To provide a power storage element of improved safety with a simple configuration.SOLUTION: A power storage element 10 includes an electrode body 600, a container 100, a collector 500 electrically connected to the electrode body 600, a first insulating member 400 disposed between the collector 500 and a lid plate 120 of the container 100, and a second insulating member 700 housed in the container 100, the second insulating member being separate from the first insulating member 400. The electrode body 600 has an electrode body 601, and a tab portion 602 projecting from an end portion of the electrode body 601 in a Z-axis direction and joined to the collector 500 disposed in the Z-axis direction of the electrode body 600. The second insulating member 700 has a first insertion portion 701 and an insulating wall portion 710. The first insertion portion 701 is inserted between the collector 500 and the lid plate 120, and disposed to overlap the peripheral part 402 of the first insulating member 400 in the Z-axis direction.
