PORTABLE DEVICE FOR MULTIPLE STAINING AND ANALYSIS OF HISTOPATHOLOGICAL SAMPLES

Abstract

The present invention reveals a portable device for staining and analyzing histopathological samples. It comprises a main base on which cylindrical structures are mounted. Each structure contains a slide container, which is stained individually. The reagent can be reused thanks to a bidirectional pump that returns it to the container after use. To stain only one sample per container, a circular base with a rectangular perforation allows the reagent to flow from a reagent container to the slide container. If another sample needs to be stained, a stepper motor rotates the cylindrical structure, positioning another slide container over the rectangular perforation. A camera captures images for analyzing the stained cytological or histological samples.The configuration of the invention's operation and the visualization of the results obtained can be done using a smart device or a screen located on the side of the main base.
