Abstract
The present utility model relates to a process for producing fish scale glue comprising washing milkfish (Chanos chanos) scales, drying the washed scales, soaking the dried scales in deodorizing agents comprising vinegar and calamansi (Citrus microcarpa) extract, and boiling the soaked scales gradually in water. The process further comprises gradually adding water during boiling, stirring the mixture until a thick consistency is obtained, and straining and filtering the mixture to separate scale residues and obtain liquid glue. In a preferred embodiment, the soaked scales are heated at about 70°C to 80°C for about 60 to 90 minutes. The resulting liquid glue is collected in a container for use as a natural adhesive.
