Urine Splash Mitigating Mat Utility Model for Urinal

Abstract

The present invention relates to a urine splash mitigation mat for a urinal characterized by comprising a substantially flat body defining an upper surface and a lower surface, with a plurality of conical drainage holes passing through the upper surface to the lower surface, distributed in parallel horizontal rows, and comprising on its lower surface a plurality of vertical legs for support at the bottom of the urinal, distributed in parallel horizontal rows and wherein each row of vertical legs is arranged between two adjacent rows of drainage holes, but with a lower density than these, distributed throughout the lower surface and equidistant from each other;and wherein its upper face comprises a urine jet impact zone with a plurality of vertical conical filaments that disperse and diffuse the urine jet impact, distributed in a polygonal arrangement around each drainage orifice; wherein said mat further comprises an angular flange in the areas defined between the base of two attached conical filaments, which define an angle-shaped profile to deflect and break up drops or streams of urine that have not been deflected by the filaments in their upper part.
