[0012] First, an overview of one embodiment will be described. Note that the reference numerals in the drawings are added to each element for convenience as an example to facilitate understanding, and the description of this overview is not intended to be limiting in any way. Furthermore, unless otherwise specified, the blocks shown in each drawing represent functional units, not hardware units. Connection lines between blocks in each drawing include both bidirectional and unidirectional lines. Unidirectional arrows are used to schematically indicate the flow of main signals (data) and do not exclude bidirectionality. Note that in this specification and drawings, elements that can be similarly described may be assigned the same reference numerals to avoid redundant explanation.

[0013] Fig. 1 is a diagram showing an outline of the configuration of a mobile communication terminal 10 disclosed herein. As shown in Fig. 1, the mobile communication terminal 10 disclosed herein includes a reception unit 11 that receives an instruction to display a code via an input / output unit, and a display control unit 12 that displays a hidden code when a trigger indicating that the code is ready to be read is detected.

[0014] Fig. 2 is a flowchart showing an example of the operation of the mobile communication terminal 10. As shown in Fig. 2, the mobile communication terminal 10 receives an instruction to display a code via the input / output unit (step 01). When the mobile communication terminal 10 detects a trigger indicating that the code can be read, it displays the hidden code (step 02).

[0015] The mobile communication terminal 10 does not continuously display a code used for payment or the like, but instead displays an invisible code in response to detecting a trigger indicating that the code is ready to be read. Therefore, there is virtually no time for a third party to secretly photograph the code. Therefore, according to the present disclosure, the secret photographing of the code is effectively prevented.

[0016] A mobile communication terminal, a program for the mobile communication terminal, an operating system program for the mobile communication terminal, and a code display method that effectively prevent unauthorized capture of codes according to one embodiment of the present invention will be described in detail below. [0025] The control unit 101 reads out the OS 103A from the storage unit 103 and executes it in sequence, and also operates each device under the supervision of the OS 103A, and reads out and executes each application in sequence.

[0026] The detection unit 104 includes an attitude detection unit 104A that includes a device such as a gyro sensor that detects the attitude of the mobile communication terminal 10, and an illuminance detection unit 104B that includes a photoelectric element that detects brightness and outputs a signal.

[0027] The communication unit 105 includes a mobile phone line communication unit 105A that communicates via a mobile phone line, a wireless LAN communication unit 105B that communicates via a wireless LAN (local area network), and a short-range communication unit 105C that performs short-range communication using Bluetooth (registered trademark) or the like. The communication unit 105 communicates with a cash register such as a POS register via the short-range communication unit 105C.

[0028] The cash register 20 may be a so-called POS register or a cash register using a so-called tablet terminal. The following description will be given taking the cash register 20 using a tablet terminal as an example.

[0029] The cash register 20 includes a POS control unit 201 , a POS input / output unit 202 , a POS storage unit 203 , a POS communication unit 204 , a code reader 205 , and a hand scanner 206 .

[0034] The POS communication unit 204 includes a short-range communication device that performs short-range communication such as Bluetooth (registered trademark).

[0035] The code reader 205 irradiates the code with a laser beam, reads the code from the reflected light, converts it into an electrical signal, and outputs it.

[0036] The hand scanner 206 is a portable device that irradiates a code with a laser beam, reads the code from the reflected light, converts it into an electrical signal, and outputs it.

[0037] (Mobile communication terminal operation) 4 is a flowchart showing the operation of the mobile communication terminal 10 of this embodiment. As shown in Fig. 4, in step 301, the control unit 101 causes the reception unit 11 to input a code display instruction from the touch panel 102A to the general application 103C.

[0038] In step 302, control unit 101 monitors the screen displayed on touch panel 102A by hiding application 103B. If control unit 101 determines that a code is to be displayed on touch panel 102A, it hides the code.

[0039] The control unit 101 causes the display control unit 12 to hide the code by one of the following methods. (1) Delete the displayed code from the screen. (2) A mask image that makes the code invisible is displayed at the location where the code is displayed.

[0040] In step 303, the control unit 101 determines whether there is a trigger for displaying the code by the hiding application 103B. If the control unit 101 determines that there is a trigger (Y in step 303), the process proceeds to step 304, and if the control unit 101 does not determine that there is a trigger (N in step 303), the process returns to step 303.

[0041] Here, the trigger will be explained. The trigger refers to the state of the mobile communication terminal 10 in which the mobile communication terminal 10 is in a state where a code can be read.

[0042] The trigger may be, for example, any of the following conditions: (1) When the control unit 101 detects, via the orientation detection unit 104A, that the touch panel 102A of the mobile communication terminal 10 faces downward. (2) When control unit 101 detects laser light emitted from code reader 205 or hand scanner 206 using imaging unit 102B, control unit 101 determines whether the laser light is emitted from code reader 205 or hand scanner 206 based on the color and light intensity using imaging unit 102B. (3) When the control unit 101 detects via the illuminance detection unit 104B that the touch panel 102A of the mobile communication terminal 10 has been brought close to the code reader 205 or the hand scanner 206. The control unit 101 determines that the touch panel 102A of the mobile communication terminal 10 has been brought close to the code reader 205 or the hand scanner 206 when the illuminance detected by the illuminance detection unit 104B becomes darker than a threshold value. (4) When the control unit 101 detects that the sound collection unit 102C has generated a predetermined sound, such as a "beep" sound, which is a sound signal indicating that code reading is about to begin, or a sound saying "Starting code reading."

[0043] In step 304, the control unit 101 displays the code. If the code has been deleted, the control unit 101 displays the deleted code, and if a mask image has been displayed, the control unit 101 deletes the mask image from the screen.

[0044] At this time, control unit 101 may vibrate mobile communication terminal 10 using vibration unit 102D or turn on the light of imaging unit 102B. Alternatively, control unit 101 may notify the user that the code has been displayed by generating a sound such as a beep from a speaker provided in mobile communication terminal 10, so that the user can confirm that the code has been displayed without having to check the screen.

[0045] In step 305, the control unit 101 determines whether the trigger has disappeared. If the control unit 101 determines that the trigger has disappeared (Y in step 305), the process proceeds to step 306, and if the control unit 101 does not determine that the trigger has disappeared (N in step 305), the process returns to step 305.

[0046] Here, the trigger being lost refers to a state in which the control unit 101 is no longer able to detect the trigger.

[0047] In step 306, the control unit 101 makes the code invisible again.

[0048] In step 307, the control unit 101 determines whether an end instruction has been input to the general application 103C. If the control unit 101 determines that an end instruction has been input (Y in step 307), it ends the processing of the general application 103C, and if the control unit 101 does not determine that an end instruction has been input (N in step 307), it returns to step 303.

[0049] As described above, the mobile communication terminal 10 of the first embodiment includes a reception unit 11 that receives an instruction to display a code via the input / output unit 102, and a display control unit 12 that displays a hidden code when a trigger indicating that the code is ready to be read is detected.

[0050] Furthermore, the hiding application 103B, which is a program for a mobile communication terminal according to this embodiment, causes the mobile communication terminal 10 to function as a code monitoring unit, a hiding unit, and a display control unit. The code monitoring unit monitors the screen displayed on the touch panel 102A of the input / output unit 102 to detect whether a code is displayed. The hiding unit hides the code when a code is detected. The display control unit displays the hidden code when a trigger indicating that the code is ready to be read is detected.

[0051] Furthermore, in the code display method of this embodiment, the code monitoring unit monitors the screen displayed on the touch panel 102A of the input / output unit 102 to detect whether a code is displayed. If a code is detected, the hiding unit hides the code. If the display control unit detects a trigger indicating that the mobile communication terminal 10 is in a state where a code can be read, the display control unit displays the hidden code.

[0052] As described above, the mobile communication terminal 10 according to the first embodiment does not continue to display a code used for payment or the like, but instead displays a code that was previously hidden in response to detecting a trigger indicating that the code is ready to be read. Therefore, there is virtually no time during which a third party can secretly photograph the code. Therefore, the first embodiment has the effect of providing a mobile communication terminal that effectively prevents the code from being secretly photographed.

[0053] <Second embodiment> (Configuration of mobile communication terminal) The configuration of the mobile communication terminal 10 of the second embodiment is similar to the configuration of the mobile communication terminal 10 of the first embodiment, and therefore, a description thereof will be omitted.

[0054] (Mobile communication terminal operation) 5 is a flowchart showing the operation of the mobile communication terminal 10 of this embodiment. As shown in FIG. 5, in step 401, the control unit 101 inputs a code display instruction to the general application 103C from the touch panel 102A via the reception unit.

[0055] In step 402, control unit 101 monitors the screen displayed on touch panel 102A by hiding application 103B. If control unit 101 determines that a code is to be displayed on touch panel 102A, it hides the code.

[0056] The control unit 101 causes the display control unit 12 to hide the code by one of the following methods. (1) Delete the displayed code from the screen. (2) A mask image that makes the code invisible is displayed at the location where the code is displayed.

[0057] In step 403, if the POS communication unit 204 determines that the mobile communication terminal 10 is within a distance where communication is possible using the short-range communication device, the POS control unit 201 starts communication with the mobile communication terminal 10.

[0058] In step 404 , the control unit 101 starts communication with the cash register 20 in response to a communication request from the cash register 20 .

[0059] In step 405, the POS control unit 201 determines whether a trigger instruction has been issued. If the POS control unit 201 determines that a trigger instruction has been issued (Y in step 405), the process proceeds to step 406, and if the POS control unit 201 does not determine that a trigger instruction has been issued (N in step 405), the process returns to step 405.

[0060] Here, the trigger instruction refers to pressing a code display button 804A (see FIG. 9) displayed on the touch panel of the POS input / output unit 202 to cause the mobile communication terminal 10 to display a code.

[0061] The operator of cash register 20 confirms that the user has set mobile communication terminal 10 to a state in which it can read the code, and then presses code display button 804A. If cash register 20 is provided with a separate user screen, POS control unit 201 can also display a code display button on the user screen. In this case, the user presses the code display button at any time.

[0062] In step 406, the POS control unit 201 transmits a trigger to the mobile communication terminal 10 to cause the mobile communication terminal 10 to display a code.

[0063] In step 407, upon receiving the trigger, the control unit 101 displays the code. If the code has been deleted, the control unit 101 displays the deleted code, and if a mask image has been displayed, the control unit 101 deletes the mask image from the screen.

[0064] In step 408, the POS control unit 201 determines whether a loss instruction has been issued. If the POS control unit 201 determines that a loss instruction has been issued (Y in step 408), the process proceeds to step 409, and if the POS control unit 201 does not determine that a loss instruction has been issued (N in step 408), the process returns to step 408.

[0065] Here, the instruction to erase refers to pressing a code hide button 804B (see FIG. 9) displayed on the touch panel of the POS input / output unit 202, which causes the portable communication terminal 10 to hide the code.

[0066] When the operator of cash register 20 confirms that cash register 20 has completed reading the code, he or she presses code hide button 804B. If cash register 20 is provided with a separate user screen, POS control unit 201 can also display a code hide button on the user screen. In this case, the user presses the code hide button at any time.

[0067] In step 409, the POS control unit 201 transmits a non-display trigger to the mobile communication terminal 10 to cause the mobile communication terminal 10 to not display the code.

[0068] In step 410, upon receiving the hide trigger, the control unit 101 hides the code again.

[0069] In step 411, the control unit 101 terminates communication with the cash register 20.

[0070] In step 412, the POS control unit 201 ends communication with the mobile communication terminal 10.

[0071] As described above, the mobile communication terminal 10 of the second embodiment displays a hidden code in response to a trigger from the cash register 20.

[0072] Furthermore, the hiding application 103B, which is a program for the mobile communication terminal, causes the mobile communication terminal 10 to function as a code monitoring unit, a hiding unit, and a display control unit. The code monitoring unit monitors the screen displayed on the touch panel 102A of the input / output unit 102 to detect whether a code is displayed. The hiding unit hides the code when a code is detected. The display control unit displays the hidden code when a trigger indicating that the code can be read is received from the cash register 20.

[0073] Therefore, according to the second embodiment, it is possible to reliably read the code into the cash register 20, and it is possible to provide a portable communication terminal that effectively prevents the code from being secretly photographed.

[0074] <Third embodiment> (Configuration of mobile communication terminal) The configuration of the mobile communication terminal 10 of the third embodiment is the same as the configuration of the mobile communication terminal 10 of the first embodiment, except that the hiding application 103B of the mobile communication terminal 10 of the first embodiment is incorporated into the OS 103A.

[0075] (Mobile communication terminal operation) The operation of the mobile communication terminal 10 of this embodiment is the same as that of the mobile communication terminal 10 of the first embodiment, except that the operation of the hiding application 103B is performed by the OS 103A.

[0076] OS103A, which is an operating system program for a mobile communication terminal according to this embodiment, causes mobile communication terminal 10 to function as a reception unit, a code monitoring unit, a hiding unit, and a display control unit. The reception unit receives an instruction to display a code from input / output unit 102. The code monitoring unit monitors the screen displayed on touch panel 102A of input / output unit 102 to detect whether a code is displayed. The hiding unit hides the code when a code is detected. The display control unit displays the hidden code when a trigger indicating that the code is ready to be read is detected.

[0077] Therefore, according to the third embodiment, it is possible to provide a mobile communication terminal that effectively prevents the code from being secretly photographed, even if the hide application 103B is not activated.

[0078] <Fourth embodiment> (Configuration of mobile communication terminal) The configuration of the mobile communication terminal 10 of the fourth embodiment is the same as the configuration of the mobile communication terminal 10 of the second embodiment, except that the hiding application 103B of the mobile communication terminal 10 of the second embodiment is incorporated into the OS 103A.

[0079] (Mobile communication terminal operation) The operation of the mobile communication terminal 10 of this embodiment is the same as that of the mobile communication terminal 10 of the second embodiment, except that the operation of the hiding application 103B is performed by the OS 103A.

[0080] OS103A, an operating system program for a mobile communication terminal according to this embodiment, causes the mobile communication terminal 10 to function as a reception unit, a code monitoring unit, a hiding unit, and a display control unit. The reception unit receives a code display instruction from the input / output unit 102. The code monitoring unit monitors the screen displayed on the touch panel 102A of the input / output unit 102 to detect whether a code is displayed. The hiding unit hides the code when a code is detected. The display control unit displays the hidden code when a trigger indicating that the code is ready to be read is received from the cash register 20.

[0081] Therefore, according to this embodiment, it is possible to provide a mobile communication terminal that effectively prevents the code from being secretly photographed, even without starting up the hide application 103B.

[0082] <Fifth embodiment> (Configuration of mobile communication terminal) The configuration of the mobile communication terminal 10 of the fifth embodiment is the same as the configuration of the mobile communication terminal 10 of the first embodiment, except that the hiding application 103B of the mobile communication terminal 10 of the first embodiment is incorporated into the general application 103C.

[0083] (Mobile communication terminal operation) The operation of the mobile communication terminal 10 of this embodiment is the same as that of the mobile communication terminal 10 of the first embodiment, except that the operation of the hide application 103B is performed by the general application 103C.

[0084] General application 103C, which is a program for a mobile communication terminal in this embodiment, causes mobile communication terminal 10 to function as a code monitoring unit, a hiding unit, and a display control unit. The code monitoring unit detects the presence or absence of a code displayed on touch panel 102A of input / output unit 102. The hiding unit hides the code when a code is detected. The display control unit displays the hidden code when a trigger indicating that the code is ready to be read is detected.

[0085] Therefore, according to the fifth embodiment, it is possible to provide a mobile communication terminal that effectively prevents the code from being secretly photographed, even if the hide application 103B is not activated.

[0086] Sixth Embodiment (Configuration of mobile communication terminal) The configuration of the mobile communication terminal 10 of the sixth embodiment is the same as the configuration of the mobile communication terminal 10 of the second embodiment, except that the hiding application 103B of the mobile communication terminal 10 of the second embodiment is incorporated into the general application 103C.

[0087] (Mobile communication terminal operation) The operation of the mobile communication terminal 10 of this embodiment is the same as that of the mobile communication terminal 10 of the second embodiment, except that the operation of the hide application 103B is performed by the general application 103C.

[0088] General application 103C, which is a program for a mobile communication terminal in this embodiment, causes mobile communication terminal 10 to function as a reception unit, a code monitoring unit, a hiding unit, and a display control unit. The reception unit receives a code display instruction from input / output unit 102. The code monitoring unit detects whether or not a code to be displayed on touch panel 102A of input / output unit 102 is present. The hiding unit hides the code when a code is detected. The display control unit displays the hidden code when a trigger indicating that the code is ready to be read is received from cash register 20.

[0089] Therefore, according to the sixth embodiment, it is possible to provide a mobile communication terminal that effectively prevents the code from being secretly photographed, even if the hide application 103B is not activated.

[0090] <Display screen explanation> Fig. 6 is a diagram showing a first example hidden screen 501 displayed on touch panel 102A in the code hidden state in each embodiment. As shown in Fig. 6, the code has been deleted from first example hidden screen 501, and no code is displayed in area 502. Note that control unit 101 may display a frame line or guide indicating the display position of the code on first example hidden screen 501, as shown by the dashed line in Fig. 6.

[0091] To force the code to be displayed, the user operates the mobile communication terminal 10 to set the consent button 503 to "Yes."
