Abstract
Description
Technical Field
[0001] The present invention relates to a screen display centralized management system.
Background Art
[0002] Currently, information terminals are becoming widespread as common devices and have been used in various applications such as meetings, electronic shelf labels, and advertisements. In such applications, it is often the case that a single document is displayed as an image on each of a plurality of information terminals for users such as attendees to view.
[0003] On the other hand, there are various types of information terminals, and since their sizes, resolutions, display colors, etc. are different from each other, it is difficult to display the same document as an image in the same state.
[0004] On the contrary, if each information terminal is equipped with its own image processing system, it is possible to appropriately adjust and display the image display of the transmitted document as an optimal one.
Summary of the Invention
Problems to be Solved by the Invention
[0005] However, in a case where there is an information terminal that does not have its own image processing system and simply displays the received information, there are problems such that it is not suitable for such applications and the response is not easy.
[0006] Therefore, in view of the above problems, an object of the present invention is to provide a screen display centralized management system that enables appropriate display for each information terminal regardless of the information terminal.
Means for Solving the Problems
[0007] A screen display centralized management system according to one aspect of the present invention for solving the above problems is a screen display centralized management system having a centralized management computer and a plurality of information terminals connected to the centralized management computer. In the recording medium of the centralized management computer, the centralized management computer is caused to execute: (1) a step of recording terminal identification data and resolution data for each of the plurality of information terminals; (2) a step of recording common image data; (3) a step of creating and recording a plurality of adapted common image data that are adapted to each of the plurality of information terminals by adjusting the resolution of the common image data based on the resolution data of each of the plurality of information terminals; and (4) a step of transmitting the adapted common image data to each information terminal. A computer program for causing the above to be executed is recorded.
[0008] Also, in this aspect, it is preferable that the computer program also causes the step of recording individual layer image data corresponding to each of the terminal identification data to be executed.
[0009] Also, in this aspect, it is preferable that the computer program also causes the steps of recording a plurality of user identification data and recording individual layer image data corresponding to each of the user identification data to be executed.
[0010] Also, in this aspect, the computer program records correspondence data associating user identification data with terminal identification data, and based on the resolution data corresponding to the terminal identification data associated with the user identification data, adjusts the resolution of the individual layer image data to create and record adapted layer image data, and transmits the adapted layer image data to the information terminal in which the terminal identification data associated with the user identification data is recorded. It is preferable that this step is also executed.
[0011] In addition, in this aspect, the computer program also records displayable color data for each of the plurality of information terminals, and based on the displayable color data for each of the plurality of information terminals, adjusts the display color of the common image data and creates and records a plurality of pieces of adapted common image data adapted to each of the plurality of information terminals. It is preferable that this step is also executed.

Best Mode for Carrying Out the Invention
[0014] Hereinafter, embodiments of the present invention will be described in detail with reference to the drawings. However, the present invention can be implemented in many forms and is not limited only to the specific examples described in the embodiments shown below.
[0015] FIG. 1 is a diagram showing an outline of the entire screen display centralized management system (hereinafter referred to as "this system") S according to this embodiment. As shown in this figure, this system S includes a centralized management computer 1 and a plurality of information terminals 2 connected to the centralized management computer 1. The centralized management computer 1 and these plurality of information terminals 2 are connected via a telecommunication line N.
[0016] Also, in this system S, on the recording medium of the centralized management computer 1, the centralized management computer 1 is caused to execute the steps of: (1) recording terminal identification data and resolution data for each of a plurality of information terminals 2; (2) recording common image data; (3) based on the resolution data of each of the plurality of information terminals 2, adjusting the resolution of the common image data to create and record a plurality of pieces of adapted common image data that are adapted to each of the plurality of information terminals 2; and (4) transmitting the adapted common image data that is adapted to each information terminal. A computer program for this purpose is recorded.
[0017] In this system S, on the centralized management computer 1, that is, on the server side, image data corresponding to each information terminal is adjusted and recorded, making it possible to reduce the load on each information terminal. Also, it is possible to link the user and the information terminal on the server. Furthermore, regarding the information (layer information) written by the user, it is also possible to link it to the user, enabling corresponding handling even if the user uses another information terminal. Of course, it is also possible to record layer information corresponding to the information terminal on the server.
[0018] Note that the centralized management computer 1 used to execute this program is not limited as long as it has the above functions. For example, it preferably includes, but is not limited to, a central processing unit (CPU) which is a component of a general computer, a non-volatile recording medium such as a hard disk or a flash memory, a volatile recording medium such as a memory, a bus connecting these, an input device such as a keyboard or a mouse, and a display device such as a monitor.
[0019] The above-mentioned centralized management computer 1 is preferably a so-called notebook computer or desktop computer from the viewpoint of facilitating operations. However, it may also be a portable information terminal that has been increasingly popular in recent years, specifically, a so-called smartphone or tablet terminal. A general portable information terminal integrates components such as the above-mentioned CPU and display device in one cover. Moreover, by arranging sensors on the display device to form a so-called touch panel, it becomes very easy to handle and is preferable. In the case of a portable information terminal, a program for executing this method in the portable information terminal is recorded and displayed as a so-called app, and this method can be easily executed by starting this app.
[0020] Also, the information terminal 2 of this system S can adopt the same configuration as the above-mentioned centralized management computer 1. However, from the viewpoints of portability and ease of installation, this information terminal 2 is preferably not a notebook computer or desktop computer, but a so-called smartphone, tablet terminal, or even an electronic paper or the like that is easy to carry and install. In recent years, in particular, price tags using electronic paper have been used in commercial facilities such as so-called supermarkets, and their application to these can also be considered. Especially in the case of a simple information terminal such as a price tag using electronic paper, it is not uncommon that the resolution and display color of the input image data cannot be directly applied to that information terminal. Therefore, appropriate display can be achieved by adjusting in advance on the side of the centralized management computer 1. By using such a system, there is also an advantage that it is not necessary to provide software for image processing on the information terminal side, and a simpler and lower-cost information terminal can be adopted.
[0021] Next, each step executed by the centralized management computer 1 of this system S will be described.
[0022] In this system S, first, there is a step of (1) recording terminal identification data and resolution data for each of a plurality of information terminals 2.
[0023] Here, the "terminal identification data" is data including information used to distinguish each of the plurality of information terminals 2 connected to the present system S. Examples of the information used to distinguish the information terminals include, but are not limited to, the model information and serial number of the information terminals.
[0024] Also, the "resolution data" is data including information regarding the resolution that the display device provided in the information terminal 2 can display. Note that the "resolution" indicates the number of dots in the horizontal and vertical directions of the display device. For example, in the case of a display device having a maximum resolution of 1024 dots horizontally and 768 dots vertically, it can be expressed as 1024×768 (XGA). The resolution data is data including information regarding these numerical values. In the present system S, it is assumed that the resolution differs for each information terminal. The centralized management computer 1 adjusts the image data to be displayed according to this resolution, makes different adjustments for each information terminal, and then transmits it. By doing so, it is possible to perform adjustment processing suitable for the resolution of each information terminal, reduce the load on each information terminal, and enable optimal image display. Note that the resolution data may include data regarding the number of pixels of the display device.
[0025] In addition, the present system S has (2) a step of recording common image data. Here, the "common image data" is data including information of an image (common image) to be commonly displayed on a plurality of information terminals 2 in the present system S. Note that this common image data includes resolution data and is appropriately modified according to the resolution of each information terminal 2 to create the conforming common image data described later. As described above, this common image data is recorded on the recording medium of the centralized management computer 1.
[0026] In addition, in this system S, there is a step of (3) adjusting the resolution of the common image data based on the resolution data of each of the plurality of information terminals 2, creating and recording a plurality of pieces of adapted common image data that are adapted to each of the plurality of information terminals 2. The "adapted common image data" is, as is clear from the above description, common image data obtained by adjusting the resolution data of the common image data so as to be adaptable to the displayable resolution data of the information terminal 2 that is scheduled to transmit the image data. For example, if the resolution of the common image data is 1024×768 while the maximum resolution of the information terminal 2 that is scheduled to transmit this common image data is 800×600, a process of adjusting the resolution of the common image data to match this is performed. Note that this adapted common image data may be created by appropriately adjusting the common image data when the information terminal that transmits this data is set, but it is also preferable to create and record a number of adapted common image data in advance according to a number of resolution standards. Note that a known method can be adopted for the adjustment process of this image data.
[0027] Also, in this case, when the common image data includes characters or the like, it is preferable to include this included information, specifically as text information. When an image is enlarged or reduced as an image as it is, particularly when characters are included, inconveniences such as the outlines of the characters becoming blurred or the characters being crushed are likely to occur. Therefore, by extracting the included characters as text information, it becomes possible to insert them with different character sizes, and the above problems can be suppressed to a minimum. Also, in this case, the fact that these text information have positions where they are inserted in the common image data further eliminates inconveniences.
[0028] In addition, in this system S, there is a step of (4) transmitting the adapted common image data that is adapted to each information terminal. By this step, it becomes possible to transmit the optimal common image data to each information terminal and cause an appropriate screen display on its display device. FIG. 2 shows an image diagram of the common image data stored in the centralized management computer 1 and the adapted common image data displayed on an information terminal with a lower resolution than this.
[0029] Incidentally, in this system S, each information terminal may be configured to create image data. In particular, when displaying conforming common image data, in some cases, the user who operates the information terminal writes his or her own unique memo on the conforming common image data, resulting in another image data. Therefore, in this system S, it is preferable to have a step of recording individual layer image data corresponding to each of the (5) terminal identification data. That is, when, as described above, the information terminal is operated to add a unique memo or the like to the conforming common image data, the data of the entered portion is recorded as individual layer image data (individual layer image data) and transmitted to the centralized management computer 1. As a result, the centralized management computer 1 records the individual layer information recorded for each information terminal. Even if the user of the information terminal is used by a different person, if only the conforming common image data is displayed separately and the user who created the individual layer image data again uses it, the conforming image data can be efficiently used by outputting the individual layer image data to the information terminal. Fig. 3 shows an image of the common image data and the individual layer image data. Of course, in this case, it is preferable to attach tag data corresponding to at least one of the original common image data and the conforming common image data.
[0030] In the above step, individual layer image data corresponding to the information terminal is recorded. However, it is naturally assumed that a single user may use a plurality of information terminals 2. Even when the user uses different information terminals, there may be a case where the user wants to display the individual layer image data created on other information terminals on the information terminal being used. Therefore, in this system S, it is preferable to also have a step of recording (6) a plurality of user identification data and a step of recording individual layer image data corresponding to each of the user identification data. By doing so, as described above, even when the user uses different information terminals, it becomes possible to display the individual layer image data already created on other information terminals.
[0031] As a specific process for executing the step (6) above, in this system S, (7-1) correspondence data associating user identification data and terminal identification data is recorded, and based on the resolution data corresponding to the terminal identification data associated with the user identification data, the resolution of the individual layer image data is adjusted to create and record the adapted layer image data. Thereby, even when the user changes the information terminal, based on the data combining the user and the information terminal, the already created individual layer image data can be adjusted to the individual layer image data (adapted layer image data) adapted to that information terminal and created. Also, this process can be performed by the centralized management computer 1. Furthermore, in this system S, (7-2) there is also a step of transmitting the adapted layer image data to the information terminal in which the terminal identification data associated with the user identification data is recorded. Thereby, the above effects can be achieved. By doing so, when a single user creates a layer image using a certain information terminal, the adapted layer image data is created while the centralized management computer 1 checks the resolution of the user and the information terminal, and even when the user changes the information terminal, it becomes possible to display the optimal layer image on that information terminal. Furthermore, when this user wants to share the layer image data created by himself / herself, it becomes possible to create and transmit the adapted layer image data in accordance with the information terminals of all the users in this system S by the centralized management computer 1.
[0032] Also in this case, when the individual layer image data contains characters or the like, it is preferable to extract and record the text information in the same manner as the common image data.
[0033] In addition, in this system S, the displayable colors may differ for each information terminal. Therefore, it is preferable to also execute the step of (8) recording displayable color data for each of the plurality of information terminals 2, and creating and recording a plurality of adapted common image data that conforms to each of the plurality of information terminals 2 by adjusting the display color of the common image data based on the displayable color data of each of the plurality of information terminals 2. This makes it possible to include information not only on resolution but also on color.
[0034] As described above, this system S becomes a screen display centralized management system that enables suitable display for each information terminal regardless of the information terminal. Note that this system is applicable in various fields, and as a system using a centralized management computer and a plurality of information terminals, for example, it is applicable to, but not limited to, a teaching system, a conference system, a conference room reservation system, an ensemble music score system, a bus stop sign system, a store price tag display system, etc.
