 4c, 4c of the longitudinal side walls 4, 4 are bent downward along the ridge line 35 between the upper surfaces 4b, 4b and the outer peripheral side surfaces 4c, 4c of the same side walls 4, 4. Then, one end portion 13 of the same portions 9a, 9a is bent along the ridge line 36 between the outer peripheral side surfaces 4c, 4c of the longitudinal side walls 4, 4 and the outer peripheral side surfaces 5c, 5c of the transverse side walls 5, 5. At that time, the folding portion 37 is bent along the diagonal line 38 and folded inside the one end portion 13. Thereby, the corner portion 41 on the outer peripheral side of the upper part of the pool body 2 is covered with the sheet. Next, as shown in Fig. 5-3(g), portions 9b, 9b of the outer peripheral side surface portions 9a, 9a, 9b, 9b of the plant cultivation pool sheet 1 that cover the outer peripheral side surfaces 5c, 5c of the transverse side walls 5, 5 are bent downward along the ridge line 35 between the upper surfaces 5b, 5b and the outer peripheral side surfaces 5c, 5c of the same side walls 5, 5. Then, one end portion 13 of the portions 9a, 9a that cover the outer peripheral side surfaces 4c, 4c of the longitudinal side walls 4, 4 of the outer peripheral side surface portions 9a, 9a, 9b, 9b that have been bent previously and the other end portion 14 of the portions 9b, 9b that cover the outer peripheral side surfaces 5c, 5c of the transverse side walls 5, 5 of the outer peripheral side surface portions 9a, 9a, 9b, 9b overlap. Note that the one end portion 13 of the outer peripheral side surface portions 9a, 9a may overlap outside the other end portion 14. Finally, as shown in FIG. 5-3(h), an adhesive tape 42 is attached across the portions 9a, 9a that cover the outer peripheral side surfaces 4c, 4c of the longitudinal side walls 4, 4 and the portions 9b, 9b that cover the outer peripheral side surfaces 5c, 5c of the transverse side walls 5, 5 of the outer peripheral side surfaces 9a, 9a, 9b, 9b of the plant cultivation pool sheet 1 to fix the plant cultivation pool sheet 1.

[0016] As described above, the plant cultivation pool sheet 1 has a bottom surface portion 6 that overlaps with the bottom surface 3a of the pool main body 2, inner peripheral side surface portions 7a, 7a, 7b, 7b that overlap with the inner peripheral side surfaces 4a, 4a, 5a, 5a of the side walls 4, 4, 5, 5 of the pool main body 2, side wall upper surface portions 8a, 8a, 8b, 8b that overlap with the upper surfaces 4b, 4b, 5b, 5b of the side walls 4, 4, 5, 5 of the pool main body 2, and outer peripheral side surface portions 9a, 9a, 9b, 9b that overlap with the outer peripheral side surfaces 4c, 4c, 5c, 5c of the side walls 4, 4, 5, 5 of the pool main body 2. The inner peripheral side surface portions 7a, 7a, 7b, 7b are welded at the edges 10a of the portions 7a, 7a that cover the inner peripheral side surfaces 4a, 4a of one of the intersecting side walls 4, 4 and the edges 10b of the portions 7b, 7b that cover the inner peripheral side surfaces 5a, 5a of the other side wall 5, 5. By housing the welded portion 15 in the inner corner portion 16 of the pool main body 2, the sheet adheres closely to the inside of the pool main body 2 (the bottom surface 3a and the inner peripheral side surfaces 4a, 4a, 5a, 5a of the side walls 4, 4, 5, 5) without overlapping. By bending the side wall upper surface portions 8a, 8a, 8b, 8b outward, the side wall upper surface portions 8a, 8a, 8b, 8b closely cover the upper surfaces 4b, 4b, 5b, 5b of one and the other of the intersecting side walls 4, 4, 5, 5, and one side end 11 of the portion 8a, 8a that covers the upper surfaces 4b, 4b of one side wall 4, 4 and the other side end 12 of the portion 8b, 8b that covers the upper surfaces 5b, 5b of the other side wall 5, 5 overlap on the intersecting side walls 4, 5. By bending the outer peripheral side surface portions 9a, 9a, 9b, 9b downward, the outer peripheral side surface portions 9a, 9a, 9b, 9b closely cover the outer peripheral side surfaces 4c, 4c, 5c, 5c of one and the other of the intersecting side walls 4, 4, 5, 5, and one side end 13 of the portion 9a, 9a that covers the outer peripheral side surfaces 4c, 4c of one side wall 4, 4 folds over the other side end 14 of the portion 9b, 9b that covers the outer peripheral side surfaces 5c, 5c of the other side wall 5, 5. Therefore, the sheet 1 can be cleanly attached to the pool main body 1 in a short time while preventing the occurrence of wrinkles and the like, and the workability is good. The sheet 1 for the plant cultivation pool has no folding lines and is bent and attached along the ridge lines 34, 35, and 36 of the pool body 2, so it can flexibly adapt to pool bodies 2 of different sizes. In addition, the sheet 1 for the plant cultivation pool is provided with notches 39 by leaving welding parts (edge parts 10, 10) of the inner peripheral side faces 7a, 7a, 7b, 7b at the corner parts, overlapping parts (one-side end parts 11 and the other-side end parts 12) of the upper side wall faces 8a, 8a, 8b, 8b on the intersecting side walls 4 and 5, and folding parts (one-side end parts 13 and the other-side end parts 14) of the outer peripheral side faces 9a, 9a, 9b, 9b, so that it can be easily manufactured. Furthermore, the sheet 1 for the plant cultivation pool has the one-side end parts 11 of the upper side wall faces 8a, 8a and the one-side end parts 13 of the outer peripheral side faces 9a, 9a connected continuously via the folding parts 37, so that the outer peripheral side corner parts 41 at the upper part of the pool body 2 can be covered with the sheet 1 to protect the corner parts 41.

[0017] The plant cultivation pool 17 includes the pool body 2 and the sheet 1 for the plant cultivation pool according to claim 1, so that the sheet 1 can be attached to the pool body 2 neatly in a short time and prevent the occurrence of wrinkles and the like, and the workability is good.
