A method of producing decellularized milkfish skin patch

Abstract

This invention discloses a method for decellularizing milkfish skin to produce a skin patch. The method involves a series of steps, comprising: (1) pretreatment of milkfish skin; (2) deodorization; (3) decellularization; (4) decolorization; (5) extensive washing; (6) lyophilization; and (7) sterilization. The present method employs a simpler processing approach while ensuring the removal of cellular components and preserving the structural and biological integrity of the extracellular matrix. This makes the milkfish skin patch suitable for various applications in tissue engineering and regenerative medicine.
