To provide a coating material capable of forming a coating layer that delivers sufficient stain resistance and also exhibits superior followability to the substrate.SOLUTION: A coating material comprises a base agent and a curing agent. The base agent comprises a hydroxy group-containing resin (A) with a hydroxyl value of 30 mgKOH / g or more. The curing agent comprises a polyisocyanate compound (B) and a silicate compound (C). The hydroxy group-containing resin (A) comprises a hydroxy group-containing resin (a1) with a weight average molecular weight of 10,000 or more and 500,000 or less and a hydroxy group-containing resin (a2) with a weight average molecular weight of 10,000 or more and 100,000 or less, which is less than the weight average molecular weight of the hydroxy group-containing resin (a1).
