3826 results about "Fish oil" patented technology

Fish oil is oil derived from the tissues of oily fish. Fish oils contain the omega-3 fatty acids eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA) and docosahexaenoic acid (DHA), precursors of certain eicosanoids that are known to reduce inflammation in the body and improve hypertriglyceridemia. There has been a great deal of controversy in recent years about the role of fish oil in cardiovascular disease, with recent meta-analyses reaching different conclusions about its potential impact. The most promising evidence supports supplementation for prevention of cardiac death.

Nutrition bar

A nutrition bar comprising about 10% wt or more of soy and/or rice protein, at least one transition metal or transition metal compound, and about 2% wt or more of a humectant, and wherein the at least one transition metal or transition metal compound is in a substantially water insoluble form at 20° C. or the nutrition bar has an Aw of 0.45 or less or about 1% wt or more of the soy and/or rice protein is in the form of nuggets and the humectant is selected from polyols. The bars have elevated levels of soy and/or rice protein, yet do not suffer unacceptable from a deterioration in taste or other organoleptic properties over time. In other aspects, a nutrition bar or other food which incorporates pro-oxidants and/or polyunsaturated fatty acids or their sources in encapsulated form, especially as microcapsules. The pro-oxidants may be metal salts such as copper, manganese, iron and/or zinc salts. Sources of omega-3 fatty acids include fish oil. Processes for preparing the polyunsaturated fatty acid capsules are also disclosed. The polyunsaturated fatty acid capsules/microcapsules are prepared by forming an emulsion of the unsaturated fatty acid with a carrier, spray drying the emulsion to form a powder and encapsulating powder, especially with a fluid bed. The invention is especially useful for encapsulating polyunsaturated fatty acids, or oil sources thereof, most preferably omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids, such as arachidonic acid, docosahexaenoic acid (DHA), eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA), lineoleic acid, linolenic acid (alpha linolenic acid), and gamma-linolenic acids, fish oil, and oil sources of C18:2 and C18:3 fatty acids such as canola oil, soybean oil or blends thereof.

Method for preparing fish oil ethyl ester microcapsule from fish pomace

The invention relates to a method for preparing a fish oil ethyl ester microcapsule from fish pomace, which mainly comprises the extraction of fish oil, the preparation of fish fatty acid ethyl ester, the purification of fish oil ethyl ester and the preparation of a fish oil ethyl ester microcapsule, wherein the extraction of fish oil comprising the following steps: eliminating foreign matters from fish viscus, cleaning, mashing, adding pepsin and neutral protease for enzymolysis, then adding anhydrous alcohol, standing to stratify, and centrifuging to obtain the fish oil; the preparation of fish fatty acid ethyl ester comprising the following steps: mixing the fish oil with ethanol, making the mixture to be subject to an esterification reaction under the catalysis of sodium ethylate, vaporizing the ethanol, washing with water, and then centrifuging to obtain the fish oil ethyl ester; in the purification process, supercritical CO2 extraction is adopted, the purified fish oil ethyl ester is a golden yellow transparent liquid, and EPA ethyl ester and DHA ethyl ester contents thereof are more than 50%; and the preparation of a fish oil ethyl ester microcapsule comprises the following steps: mixing sodium alginate, maltodextrin and sodium caseinate, dissolving in water, adding the purified fish oil ethyl ester, and adopting a spray drying method to obtain the powdered fish oil ethyl ester microcapsule which can hide the fishy smell of the fish oil ethyl ester, improve the mouth feel and be beneficial to packaging and storage.

General-purpose high-efficiency bulking compound feed for culter alburnus and pelteobagrus fulvidraco

The invention relates to a general-purpose high-efficiency bulking compound feed for a culter alburnus and a pelteobagrus fulvidraco. The compound feed is prepared from the following raw materials in portions by weight: 13-35 portions of imported steam fish meal, 10-25 portions of imported direct-heat fish meal, 3-5 portions of maggot powder, 2-8 portions of corn protein powder, 5-10 portions of soybean meal, 2-8 portions of fermented soybean, 2-4 portions of soybean meal, 3-8 portions of cottonseed protein, 2-5 portions of peanut meal, 2-5 portions of colza meal, 3-8 portions of meat/bone meal, 2-5 portions of sleeve-fish visceral meal, 23-33 portions of high protein flour, 1.0-3.0 portions of soya bean lecithin, 2.0-5.0 portions of sea fish oil, 0.4-1.0 portion of choline chloride (50%), 0.1-0.3 portion of vitamin C-phosphate (35%), 0.5-1.5 portions of calcium biphosphate, 0.2-0.5 portion of compound multi-vitamin, 0.5-1.5 portions of composite mineral salt, 0.04-0.2 portion of lutein (20%), 0.1-0.3 portion of phagostimulant, 0.1-0.3 portion of micro-ecological preparation, 0.1-0.3 portion of beta-1,3 glucan, 0.01-0.04 portion of phytase and 0.04-0.08 portion of non-starch polyase. The feed can meet all the nutritional requirements of culturing the culter alburnus and the pelteobagrus fulvidraco, so that fish bodies can grow quickly, high feed conversion rate can be achieved, and the coefficient of the feed ranges from 1.2 to 1.4. By using the feed, the immunity performance and the anti-stimulation capability of the culter alburnus and the pelteobagrus fulvidraco can be obviously enhanced, the energy of the fish bodies can be ensured, and the survival rate is improved by 5-10%.

Method for producing DHA by Schizochytrium in high-density culture through fermentation

The invention discloses a method for producing DHA by Schizochytrium in high-density culture through fermentation, relates to a preparation method of DHA, and provides a method for producing DHA by using a microbial fermentation method, which replaces fish oil to extract omega-3 polyunsaturated fatty acids. The method comprises the following steps of: inoculating strains in a shake flask according to the ratio of strains to a culture medium of 1: (5-10) for culturing until the dry weight of cells in fermentation liquor is 10-12g / L; inoculating the strains in the shake flask in a 1000L seed fermenter according to the inoculum size of 5-10%, culturing until the dry weight of the cells in the fermentation liquor is 20-24g / L; inoculating the strains in the 1000L seed fermenter in a 8000L seed fermenter according to the inoculum size of 5-10%, and culturing for 120-130 hours, wherein the dry weight of the cells in the fermentation liquor is 120-150g / L, and the DHA content is up to 26-30g / L. In the invention, through optimizing the culture medium and optimizing the culture conditions and by adopting a conventional fermentation method, the production rate of the DHA is at least 3 times more than the reported production rate. The production costs of the strains (the Schizochytrium), the culture medium and the culture condition are low, the yield is high, and the method is applicable to the industrial production of the DHA.
