[0016] FIG. 1 is an isometric image of a suitcase system (SCS) 100 including an external pocket system 120 according to various embodiments. The SCS 100 may include a hard front 102A and a hard back 102B and include an rigid internal frame 117 with a hinge 118 (as shown in FIG. 7) where the front 102A and back 102B may be coupled thereto as shown in FIG. 7. The external pocket system (EPS) 120 may be sized to enable one or more liquid containers 130 including water bottles or other containers configured to store liquid or similar sized items to be stored therein. The external pocket system 120 may be fixably coupled to a side 104A (left side in an embodiment) of a SCS 100.

[0017] The external pocket system (EPS) 120 may be coupled to a side 104A of the SCS 100 that pivots about a hinge section 118 as shown in FIG. 7 or area to allow the SCS 100 to open thereabout. The EPS 120 may include elastic components such as the body 122 and top opening 128 to secure items stored therein. The EPS 120 may be formed of a mesh material 122 to enable items stored therein to be viewable. The mesh material 122 may be elastically flexible and flexibly restorable. The EPS 120 may include an elastic component 128 at its opening to securely engage items stored therein.

[0018] The EPS 120 may be coupled to a SCS 100 side 104A, 104B at one or more points / mounts 124 including four as shown in FIGS. 3 and 4. In an embodiment, the side 104A, 104B may also be rigid and the mounts 124 may be securely coupled to a side 104A via one or more fasteners. The fasteners may include screws, rivets, nuts and bolts, and combinations thereof. The mounts 124 may be offset from the pivot point or hinge 118 of the suitcase system 100 when opened. In addition, the EPS 120 may be coupled to the points / mount 124 via a connection element / mount coupler 126 as shown in FIGS. 1, 2, and 4. As shown in these Figures in an embodiment, two mount couplers 126 at the EPS 120 top opening 128 may be coupled to two mounts 124 (on the left and right side of the top 128).

[0019] In an embodiment, two mount couplers 126 at the EPS 120 bottom may be also coupled to two mounts 124 (on the left and right side of the bottom 129). In an embodiment, the mount couplers 126 may include an elastic component that enables the mount couplers 126 to deform or elongate to enable the SCS 100 to more easily pivot about the hinge section 118 and open to a larger angle (between the front 102A and back 102B). The SCS 100 may open and pivot about the hinge section 118 via a zipper 112 that bisects a front 102A and back 102B of the SCS 100. The EPS 120 may be coupled to a side 104A, 104B of the SCS 100 that is between / orthogonal to the front 102A and back 102B of the SCS 100.

[0020] As shown in FIGS. 1, 3, 5, and 6, the SCS 100 front 102A and back 102B of the SCS 100 may include travel indication system 140. The travel indication system may include images 142A, 142B of various continents and indicators 144. In an embodiment, the indicators 144 may include stickers that enables user to indicate one or more continents or regions that they have visited or desire to visit. In an embodiment, the markers may have the same shape as a continent, country, or location to be indicated. The battery system 150 may enable an electronic device coupled to a port

[0021] As shown in FIGS. 6 and 7, a SCS 100 may include a rechargeable battery system 150. The battery system 150 may include a rechargeable battery 152, one or more ports 156 (such as USB, lighting, or other electric port) and one or more electrical cables 154 including electrical connectors (such as USB, lighting, or other electric connector). The battery system 150 may enable an electronic device coupled to a port 156 or cable 154 to receive or provide electrical energy with the battery 152. The electronic device may also include a charger.

[0022] In an embodiment, the SCS 100 frame 117, hinge 118, front 104A, back 104B, sides 102A, 102B, and mounts 124 may be formed of various rigid materials including polymers, ceramics, metals, alloys, or any combination thereof. The EPS 120 body 122, top 128, and mount couplers 126 may be formed of various flexible materials include polymers, polyesters, nylons, natural rubber, other elastic materials, or any combination thereof. The body 122 may be weaved in different patterns or configurations for both visibility and durability including rip-stop patterns.

[0023] The wheels 116 may be rotatably coupled to a base of the SCS 100 to enable the SCS 100 to be moved along two wheels or four wheels in different directions as desired by a user.
