Abstract

When switching image adjustment environments (modes), the system aims to provide users with a more accurate understanding of the image processing currently being applied to the image. [Solution] The image processing apparatus includes a mode setting means for setting an adjustment mode to one of a plurality of image adjustment modes, an image processing means for applying image processing to an image based on the adjustment mode, and a display control means for displaying history information of the image processing applied to the image on a display means. When the adjustment mode is switched, the image processing means changes at least one of the adjustment parameters of the image processing applied to the image. When the adjustment mode is switched, the display control means displays the information of the image processing whose adjustment parameters have been changed due to the adjustment mode switch in the history information in a manner that distinguishes it from the information of the image processing whose adjustment parameters have not been changed due to the adjustment mode switch.
