Abstract
This mobile apparatus comprises: an irradiation unit which irradiates light; a spectroscope which divides input light and outputs measurement values; a specification unit which specifies the type of food corresponding to light input to the spectroscope; and a determination unit which outputs information about the characteristics of the food with reference to a storage unit that stores information about the food type and the food characteristics in association with information about the light on the basis of the measurement value output from the spectroscope and the food type specified by the specification unit. The mobile apparatus may be a general-purpose information communication terminal that exhibits functions according to installed applications.
