Abstract

ABSTRACT AN APPARATUS FOR REDUCING CONDENSATE DURING PALM OIL EXTRACTION The present invention discloses an apparatus (100) for reducing condensate during palm oil extraction, comprising: a float assembly comprising a float (103), a slidable orifice plate (102) and a rod (115) connecting the float (103) and the slidable orifice plate (102); characterized by: a pipe (105) connected to a palm oil sterilizer for directing and transferring steam into the float assembly through a strainer (108); a drainage pipe (106) for discharging condensate from the float assembly; a top pipe (104) extended from the float assembly; a thermostat (107) coupled to the float assembly for controlling the opening and closing of the top pipe (104) according to a temperature detected within the float assembly; a still plate (101) mounted to the top of the float assembly and welded to the top pipe (104); a top sheet (112) and a bottom sheet (114) disposed parallelly enclosing the float (103), wherein each of the sheet (112, 114) comprising an orifice and the top sheet (112) further comprising a hole for accommodating the rod of the float (103); and a common pipe (116) connecting the top pipe (104) and the drainage pipe (106) for discharge; wherein condensate accumulated in the float assembly, the float (103) slides up and opens the slidable orifice plate (102) to release steam from the float assembly through the top pipe (104), and when the condensate discharged from the float assembly, the float (103) slides down and closes the slidable orifice plate (102).
