AI Technical Summary
Conventional bottles with handles experience a decrease in buckling strength and are prone to tilting rearward when a vertical compressive load is applied, leading to potential wrinkles in the shoulder portion.
The bottle features a mounting recess in the body portion with an upper circumferential groove that includes a shallow groove portion at the same circumferential position as the mounting recess, which is less likely to be crushed under vertical load, thereby preventing the bottle from tilting rearward.
This design effectively suppresses the upper portion of the bottle from tilting backward when subjected to a vertical compressive load, ensuring enhanced buckling strength and preventing wrinkles in the shoulder portion.

Summary of the Invention
Problems to be Solved by the Invention
[0004] However, in the conventional bottle with a handle, when a vertical compressive load is applied to the bottle, the portion of the bottle located above the attachment recess is likely to tilt rearward in the radial direction, and for example, wrinkles may occur in the rear portion of the shoulder portion located directly above the attachment recess, and there is a risk of a decrease in buckling strength.
[0005] The present invention provides a bottle with a handle that can suppress the portion of the bottle located above the attachment recess from tilting rearward when a vertical compressive load is applied to the bottle.
Means for Solving the Problems
[0006] In order to solve the above problems, the present invention adopts the following means. That is, the bottle with a handle of the present invention includes a bottle configured such that a mouth portion, a shoulder portion, a body portion, and a bottom portion are connected in this order from above downward, and a handle. A mounting recess is provided in the body portion, which is recessed forward and open rearward in the radial direction, and the handle is attached to the mounting recess. An upper circumferential groove that continuously extends over the entire circumferential length is formed at the connection portion between the shoulder portion and the body portion. Among the upper circumferential grooves, a portion where at least a part of the mounting recess has the same circumferential position as other parts is a shallow groove portion with a shallower groove depth than other parts.
[0007] Among the upper circumferential grooves formed at the connection portion between the shoulder portion and the body portion, a portion where at least a part of the mounting recess has the same circumferential position as other parts is a shallow groove portion with a shallower groove depth than other parts. Therefore, among the upper circumferential grooves, the shallow groove portion is less likely to be crushed in the vertical direction than other parts. When a vertical compressive load is applied to the bottle, it is possible to suppress the upper part of the bottle located above the mounting recess from tilting rearward in the radial direction where the mounting recess is provided.
[0008] A first stepped portion facing the circumferential direction may be provided at the boundary portion between the shallow groove portion and the other parts of the upper circumferential groove.
[0009] Since a first stepped portion facing the circumferential direction is provided at the boundary portion between the shallow groove portion and the other parts of the upper circumferential groove, it becomes possible to make the boundary portion between the shallow groove portion and the other parts of the upper circumferential groove less likely to be crushed in the vertical direction than the other parts. When a vertical compressive load is applied to the bottle, it is possible to surely suppress the upper part of the bottle from tilting rearward.
[0010] A pair of upper and lower second stepped portions extending along the circumferential direction toward the other part side are provided at the boundary portion, and the second stepped portions are respectively provided on the upper side surface located at the upper end and facing downward and the lower side surface located at the lower end and facing upward of the inner surface of the upper circumferential groove. Along with this, the vertical protrusion amounts from the upper side surface and the lower side surface may increase as they go toward the shallow groove portion along the circumferential direction.
[0011] In the upper circumferential groove, a pair of upper and lower second stepped portions are provided at the boundary between the shallow groove portion and the other portion. Therefore, when a vertical compressive load is applied to the bottle, it is possible to suppress stress concentration at the boundary portion of the upper circumferential groove, and the buckling strength can be ensured.
[0012] The shallow groove portion may extend in the circumferential direction and be located at the same circumferential position as the mounting recess over the entire circumferential length.
[0013] Since the shallow groove portion extends in the circumferential direction and is located at the same circumferential position as the mounting recess over the entire circumferential length, while ensuring the lateral rigidity of the connection portion between the shoulder portion and the body portion, when a vertical compressive load is applied to the bottle, it is possible to reliably suppress the upper portion of the bottle from tilting backward.
[0014] The shallow groove portion may be provided over an angular range that is separately 15° or more and 75° or less away from the central portion in the circumferential direction of the mounting recess on both sides in the circumferential direction around the central axis of the body portion.
[0015] Since the shallow groove portion is provided over an angular range that is separately 15° or more and 75° or less away from the central portion in the circumferential direction of the mounting recess on both sides in the circumferential direction around the central axis of the body portion, when a vertical compressive load is applied to the bottle, it is possible to reliably suppress the upper portion of the bottle from tilting backward.
[0016] Among the upper circumferential grooves, the groove depth of the other portion may be 1.2 times or more and 2.0 times or less the groove depth of the shallow groove portion.
[0017] Among the upper circumferential grooves, since the groove depth of the other portion is 1.2 times or more and 2.0 times or less the groove depth of the shallow groove portion, it is possible to more reliably prevent the shallow groove portion from being crushed in the vertical direction than the other portion of the upper circumferential groove.
Advantages of the Invention
[0018] According to the present invention, when a vertical compressive load is applied to the bottle, it is possible to suppress the portion of the bottle located above the mounting recess from tilting backward.

[0020] Hereinafter, with reference to the drawings, an embodiment of the bottle 1 with a handle will be described. As shown in FIGS. 1 and 2, the bottle 1 with a handle includes a bottle 10 and a handle 11. The internal volume of the bottle 10 is, for example, 1 liter or more. The bottle 10 includes a mouth portion 12, a shoulder portion 13, a body portion 14, and a bottom portion 15, and these 12 - 15 are connected in this order with their respective central axes positioned on a common axis.
[0021] Hereinafter, the common axis is referred to as the central axis O. Along the central axis O, the mouth - portion 12 side is referred to as the upper side, the bottom - portion 15 side is referred to as the lower side, and the direction along the central axis O is referred to as the vertical direction. When viewed from the vertical direction, the direction intersecting the central axis O is referred to as the radial direction, and the direction of orbiting around the central axis O is referred to as the circumferential direction. Among the radial directions, the side on which the handle 11 is provided with respect to the central axis O is referred to as the rear side, the opposite side of the handle 11 sandwiching the central axis O in the radial direction is referred to as the front side, and when viewed from the vertical direction, the direction orthogonal to the front - rear direction is referred to as the left - right direction.
[0022] In the illustrated example, the mouth 12, the shoulder 13, the body 14 and the bottom 15 each have a circular cross-sectional shape perpendicular to the central axis O. The handle 11 is formed in an annular shape that is open in the left and right directions.
[0023] An upper circumferential groove 17 that extends continuously over the entire circumferential length is formed at the connection between the shoulder 13 and the body 14. The upper end 14a of the body 14 includes a rear portion that is sandwiched in the vertical direction between the upper circumferential groove 17 and a mounting recess 16, which will be described later. The radius of the rear portion of the upper end 14a of the body 14 is smaller than the radius of the other portions. A lower circumferential groove 18 that extends continuously over the entire circumferential length is formed at the connection between the body portion 14 and the bottom portion 15. The lower end portion 14b of the body portion 14 is connected to the lower circumferential groove 18 from above. In the body portion 14, the upper end portion 14a and the lower end portion 14b are the portions with the largest diameter.
[0024] The body 14 is provided with a mounting recess 16 that is recessed toward the front and opens toward the rear. The mounting recess 16 is integrally open in the rear and left-right directions. The mounting recess 16 is provided in the upper part of the body 14. The left-right center of the mounting recess 16 is located at the left-right center of the outer circumferential surface of the body 14 in the part facing toward the rear.
[0025] The inner surface of the mounting recess 16 has an upper surface 21 , a lower surface 22 , a bottom surface 23 , a lower connection surface 24 , and an upper connection surface 25 .
[0026] The upper surface 21 faces downward, and the lower surface 22 faces upward. The lower surface 22 is located below the upper surface 21 and faces opposite to the upper surface 21 in the vertical direction. The bottom surface 23 faces rearward and connects the front ends of the upper surface 21 and the lower surface 22. The bottom surface 23 has a curved shape that is concave toward the front when viewed in a cross section along the up-down direction and the front-rear direction, and has a curved shape that is convex toward the rear when viewed in a cross section along the radial direction. The lower connecting surface 24 extends downward from the outer peripheral edge of the lower surface 22 and is connected to the outer peripheral surface of the body portion 14 . The upper connecting surface 25 extends radially outward as it moves upward from the outer circumferential edge of the upper surface 21 and is connected to the outer circumferential surface of the body portion 14 .
[0027] A reinforcing groove 21a is formed on the outer circumferential edge of the upper surface 21, and has a curved shape that protrudes rearward when viewed from below. When viewed from below, the reinforcing groove 21a has a symmetrical shape with respect to a straight line that passes through the left-right center of the mounting recess 16 and extends in the radial direction. The top of the reinforcing groove 21a that protrudes rearward when viewed from below is located in the left-right center of the mounting recess 16.
[0028] The handle 11 is attached to the mounting recess 16. The handle 11 is provided in the center of the mounting recess 16 in the left-right direction. The handle 11 includes a fixed plate 31, a handle plate 32, an upper connecting plate 33, and a lower connecting plate .
[0029] The fixed plate 31 is formed in a rectangular plate shape that is long in the up-down direction when viewed from the front-rear direction. The fixed plate 31 is curved so as to protrude forward when viewed from the left-right direction. The fixed plate 31 is fixed to the bottom surface 23 of the mounting recess 16.
[0030] The handle plate 32 is provided behind the fixed plate 31. The handle plate 32 is formed in a rectangular plate shape that is long in the up-down direction when viewed from the front-rear direction. The handle plate 32 extends straight in the up-down direction. The handle plate 32 is located behind the upper surface 21 and the lower surface 22 of the mounting recess 16. The upper end and the lower end of the handle plate 32 each extend forward while moving outward in the up-down direction. The upper end of the handle plate 32 is located below the upper connection surface 25 of the mounting recess 16 and faces it in the up-down direction.
[0031] The upper connecting plate 33 connects the upper ends of the fixed plate 31 and the handle plate 32 to each other, and is fixed to the upper surface 21 of the mounting recess 16 . The lower connecting plate 34 connects the lower ends of the fixed plate 31 and the handle plate 32 to each other, and is fixed to the lower surface 22 of the mounting recess 16 .
[0032] Here, on the upper surface 21 of the mounting recess 16, a pair of first vertical grooves 28 that sandwich the upper connecting plate 33 in the left - right direction are provided. The first vertical grooves 28 reach the outer peripheral surface of the upper end portion 14a of the body portion 14 via the upper connection surface 25. The pair of first vertical grooves 28 extend in a direction in which the left - right interval widens from the upper surface 21 side of the mounting recess 16 toward the upper end portion 14a side of the body portion 14. The first vertical grooves 28 communicate with the upper circumferential groove 17 and the reinforcing groove 21a.
[0033] On the upper surface 21 of the mounting recess 16, a pair of second vertical grooves 29 that sandwich the pair of first vertical grooves 28 in the left - right direction are provided. The second vertical grooves 29 reach the outer peripheral surface of the upper end portion 14a of the body portion 14 via the upper connection surface 25. The pair of second vertical grooves 29 extend in a direction in which the left - right interval widens from the upper surface 21 side of the mounting recess 16 toward the upper end portion 14a side of the body portion 14. The second vertical grooves 29 communicate with the upper circumferential groove 17 and the reinforcing groove 21a. The second vertical grooves 29 open at the circumferential end portions in the reinforcing groove 21a. The groove widths of the second vertical grooves 29 and the first vertical grooves 28 are equal to each other. When viewed from the rear, the inclination angles of the second vertical grooves 29 and the first vertical grooves 28 with respect to the central axis O are equal to each other.
[0034] On the upper connection surface 25 of the mounting recess 16, reinforcing ribs 25a are formed at portions that are vertically adjacent to the upper connecting plate 33 of the handle 11. The reinforcing ribs 25a are grooves extending in the left - right direction. A plurality of reinforcing ribs 25a are formed at intervals in the vertical direction. The reinforcing ribs 25a are located above the upper end portion of the handle plate 32 and face each other in the vertical direction.
[0035] The handled bottle 1 is formed by blow - molding a bottomed cylindrical preform in a cavity into which the handle 11 is inserted. At the same time as the bottle 10 is formed, the handle 11 is attached to the mounting recess 16 of the bottle 10. The preform and the handle 11 are formed by injection molding in advance.
[0036] The foregoing cavity is provided between the overlapping surfaces of a pair of mold halves that can abut and separate from each other. The front ends of each of the pair of mold halves are connected to each other via a rotating shaft extending in the vertical direction, and when the pair of mold halves rotate around the rotating shaft, the overlapping surfaces abut and separate from each other, thereby opening and closing the cavity. As a result, the parting line is located at the center in the left-right direction and extends in the vertical direction at each of the front-facing portion and the rear-facing portion of the outer peripheral surface of the body portion 14.
[0037] And in the present embodiment, as shown in FIGS. 3 to 5, among the upper circumferential grooves 17, the portion where at least a part of the mounting recess 16 has the same circumferential position is a shallow groove portion 26 having a shallower groove depth than the other portion 27. The shallow groove portion 26 extends in the circumferential direction and is located at the same circumferential position as the mounting recess 16 over the entire circumferential length. The shallow groove portion 26 is provided over an angular range that is separately 15° or more and 75° or less from the circumferential center portion of the mounting recess 16 to both sides in the circumferential direction around the central axis O. The shallow groove portion 26 is provided over an angular range of 30° or more and 150° or less around the central axis O. The shallow groove portion 26 is provided over an angular range that is separately the same angle from the circumferential center portion of the mounting recess 16 to both sides in the circumferential direction around the central axis O. The circumferential size of the shallow groove portion 26 is smaller than the circumferential size of the mounting recess 16. The circumferential center portions of the shallow groove portion 26 and the mounting recess 16 coincide with each other.
[0038] The groove depth of the other portion 27 is 1.2 times or more and 2.0 times or less the groove depth of the shallow groove portion 26. The circumferential size of the other portion 27 is larger than the circumferential size of the shallow groove portion 26. The groove depths of the other portion 27 and the shallow groove portion 26 are equal over the entire circumferential length in each case.
[0039] At the boundary portion between the shallow groove portion 26 and the other portion 27 of the upper circumferential groove 17, a first stepped portion 41 and a second stepped portion 42 are provided. Note that the first stepped portion 41 and the second stepped portion 42 may not be provided at the boundary portion of the upper circumferential groove 17.
[0040] The first stepped portion 41 rises radially outward from the groove bottom surface of the other portion 27 and serves as a wall surface facing the other portion 27 side along the circumferential direction. The vertical dimension of the first stepped portion 41 is smaller than the vertical dimension of the upper circumferential groove 17. The central portions in the vertical direction of the first stepped portion 41 and the upper circumferential groove 17 coincide with each other. A second vertical groove 29 opens in a portion of the upper circumferential groove 17 where the first stepped portion 41 is located.
[0041] The second stepped portion 42 extends from the first stepped portion 41 toward the other portion 27 side along the circumferential direction, and a pair of them is provided vertically. The second stepped portion 42 is provided separately on the upper side surface 17a located at the upper end and facing downward and the lower side surface 17b located at the lower end and facing upward among the inner surfaces of the upper circumferential groove 17. As it goes toward the shallow groove portion 26 along the circumferential direction, the vertical protrusion amounts from the upper side surface 17a and the lower side surface 17b increase. The second stepped portion 42 is provided at the radially inner portions of the upper side surface 17a and the lower side surface 17b, respectively. When viewed from the outside in the radial direction, the pair of second stepped portions 42 and the first stepped portion 41 exhibit a horizontal V shape in which the pair of second stepped portions 42 extend in a direction away from each other in the vertical direction as they go toward the other portion 27 side along the circumferential direction.
[0042] As described above, according to the bottle 1 with a handle according to the present embodiment, among the upper circumferential grooves 17 formed at the connection portion between the shoulder portion 13 and the body portion 14, at least a part of the mounting recess 16 and the portion having the same circumferential position are the shallow groove portions 26 having a shallower groove depth than the other portion 27. Therefore, among the upper circumferential grooves 17, the shallow groove portions 26 are less likely to be crushed in the vertical direction than the other portion 27. When a vertical compressive load is applied to the bottle 10, it is possible to suppress the upper portion of the bottle 10 located above the mounting recess 16 from tilting backward in the radial direction where the mounting recess 16 is provided.
[0043] Among the upper circumferential groove 17, since the first stepped portion 41 facing the circumferential direction is provided at the boundary portion between the shallow groove portion 26 and the other portion 27, it becomes possible to make the boundary portion between the shallow groove portion 26 and the other portion 27 in the upper circumferential groove 17 less likely to collapse in the vertical direction than the other portion 27, and when a vertical compressive load is applied to the bottle 10, it is possible to reliably suppress the upper portion of the bottle 10 from tilting backward.
[0044] Among the upper circumferential groove 17, since a pair of upper and lower second stepped portions 42 are provided at the boundary portion between the shallow groove portion 26 and the other portion 27, when a vertical compressive load is applied to the bottle 10, it becomes possible to suppress stress from concentrating on the boundary portion of the upper circumferential groove 17, and the buckling strength can be ensured.
[0045] Since the shallow groove portion 26 extends in the circumferential direction and is located at the same circumferential position as the mounting recess 16 over the entire circumferential length, while ensuring the lateral rigidity of the connection portion between the shoulder portion 13 and the body portion 14, when a vertical compressive load is applied to the bottle 10, it is possible to reliably suppress the upper portion of the bottle 10 from tilting backward.
[0046] Since the shallow groove portion 26 is provided over an angular range separately departing from the central portion in the circumferential direction in the mounting recess 16 by 15° or more and 75° or less on both sides in the circumferential direction with the central axis O as the center, when a vertical compressive load is applied to the bottle 10, it is possible to reliably suppress the upper portion of the bottle 10 from tilting backward.
[0047] Among the upper circumferential groove 17, since the groove depth of the other portion 27 is 1.2 times or more and 2.0 times or less the groove depth of the shallow groove portion 26, it is possible to make the shallow groove portion 26 in the upper circumferential groove 17 more reliably less likely to collapse in the vertical direction than the other portion 27.
[0048] Note that the technical scope of the present invention is not limited to the above-described embodiments, and various modifications can be made without departing from the spirit of the present invention.
[0049] For example, the handle 11 and the mounting recess 16 may be appropriately changed without being limited to the above embodiment. The mounting recess 16 may not have the lower connection surface 24 and the upper connection surface 25. The reinforcing rib 25a may not be provided on the upper connection surface 25. The first longitudinal groove 28, the second longitudinal groove 29, and the reinforcing groove 21a may not be provided on the upper surface 21 of the mounting recess 16. The radius of the upper end portion 14a of the body portion 14 may be the same over the entire circumferential length.
[0050] In addition, within the scope not departing from the gist of the present invention, it is possible to appropriately replace the components in the above embodiment with well-known components, and the above embodiment and the modified examples may be appropriately combined.
