VOLUME SPACER FOR INHALED MEDICATION PASSAGE WITH VALVE MECHANISM AND NOZZLE WITH THREADED CLOSURE AND ADAPTABLE

Abstract

Volume spacer with a valve mechanism for inhaled medication delivery, featuring a screw-on mouthpiece and adjustable fitting. It is used in the treatment of respiratory conditions such as asthma, which requires inhaled therapy to prevent attacks and / or hospitalization. The model has a base with a universal inlet compatible with all metered-dose inhalers. The spacer body has two external ridges to improve grip for the patient. Its 177 cubic centimeter volume reduces medication adhesion to the spacer walls, minimizing impact on the oropharynx and ensuring the intended dose reaches the patient's bronchial smooth muscle. This spacer also includes a valve mechanism with a circular base, a concave / convex button, and five trapezoidal holes to prevent medication leakage.It holds and assembles a 1cm wide circular membrane that defines the button at the base. The adaptable nozzle has a screw-on closure, preventing accidental openings, and can be used directly or attached to the mask depending on the patient's age and needs.
