Description

Technical Field

[0001] The present invention relates to an apparatus for manufacturing a reinforcing material for tobacco filter paper and a tobacco filter into which the paper reinforcing material is inserted, and more particularly, to an apparatus for manufacturing a reinforcing material for tobacco filter paper for improving the durability of a tobacco filter and a tobacco filter into which the paper reinforcing material is inserted.

Background Art

[0002] Generally, tobacco is formed by wrapping tobacco such as tobacco leaves with cigarette paper, and inhaling the tobacco smoke generated by burning the cigarette paper and the tobacco. A filter is provided in the inhalation part to filter harmful components of the smoke and improve the flavor of the smoke.

[0003] Currently, most commercially available filters are manufactured based on cellulose acetate fibers. Such cellulose acetate-based filters are fine plastics manufactured by reacting cellulose extracted from plants such as wood and cotton seeds with an acetic acid solution. At this time, the cellulose acetate filter requires a decomposition period of at least three years or more depending on environmental conditions. For this reason, the discarded filter itself or the toxic substances adsorbed in the filter make it difficult for microorganisms to decompose, inducing many environmental problems.

[0004] For this reason, various biodegradable fibers that replace cellulose acetate fibers have been developed, but in reality, it is difficult to maintain the filtration performance and flavor against harmful components of smoke during the manufacture of filters, so they have not reached commercialization.

[0005] Conventionally, research on tobacco filters using environmentally friendly paper filters has been actively carried out. Since the paper filter is generally made of natural fibers based on plants, it is natural and easily decomposed and biodegradable, and is more environmentally friendly than the cellulose acetate fiber because it has relatively less impact on the environment. In addition, the paper filter is made of relatively inexpensive materials and is suitable for mass production, which can reduce the production cost of tobacco manufacturing.

[0006] However, since the fiber structure of the paper filter is even sparser than that of conventional filters, its binding force is weak. That is, because the paper filter has a lower density than the conventional filter and it is difficult to completely adhere the cigarette wrapper, harmful substances cannot be effectively removed by cigarette smoke, and the filter performance may decrease when compared with the cellulose acetate fiber.

[0007] In addition, since the paper filter is sensitive to heat and moisture, the form of the paper filter is deformed by saliva and moisture generated when a smoker inhales, so its absorption capacity is relatively low. That is, the moisture generated during smoking accumulates moisture inside, and the paper material absorbs the moisture, causing the inside of the paper filter to become clogged, resulting in an increase in the inhalation pressure.

[0008] Furthermore, when the paper filter is deformed or damaged by the pressure of the lips or teeth applied when a smoker smokes, due to the properties of paper, it is impossible to restore to its initial form, and the filtration performance of harmful substances also decreases, so its durability is lower than that of the conventional filter.

[0009] Therefore, in consideration of such problems, in fact, there is an urgent need for research to improve the elastic recovery and durability of the paper filter used as an alternative material for the cellulose acetate fiber.

Summary of the Invention

Problems to be Solved by the Invention

[0010] In order to solve the above problems, an object of the present invention is to provide an apparatus for manufacturing a paper reinforcing material for a cigarette filter and a cigarette filter inserted with the paper reinforcing material, which improve the durability of the cigarette filter.

Means for Solving the Problems

[0011] To solve the above problems, the present invention provides a tube forming section for forming a hollow cylindrical paper tube by stacking a plurality of rolls of paper; a guide section provided such that a cylindrical paper tube is inserted therein along the longitudinal direction, and a jig frame including a base support section provided so as to wrap the guide section and having a plurality of through holes formed at intervals along the circumferential direction of the outer peripheral surface; a plurality of pressure forming sections arranged at intervals along the circumferential direction so as to penetrate each of the through holes and be arranged in the radial direction to form a plurality of support wing sections by pressing and crimping the outer periphery of the cylindrical paper tube into a reinforcing material; and a preform jig provided on the inlet side of the jig frame and configured to provide a pressing force to form a guide line groove on the outer periphery of the cylindrical paper tube, the preform jig being included in a manufacturing apparatus for a tobacco filter paper reinforcing material.

[0012] And a filter rod section made of a paper material, extending along the longitudinal direction, branched into a plurality of branch sections along the width direction, compressed into a cylindrical shape, and having an outer peripheral surface wrapped with a roll of paper; and a paper reinforcing material wrapped with a paper tube such that a hollow reinforcing material having a plurality of support wing sections formed by pressing the cylindrical paper tube at a preset angle is circumscribed to at least one of the front and rear sides of the filter rod section, the paper reinforcing material being inserted into a tobacco filter.

Advantages of the Invention

[0013] Through the above solution means, the present invention provides the following effects.

[0014] First, since the cylindrical paper tube continuously supplied along the longitudinal direction is formed with a linearly formed guide line groove by the preform jig and subsequent pressure forming is stably guided, it is possible to prevent the cylindrical paper tube from being twisted and sheared by the gap of the pressure forming section, and thus significantly improve productivity.

[0015] Second, the pressure forming part is formed in multiple stages along the longitudinal direction of the jig frame, and the elastic spring is adjusted so that it is inserted deeper into the forming hole toward the rear, and the pressure is selectively applied to the cylindrical paper tube. By precisely forming the reinforcing material in this way, dimensional precision can be improved.

[0016] Third, the reinforced filter part with the reinforcing material inserted uses a paper material to maintain environmentally friendly characteristics. However, by supporting the paper tube wrapped around the outer peripheral surface by the plurality of overlapping support wing parts, the shape of the reinforced filter part can be maintained and deformation of the cigarette filter can be prevented.

[0018] Hereinafter, with reference to the accompanying drawings, a manufacturing apparatus for a tobacco filter paper reinforcing material according to a preferred embodiment of the present invention and a tobacco filter in which the paper reinforcing material is inserted will be described in detail. Here, the manufacturing apparatus for the tobacco filter paper reinforcing material is a manufacturing apparatus for manufacturing a tobacco filter by inserting a reinforcing material into the paper-wound tobacco filter, and it is preferably understood that it includes a part of an apparatus for manufacturing a tobacco filter excluding the reinforcing material. At this time, hereinafter, the manufacturing apparatus for the tobacco filter paper reinforcing material is the same apparatus as the reinforcing material manufacturing apparatus, and will be described and illustrated with the same reference numerals.

[0019] FIG. 1 is a side view showing a manufacturing apparatus for a tobacco filter paper reinforcing material according to an embodiment of the present invention, FIG. 2 is a perspective view showing a manufacturing apparatus for a tobacco filter paper reinforcing material according to an embodiment of the present invention, FIG. 3 is a front elevational view showing a manufacturing apparatus for a tobacco filter paper reinforcing material according to an embodiment of the present invention, and FIG. 4 is a cross-sectional view of pressurization by a forming roller in a manufacturing apparatus for a tobacco filter paper reinforcing material according to an embodiment of the present invention.

[0020] As shown in FIGS. 1 to 4, the manufacturing apparatus 100 for the tobacco filter paper reinforcing material preferably includes a paper tube forming part 10, a jig frame 20, a pressure forming part 30, and a preform jig 40.

[0021] Here, the paper tube forming part (10, paper tube forming part) is preferably provided at the last stage through a series of processes for manufacturing a normal paper-wound tobacco filter. Specifically, the series of processes may include pulling out and transferring a paper tow made of paper material from the supply part 10a at a preset pulling speed and cutting the paper tow at a preset width interval from the cutting part 10b. At this time, in the paper tube forming part 10, it is preferable to form a hollow cylindrical paper tube by stacking a plurality of branched parts cut at a preset interval by the cutting part 10b.

[0022] Then, the plurality of overlapping cylindrical paper tubes produced are inserted into the jig frame 20 of the reinforcing material manufacturing apparatus 100 described later, and it is preferable that the jig frame 20 is provided and formed on one adjacent side of the paper tube forming portion 10.

[0023] On the other hand, as shown in FIGS. 1 to 2, it is preferable that the jig frame 20 according to an embodiment of the present invention includes a guide portion 21, a fixing portion 22, and a base support portion 23.

[0024] Here, it is preferable that a paper material reinforcing member 12 provided in the cigarette filter is formed by the jig frame 20. At this time, the guide portion 21 is formed so that a cylindrical paper tube is inserted along the longitudinal direction inside the jig frame 20, and both ends of the guide portion 21 are preferably constrained by the fixing portion 22.

[0025] At this time, the guide portion 21 is preferably formed to extend along the longitudinal direction so as to have a preset interval along the circumferential direction of the outer peripheral surface and a plurality of forming holes 21a are formed on the outer peripheral surface to guide the transfer of the cylindrical paper tube. Further, the forming holes 21a are preferably aligned to face the position of the through hole 23a through which the pressure forming portion 30 passes.

[0026] And the guide portion 21 is preferably fixed to the central portion inside the jig frame 20 by the fixing portion 22. Specifically, although the fixing portion 22 is provided at both ends of the jig frame 20, both ends are constrained by fixing members corresponding to the outer diameter of the guide portion 21 and are preferably connected to the base support portion 23 so as to be fixed to the central portion of the jig frame 20.

[0027] At this time, the cylindrical paper tube is preferably inserted (i) into one side of the guide portion 21 connected to the paper tube forming portion 10. Here, the cylindrical paper tube can be transferred to the guide portion 21 by a separate transfer roller (not shown) between the paper tube forming portion 10 and the jig frame 20.

[0028] Further, although both ends of the base support portion 23 are clamped to the fixing portion 22, it is preferably provided in a form that wraps the outer contour of the guide portion 21. At this time, a surplus space may be formed inside the base support portion 23 where the pressure forming portion 30 can contact and press the guide portion 21.

[0029] Specifically, although the inside of the base support portion 23 is provided in a hollow shape, the outer peripheral surface where the through hole 23a is formed is preferably provided flat so that the pressure forming portion 30 is arranged. At this time, although the surface where the pressure forming portion 30 is not arranged in the base support portion 23 is formed to be open, a transparent shielding film is attached so that the inside of the jig frame 20 can be confirmed.

[0030] On the other hand, the pressure forming portion 30 according to an embodiment of the present invention preferably includes a rod portion 31 and a forming roller 32.

[0031] At this time, although the rod portion 31 is arranged to penetrate each of the through holes 23a, it is preferably provided to extend along the radial direction so as to be inserted into the jig frame 20. At this time, a cylindrical case for accommodating one end of the rod portion 31 is preferably provided on the outer surface of the base support portion 23. Here, a case step may be formed so that the cylindrical case is fixed to the base support portion 23.

[0032] And, an elastic spring 31a is preferably interposed at the rear end portion of the rod portion 31 so that the pressure forming portion 30 is selectively fixed to the pressure position along the radial direction. Further, the end of the rear end portion of the rod portion 31 is preferably formed of a restraint portion having a diameter equal to or larger than that of the rod portion 31 so that the elastic spring 31a is provided between the cylindrical case and the restraint portion.

[0033] At this time, it is preferable that the elastic spring 31a rotates so that the forming roller 32 is inserted into the forming hole 21a and fixed at the pressing position. At this time, it is preferable to understand that the pressing position is the depth at which the forming roller 32 is inserted into the cylindrical paper tube.

[0034] Furthermore, the pressing position can be changed according to the rotation speed of the elastic spring 31a. Also, the lock of the elastic spring 31a can be released so that the forming roller 32 can be moved backward from the forming hole 21a.

[0035] On the other hand, although the forming roller 32 is rotatably connected to the end of the rod portion 31, it is preferably provided within the base support portion 23. At this time, it is preferable that the outer peripheral surface of the forming roller 32 is provided so that the cross section becomes narrower toward the outside so as to rotatably press-contact the cylindrical paper tube to form the support wing portion 12a.

[0036] Specifically, although it is connected to the forming roller 32 at the end of the rod portion 31, it is preferable that a fastening member is fastened so that the forming roller 32 can rotate. At this time, it is preferable that the fastening member is connected to the center so that the forming roller 32 can rotate. That is, it is preferable that the cylindrical paper tube in the guide portion 21 is pressed and formed along the outer peripheral surface of the forming roller 32.

[0037] And it is preferable that a plurality of the pressure forming portions 30 are provided at intervals separated in the longitudinal direction of the jig frame 20 to press the cylindrical paper tube.

[0038] Furthermore, the pressure forming portions 30 are formed in a plurality of stages along the longitudinal direction of the jig frame 20 so as to be inserted deeper into the inside of the forming hole 21a toward the rear. At this time, by adjusting the elastic spring 31a to selectively provide a pressing force along the longitudinal direction to the cylindrical paper tube, the reinforcing material 12 can be precisely formed to improve dimensional precision.

[0039] Further, a pressing means for selectively pressing the pressure forming portion 30 may be connected to the rear end portion of the rod portion 31. At this time, a compressive force may be provided to the pressure forming portion 30 by the pressing means utilizing pneumatic pressure, hydraulic pressure, etc. Also, the pressing means may be automated by an electric device to control the pressure forming portion 30.

[0040] Accordingly, it is preferable that the cylindrical paper tube is formed of the reinforcing material 12 by the pressure forming portion 30. At this time, it is preferable that the reinforcing material 12 presses and crimps the outer periphery of the cylindrical paper tube to form a plurality of support wing portions 12a.

[0041] On the other hand, the preform jig 40 according to an embodiment of the present invention preferably includes a preform main body portion 41 and a preform protrusion 42. Here, the preform jig 40 is preferably provided at a stage prior to the pressure forming portion 30.

[0042] At this time, the preform jig 40 is preferably provided on one side of the jig frame 20, and the cylindrical paper tube is preformed by the preform protrusion 42 and transferred. That is, although the preform main body portion 41 is connected to the inlet side of the base support portion 23, it is preferable that an insertion hole 41a through which the cylindrical paper tube penetrates is formed inside. Here, the upper and lower portions of the preform main body portion 41 are preferably coupled and fixed to the fixing portion 22. At this time, the guide portion 21 may be inserted into the insertion hole 41a to be formed.

[0043] And a plurality of the preform protrusions 42 are preferably arranged along the circumferential direction of the preform main body portion 41 corresponding to the arrangement intervals of the through holes 23a. At this time, the preform protrusions 42 preferably form guide line grooves by frictionally contacting and pressing the outer periphery of the cylindrical paper tube. Here, it is preferable to understand that the guide line grooves are lines formed before the cylindrical paper tube is formed of the reinforcing material 12 by the preform protrusions 42.

[0044] Further, it is preferable that a spring is provided at the rear end portion of the preform protrusion 25, and the front end portion is inserted into the guide line groove and protrudes to press the cylindrical paper tube. At this time, it is preferable that the preform protrusion 25 is fixed by the rotation of the spring to maintain the insertion of the preform protrusion 25 into the forming hole 21a. At this time, the pressing means may be connected to the rear end portion where the spring is wound up to be automated.

[0045] Referring to FIG. 3, the preform protrusion 42 assists in forming the paper material reinforcing member 12 by the pressure forming portion 30, and the cylindrical paper tube pressed by the preform protrusion 42 is preferably pre-formed to form a preform paper tube 11a. At this time, the preform paper tube 11a is preferably transferred to the jig frame 20 by the guide portion 21.

[0046] That is, it is preferable that the preform protrusion 42 is frictionally contact-pressed along the central line between the support wing portions 12a to form the preform paper tube 11a in which the guide line groove is formed.

[0047] Referring to FIG. 4, the forming roller 32 is formed with a width narrower than that of the preform protrusion 42, and preferably protrudes further adjacent to the center of the cylindrical paper tube so as to apply pressure along the guide line groove of the preform paper tube 11a.

[0048] Accordingly, the cylindrical paper tube 11a continuously supplied along the longitudinal direction is formed with the guide line groove straightened by the preform jig 20, and subsequent pressure forming is stably guided. Therefore, it is possible to prevent the cylindrical paper tube from being twisted and sheared due to the gap of the pressure forming portion 30, and significantly improve productivity.

[0049] Further, the preformed paper tube 11a formed by preforming the cylindrical paper tube formed by overlapping a plurality of the rolled papers is compressed and formed again by the pressure forming unit 30, and the plurality of overlapping rolled papers are pressure-bonded, so that the strength of the reinforcing material 12 increases, whereby the durability of the tobacco filter 200 can be improved.

[0050] And, it is preferable that a transmission device 22a is provided at an outlet through which the reinforcing material 12 is discharged along the transfer direction of the base support portion 23 so that the reinforcing material 12 is transferred. Here, the transmission device 22a is preferably fastened to the fixed portion 22 in the opposite direction to which the preform jig 40 is attached.

[0051] Specifically, although the transmission device 22a is fastened to the lower end surface of a plate material coupled so as to be perpendicular to the fixed portion 22, it is preferably disposed on both sides with the reinforcing material 12 as the center. At this time, although the transmission device 22a is provided in a roller shape provided with a groove, it is preferably rotated by engaging with the groove in which the reinforcing material 12 is recessed and transfers the reinforcing material 12 forward.

[0052] On the other hand, referring to FIGS. 5 to 6, it is preferable that the tobacco filter 200 into which the paper reinforcing material manufactured by the reinforcing material manufacturing apparatus 100 is inserted is formed by coupling a filter rod portion 210 made of paper material and a reinforcing filter portion 220. Specifically, it is preferable that the tobacco filter 200 provided with the reinforcing material for the paper-wrapped tobacco filter is integrally formed by wrapping the filter rod portion 210 and the reinforcing filter portion 220 with an outer paper tube 230.

[0053] At this time, it is preferable that the reinforcing filter portion 220 is provided inside with a hollow-shaped reinforcing material 12 in which a plurality of cylindrical paper tubes formed by overlapping the rolled papers are pressure-bonded and a plurality of support wing portions 12a are formed at preset angular intervals along the circumferential direction. Here, although the support wing portions 12a are formed at a plurality of locations at preset angular intervals along the circumferential direction, they are provided so that the cross section becomes narrower toward the outside.

[0054] Further, it is preferable that the reinforcing filter part 220 is provided such that its outer peripheral surface is wrapped by a wrapper made of paper material so as to wrap the outer surface of the reinforcing material 12. At this time, it is preferable that the reinforcing material 12 is wrapped by a wrapper (not shown) made of paper material so as to be circumscribed by the reinforcing filter part 220 and formed.

[0055] Here, it is preferable that the filter rod part 210 is formed in a cylindrical shape similar to the cylindrical paper tube. Specifically, the filter rod part 210 is made of paper material, and paper tow extending along the longitudinal direction is branched into a plurality of branched parts along the width direction and formed by being compressed into a cylindrical shape, and its outer peripheral surface is preferably wrapped by a wrapper (not shown) made of paper material and provided.

[0056] At this time, it is preferable to understand that the wrapper (not shown) wrapping the filter rod part 210 and the reinforcing filter part 220 is formed of the same paper material by the same manufacturing process. And it is preferable to understand that the paper tube (not shown) is included in and provided for the filter rod part 210 and the reinforcing filter part 220 respectively.

[0057] Further, although the reinforcing filter part 220 is provided on at least one of the front and rear sides of the filter rod part 210, a capsule for enhancing flavor may be inserted into the filter rod part 210 and provided.

[0058] Accordingly, although the reinforcing filter part 220 with the reinforcing material 12 inserted therein maintains environmentally friendly characteristics using paper material, by supporting the paper tube wrapped around the outer peripheral surface of the support wing parts 12a formed by overlapping a plurality of them, the shape of the reinforcing filter part 220 can be maintained and deformation of the cigarette filter 200 can be prevented.

[0059] On the one hand, FIG. 7 is a schematic diagram showing a manufacturing method by a manufacturing apparatus for a reinforcing material for a tobacco filter paper according to an embodiment of the present invention. At this time, the cylindrical paper tube can generally be manufactured by a manufacturing method for making a circular paper tube. That is, although it is manufactured by the series of processes at the previous stage of the paper tube forming section 10, it is preferably understood that it is formed in the circular paper tubes that are overlapped by the paper tube forming section 10.

[0060] Specifically, the supply section 10a supplies the paper tow made of a paper material, but is provided to draw out and transfer it at a preset drawing speed. And although the cutting section 10b is arranged on one side of the supply section 10a, it preferably includes a plurality of cutting blades that cut the paper tow so as to be branched into a plurality of the branch portions at a uniform interval in the width direction.

[0061] Also, each of the cutting blades can be arranged along the transfer direction of the paper tow. Along with this, the paper tow supplied to the cutting section 10b can be continuously branched along the longitudinal direction of the paper tow at the plurality of branch portions. At this time, although the paper tube forming section 10 is arranged on one side of the cutting section 10b, it is preferable that the branch portions are overlapped to form the cylindrical paper tube, and the cylindrical paper tube is transferred to the jig frame 20.

[0062] And the jig frame 20 is preferably connected to the second paper tube forming section 10c so that it can be immediately transferred to the next step to form the reinforcing filter section 220 by wrapping the formed reinforcing material 12 with winding paper on the outer peripheral surface.

[0063] At this time, it is preferable that the second paper tube forming part 10c is provided to manufacture the reinforcing filter part 220 by wrapping the outer peripheral surface of the reinforcing material 12 with the winding paper. Here, the reinforcing material 12 is transferred to the second paper tube forming part 10c that forms a circular paper tube so as to wrap the outer peripheral surface of the reinforcing material 12 by the transfer device 22a formed on one side of the jig frame 20, whereby the reinforcing filter part 220 can be formed without a separate transfer device and the productivity can be improved.

[0064] As described above, the present invention is not limited to the above-described respective embodiments, and it is possible to carry out deformation implementation by those having ordinary knowledge in the technical field to which the present invention pertains without departing from the scope claimed in the claims of the present invention, and such deformation implementation belongs to the scope of the present invention.
