Description

[Technical Field]

[0001] The present invention relates to a body composition monitor having a cover provided on a measurement surface. [Background technology]

[0002] There are an increasing number of opportunities to measure weight and body composition regularly for beauty and health reasons. To enable such measurements to be performed continuously and effortlessly, it is necessary to place a measuring device such as a body composition analyzer within the daily routine of a person, and to measure weight and body composition accurately and without any conscious effort.

[0003] For example, the health equipment set (bath mat type body composition monitor) disclosed in Patent Document 1 is a health equipment (body composition monitor) provided with a bath mat (cover). The health equipment has electrodes on its surface. The bath mat is placed on the surface of the health equipment and has a conductive area. The bath mat is placed on the surface of the health equipment so that the conductive area is in contact with the electrodes.

[0004] With this configuration, the health equipment set disclosed in Patent Document 1 can measure weight and body composition without the user being aware of it when using a bath mat after taking a bath, etc. [Prior art documents] [Patent documents]

[0005] [Patent Document 1] Patent No. 7393078 specification Summary of the Invention [Problem to be solved by the invention]

[0006] However, with such conventional bath mat-type body composition monitors, if the bath mat becomes misaligned, it may become impossible to measure weight or body composition. For example, if the bath mat becomes misaligned, the accuracy of measuring weight may decrease when the bath mat touches the ground (floor, etc.), or the electrodes may lose contact with the conductive areas, making it impossible to measure body composition.

[0007] An object of the present invention is to measure body composition and the like with high accuracy. [Means for solving the problem]

[0008] In order to achieve the above object, a body composition monitor with a cover according to one embodiment of the present invention comprises: Consisting of glass a main body, a body composition measuring unit provided on the main body, electrodes provided on an upper surface of the main body, a cover removably placed on the upper surface of the main body, a through-hole penetrating the cover, and a pressure sensor for detecting pressure; a protruding structure provided on the main body; Below the electrode , the bottom surface is opened As a concave space To the protruding structure The recess formed a holding portion supported by the main body portion inside the recess; and a support portion held by the main body portion via the holding portion, at least a portion of which is provided inside the recess. the cover portion is placed on the upper surface of the main body portion in a manner that the electrodes are inserted into the through holes, the electrodes are exposed from the cover portion, and the electrodes are electrically connected to the body composition measurement portion; and the pressure sensor is provided inside the recess. The support portion supports the pressure sensor from below the pressure sensor and forms the lower end surface of the body composition monitor with cover. .

[0009] With this configuration, the cover is placed on the upper surface of the main body with the projections (electrodes) inserted into the through-holes, and the engagement of the projections with the through-holes prevents the cover from shifting relative to the main body, resulting in a stable positional relationship between the cover and the main body, enabling accurate measurement of body composition. Furthermore, because the electrodes penetrate the through-holes and are exposed from the surface of the cover while preventing the cover from shifting, the body composition of a person in contact with the cover can be measured with high accuracy. For example, when a person stands on the cover of a body composition monitor with a cover, their feet come into contact with the electrodes, allowing for easy and accurate measurement of their body composition.

[0010] At least a part of the protrusion may be an electrode that is electrically connected to the body composition measurement unit and is exposed from the cover unit.

[0011]

[0012] Furthermore, a plurality of the protrusions may be provided, and the number of the through holes may be equal to or greater than the number of the protrusions, and each of the protrusions may be inserted into a corresponding one of the through holes.

[0013] With this configuration, the multiple pairs of protrusions and through-holes more accurately prevent the cover from shifting. Also, when multiple electrodes are exposed, body composition can be measured more accurately.

[0014] The electrodes may protrude from the cover portion.

[0015] With this configuration, the cover part is more accurately prevented from shifting, allowing the human body to easily contact the electrode, resulting in more accurate body composition measurement. Alternatively, the height of the upper surface of the electrode may be lower than the height of the upper surface of the cover part, so that when a person stands on the cover part, the cover part sinks due to the person's weight, so that the upper surface of the electrode and the upper surface of the cover part are flush with each other, or the electrode protrudes from the cover part. In this case, body composition can also be measured more accurately with the person standing on the cover part.

[0016] The cover may be made of an insulating material.

[0017] With this configuration, the electrodes are insulated, allowing for more accurate measurement of body composition.

[0018] The cover may be a water-absorbing mat.

[0019] With this configuration, the body composition monitor with cover functions as an absorbent mat, and can be used as, for example, a bath mat-type body composition monitor. By using the body composition monitor as a bath mat, for example, it is possible to measure body composition accurately without being conscious of it every time you take a bath.

[0020] The body composition measuring unit may further include a pressure sensor, and the body composition measuring unit may calculate the weight based on the detection result of the pressure sensor.

[0021] With this configuration, it is possible to accurately prevent the cover portion from shifting, and to accurately measure body weight while measuring body composition.

[0022] The communication unit is also provided, and At least one of the body composition and the body weight calculated by the body composition measuring unit Measurement results as It may also be possible to transmit it to an external terminal.

[0023] This configuration simplifies the configuration by eliminating the need for a display unit to display the measurement results, such as body composition and weight. Furthermore, the measurement results can be collected and managed collectively in a data collection mechanism, which can be any terminal such as a server or a mobile terminal, making it easy to check changes in the measurement results over time. The communication unit may be provided in place of the display unit, or may be provided together with the display unit.

[0024] The cover may be a resin housing.

[0025] With this configuration, the weight of the body composition monitor with cover can be reduced. [Brief explanation of the drawings]

[Figure 6] 2 is a cross-sectional perspective view taken along line VV in FIG. 1, illustrating an example of an arrangement configuration of piezoelectric devices. DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION

[0027] [Overall structure] First, the configuration of a mat-type body composition monitor will be described as an example of a body composition monitor with a cover using Figure 1. The body composition monitor with a cover is configured so that a cover is placed on the upper surface 2A of a main body 2 that measures body composition 17 (see Figure 4).

[0028] In the following description, the direction indicated by the arrow U in FIG. 1 etc. is the up direction, and the direction indicated by the arrow D is the down direction.

[0029] The mat-type body composition monitor according to this embodiment includes a main body 2 and a mat 4 (corresponding to a cover).

[0030] The main body 2 measures the body composition 17. The mat 4 has any function. For example, the mat 4 may protect the main body 2 or function as a water-absorbing mat. If the mat 4 is a water-absorbing mat, it may function as a bath mat and be made of absorbent fibers, diatomaceous earth, or the like. If the mat 4 does not function as a water-absorbing mat, it may be made of plastic, metal, glass, or the like that protects the main body 2. Furthermore, the mat 4 (cover portion) may be configured to be attached to the main body 2, or may be removably placed on the upper surface 2A of the main body 2.

[0031] The main body 2 has one or more protrusions 6 provided on the upper surface 2A. The mat 4 (cover) has through holes 9 that penetrate the mat 4. The through holes 9 are provided at positions where the protrusions 6 of the main body 2 can be inserted into the through holes 9 when the mat 4 is placed on the upper surface 2A of the main body 2. In other words, the mat 4 (cover) is placed on the upper surface 2A of the main body 2 with the protrusions 6 inserted into the through holes 9.

[0032] In this way, when the mat 4 (cover part) is placed on the upper surface 2A of the main body part 2, the protrusions 6 are inserted into the through-holes 9, and the protrusions 6 are held in the through-holes 9, thereby preventing the mat 4 (cover part) from shifting from the main body part 2. This allows the person to be measured to stand stably on the main body part 2, and allows the body composition 17 to be measured with high accuracy.

[0033] [Mat-type body composition analyzer] Next, the configuration of a mat-type body composition monitor, which is an example of a body composition monitor with a cover, will be described with reference to FIGS.

[0034] The main body 2 is a housing made of a combination of any material, such as glass, resin, or metal, and has built-in functional devices such as a control device. For example, the main body 2 is made of a resin housing partially reinforced with metal, and glass is provided on the top surface (upper surface 2A). The main body 2 may also have legs 3 on the back surface (lower surface) opposite the upper surface 2A. For example, the legs 3 are provided at each of the four corners of the main body 2. The provision of the legs 3 allows the mat-type body composition monitor to be stably placed on the floor, etc. The functional devices built into the main body 2 have a processor, such as a CPU, and operate under the control of the processor.

[0035] The main body 2 has four conductive plates 7 (corresponding to electrodes) provided on the upper surface 2A. The conductive plates 7 are terminals that acquire electrical characteristics such as the current flowing through the person whose body composition 17 (see FIG. 4) is to be measured, and are not limited to plates, and may be any terminal or other electrode. The conductive plates 7 correspond to the protrusions 6 described above. The material of the electrodes (conductive plates 7) may be metal, a conductive coating material, or a composite material containing other conductive materials.

[0036] Specifically, the main body 2 has a rectangular planar shape, and the four conductive plates 7 are provided near each of the four different corners of the main body 2. This allows the mat 4 to be held to the main body 2 (conductive plates 7) at the corners of the mat 4, thereby more accurately preventing the mat 4 from shifting. Furthermore, the four electrodes exposed from the corners of the mat 4 are separated and contact two locations on each of both feet, allowing contact with four different parts of the person to be measured, making it possible to easily and accurately measure body composition 17 (see FIG. 4).

[0037] Furthermore, when at least some of the protrusions 6 are conductive plates 7, the mat 4 (cover portion) is preferably an insulator. By using the mat 4 as an insulator, the conductive plates 7 are electrically isolated, allowing for accurate acquisition of electrical characteristics and accurate measurement of body composition 17.

[0038] When a person stands on the mat 4 of the mat-type body composition monitor, the four conductive plates 7 are the conductive plate 7 that comes into contact with the toe of the left foot, the conductive plate 7 that comes into contact with the heel of the left foot, the conductive plate 7 that comes into contact with the toe of the right foot, and the conductive plate 7 that comes into contact with the heel of the right foot. Note that depending on the measurement method of the body composition monitor, the parts of the human body that come into contact with the conductive plates 7 may be arbitrary, and the mat-type body composition monitor may be configured to measure body composition 17 by any method using three or less or five or more conductive plates 7, rather than being limited to four.

[0039] The through-holes 9 of the mat 4 are provided at positions where at least the conductive plates 7 of the main body 2 are inserted through the through-holes 9 when the mat 4 is placed on the upper surface 2A of the main body 2.

[0040] In this way, when the mat 4 is placed on the upper surface 2A of the main body 2, the conductive plate 7 is inserted into the through-hole 9, and the conductive plate 7 is held in the through-hole 9, thereby preventing the mat 4 from shifting from the main body 2. This prevents the mat 4 from shifting and overlapping with the conductive plate 7, which would prevent the mat 4 from interfering with the person's contact with the conductive plate 7, allowing for accurate measurement of body composition 17.

[0041] The planar shapes of the conductive plate 7 and the through holes 9 may be circular, or may be any other shape such as elliptical or polygonal. By making the planar shapes of the conductive plate 7 and the through holes 9 non-circular, the holding force of the conductive plate 7 (protrusions 6) on the through holes 9 (mat 4) is increased, and it is possible to more accurately prevent the mat 4 from shifting relative to the main body 2. Furthermore, the planar shape of the through holes 9 may be larger than the conductive plate 7, but by making the planar shapes and sizes of the conductive plate 7 and the through holes 9 the same, it is possible to more accurately prevent the mat 4 from shifting relative to the main body 2.

[0042] Furthermore, the mat-type body composition monitor may include protrusions 6 in addition to the conductive plates 7. That is, at least some of the protrusions 6 may be conductive plates 7. The mat 4 includes through holes 9 corresponding to the protrusions 6. When the mat 4 is placed on the upper surface 2A of the main body 2, the protrusions 6 are inserted into the corresponding through holes 9, and the conductive plates 7 are inserted into the corresponding through holes 9. That is, the through holes 9 are provided in a one-to-one correspondence with the conductive plates 7 and the protrusions 6. The mat 4 may also include additional through holes 9 in addition to the through holes 9 provided in a one-to-one correspondence with the conductive plates 7 and the protrusions 6. In this manner, a plurality of protrusions 6 including the conductive plates 7 may be provided, and the number of through holes 9 may be equal to or greater than the number of protrusions 6 (the number of protrusions 6 may be equal to or less than the number of through holes 9), and each protrusion 6 may be inserted into a corresponding one of the through holes 9. This allows the mat 4 to be held on the main body 2 by pairs of protrusions 6 (including the conductive plates 7) and through holes 9, thereby more accurately preventing the mat 4 from shifting relative to the main body 2. Furthermore, any number of conductive plates 7 (protrusions 6) may be provided, but it is preferable to have multiple pairs of conductive plates 7 (protrusions 6) and through holes 9, as this increases the holding power of the mat 4. Furthermore, a configuration in which multiple conductive plates 7 (protrusions 6) are inserted into one through hole 9 may also be used.

[0043] Furthermore, the conductive plate 7 (electrode) only needs to be exposed from the mat 4 via the through-holes 9, and the upper surface of the conductive plate 7 may be flush with or lower than the upper surface of the mat 4 (cover portion), but it is preferable that the conductive plate 7 protrudes above the mat 4 (cover portion) as shown in Figure 3. This allows the conductive plate 7 to easily come into contact with the person, enabling accurate measurement of body composition 17.

[0044] Furthermore, in the case where the mat 4 is configured to sink due to the weight of a person standing on it, the upper surface of the conductive plate 7 may be configured to be flush with or lower than the upper surface of the mat 4 (cover portion), so that when a person stands on the mat 4, the upper surface of the conductive plate 7 is flush with or protrudes from the upper surface of the mat 4 (cover portion). Even with this configuration, the conductive plate 7 and the person can easily come into contact with each other, allowing body composition 17 to be measured with high accuracy.

[0045] [Body composition measurement] Next, with reference to FIGS. 1 and 2, a configuration for measuring body composition 17 in the mat-type body composition analyzer will be described using FIG.

[0046] The conductive plate 7 in the mat-type body composition monitor of this embodiment is exposed from the mat 4 (cover portion). Therefore, a person standing on the mat 4 can contact a part of their body, such as the toes or heels, with the conductive plate 7. This allows the mat-type body composition monitor to acquire the electrical characteristics of the current flowing through the person via the conductive plate 7, and to accurately measure the person's body composition 17.

[0047] The mat-type body composition monitor comprises a main body 2 equipped with a conductive plate 7 (electrode), a body composition measurement unit 11, a memory unit 13, and a communication unit 14, which are arranged in a manner that allows data to be transmitted and received between them. As described above, the conductive plate 7 is arranged on the upper surface 2A of the main body 2 so as to be exposed from the mat 4. The body composition measurement unit 11, the memory unit 13, and the communication unit 14 are functional devices that are built into the housing of the main body 2.

[0048] Body composition measurement section 11 is provided in main body section 2, and conductive plate 7 (electrode) is electrically connected to body composition measurement section 11 and is exposed from mat 4 (cover section).

[0049] When the person to be measured comes into contact with the conductive plates 7, the conductive plates 7 acquire the electrical characteristics (current value, etc.) of the current flowing through the person as a first measurement value 16, which is a detection result, and pass it to the body composition measurement unit 11. For example, four conductive plates 7 may be provided, and the person to be measured may come into contact with different conductive plates 7 at four points on each of the toes and heels of each of their left and right feet, whereby the conductive plates 7 acquire the electrical characteristics (current value, etc.) of the current flowing through the person as the first measurement value 16. The acquired first measurement value 16 is stored in the memory unit 13 and transmitted to the body composition measurement unit 11.

[0050] Body composition measurement unit 11 receives first measurement value 16 measured by conductive plate 7 and calculates body composition 17 based on first measurement value 16, which is the detection result. Body composition measurement unit 11 stores calculated body composition 17 in memory unit 13. Here, body composition 17 is any body composition 17 such as body fat percentage, muscle mass, water content, basal metabolic rate, etc.

[0051] The communication unit 14 transmits and receives data to and from an arbitrary terminal 19 via wired or wireless communication. Wireless communication can be performed using Wi-Fi (registered trademark), Bluetooth (registered trademark), or the like. The communication unit 14 transmits the body composition 17 calculated by the body composition measurement unit 11 and stored in the memory unit 13 to an external terminal 19 as a measurement result. The terminal 19 may be any data collection mechanism (device) capable of information processing, such as a mobile phone or a portable terminal. The terminal 19 accumulates and analyzes the body composition 17 acquired via the communication unit 14 and displays the organized body composition 17. This allows the measured body composition 17 to be easily confirmed and changes in the body composition 17 to be easily analyzed. In particular, in the case of a mat-type body composition monitor, by using the mat-type body composition monitor as a bath mat or the like, the body composition 17 can be measured regularly and frequently as part of daily life, and the efficiently acquired and organized body composition 17 can be easily and conveniently confirmed.

[0052] The main body 2 may further include a pressure sensor 21. The pressure sensor 21 is, for example, a load cell, which detects pressure and acquires an electrical characteristic (such as a voltage value) corresponding to the pressure as a second measurement value 23 (detection result). The second measurement value 23 acquired by the pressure sensor 21 is stored in the memory 13 and transmitted to the body composition measurement unit 11.

[0053] Body composition measurement unit 11 receives second measurement value 23 measured by pressure sensor 21 and calculates weight 25 based on second measurement value 23, which is the detection result. Body composition measurement unit 11 stores calculated weight 25 in memory unit 13. Then, communication unit 14 transmits weight 25 calculated by body composition measurement unit 11 and stored in memory unit 13 to terminal 19 as the measurement result. Terminal 19 accumulates and analyzes weight 25 acquired via communication unit 14 and displays the organized weight 25.

[0054] In this way, by measuring the body weight 25 together with the body composition 17, it is possible to easily manage physical condition, etc. In particular, by managing all of the information together on the terminal 19, it is possible to check the measured body composition 17 and body weight 25 in an organized manner, making it easier to manage physical condition, etc.

[0055] [Arrangement of pressure-sensitive sensors] The pressure-sensitive sensors 21 may be placed in any number at any position as long as they can measure body weight 25, but as described above, in the case where the conductive plates 7 are in contact with the human body, it is preferable that the pressure-sensitive sensors 21 be placed below each conductive plate 7.

[0056] 5, the main body 2 has a conductive plate 7 on its upper surface 2A that is exposed from a through-hole 9 in the mat 4. At least the area of the main body 2 near the upper surface 2A is preferably made of glass having a predetermined hardness or higher in order to accurately measure body composition 17 and body weight 25.

[0057] The pressure-sensitive sensor 21 is provided below the conductive plate 7 of the main body 2. Specifically, the pressure-sensitive sensor 21 is disposed below the conductive plate 7 so as to be sandwiched between the glass portion of the main body 2 and the support portion 27. In other words, the pressure-sensitive sensor 21 is provided in contact with the underside of the glass portion of the main body 2 and is held by the support portion 27. The support portion 27 may be configured to come into contact with the floor when the mat-type body composition monitor is placed on the floor, or may be configured to be held in a lower region of the main body 2. By being held by the support portion 27, the pressure-sensitive sensor 21 is held stably and can accurately measure the weight 25.

[0058] The pressure sensor 21 may also be configured to be provided in the internal region of the main body 2, as shown in FIG.

[0059] Specifically, as shown in Fig. 6, main body 2 includes a strong base plate 28. Strong base plate 28 is a plate strong enough to support a mat-type body composition monitor (body composition monitor with cover) in a planar manner, and is made of glass, metal, or a clad material made of resin reinforced with metal.

[0060] The main body 2 has a recess 2B formed by hollowing out a portion of the main body 2. When the main body 2 is made of glass, the main body 2 has a protruding structure 29, and the recess 2B is provided in the protruding structure 29. When the protruding structure 29 is provided, a portion of the protruding structure 29 protrudes into the recess 2B.

[0061] The pressure sensor 21 is provided inside the recess 2B of the main body 2, in contact with the lower surface of the protruding portion of the protruding structure 29. However, if the protruding structure 29 is not provided, the pressure sensor 21 is provided along the lower surface of the reinforcement base plate 28 inside the recess 2B of the main body 2. The conductive plate 7 may be provided in any region, but may also be provided in the upper region of the protruding structure 29.

[0062] The pressure sensor 21 is held by a support portion 27. The support portion 27 supports the underside of the pressure sensor 21 from below. The support portion 27 has the strength necessary to hold the pressure sensor 21. The size of the support portion 27 can be any size as long as it can hold the pressure sensor 21, but it is preferable that the support portion 27 is large enough to include the entire pressure sensor 21 in a plan view, and if a protruding structure 29 is provided, it is more preferable that the support portion 27 is large enough to include the entire protruding structure 29, and it may also be large enough to include the entire recess 2B. In other words, the support portion 27 can be sized to efficiently support the pressure sensor 21 depending on the configuration.

[0063] Support portion 27 may be configured to come into contact with the floor surface during use, or may be configured to be held by main body portion 2 via holding portion 27A. Holding portion 27A holds support portion 27 while being supported by protruding structure portion 29 or strength base plate 28.

[0064] In this way, by providing recess 2B in main body 2 and providing pressure sensor 21 inside recess 2B, the thickness of the mat-type body composition monitor (body composition monitor with cover) can be reduced. For example, it is easy to reduce the thickness of the mat-type body composition monitor (body composition monitor with cover) to 20 mm or less, which is the standard value for steps in barrier-free standards.

[0065] In addition, in a mat-type body composition monitor, all of the pressure-sensitive sensors 21 may be arranged in the configuration shown in Figure 5 or Figure 6, but in one mat-type body composition monitor, some of the pressure-sensitive sensors 21 may be arranged in the configuration shown in Figure 5, and some other pressure-sensitive sensors 21 may be arranged in the configuration shown in Figure 6.

[0066] [Another embodiment] (1) In the above embodiment, the planar shape of the main body 2 is not limited to a rectangle and can be any shape. Furthermore, the conductive plates 7 (electrodes) may be provided at any position where body composition 17 can be measured, not limited to different corners (four corners) of the main body 2. This allows the conductive plates 7 to be provided at efficient positions according to the measurement configuration and expected measurement conditions, etc., and allows accurate measurement of body composition 17. Note that a "rectangle" refers to a figure consisting of four sides and four vertices, but not all corners necessarily need to be acute angles or right angles. It also includes so-called rounded corner shapes, in which some or all corners have a radius of curvature (R).

[0067] (2) In each of the above embodiments, the main body 2 may be provided with a display unit that displays the measurement results instead of the communication unit 14, or together with the communication unit 14. This allows the measurement results to be easily checked each time a measurement is performed.

[0068] (3) In each of the above embodiments, in the body composition monitor with a cover, if the protrusions 6 do not include conductive plates 7 (electrodes), the cover does not need to be an insulator and may be any cover.

[0069] (4) In each of the above embodiments, the concept of a body composition monitor includes a weight scale. That is, the body composition monitor may measure body weight 25 along with body composition 17, or may measure only body weight 25. Furthermore, weight 25 may be measured using an analog method or a digital signal method. When the covered body composition monitor measures only body weight 25, protrusion 6 does not need to be an electrode such as conductive plate 7, and protrusion 6 is configured to be inserted into through-hole 9 of mat 4. [Industrial Applicability]

[0070] The present invention can be applied to a body composition monitor that includes a cover portion. [Explanation of symbols]
