AI Technical Summary

Technical Problem

Conventional vibration control devices using an inertial mass are expensive due to the use of a ball screw, leading to high manufacturing costs.

Method used

A vibration control device employing a weight positioned between a floor and a support, a rotatable gear, and a lever unit that utilizes the principle of leverage to generate rotational inertia mass, eliminating the need for a ball screw and reducing manufacturing costs.

Benefits of technology

The device generates rotational inertia mass efficiently with a small weight, allowing for miniaturization and cost reduction while effectively damping vibrations.

Abstract

To provide a technology capable of suppressing manufacturing cost.SOLUTION: When a floor part 11 vibrates, a support body 50 also vibrates through a spring 80. When the support body 50 moves upward, the spring 80 shrinks, a second column member 43 is pushed upward, a first column member 41 is brought into a shape like pushing the left end part of a vibration transmission member 45 downward. Thereby, a tooth row part 49 is lifted to rotate a gear 30 and turn a weight 20 clockwise. Meanwhile, when the support body 50 moves downward, the spring 80 expands, the second column member 43 is pulled downward, and the second column member 43 is lowered downward with the position of the first column member 41 being kept as it is, so that the left end part of the vibration transmission member 45 is lifted. Thereby, the tooth row part 49 is lowered to rotate the gear 30 and turn the weight 20 anti-clockwise. Since a rotary inertia mass is generated by rotating the weight 20, a large rotary inertia mass can be generated even with a small weight 20, thereby achieving reduction in size and weight while suppressing manufacturing cost of a vibration control device 10.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
