Abstract
Description
Technical Field
[0001] The present invention relates to a furniture member used, for example, as a leg support of a table and furniture including the same.
Background Art
[0002] Tables and the like installed in offices have a structure in which a tabletop is supported by leg supports. When a personal computer or the like is placed on the tabletop, power lines and communication lines may overflow around. Therefore, in order to solve such problems, there is a table in which a wiring insertion portion is formed in the leg support to store the wiring.
[0003] As a conventional table, there is one in which a wiring duct device for dropping the wiring of an electronic device used on the tabletop to the floor surface is configured to extend substantially the entire vertical length of the support leg (2) of the tabletop (see, for example, Patent Document 1). The wiring duct device includes a support leg (2), a cover attachment member (3) attached to the support leg (2), and a cover member (4).
[0004] Engagement grooves (5) continuous in the vertical direction are formed in the vicinity of the front end portions on both side surfaces (2b) of the support leg (2). The cover attachment member (3) has side walls (6), and vertical locking projections (9) that engage with the engagement grooves (5) of the support leg (2) are formed inside between the side walls (6). The cover attachment member (3) is inserted from the front of the support leg (2), and the locking projection (9) is engaged with the engagement groove (5) of the support leg (2), whereby the cover attachment member (3) is held by the support leg (2).
[0005] Engagement holes (12) are formed at two positions, upper and lower, on the left and right side ends of the front wall (7) of the cover attachment member (3). The cover member (4) has locking pieces (13) protruding rearward that are locked to the engagement holes (12) of the cover attachment member (3). The cover member (4) is attached to the cover attachment member (3) by inserting the tips of the locking pieces (13) into the engagement holes (12) of the cover attachment member (3). Wiring spaces (14a, 14b) are formed inside the cover member (4), and communication lines and power lines are wired in the wiring spaces (14a, 14b).

Summary of the Invention
Problems to be Solved by the Invention
[0007] However, when forming a wiring space for wiring communication lines and power lines, if the cover member (4) is attached to the cover attachment member (3) after the cover attachment member (3) is attached to the support leg (2), the cover attachment member (3) becomes visible over almost the entire length in the vertical direction of the support leg (2), which significantly impairs the design appearance of the table.
[0008] Note that the problem of significantly impairing the design appearance of furniture due to the visible appearance of the component attachment part for attaching components to furniture members is not limited to the case of forming a wiring space in the leg support of a table as described above. For example, it also occurs in the case of attaching an adjuster to the leg support of a table or attaching a shelf board to the support of storage furniture.
[0009] An object of the present invention is to provide a furniture member that can suppress significantly impairing the design appearance of furniture due to the visible appearance of the component attachment part for attaching components to furniture members, and furniture including the same.

Embodiments for Carrying Out the Invention
[0034] Hereinafter, embodiments of the present invention will be described with reference to the drawings.
[0035] (First Embodiment) Table 1 of this embodiment is furniture with a top plate, which is preferably used in an office or the like. Table 1 is preferably used in a work mode where an electronic device such as a personal computer that requires power supply is used on the top plate 2, for example. As shown in FIGS. 1 and 2, Table 1 has a top plate 2, a wiring duct 3 attached to the lower surface of the top plate 2, and a support mechanism 5 that supports the top plate 2.
[0036] A substantially rectangular top plate opening 2a is formed in the central portion of the top plate 2, and a wiring duct 3 is disposed below the top plate opening 2a of the top plate 2. Two lid members 2b are disposed in the top plate opening 2a. A gap for inserting wirings of the electronic device is formed between the two lid members 2b.
[0037] The top plate opening 2a and the wiring duct 3 communicate with each other, and the lid member 2b is supported by the top plate 2 so as to be openable and closable by a rotation mechanism (not shown). Therefore, the wiring duct 3 is configured to be openable and closable by the lid member 2b.
[0038] The support mechanism 5 has a pair of reinforcing beams 5a extending in the front-rear direction, a pair of reinforcing beams 5b extending in the left-right direction, and four legs 6 that support the lower surfaces near the four corners of the top plate 2 on the lower surface of the top plate 2. The reinforcing beam 5a and the reinforcing beam 5b are fixed to the lower surface of the top plate 2 so as to surround the top plate opening 2a.
[0039] The leg portion 6 has a bracket 6a connected to the end of the reinforcing beam 5a and attached to the top plate 2, and a vertically extending leg support 10 fixed to the bracket 6a.
[0040] As shown in FIG. 3, the leg support 10, which is a furniture member according to the present invention, has a tubular member 12 extending in the vertical direction, a cover member 16, and an adjuster 18.
[0041] As shown in FIG. 4, the tubular member 12 has a first side surface 12a, two second side surfaces 12b respectively extending from both ends of the first side surface 12a, and two third side surfaces 12c extending from the tip portions of the second side surfaces 12b (the ends opposite to the ends of the first side surface 12a). The first side surface 12a, the two second side surfaces 12b, and the two third side surfaces 12c are all substantially rectangular plate-like members extending in the vertical direction and have substantially the same thickness.
[0042] The two third side surfaces 12c extend so as to be inclined from the ends of the second side surfaces 12b toward the first side surface 12a. The two third side surfaces 12c are substantially opposed to each other, and the tip portions of the two third side surfaces 12c (the ends opposite to the ends of the second side surfaces 12b) are continuous. Therefore, the two third side surfaces 12c are formed in a concave shape toward the inside of the tubular member 12.
[0043] Thus, a concave surface 30 is formed on the outer peripheral surface of the tubular member 12 so as to extend from the upper end portion (base end portion) to the lower end portion (tip portion) of the tubular member 12. In a cross-section (horizontal cross-section) perpendicular to the longitudinal direction of the tubular member 12, the width of the concave surface 30 is the largest at the outermost peripheral portion and gradually decreases toward the inside. Therefore, the horizontal cross-section of the concave surface 30 is formed in a substantially V shape by the two third side surfaces 12c.
[0044] As shown in FIGS. 4(b) and 4(c), the horizontal cross-section of the cylindrical member 12 is substantially the same from its upper end to its lower end. In the horizontal cross-section of the cylindrical member 12, substantially the entire area of the first side surface 12a is disposed outside a straight line t1 passing through both ends thereof, and the first side surface 12a is formed convex outward. Similarly, substantially the entire area of the two second side surfaces 12b is disposed outside a straight line t2 passing through both ends thereof, and the two second side surfaces 12b are formed convex outward. Thus, the two second side surfaces 12b disposed on both sides of the concave surface 30 are curved surfaces convex outward having a curvature. In contrast, the concave surface 30 has two substantially opposing third side surfaces 12c, and the two third side surfaces 12c are flat planes.
[0045] Note that the cylindrical member 12 is formed by performing press forming on, for example, a rectangular pipe having a rectangular cross-section. The pipe material forming the cylindrical member 12 is, for example, made of a steel pipe having a pipe shape. Specifically, it is formed into a tubular shape by rolling a steel sheet and welding the ends together.
[0046] In the present embodiment, press forming is performed using a press machine and a simple mold so that the side surface on the long side of the rectangular pipe is pressed. When a rectangular pipe is used as the pipe material, if the flat portion is press formed, the concave surface 30 becomes a straight line in the cross-sectional shape. Further, by forming the remaining three surfaces (the first side surface 12a and the two second side surfaces 12b) into a shape having a curvature, it is possible to enhance the designability.
[0047] Four openings 31 are formed in the concave surface 30. Specifically, the four openings 31 are substantially rectangular, and two openings are respectively formed on two substantially opposite third side surfaces 12c that form the concave surface 30. The two openings 31 formed on one third side surface 12c are arranged at positions separated in the vertical direction and close to the outer end of the third side surface 12c. The opening 31 is a component mounting portion T for attaching the cover member 16 to the concave surface 30. Thus, although the openings 31 are formed on two substantially opposite third side surfaces 12c, it is usually difficult to form openings on two substantially opposite surfaces. However, in this embodiment, it is realized by forming four openings 31 in a rectangular pipe and then post-processing (press forming) the pipe.
[0048] The cover member 16 is a member for forming a wiring passage portion A in the concave surface 30, and as shown in FIGS. 5(a) and 5(b), it is a substantially rectangular plate-shaped member extending in the vertical direction. Convex portions 16a are respectively formed over the entire length at both ends in the short side direction of the cover member 16. As shown in FIG. 5(c), the convex portion 16a has two locking portions 16b separated in the vertical direction, and the locking portions 16b are formed so as to be insertable into two openings 31 arranged in the vertical direction of the concave surface 30.
[0049] Therefore, in the table 1 of this embodiment, as shown in FIG. 3(b), when the cover member 16 is attached to the concave surface 30 of the cylindrical member 12, the wiring passage portion A is formed in the concave surface 30. Therefore, the wiring of the power outlet arranged in the wiring duct 3 passes through the wiring passage portion A extending in the vertical direction inside the leg support 10.
[0050] In the table 1 of this embodiment, the four leg supports 10 are respectively arranged such that the concave surface 30 of the cylindrical member 12 faces the central portion of the top plate 2. Therefore, the wiring passing through the wiring passage portion A becomes invisible in appearance because it is covered by the cover member 16. Further, both the cover member 16 and the opening 31 to which the cover member 16 is attached become difficult to see in appearance.
[0051] In the cylindrical member 10, as shown in Fig. 4(a), substantially rectangular notches 12d are respectively formed in a part of the lower ends of the two third side surfaces 12c. The two notches 12d formed in the two third side surfaces 12c are continuous and form a single notch portion 33. That is, the notch portion 33 is formed by shortening the longitudinal length of a part of the two third side surfaces 12c, which are concave portions, compared to the longitudinal lengths of one side surface 12a and the two second side surfaces 12b, which are outer peripheral portions of the cylindrical member 10. The notch portion 33 is a component mounting portion T for mounting the adjuster mounting member 18a to the concave surface 30. The adjuster mounting member 18a is a rectangular plate-like member.
[0052] Fig. 6 shows a method of attaching the adjuster 18 to the lower end portion of the cylindrical member 12. As shown in Figs. 6(a) and 6(b), the adjuster mounting member 18a is fixed to the cylindrical member 12 by welding in a state of being in contact with the notch portion 33. The adjuster mounting member 18a has a threaded hole 18b formed in its center. Therefore, as shown in Fig. 6(c), the threaded portion 18c of the adjuster 18 is fastened and fixed to the threaded hole 18b of the adjuster mounting member 18a.
[0053] Therefore, in the table 1 of the present embodiment, when the adjuster mounting member 18a is attached to the notch portion 33, the lower end portions of the notches 12d of the two third side surfaces 12c are fixed to the central portion of the upper surface of the adjuster mounting member 18a. Therefore, the positioning of the adjuster mounting member 18a becomes easy, and it is more advantageous in terms of load.
[0054] As described above, the leg support 10 of the present embodiment is a cylindrical member 12 provided with a concave surface 30 extending from the base end side to the tip end side by deforming a steel pipe on its outer peripheral surface, and a component mounting portion T for mounting components is provided on the concave surface 30.
[0055] Accordingly, in the leg support 10 of the present embodiment, the component mounting portion T for mounting components is provided on the concave surface 30 formed on the outer peripheral surface of the cylindrical member 12, and the component mounting portion T is difficult to be seen from the appearance of the furniture. Therefore, it is possible to suppress a significant impairment of the design appearance of the furniture due to the component mounting portion T being visually apparent on the leg support 10.
[0056] In the leg support 10 of the present embodiment, the concave surface 30 has two substantially opposing third side surfaces 12c, and the component mounting portion T is an opening 31 formed in the two third side surfaces 12c.
[0057] Accordingly, in the leg support 10 of the present embodiment, the component mounting portion T provided on the concave surface 30 formed on the outer peripheral surface of the cylindrical member 12 can be easily configured.
[0058] In the leg support 10 of the present embodiment, the component mounting portion T is a notch portion formed by making the longitudinal length of a part of the concave surface portion shorter than the longitudinal length of the outer peripheral portion of the cylindrical member 12.
[0059] Accordingly, in the leg support 10 of the present embodiment, the operation of welding components such as the adjuster 18 to the end of the cylindrical member 12 is facilitated.
[0060] In the leg support 10 of the present embodiment, in a cross-section perpendicular to the longitudinal direction of the cylindrical member 12, the width of the concave surface 30 is maximum at the outermost peripheral portion and gradually decreases toward the inside.
[0061] Accordingly, in the leg support 10 of the present embodiment, the concave surface 30 formed on the outer peripheral surface of the cylindrical member 12 can be easily formed, for example, by press forming.
[0062] In the leg support 10 of the present embodiment, the first side surface 12a and the two second side surfaces 12b other than the concave surface 30 on the outer peripheral surface of the cylindrical member 12 are formed convexly outward.
[0063] Accordingly, in the leg support 10 of the present embodiment, the design property of the table 1 is improved.
[0064] In the leg support 10 of the present embodiment, an adjuster mounting member 18a is attached to the component mounting portion T.
[0065] Accordingly, in the leg support 10 of the present embodiment, even when the adjuster 18 is attached to the concave surface 30 of the cylindrical member 12, it is possible to suppress significantly damaging the design appearance of the table 1.
[0066] In the leg support 10 of the present embodiment, a cover member 16 for forming a wiring passage portion A in the concave surface 30 is attached to the component mounting portion T.
[0067] Accordingly, in the leg support 10 of the present embodiment, even when the cover member 16 is attached to the concave surface 30 of the cylindrical member 12, it is possible to suppress significantly damaging the design appearance of the table 1.
[0068] (Second Embodiment) The difference between the leg support 110 of the present embodiment and the leg support 10 of the first embodiment is that the leg support 10 of the first embodiment has the cover member 16, while the leg support 110 of the present embodiment has the stopper 116 and the attachment method of the adjuster mounting member 18a. For the parts where the leg support 110 of the present embodiment and the leg support 10 of the first embodiment have the same configuration, the detailed description thereof will be omitted.
[0069] As shown in FIG. 7, the leg support 110, which is a furniture member according to the present invention, has a cylindrical member 12 extending in the vertical direction, a stopper 116, and an adjuster 18.
[0070] The cylindrical member 12 has a first side surface 12a, two second side surfaces 12b, and two third side surfaces 12c. A concave surface 30 is formed on the outer peripheral surface of the cylindrical member 12 so as to extend from the upper end portion (base end portion) to the lower end portion (tip end portion) of the cylindrical member 12.
[0071] As shown in Fig. 8(a), four openings 131 are formed in the concave surface 30. The four openings 131 are substantially rectangular, and two openings are formed in each of the two third side surfaces 12c that form the concave surface 30. The two openings 131 formed in one third side surface 12c are arranged at positions separated in the vertical direction and close to the outer end of the third side surface 12c. The two openings 131 on the upper side of the concave surface 30 are formed at substantially the same height, and the two openings 131 on the lower side of the concave surface 30 are formed at substantially the same height. The opening 131 is a component mounting portion T for attaching the fixture 116 to the concave surface 30.
[0072] As shown in Fig. 8(a), the fixture 116 is a long resin member. Locking portions 116a for attaching to the openings 131 of the concave surface 30 are formed at both ends of the fixture 116. The locking portion 116a has a first portion 116a1 inserted into the opening 131 and a second portion 116a2 that contacts the concave surface 30 when the first portion 116a1 is inserted into the opening 131. The length between the two second portions 116a2 in the fixture 116 is longer than the length between the two openings 131 at substantially the same height.
[0073] As shown in Figs. 9(a) and 9(b), the fixture 116 is flexible. When attaching the fixture 116 to the concave surface 30, the fixture 116 is bent, and the first portions 116a1 at both ends are inserted into the two openings 131 at substantially the same height respectively. Then, when the force for bending the fixture 116 is removed, as shown in Fig. 9(c), the fixture 116 is attached to the concave surface 30.
[0074] Therefore, in the table of this embodiment, as shown in Fig. 7(b), when the fixture 116 is attached to the concave surface 30 of the cylindrical member 12, the wiring passage portion A is formed in the concave surface 30. Therefore, the wiring of the power outlet arranged in the wiring duct 3 passes through the wiring passage portion A extending in the vertical direction inside the leg support 110.
[0075] In the table of this embodiment, the four leg supports 110 are respectively arranged such that the concave surface 30 of the cylindrical member 12 faces the central portion of the top plate 2. Therefore, the wiring passing through the wiring passing portion A becomes difficult to see externally. Furthermore, both the stopper 116 and the opening 131 to which the stopper 116 is attached become difficult to see externally. Also, since the wiring passing through the wiring passing portion A is arranged inside the stopper 116, it is possible to prevent the wiring from moving outside the wiring passing portion A.
[0076] In the cylindrical member 12, near the lower end portions of the two third side surfaces 12c, as shown in FIG. 8(a), substantially rectangular openings 133 are formed. The adjuster mounting member 18a is a rectangular plate-like member and is formed so as to be insertable into the opening 133. The adjuster mounting member 18a is fixed to the cylindrical member 12 by welding in a state of being inserted into the opening 133 as shown in FIG. 8(b). The opening 133 is a component mounting portion T for mounting the adjuster mounting member 18a to the concave surface 30.
[0077] As described above, in the leg support 110 of this embodiment and the table including the same, similar to the first embodiment, the openings 131 and 133 formed in the leg support 110 are difficult to see externally.
[0078] (Third Embodiment) The difference between the support column 210 of this embodiment and the leg support 10 of the first embodiment is that, while the cover member 16 of the support column 210 of the first embodiment is attached by inserting the locking portion 16b into the opening 31 of the concave surface 30, the cover member 216 of the support column 210 of this embodiment is attached to the concave surface 30 by a magnet. For the parts where the support column 210 of this embodiment and the leg support 10 of the first embodiment have the same configuration, the detailed description thereof will be omitted.
[0079] The cylindrical member 12 has a first side surface 12a, two second side surfaces 12b, and two third side surfaces 12c. On the outer peripheral surface of the cylindrical member 12, a concave surface 30 is formed so as to extend from the upper end portion (base end portion) to the lower end portion (tip end portion) of the cylindrical member 12. The concave surface 30 has two substantially opposing third side surfaces 12c, and the two third side surfaces 12c are flat planes.
[0080] The cover member 216 is a member for forming a wiring passage portion A in the concave surface 30, and is a substantially rectangular plate-like member extending in the vertical direction as shown in FIGS. 10(a) and 10(b). Convex portions 216a are formed over the entire length at both ends of the cover member 216 in the short side direction. Magnets 216b are disposed over the entire length at the tip ends of the convex portions 216a.
[0081] When the front end surface of the magnet 216b is attached to the concave surface 30, it is inclined so as to be in surface contact with the two third side surfaces 12c forming the concave surface 30. Therefore, the cover member 216 is attached to the two third side surfaces 12c forming the concave surface 30 by the magnet 216b. In the present embodiment, the surfaces of the two third side surfaces 12c forming the concave surface 30 are component mounting portions T for attaching the cover member 216 to the concave surface 30.
[0082] Therefore, in the table of the present embodiment, as shown in FIG. 10(c), when the cover member 216 is attached to the concave surface 30 of the cylindrical member 12, the wiring passage portion A is formed in the concave surface 30. Therefore, the wiring of the power outlet disposed in the wiring duct 3 passes through the wiring passage portion A extending in the vertical direction inside the leg support 210.
[0083] In the table of the present embodiment, the four leg supports 210 are respectively arranged such that the concave surface 30 of the cylindrical member 12 faces the central portion of the top plate 2. Therefore, the wiring passing through the wiring passage portion A becomes invisible in appearance because it is covered by the cover member 216. Further, both the cover member 216 and the concave surface 30 to which the cover member 216 is attached become difficult to see in appearance.
[0084] As described above, in the leg support 210 of the present embodiment and the table including the same, similar to the first embodiment, the concave surface 30 formed in the leg support 210 is difficult to be visually recognized.
[0085] In the leg support 210 of the present embodiment, the concave surface 30 has two flat third side surfaces 12c, and the component mounting portion T is the surface of the third side surface 12c.
[0086] Accordingly, in the leg support 210 of the present embodiment, components can be attached to the concave surface 30 by, for example, a magnet without separately forming, for example, an opening or a notch as the component mounting portion T with respect to the concave surface 30.
[0087] (Fourth Embodiment) The difference between the support column 310 of the present embodiment and the leg support 10 of the first embodiment is that the leg support 10 of the first embodiment is a furniture member used for the table 1, while the support column 310 of the present embodiment is a furniture member used for the storage furniture 301. For the parts where the support column 310 of the present embodiment and the leg support 10 of the first embodiment have the same configuration, the detailed description thereof will be omitted.
[0088] As shown in FIG. 11, the storage furniture 301 has five shelf boards 302 and four support columns 310 that support the shelf boards 302.
[0089] The support column 310, which is a furniture member according to the present invention, has a cylindrical member 312 extending in the vertical direction and five shelf support members 316 as shown in FIG. 12.
[0090] Similar to the cylindrical member 12 of the first embodiment, as shown in FIGS. 13(a) and 13(b), the cylindrical member 312 has a first side surface 312a, two second side surfaces 312b, and two third side surfaces 312c. A concave surface 330 is formed on the outer peripheral surface of the cylindrical member 312 so as to extend from the upper end portion (base end portion) to the lower end portion (tip end portion) of the cylindrical member 312. In the horizontal cross-section of the cylindrical member 312, the two third side surfaces 312c forming the concave surface 330 are continuous at approximately 90 degrees, and the horizontal cross-section of the concave surface 330 is formed in a substantially V shape by the two third side surfaces 312c.
[0091] As shown in FIG. 13(a), five openings 331 are formed in the concave surface 330. The five openings 331 are substantially rectangular and are arranged at positions separated in the vertical direction. The shelf support member 316 is a rectangular plate-like member and is formed so as to be insertable into the openings 331. The openings 331 are component attachment portions T for attaching the shelf support member 316 to the concave surface 330.
[0092] FIGS. 13(b) and 13(c) show a horizontal cross-section at the height where the shelf support member 316 is attached. The shelf support member 316 is fixed to the cylindrical member 312 by welding in a state of being inserted into the openings 331.
[0093] FIG. 14 shows a horizontal cross-section at the height where the shelf 302 of the storage furniture 301 is attached. The shelf 302 is supported by four shelf support members 316. In the storage furniture 301 of the present embodiment, the four support columns 310 are respectively arranged such that the concave surface 330 of the cylindrical member 312 faces the substantially central portion of the shelf 302. Therefore, the openings 331 to which the shelf support members 316 are attached are all difficult to see in appearance.
[0094] As described above, in the support column 310 and the storage furniture 301 including the same according to the present embodiment, similar to the first embodiment, the openings 331 formed in the support column 310 are difficult to see in appearance.
[0095] In the support column 310 of the present embodiment, a shelf support member 316 for supporting the shelf 302 is attached to the component attachment portion T.
[0096] As a result, in the support column 310 of the present embodiment, even when the shelf board support member 316 for supporting the shelf board 102 is attached to the concave surface 330 formed on the outer peripheral surface of the cylindrical member 312, it is possible to suppress significantly damaging the design appearance of the furniture.
[0097] Note that the specific configuration is not limited to only the above-described embodiment.
[0098] In the above-described first embodiment, the cylindrical member 12 is formed by performing press molding on a rectangular pipe having a rectangular cross section, and has a first side surface 12a, two second side surfaces 12b, and two third side surfaces 12c. However, the configuration of the cylindrical member 12 is arbitrary. That is, by forming the cross-sectional shape of the cylindrical member 12 into various shapes, the range of design is widened. The same applies to the cylindrical members of the second to fourth embodiments.
[0099] For example, the cylindrical member 12 may be formed by performing press molding on a rectangular pipe having a rectangular cross section as shown in FIG. 15(a), and as shown in FIG. 15(b), it may have a first side surface 12a, two second side surfaces 12b extending from both ends of the first side surface 12a, two third side surfaces 12c extending from the tip portions of the second side surfaces 12b (the ends opposite to the ends of the first side surface 12a), and a fourth side surface 12d that is continuous with the tip portions of the two third side surfaces 12c and is arranged along the first side surface 12a. In that case, the cross-sectional shape of the concave surface 30 formed on the outer peripheral surface of the cylindrical member 12 is formed into a substantially trapezoidal shape by the two third side surfaces 12c and the fourth side surface 12d.
[0100] As described above, in the leg support 10 of the present embodiment, in the cross section perpendicular to the longitudinal direction of the cylindrical member 12, the cross-sectional shape of the concave surface 30 is formed into a substantially trapezoidal shape.
[0101] In the leg support 10 of the present embodiment, for example, the concave surface 30 formed on the outer peripheral surface of the cylindrical member 12 can be easily formed by press molding.
[0102] Further, the cylindrical member 12 may be formed by performing press forming on a pipe having a circular cross section as shown in Fig. 16(a), and may have a first side surface 12a and two second side surfaces 12b extending from both ends of the first side surface 12a as shown in Fig. 16(b).
[0103] Further, the cylindrical member 12 may be formed by performing press forming on a pipe having an oval cross section as shown in Fig. 17(a), and may have a first side surface 12a and two second side surfaces 12b extending from both ends of the first side surface 12a as shown in Fig. 17(b).
[0104] Further, the cylindrical member 12 may be formed by performing press forming on a pipe having a substantially rectangular cross section as shown in Fig. 18(a), and may have a first side surface 12a, two second side surfaces 12b extending from both ends of the first side surface 12a, and two third side surfaces 12c extending from the tip portions of the second side surfaces 12b (the ends opposite to the ends of the first side surface 12a) as shown in Fig. 18(b).
[0105] In the first embodiment, the opening 31 and the notch 33 are formed as the component mounting portion T for mounting a component on the concave surface 30. However, the configuration of the component mounting portion T and the method of mounting the component on the component mounting portion T are arbitrary. That is, when forming an opening or a notch, the shape, size, and arrangement of the opening or the notch are arbitrary. When forming a notch as the component mounting portion, it may be formed by making the longitudinal length of the entire concave surface portion shorter than the longitudinal length of the outer peripheral portion of the cylindrical member. The same applies to the cylindrical members of the second to fourth embodiments.
[0106] In the first embodiment, the cylindrical member 12 is formed by performing press forming on a pipe having a predetermined cross-sectional shape. However, the manufacturing method of the cylindrical member 12 is not limited thereto. For example, the cylindrical member 12 may be formed by roll forming. The same applies to the cylindrical members of the second to fourth embodiments.
[0107] In the above-described first embodiment, the cross-section (horizontal cross-section) of the cylindrical member 12 is substantially the same shape from its upper end portion (base end portion) to its lower end portion (tip end portion), but it is not limited thereto. For example, the cylindrical member 12 may be formed in a tapered shape in a side view such that the cross-sectional area of the cylindrical member 12 decreases as it approaches the lower end portion from the upper end portion, and the cross-section (horizontal cross-section) of the cylindrical member 12 may be different between its upper end portion and lower end portion. The same applies to the cylindrical members in the second to fourth embodiments.
[0108] In the above-described first embodiment, the case where the cover member 16 and the adjuster 18 are attached as components attached to the concave surface 30 of the cylindrical member 12 has been described, but the components attached to the concave surface 30 of the cylindrical member 12 are arbitrary. The component attached to the concave surface 30 of the cylindrical member 12 may be, for example, a caster or the like. The same applies to the cylindrical members in the second to fourth embodiments.
[0109] In the above-described first embodiment, the first side surface 12a and the two second side surfaces 12b are formed to be convex outward, but the first side surface 12a or the two second side surfaces 12b may be formed in a flat planar shape. Also, the two third side surfaces 12c are flat planes, but the two third side surfaces 12c may be formed in a curved surface shape. That is, in the present invention, the shape of the concave surface 30 is arbitrary. The same applies to the cylindrical members in the second to fourth embodiments.
[0110] In the above-described first embodiment, the concave surface 30 is formed so as to extend from the upper end portion (base end portion) to the lower end portion (tip end portion) of the cylindrical member 12, but it is not limited thereto. In the present invention, the concave surface 30 of the cylindrical member 12 may be formed so as to extend from the tip end side toward the base end side. That is, the concave surface 30 may be formed in a part from the upper end portion (base end portion) to the lower end portion (tip end portion) of the cylindrical member 12. The same applies to the cylindrical members in the second to fourth embodiments.
