AI Technical Summary
Existing electrical component units in refrigeration cycle devices face challenges in distributing stress evenly during elastic deformation of engaging portions, leading to potential damage and increased size due to protrusion issues.
The electrical unit incorporates a design with a through hole and an engaging portion that includes a base, an arm extending in a direction intersecting the hole, and a claw, allowing elastic deformation while dispersing stress through curved portions, preventing concentration and size increase.
This design effectively suppresses stress concentration and prevents damage to the engaging portion, maintaining a compact size and ensuring stable fixation within the electrical component unit.
Abstract
Description
Electrical units, outdoor units, and refrigeration cycle devices
[0001] The present disclosure relates to an electrical unit, an outdoor unit, and a refrigeration cycle device.
[0002] For example, as disclosed in Patent Document 1, an air conditioner (refrigeration cycle apparatus) including an electrical component unit (electrical component unit) is known.
[0003] Japanese Patent Application Publication No. 10-220824
[0004] In the electrical equipment unit described above, an engaging portion that can be engaged by utilizing elastic deformation may be provided to fix or temporarily fix a fixed member to a fixed wall portion of, for example, an electrical equipment box. When such an engaging portion is passed through a through hole formed in the fixed wall portion, it elastically deforms and becomes able to engage with the peripheral portion of the through hole in the fixed wall portion. In such an engaging portion, the engaging portion may be elongated in the direction of penetration of the through hole to facilitate elastic deformation. However, in this case, the engaging portion may easily protrude from the through hole, which may cause problems such as an increase in the overall size of the electrical equipment unit.
[0005] To address this issue, it is conceivable to prevent the engaging portion from protruding from the through hole by extending the engaging portion in a direction intersecting the penetration direction of the through hole. However, in this case, it may be difficult to sufficiently disperse the stress generated in the engaging portion when the engaging portion elastically deforms, and stress may concentrate at the base of the engaging portion, making the engaging portion prone to breakage.
[0006] In view of the above circumstances, one of the objects of the present disclosure is to provide an electrical unit having a structure that can suppress the concentration of stress on the engaging portion when the engaging portion elastically deforms, an outdoor unit equipped with such an electrical unit, and a refrigeration cycle device equipped with such an outdoor unit.

[0009] One aspect of the outdoor unit according to the present disclosure is an outdoor unit for a refrigeration cycle device, and includes the above-described electric unit and a housing that houses the electric unit therein.
[0010] One aspect of a refrigeration cycle apparatus according to the present disclosure includes the outdoor unit and an indoor unit described above.
[0011] According to the present disclosure, in an electric component unit of a refrigeration cycle device, it is possible to suppress stress concentration on an engaging portion when the engaging portion elastically deforms.

In this embodiment, the arm 42 is disposed on the other side (-D1 side) of the frame-shaped wall 33b in the first direction with a gap therebetween. As shown by the dashed-dotted line in FIG. 12 , the arm 42 is elastically deformable in the left-right direction Y with the base 41 as a fulcrum. The dashed-dotted line in FIG. 12 shows a state in which the arm 42 is elastically deformed inward of the frame-shaped wall 33b in the left-right direction Y, i.e., to the right side (-Y side), with the base 41 as a fulcrum. The elastic deformation of the arm 42 causes the claw 43 to elastically displace in the left-right direction Y.
[0051] As shown in FIG. 11 , the portion of the frame-shaped wall 33b facing the arm 42 in the first direction D1 forms a low wall 33j, which protrudes lower from the main body wall 33a than the other portions of the frame-shaped wall 33b. The low wall 33j facing the arm 42 of the engagement portion 40a is formed at the end of the extension wall 33g on the other side in the second direction (−D2 side). A step 33k is formed between the edge of the low wall 33j on the other side in the first direction (−D1 side) and the edge of the extension wall 33g on the other side in the first direction (+D2 side) of the portion of the extension wall 33g located on the one side in the second direction (+D2 side) of the low wall 33j. The step 33k is a step that is recessed toward the one side in the first direction when moving from the one side in the second direction to the other side in the second direction. The step 33k is located closer to the one side in the second direction than the end of the arm 42 on the one side in the second direction.
[0052] As shown in Figures 10 and 12, the claw portion 43 protrudes in the left-right direction Y from the tip of the arm portion 42. In this embodiment, the left-right direction Y corresponds to the "third direction" in which the claw portion 43 protrudes relative to the arm portion 42. In this embodiment, the claw portion 43 protrudes in the left-right direction Y toward the outside of the frame-shaped wall portion 33b. The claw portion 43 of the engagement portion 40a protrudes to the left (+Y side) from the end of the arm portion 42 on one side in the second direction (+D2 side). The claw portion 43 is located outside the frame-shaped wall portion 33b when viewed in the first direction D1.
[0053] As shown in FIG. 10 , the claw portion 43 has a first beam portion 43a and a pair of second beam portions 43b. The first beam portion 43a is provided on an edge portion on one side in the first direction (+D1 side) of the end portion of the arm portion 42 on one side in the second direction (+D2 side). The first beam portion 43a extends in the second direction D2. The pair of second beam portions 43b extend from each of both ends of the first beam portion 43a in the second direction D2 to the other side in the first direction (-D1 side). The pair of second beam portions 43b are arranged opposite each other with a gap in the second direction D2. As shown in FIG. 13 , the dimension of the second beam portions 43b in the left-right direction Y increases toward one side in the first direction. The left edge (+Y side) of the second beam portion 43b extends obliquely toward the outside (+Y side) of the frame-shaped wall portion 33b in the left-right direction Y as it extends toward one side in the first direction.
[0054] The claw portion 43 has an opposing surface 43c that faces the periphery of the through hole 36 in the fixed wall portion 31c in the first direction D1. In this embodiment, the opposing surface 43c is a surface on one side in the first direction (+D1 side) of the first beam portion 43a. The opposing surface 43c faces the periphery of the through hole 36 in the engagement surface 31e, which is a surface on the other side in the first direction (-D1 side) of the fixed wall portion 31c. The opposing surface 43c is positioned away from the periphery of the through hole 36 in the engagement surface 31e on the other side in the first direction. The opposing surface 43c is a flat surface that is perpendicular to the first direction D1. As shown in FIG. 11 , the opposing surface 43c is located on the other side in the first direction of the end of the frame-shaped wall portion 33b on the other side in the first direction.
[0055] The engaging portion 40a is formed with a curved portion 45. When viewed in the left-right direction Y, the curved portion 45 extends continuously in a curved shape from the end of the base 41 on the side connected to the main body portion 33p (+D1 side) to at least a part of the edge of the arm portion 42 on the side facing the main body portion 33p (+D1 side). In this embodiment, the curved portion 45 is formed across the edge of the first pillar portion 41a of the base 41 on one side in the second direction (+D2 side) and a part of the edge of the arm main body portion 42a of the arm portion 42 on one side in the first direction (+D1 side).
[0056] In this embodiment, the curved portion 45 extends in a generally elliptical arc shape that is concave toward the other side in the first direction (-D1 side) when viewed in the left-right direction Y. The curved portion 45 has a first curved portion 45a and a second curved portion 45b. The first curved portion 45a is a portion of the curved portion 45 formed on the base 41. When viewed in the left-right direction Y, the first curved portion 45a is curved in a direction opposite to the direction in which the arm portion 42 protrudes relative to the base 41 (-D2 direction). The first curved portion 45a is smoothly connected to the main body portion 33p. More specifically, the end of the first curved portion 45a on one side in the first direction (+D1 side) is smoothly connected to the end of the edge of the bottom wall portion 33j on the other side in the first direction on the other side in the second direction (-D2 side).
[0057] The second curved portion 45b is a portion of the curved portion 45 formed on the arm portion 42. When viewed in the left-right direction Y, the second curved portion 45b is curved in a direction away from the main body portion 33p in the first direction D1 (toward -D1). The end of the second curved portion 45b on the other side in the second direction (-D2 side) smoothly connects to the end of the first curved portion 45a on the other side in the first direction (-D1 side). The dimension in the first direction D1 of the portion of the arm portion 42 where the second curved portion 45b is formed is smaller than the dimension in the first direction D1 of the portion of the arm portion 42 located on one side in the second direction (+D2 side) of the second curved portion 45b.
[0058] At least a portion of the second curved portion 45b is formed on the arm main body portion 42a. The end of the second curved portion 45b on one side in the second direction (+D2 side) is located closer to the other side in the second direction than the claw portion 43. That is, in this embodiment, the entire second curved portion 45b is formed on the arm main body portion 42a. The second curved portion 45b is formed on the edge portion on one side in the first direction (+D1 side) of the arm main body portion 42a. The dimension of the second curved portion 45b in the second direction D2 is more than half the dimension of the arm main body portion 42a in the second direction D2. In this embodiment, the second curved portion 45b is formed on the entire edge portion on one side in the first direction of the arm main body portion 42a, excluding the end portion on one side in the second direction.
[0059] As shown in FIG. 8 , the heat sink 34 is fixed to the electrical component holding member 33. In this embodiment, the heat sink 34 is fixed to the main body wall portion 33a of the main body portion 33p. The heat sink 34 is made of metal. As shown in FIG. 5 , the heat sink 34 has a base portion 34a, multiple fin portions 34b, and a pair of flange portions 34c. The base portion 34a is approximately rectangular parallelepiped-shaped and is long in the second direction D2 and thin in the first direction D1. The base portion 34a is inserted into a hole 33d formed in the electrical component holding member 33 from the other side in the first direction (−D1 side). The surface of the base portion 34a on one side in the first direction (+D1 side) is thermally connected to the surface of the substrate 32a on the other side in the first direction, either directly or indirectly via a thermally conductive member. As a result, the heat sink 34 is thermally connected to the electrical component 32.
[0060] In the present disclosure, "a certain object is thermally connected to another object" means that the certain object and the other object are connected directly or indirectly via yet another object, and heat can be transferred between the certain object and the other object. In other words, "the heat sink 34 is thermally connected to the electrical device 32" means that the heat sink 34 is connected directly or indirectly to the electrical device 32, and heat can be transferred between the heat sink 34 and the electrical device 32. In this embodiment, heat generated in the electrical device 32 is transferred to the heat sink 34.
[0061] The multiple fin portions 34b protrude from the base portion 34a toward the other side in the first direction (-D1 side). In the present embodiment, the fin portion 34b has a rectangular plate shape with a plate surface facing the left-right direction Y and extending in the second direction D2. The multiple fin portions 34b are arranged side by side with gaps in the left-right direction Y. As shown in FIG. 6, the multiple fin portions 34b protrude to the outside of the electrical component box 31 through through holes 36 formed in the fixed wall portion 31c. As a result, in the present embodiment, a portion of the heat sink 34 passes from the inside of the electrical component box 31 through the through hole 36 in the first direction D1 and protrudes to the outside of the electrical component box 31. The multiple fin portions 34b protrude from the through hole 36 to the other side in the first direction (-D1 side). Heat transferred from the electrical component 32 to the heat sink 34 is released from the multiple fin portions 34b to the air outside the electrical component unit 30.
[0062] The pair of flange portions 34c protrude in the left-right direction Y from both edges of the base portion 34a in the left-right direction Y. The flange portions 34c are rectangular plates with their plate surfaces facing the first direction D1 and extending in the second direction D2. The pair of flange portions 34c are fixed to a pair of mounting portions 33e formed on the main body wall portion 33a with fastening members such as bolts. This fixes the heat sink 34 to the main body portion 33p. Note that the fastening members that fix the pair of flange portions 34c to the pair of mounting portions 33e may be screw members such as tapping screws. As shown in FIG. 13 , the flange portions 34c are located inside the frame-shaped wall portion 33b. The flange portions 34c are arranged opposite the frame-shaped wall portion 33b with a gap in the left-right direction Y.
[0063] As shown in Fig. 4, the cover member 35 is a member that covers at least a portion of the heat sink 34 from the outside of the electrical component box 31. More specifically, the cover member 35 covers a plurality of fin portions 34b of the heat sink 34 from the other side in the first direction (-D1 side). The cover member 35 is an insulating member. In this embodiment, the cover member 35 is made of resin. The cover member 35 has a first covering portion 35a, a frame-shaped flange portion 35b, a second covering portion 35c, and a third covering portion 35d.
[0064] The first covering portion 35a covers the multiple fin portions 34b from the other side in the first direction (-D1 side). The first covering portion 35a has a bottom plate portion 35e and a pair of side plate portions 35f. The bottom plate portion 35e is a rectangular plate with its plate surface facing the first direction D1. The bottom plate portion 35e is located on the other side in the first direction of the multiple fin portions 34b. The bottom plate portion 35e covers the multiple fin portions 34b from the other side in the first direction. The pair of side plate portions 35f protrude from both edges of the bottom plate portion 35e in the left-right direction Y to one side in the first direction (+D1 side). The side plate portions 35f are approximately rectangular plate-shaped with their plate surfaces facing the left-right direction Y and extending in the second direction D2.
[0065] The first covering portion 35a has openings on both sides in the second direction D2. The multiple fin portions 34b are exposed to the outside of the electrical unit 30 through the openings in the second direction D2 of the first covering portion 35a. The first covering portion 35a and the base portion 34a of the heat sink 34 form an air passage that houses the multiple fin portions 34b and extends in the second direction D2, along which the fin portions 34b extend. A portion of the air flow generated in the housing 11 by the blower 15 passes through the air passage, thereby allowing air to flow favorably between the multiple fin portions 34b. This makes it easier for the multiple fin portions 34b to release heat into the air.
[0066] The second covering portions 35c are provided on the edge portions of the pair of side plate portions 35f on one side in the first direction (+D1 side). The pair of second covering portions 35c cover the portions of the frame-shaped wall portion 33b located on both sides in the left-right direction Y from the other side in the first direction (-D1 side). The pair of second covering portions 35c extend in the second direction D2.
[0067] The third covering portions 35d are formed on both ends of the pair of second covering portions 35c in the second direction D2. That is, a total of four third covering portions 35d are formed. The third covering portions 35d are generally rectangular box-shaped and open on one side in the first direction (the +D1 side). As shown in FIG. 13 , each third covering portion 35d houses a corresponding engaging portion 40 therein and covers the corresponding engaging portion 40 from the other side in the first direction (the -D1 side).
[0068] As shown in FIG. 4 , the frame-shaped flange portion 35b has a rectangular frame shape with a pair of sides extending in the left-right direction Y and a pair of sides extending in the second direction D2. The frame-shaped flange portion 35b is plate-shaped with its plate surface facing the first direction D1. A second covering portion 35c and a pair of third covering portions 35d are connected to both edges of the inner edge of the frame-shaped flange portion 35b in the left-right direction Y. The frame-shaped flange portion 35b contacts an engagement surface 31e, which is the surface of the fixed wall portion 31c on the other side in the first direction (-D1 side).
[0069] As shown in FIG. 5 , the frame-shaped flange portion 35b is formed with a plurality of fixing holes 35g penetrating the frame-shaped flange portion 35b in the first direction D1. The fixing holes 35g are formed at positions that overlap with the fixing holes 31d formed in the fixed wall portion 31c when viewed in the first direction D1. The frame-shaped flange portion 35b is fixed to the fixed wall portion 31c by a plurality of fastening members 37. For example, eight fastening members 37 are provided. In this embodiment, the fastening members 37 are tapping screws. Note that the fastening members 37 may be threaded members other than tapping screws or may be bolts.
[0070] 13 , each fastening member 37 is passed through each fixing hole 35g formed in the frame-shaped flange portion 35b and each fixing hole 31d formed in the fixed wall portion 31c from the other side in the first direction (−D1 side), and is then screwed into each screw hole 33m formed in the main body wall portion 33a. As a result, the fixed wall portion 31c and the cover member 35 are fastened together to the electrical component holding member 33. In other words, in this embodiment, the cover member 35 is fixed to the fixed wall portion 31c together with the electrical component holding member 33 by the fastening member 37 that passes through the fixed wall portion 31c and is screwed into the main body portion 33p.
[0071] Next, the assembly procedure for the electric component unit 30 will be described. Fig. 14A is a cross-sectional view showing a part of the assembly procedure for the electric component unit 30. Fig. 14B is a cross-sectional view showing another part of the assembly procedure for the electric component unit 30. Fig. 14C is a cross-sectional view showing still another part of the assembly procedure for the electric component unit 30. Figs. 14A, 14B, and 14C show, for example, a case where work is performed in an orientation in which the fixed wall portion 31c is positioned above the electric component holding member 33 in the vertical direction Z.
[0072] An operator assembling the electric component unit 30 fixes the electric components 32 and the heat sink 34 to the electric component holding member 33. Next, the operator inserts the electric component holding member 33, to which the electric components 32 and the heat sink 34 are fixed, into the electric component box main body 31a before the cover member 31b is fixed, and passes the heat sink 34 through the through hole 36. At this time, each engaging portion 40 is also passed through the through hole 36.
[0073] As shown in FIGS. 14A and 14B , when the electrical device holding member 33 is brought closer to the through hole 36, the inner edge of the through hole 36 contacts the second beam portion 43 b of the claw portion 43 of the engaging portion 40. The second beam portion 43 b extends at an angle toward the outside (+Y side) of the frame-shaped wall portion 33 b in the left-right direction Y as it moves toward one side in the first direction (+D1 side). Therefore, when the second beam portion 43 b is pushed toward one side in the first direction by the inner edge of the through hole 36, the claw portion 43 receives a force directed toward the inside (−Y side) of the frame-shaped wall portion 33 b in the left-right direction Y. This causes the arm portion 42 to elastically deform in the left-right direction Y, and the claw portion 43 to elastically displace in the left-right direction Y. Therefore, by bringing the electrical device holding member 33 closer to the fixed wall portion 31 c, the claw portion 43 can be elastically displaced to the inside of the through hole 36, allowing the claw portion 43 to pass through the through hole 36. This allows the engagement portion 40 to pass through the through hole 36 .
[0074] When the entire claw portion 43 is passed through the through hole 36, the claw portion 43 is no longer in contact with the inner edge of the through hole 36, and as shown in Fig. 14C, the arm portion 42 undergoes restoration deformation, and the claw portion 43 also undergoes restoration displacement. As a result, the claw portion 43 faces the peripheral portion of the through hole 36 of the engagement surface 31e in the first direction D1. Therefore, the claw portion 43 engages with the peripheral portion of the through hole 36 in the first direction D1, and the engagement portion 40 is prevented from coming out of the through hole 36. As a result, the electrical component holding member 33 is temporarily fixed to the electrical component box 31.
[0075] 14A and 14B show an example in which electrical component holding member 33 is positioned below fixed wall portion 31c, and electrical component holding member 33 is moved closer to fixed wall portion 31c to pass engaging portion 40 through through hole 36, but this is not limiting. Alternatively, electrical component holding member 33 may be moved closer to fixed wall portion 31c to pass engaging portion 40 through through hole 36 in a state in which electrical component holding member 33 is positioned above fixed wall portion 31c, i.e., in a state in which Figures 14A and 14B are inverted upside down.
[0076] The operator fixes the cover member 35 to the fixed wall portion 31c with the electrical component holding member 33 temporarily fixed to the electrical component box 31 by the engaging portions 40. At this time, the orientation of each component is such that the electrical component holding member 33 is positioned below the fixed wall portion 31c in the vertical direction Z, as shown in FIG. 14C . In this state, the opposing surface 43c of the engaging portion 40 is in contact with the engaging surface 31e, and the electrical component holding member 33 is supported on the fixed wall portion 31c by the four engaging portions 40. In this state, the main body wall portion 33a of the electrical component holding member 33 is positioned downward and spaced apart from the fixed wall portion 31c. In this state, the frame-shaped wall portion 33b is positioned below and spaced apart from the through-hole 36.
[0077] The worker places the cover member 35 on the fixed wall portion 31c from above in the vertical direction Z, covering the heat sink 34 with the cover member 35. In this state, the worker passes the fastening members 37 from above through the fixing holes 35g of the cover member 35 and the fixing holes 31d of the fixed wall portion 31c, and tightens them into the screw holes 33m of the electrical component holding member 33. As the fastening members 37 are tightened into the screw holes 33m, the main body wall portion 33a of the electrical component holding member 33 approaches the fixed wall portion 31c. When each fastening member 37 is fully tightened into each screw hole 33m, the main body wall portion 33a comes into contact with the fixed wall portion 31c, as shown in FIG. 13 , and the electrical component holding member 33 and the cover member 35 are fixed to the electrical component box 31. After fixing the electrical component holding member 33 and the cover member 35 to the electrical component box 31, the worker attaches the lid member 31b to the electrical component box main body 31a. In this way, the electrical component unit 30 is assembled.
[0078] According to the present embodiment, the electrical unit 30 includes a fixed wall portion 31c having a through hole 36 formed therein and penetrating in a first direction D1, and an electrical component holding member 33 fixed to the fixed wall portion 31c as a fixed member. The electrical component holding member 33 includes a main body portion 33p and an engaging portion 40 that protrudes from the main body portion 33p in the first direction D1 and is passed through the through hole 36. The engaging portion 40 includes a base portion 41 that protrudes from the main body portion 33p in the first direction D1, an arm portion 42 that extends from the base portion 41 in a second direction D2 intersecting the first direction D1 and faces the main body portion 33p in the first direction D1, and a claw portion 43 that protrudes from a tip end of the arm portion 42 in a left-right direction Y that serves as a third direction intersecting both the first direction D1 and the second direction D2. The claw portion 43 has an opposing surface 43c that faces the periphery of the through hole 36 in the first direction D1 in the fixed wall portion 31c. The arm portion 42 is elastically deformable in the left-right direction Y with the base portion 41 as a fulcrum. Therefore, as described above, when the engaging portion 40 is inserted into the through hole 36, the arm portion 42 can be elastically deformed in the left-right direction Y, allowing the engaging portion 40 to pass through the through hole 36. After the engaging portion 40 is passed through the through hole 36, the arm portion 42 undergoes restoration deformation, allowing the opposing surface 43c of the claw portion 43 to engage with the fixed wall portion 31c. Therefore, the snap-fit structure between the engaging portion 40 and the through hole 36 allows the electrical device holding member 33 to be fixed or temporarily fixed to the fixed wall portion 31c. In the present embodiment, as described above, the snap-fit structure between the engaging portion 40 and the through hole 36 allows the electrical device holding member 33 to be temporarily fixed to the fixed wall portion 31c.
[0079] Furthermore, because the arm portion 42 extends in the second direction D2 that intersects with the first direction D1, the arm portion 42 can be lengthened without increasing the dimension of the arm portion 42 in the first direction D1. This makes it possible to easily elastically deform the arm portion 42 while preventing the arm portion 42 from protruding significantly in the first direction D1 when passed through the through hole 36. Therefore, it is possible to easily pass the engaging portion 40 through the through hole 36 while preventing the electrical unit 30 from becoming larger in size in the first direction D1.
[0080] Furthermore, according to this embodiment, the engaging portion 40 is formed with a curved portion 45 that extends continuously in a curved shape from the end of the base 41 that connects to the main body 33p to at least a portion of the edge of the arm 42 that faces the main body 33p, as viewed in the left-right direction Y. Therefore, stress generated in the engaging portion 40 when the arm 42 elastically deforms can be distributed and borne by the curved portion 45 that spans the base 41 and the arm 42. This prevents stress from concentrating at the connection between the base 41 and the arm 42, and prevents stress from concentrating on the engaging portion when the engaging portion 40 elastically deforms. Therefore, damage to the engaging portion 40 can be prevented.
[0081] If the arm 42 elastically deforms in the first direction D1 opposite to the main body 33p, simply forming the edge of the base 41 in a curved shape, such as a U-shape as viewed in the left-right direction Y, can sufficiently distribute and absorb stress. This is because the arm 42 deforms in a direction that opens or closes as viewed in the left-right direction Y, and the curved portion disperses and absorbs stress. On the other hand, if the arm 42 elastically deforms in the left-right direction Y that intersects with the first direction D1 opposite to the main body 33p, even if only the edge of the base 41 is curved as viewed in the left-right direction Y, the direction in which the arm 42 moves when elastically deformed intersects the direction in which the curved portion extends, making it difficult for the curved portion to sufficiently absorb stress. In contrast, in the present embodiment, the curved portion 45 is formed continuously not only on the base portion 41 but also on the arm portion 42, so that the stress generated when the arm portion 42 elastically deforms in the left-right direction Y can be suitably distributed and received by the curved portion 45.
[0082] Furthermore, according to this embodiment, the first curved portion 45a of the curved portion 45 formed on the base 41 has a curved shape that is recessed in the opposite direction to the direction in which the arm portion 42 protrudes relative to the base 41 when viewed in the left-right direction Y, and is smoothly connected to the main body portion 33p. Therefore, the stress generated in the base 41 when the arm portion 42 elastically deforms can be suitably distributed and borne by the first curved portion 45a formed on the base 41. Therefore, stress concentration on the engaging portion 40 when the engaging portion 40 elastically deforms can be further suppressed.
[0083] Furthermore, according to the present embodiment, the second curved portion 45b of the curved portion 45 formed on the arm portion 42 has a curved shape that is recessed in a direction away from the main body portion 33p in the first direction D1 when viewed in the left-right direction Y. Therefore, the stress generated in the arm portion 42 when the arm portion 42 elastically deforms can be suitably distributed and borne by the second curved portion 45b formed on the arm portion 42. Therefore, it is possible to further prevent stress from concentrating on the engaging portion 40 when the engaging portion 40 elastically deforms.
[0084] Furthermore, according to this embodiment, the arm 42 has an arm main body portion 42a located closer to the base 41 than the claw portion 43 in the second direction D2. At least a portion of the second curved portion 45b is formed on the arm main body portion 42a. The dimension of the second curved portion 45b in the second direction D2 is at least half the dimension of the arm main body portion 42a in the second direction D2. This allows the second curved portion 45b formed on the arm 42 of the curved portion 45 to be suitably long, making it easier for the second curved portion 45b to distribute and bear stress. This further reduces stress concentration on the engaging portion 40 when the engaging portion 40 elastically deforms.
[0085] Furthermore, according to this embodiment, the entire second curved portion 45b is formed on the arm main body portion 42a of the arm portion 42, which is located closer to the base portion 41 than the claw portion 43 in the second direction D2. This prevents the portion of the arm portion 42 where the second curved portion 45b is formed from becoming too large, thereby preventing the strength of the arm portion 42 from decreasing too much. Furthermore, since the curved portion 45b is not formed in the portion of the arm portion 42 where the claw portion 43 is formed, it is easy to make the claw portion 43 large. This makes it easier to stably engage the claw portion 43 with the fixed wall portion 31c.
[0086] According to the present embodiment, the electric component unit 30 includes an electric component box 31 having a fixing wall portion 31c and an electric component 32 accommodated inside the electric component box 31. The electric component 32 is fixed to an electric component holding member 33 serving as a fixed member. Therefore, when fixing the electric component 32 to the electric component box 31 via the electric component holding member 33, the electric component holding member 33 can be fixed or temporarily fixed to the electric component box 31 using the engaging portion 40. This facilitates the task of fixing the electric component 32 to the electric component box 31. As described above, the present embodiment can prevent the engaging portion 40 from becoming larger in the first direction D1, thereby preventing the engaging portion 40 passing through the through hole 36 from protruding significantly outside the electric component box 31. This prevents the engaging portion 40 from coming into contact with other components disposed around the electric component unit 30. Furthermore, when the blower 15 is disposed inside the housing 11 that houses the electrical unit 30 as in this embodiment, the air flow generated by the blower 15 can be prevented from being obstructed by the engagement portion 40.
[0087] Furthermore, according to this embodiment, the electric component unit 30 includes a heat sink 34 fixed to an electric component holding member 33 as a fixed member and thermally connected to the electric component 32. At least a portion of the heat sink 34 passes from the interior of the electric component box 31 through the through hole 36 in the first direction D1 and protrudes to the exterior of the electric component box 31. Therefore, the heat sink 34 can release heat from the electric component 32 to the air outside the electric component unit 30. Furthermore, an engaging portion 40 can be engaged with the periphery of the through hole 36 through which the heat sink 34 is passed. Therefore, with the heat sink 34 passed through the through hole 36, the electric component holding member 33 can be suitably fixed or temporarily fixed to the fixing wall portion 31c by the engaging portion 40.
[0088] According to this embodiment, the electrical component holding member 33 serving as the fixed member is an insulating member. The main body portion 33p of the electrical component holding member 33 includes a main body wall portion 33a to which the heat sink 34 is fixed and a frame-shaped wall portion 33b that protrudes from the main body wall portion 33a in the first direction D1 and surrounds the heat sink 34. The frame-shaped wall portion 33b passes through a through hole 36 in the first direction D1 and protrudes to the outside of the electrical component box 31. Therefore, as shown in FIG. 13 , the frame-shaped wall portion 33b, which is part of the insulating electrical component holding member 33, is disposed between the heat sink 34 fixed to the main body wall portion 33a and the fixed wall portion 31c. As a result, even if a current transmitted from the electrical component 32 to the heat sink 34 attempts to flow from the heat sink 34 toward the fixed wall portion 31c, the current must flow along a path that overcomes the frame-shaped wall portion 33b along the outer surface of the frame-shaped wall portion 33b, as shown by the path R indicated by the dashed line in FIG. 13 . Therefore, the frame-shaped wall portion 33b can suitably increase the creepage distance from the heat sink 34 to the fixed wall portion 31c, and the heat sink 34 and the electrical component box 31 can be suitably insulated from each other.
[0089] Furthermore, the engaging portion 40 protrudes from the frame-shaped wall portion 33b in the first direction D1. Therefore, it is not necessary to interrupt a portion of the frame-shaped wall portion 33b to provide the engaging portion 40. The frame-shaped wall portion 33b can suitably increase the creepage distance between the heat sink 34 and the fixed wall portion 31c around the entire periphery of the heat sink 34. Therefore, the heat sink 34 can be more suitably insulated from the electrical component box 31. Furthermore, as described above, the arm portion 42 of the engaging portion 40 extends in the second direction D2 instead of the first direction D1. Therefore, even if the engaging portion 40 protrudes from the frame-shaped wall portion 33b in the first direction D1, the engaging portion 40 can be prevented from protruding significantly outside the electrical component box 31.
[0090] According to the present embodiment, the frame-shaped wall portion 33b is rectangular. The engaging portions 40 are formed at the four corners of the frame-shaped wall portion 33b. Therefore, the four engaging portions 40 can more stably fix or temporarily fix the electrical equipment holding member 33 to the fixed wall portion 31c.
[0091] Furthermore, according to this embodiment, the electric component unit 30 includes a cover member 35 that covers at least a portion of the heat sink 34 from the outside of the electric component box 31. The cover member 35 is fixed to the fixed wall portion 31c together with the electric component holding member 33 as a fixed member by fastening members 37 that penetrate the fixed wall portion 31c and are fastened to the main body portion 33p. Therefore, by performing the work of fixing the cover member 35 to the fixed wall portion 31c, both the electric component holding member 33 and the cover member 35 can be fixed to the fixed wall portion 31c. This reduces the number of steps required for assembling the electric component unit 30.
[0092] Furthermore, as described above, even if the electrical component holding member 33 is positioned below the fixed wall portion 31c when the cover member 35 is secured, the engaging portion 40 can engage with the fixed wall portion 31c, thereby temporarily securing the electrical component holding member 33 to the fixed wall portion 31c. Therefore, when securing the cover member 35 with the fastening members 37, the electrical component holding member 33 can be prevented from coming off the fixed wall portion 31c, facilitating the task of securing the cover member 35 and the electrical component holding member 33. Furthermore, because the dimension of the engaging portion 40 in the first direction D1 can be prevented from increasing, when securing the cover member 35 as described above, the electrical component holding member 33 can be prevented from moving too far downward from the fixed wall portion 31c. This prevents the fastening members 37 from failing to reach the screw holes 33m formed in the electrical component holding member 33, making the task of securing the cover member 35 and the electrical component holding member 33 easier.
[0093] Furthermore, as described above, in this embodiment, the engaging portion 40 can be prevented from protruding significantly from the through hole 36 to the outside of the electric component box 31, and therefore the third covering portion 35d of the cover member 35 that covers the engaging portion 40 can also be prevented from protruding significantly from the electric component box 31. As a result, when the blower 15 is disposed inside the housing 11 that houses the electric component unit 30, the flow of air generated by the blower 15 can be prevented from being obstructed by the third covering portion 35d.
[0094] Furthermore, according to the present embodiment, the electric unit 30 is housed inside the housing 11 of the outdoor unit 10. The housing 11 houses the blower 15. The electric unit 30 is located above the blower 15 in the vertical direction Z. The fixed wall portion 31c constitutes at least a part of the wall portion of the electric component box 31 that is on the lower side in the vertical direction Z. Therefore, the air sent by the blower 15 easily flows near the fixed wall portion 31c. This makes it easier for heat to be released from the heat sink 34, which is passed through the through hole 36 of the fixed wall portion 31c, into the air sent by the blower 15. Furthermore, even when the air sent by the blower 15 easily flows near the fixed wall portion 31c in this manner, the engaging portion 40 and the third covering portion 35d that covers the engaging portion 40 can be prevented from protruding significantly, as described above, and therefore, the flow of air generated by the blower 15 can be prevented from being obstructed by the engaging portion 40 and the cover member 35. This can prevent the air blowing efficiency of the blower 15 from decreasing.
[0095] Furthermore, even if rainwater or the like is splashed toward the electrical component unit 30 by air sent by the blower 15, the provision of the cover member 35 that covers at least a portion of the heat sink 34 can prevent the rainwater or the like from reaching between the heat sink 34 and the electrical component holding member 33 and into the through-hole 36. Even if rainwater or the like reaches between the heat sink 34 and the electrical component holding member 33 and into the through-hole 36, the provision of the two sealing members described above can prevent the rainwater from entering the interior of the electrical component box 31.
