Abstract
To provide a technique which involves a plurality of discharge destinations, enabling an enclosure and an envelope in a normal conveyance state to be discharged to a suitable discharge destination when conveyance failure of another enclosure and envelope has occurred.SOLUTION: An envelope processing device comprises: an enclosing part for inserting an enclosure into an envelope; first conveyance means for conveying the enclosure to an enclosing position; second conveyance means for conveying the envelope to the enclosing position via an envelope conveying passage extending substantially perpendicularly and in vertical direction and then conveying to first discharge means for discharging the envelope after enclosing; second discharge means capable of discharging the enclosure separately from the first discharge means; and control means for controlling conveyance operation in the first conveyance means and the second conveyance means.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
