Abstract

The present invention relates to a device for estimating a user's oxygen saturation by acquiring video without any contact between the user and the device. The novelty of the present invention compared to the prior art lies in its use of natural or artificial ambient light, cameras with a temporal resolution similar to those found in cell phones and webcams, and an algorithm based on the Hermite transform. Furthermore, the device's initialization and configuration are performed through user interaction to determine the algorithm's parameters.
