Abstract

The subject of the application is a method for manufacturing coreless paper rolls comprising the following steps: a) Placing a metal rod in a winding machine; b) Winding thermosensitive paper onto the rod while simultaneously cutting said thermosensitive paper to a given width and length; c) Transferring the rod with the rolls wound on it to a dedicated recess in the winding machine, where the rolls are slid off the rod, characterized in that in step a) a chrome-plated metal rod is used; in step b) the thermosensitive paper is clamped onto said rod and is wound with constant tension.The subject of the application is also a coreless paper roll made of thermosensitive paper, twisted into the shape of a cylinder with a free end, characterized in that its supporting element is the paper itself from which the roll is made, constituting a 30 to 70 centimeter, preferably 50 centimeter, section of its length counted from the inner end of the roll, which section also constitutes the usable surface.
