AI Technical Summary

Technical Problem

Existing cameras for observing high-temperature or dusty environments, such as incinerators and combustion furnaces, face challenges in adjusting the shooting range without changing the camera's orientation due to narrow instrumentation seats and inadequate protection from heat and dust.

Method used

A camera design with a cylindrical casing containing a movable image sensor and a gas supply mechanism, allowing fine adjustment of the shooting range by moving the sensor perpendicular to the optical axis within a narrow opening, while protecting the camera components from heat and dust using a continuous gas supply.

Benefits of technology

Enables precise adjustment of the shooting range without altering the camera's orientation and safeguards the camera from heat and dust, ensuring clear imaging in harsh environments.

Abstract

To provide a camera which can be protected from heat and dust, and enables the photographic range thereof to be finely adjusted without requiring change of the direction of the camera.SOLUTION: The camera comprises: a camera casing 5 which has a cylindrical portion 5b extending in a center axis direction; an imaging lens 1 which is secured at a prescribed position near the distal end of the cylindrical portion 5b of the camera casing 5; an imaging device 2 which captures the image formed by the imaging lens 1; a movement mechanism M which is fitted to the camera casing 5, and which is constituted in such a manner that the mechanism M can move the imaging device 2 in a first direction perpendicular to the optical axis direction of the imaging lens 1; and a gas supply device 15 which continuously supplies gas from the proximal end side of the cylindrical portion 5b of the camera casing 5 to the inside of the cylindrical portion 5b.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
