Composition and preparation of plant-based protein feedstuff for tilapia grow-out

Abstract

This invention relates to a plant-based protein feedstuff for tilapia grow-out, comprising a specific composition of Trichanthera gigantea leafmeal, fishmeal, rice bran, cassava starch, fish oil, vitamins and minerals premix, and distilled water. The feedstuff may further comprise preferred ranges for each component. The invention also discloses a process for making the feedstuff, including harvesting and processing Trichanthera gigantea leaves, drying fishmeal, and combining the ingredients to form pellets.
