Abstract
The present invention discloses a Lonicera japonica Thunb. anthocyanin synthesis gene and its application in regulating plant anthocyanin content and stress resistance, belonging to the technical field of genetic engineering. The nucleotide sequence of the Lonicera japonica Thunb. anthocyanin synthesis gene is shown in SEQ ID NO.6. The present invention provides a Lonicera japonica Thunb. anthocyanin synthesis gene, which has the functions of regulating the anthocyanin content in plants and regulating plant stress resistance. By constructing an overexpression vector and introducing the gene into plants to enable its stable overexpression, the anthocyanin content in plants is significantly increased, making the petal colour and seed coat colour of plants darker; it also significantly enhances the resistance of plants to drought stress and salt stress, enabling plants to adapt to harsh environments more easily, and provides new genetic resources and theoretical support for the breeding of highly stress-resistant plant varieties.
