Abstract
A faucet with an assembly mechanism and method for securing a throat cover to a faucet body is provided. The faucet includes a faucet body, a throat cover, a waterway, and a retention mechanism. The retention mechanism is operable to secure a downstream end portion of the throat cover to a downstream portion of the faucet body. An upstream end portion of the throat cover is operable to be secured to an upstream portion of the faucet body before the downstream end portion of the throat cover is secured to the downstream portion of the faucet body.
