Description

[0001] The utility model relates to the field of heat engineering, namely to collector units of water heating systems, in particular to devices for distributing coolant in underfloor heating systems, and can be used in individual and multi-apartment residential and commercial buildings.

[0002] The prior art includes manifold units for heating systems designed to distribute coolant through circuits, primarily for underfloor heating systems.

[0003] Russian Federation patent for utility model No. 163367 describes a heating system manifold assembly comprising distribution combs, a circulation pump, and an expansion tank, all integrated on a common mounting panel. This solution allows for compact placement of manifold components, but requires connection to an external heat source (boiler), which increases the length of connecting pipes and associated heat loss.

[0004] Russian Federation Patent No. 2674805 discloses a unit for a hot water supply and heating system, comprising a heat exchanger and means for regulating the flow of coolant. The device is designed to control flow in a system with an external heat source and does not include distribution manifolds for connecting multiple underfloor heating circuits.

[0005] International patent application WO 2024 / 127062 describes a mixing unit for heating systems integrated with a hydraulic separator. The unit comprises a housing with supply and return pipes and allows for the temperature of the coolant to be regulated directly within the hydraulic separator. This solution, despite the presence of a housing and the integration of the elements, does not include placement of an electric heating element within the manifold body and does not include distribution combs for connecting the heating circuits.

[0006] The technical problem that the claimed utility model is aimed at solving is the creation of a compact, energy-efficient and easy-to-install manifold unit for a heating system with an integrated heat source.

[0007] The technical result consists in reducing the metal and material consumption of the structure by combining the elements into a single module, reducing transit heat losses by minimizing the length of connecting pipelines between the heat source and the distribution manifold, and also in simplifying the installation of the heating system.

[0008] The specified technical result is achieved by the fact that in the manifold unit of the heating system, containing a housing with distribution combs, according to the utility model, an electric heating element (TEN) with the ability to heat the coolant is integrated into the housing, wherein the unit is additionally equipped with an expansion tank and a circulation pump, wherein the expansion tank, electric heating element, distribution combs and circulation pump are hydraulically connected to each other, forming a hydraulic circuit.

[0009] Integrating the electric heating element directly into the housing eliminates external connecting pipes between the boiler and manifold, reduces the number of fasteners and supporting structures, and reduces heat loss in the boiler-to-manifold section. The inclusion of an expansion tank and circulation pump in a single module ensures complete autonomy and readiness for operation without connection to external equipment.

[0010] In particular forms of execution, the utility model may additionally include:

[0011] Emergency pressure relief valve to ensure safe operation;

[0012] Automatic air vent for removing air from the system;

[0013] mechanical or electronic thermostat for heating control;

[0014] wireless communication modules (GSM, Wi-Fi) for remote monitoring and control.

[0015] Placing these elements in a single housing allows for the formation of a single module, which further increases compactness and ease of installation.

[0016] The claimed utility model is illustrated by a drawing: Fig. 1 - general view of the collector unit (schematic).

[0017] List of items in Fig. 1:

[0018] 1 - body;

[0019] 2 - distribution comb;

[0020] 3 - heating element;

[0021] 4 - circulation pump;

[0022] 5 - expansion tank.

[0023] The manifold unit is designed as a single module, in which all elements are mounted in a common housing 1, providing mechanical, hydraulic and electrical connections inside the housing.

[0024] Housing 1 is made of metal or heat-resistant polymer, contains inlet and outlet pipes, and mounting hardware for wall mounting. Distribution combs 2—supply and return—are secured inside housing 1 with threaded connections or welding. Each comb 2 is equipped with outlet fittings for connecting the heating circuits and shut-off and control valves. Heating element 3 is installed within the housing. The working part is in contact with the coolant. The electrical terminals can be connected to a thermostat.

[0025] Circulation pump 4 is secured inside housing 1. The inlet pipe of pump 4 is connected to supply comb 2, and the outlet pipe is connected to heating element 3 or the outlet pipe of the unit. Pump 4 is powered from the control unit.

[0026] Expansion tank 5 is installed in housing 1. The connection is made with a tube or through a threaded nipple, with a ball valve installed for shut-off during maintenance.

[0027] The emergency pressure relief valve can be screwed into the threaded hole in the top of the housing 1 or into a separate nozzle, and set to operate when the pressure limit is exceeded.

[0028] The automatic air vent can be installed at the top point of the body 1 or on the expansion tank 5 through a threaded connection, with a seal.

[0029] The thermostat and control unit can be mounted on housing 1 or placed on a mounting panel, electrically connected to heating element 3, pump 4 and temperature sensor installed in a sleeve inside housing 1. If GSM / Wi-Fi modules are present, the antennas are routed to the external panel.

[0030] The heating system manifold unit operates as follows.

[0031] The coolant (water or antifreeze) is heated by an electric heating element 3 integrated into housing 1. Circulation pump 4 forces the coolant through distribution manifold 2 and then through the heating system circuits (e.g., underfloor heating circuits). Expansion tank 5 compensates for changes in coolant volume due to temperature fluctuations, maintaining a stable pressure in the system.

[0032] Heating is controlled by a thermostat, which can be a mechanical device or an electronic unit with programming and remote control capabilities via GSM or Wi-Fi modules. When the set temperature is reached, the thermostat switches off the electric heating element.

[0033] When the permissible pressure is exceeded, the emergency pressure relief valve is activated. The automatic air vent removes air from the entire system, preventing the formation of air locks.

[0034] By integrating all the main elements into a single housing, material consumption is reduced, heat loss is reduced, and installation is simplified compared to solutions in which the collector and heat source are designed as separate devices connected by external pipelines.
